of_o they_o may_v conceive_v it_o but_o also_o he_o that_o more_o understand_v may_v be_v the_o worse_a whereas_o if_o he_o do_v hear_v &_o conceive_v it_o by_o he_o also_o many_o shall_v learn_v and_o we_o will_v not_o say_v that_o which_o as_o the_o scripture_n witness_v we_o lawful_o may_v have_v speak_v for_o we_o fear_v for_o so_o the_o least_o when_o we_o speak_v he_o be_v offend_v that_o can_v not_o conceive_v it_o but_o we_o fear_v not_o lest_o while_o we_o hold_v our_o peace_n he_o that_o can_v conceyve_v truth_n be_v deceive_v with_o falsehood_n which_o sentence_n he_o at_o the_o last_o short_o knit_v up_o 20._o more_o plain_o also_o confirm_v wherefore_o if_o the_o apostle_n &_o they_o which_o follow_v they_o the_o doctor_n of_o the_o church_n do_v both_o namely_o both_o godly_o preach_v of_o the_o eternal_a election_n of_o god_n and_o hold_v the_o faithful_a in_o awe_n under_o the_o discipline_n of_o godly_a life_n why_o do_v these_o our_o adversary_n be_v confute_v with_o invincible_a violence_n of_o truth_n think_v that_o they_o say_v well_o in_o say_v that_o that_o which_o be_v speak_v of_o predestination_n be_v not_o to_o be_v preach_v to_o the_o people_n although_o it_o be_v true_a yea_o it_o must_v in_o any_o wise_a be_v preach_v that_o he_o which_o have_v ear_n to_o hear_v may_v hear_v but_o who_o have_v ear_n if_o he_o have_v not_o receive_v they_o from_o he_o that_o promise_v that_o he_o will_v geve_v they_o true_o let_v he_o y●_z receive_v not_o refuse_v it_o so_o that_o yet_o he_o which_o receive_v it_o do_v take_v &_o drink_v do_v drink_n &_o live_v for_o as_o godliness_n be_v to_o be_v preach_v that_o god_n may_v be_v right_o worship_v so_o be_v also_o predestination_n that_o he_o which_o have_v ear_n to_o hear_v of_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n may_v glory_v in_o god_n and_o not_o in_o himself_o and_o yet_o that_o holy_a man_n as_o he_o have_v a_o singular_a desire_n to_o edify_v so_o temper_v the_o manner_n of_o teach_v the_o truth_n that_o offence_n be_v wise_o avoid_v so_o far_o as_o it_o lawful_o may_v be_v for_o he_o show_v that_o those_o thing_n which_o be_v true_o say_v may_v also_o be_v convenient_o say_v if_o any_o man_n do_v thus_o preach_v to_o the_o people_n if_o you_o believe_v not_o the_o cause_n be_v for_o that_o you_o be_v already_o predestinate_a of_o god_n to_o destruction_n such_o a_o man_n do_v not_o only_o cherish_v slothfulness_n but_o also_o maineteyne_v wickedness_n if_o any_o man_n also_o stretch_v his_o say_n to_o the_o time_n to_o come_v and_o say_v that_o they_o which_o hear_v shall_v not_o believe_v because_o they_o be_v reprobate_a this_o shall_v be_v rather_o a_o curse_a than_o a_o teaching_n such_o therefore_o augustine_n not_o unworthy_o bid_v to_o depart_v from_o the_o church_n as_o foolish_a teacher_n and_o unlucky_a and_o ill_a prophesy_a prophet_n in_o a_o other_o place_n he_o true_o affirm_v that_o it_o be_v to_o beholden_a
