meat_n into_o the_o stomach_n that_o be_v helthsome_a and_o sound_a to_o be_v digest_v so_o our_o inward_a man_n may_v be_v spiritual_o feed_v and_o satisfy_v by_o receive_v the_o meat_n thereof_o into_o our_o soul_n and_o hart_n sound_n and_o whole_a in_o faith_n and_o therefore_o we_o shall_v not_o need_v now_o at_o this_o present_a time_n in_o do_v these_o thing_n to_o whet_v our_o tooth_n o_o my_o soul_n but_o as_o s._n cyprian_n say_v with_o sincere_a faith_n to_o break_v and_o divide_v this_o holy_a bread_n for_o sure_o without_o faith_n which_o indeed_o be_v the_o only_a instrument_n most_o necessary_a in_o the_o right_a use_n of_o all_o these_o holy_a mystery_n it_o be_v impossible_a to_o please_v god_n herein_o neither_o can_v the_o unbeliever_n and_o faithless_a folk_n feed_v upon_o the_o lord_n precious_a body_n nor_o enjoy_v the_o eat_n and_o drink_v of_o this_o so_o high_a and_o divine_a nourishment_n of_o spiritual_a food_n yea_o to_o have_v any_o other_o eat_v than_o spiritual_o by_o faith_n only_o be_v plain_a idolatry_n it_o behove_v we_o therefore_o o_o my_o soul_n diligent_o to_o ponder_v weigh_v and_o consider_v of_o these_o thing_n that_o now_o labour_n for_o the_o same_o to_o the_o end_n of_o the_o world_n then_o begin_v i_o to_o dwell_v in_o god_n by_o charity_n know_v by_o the_o love_a charity_n of_o god_n in_o the_o remission_n of_o my_o sin_n that_o god_n be_v charity_n as_o s._n john_n say_v so_o that_o of_o my_o faith_n whereby_o i_o come_v to_o know_v god_n and_o whereby_o it_o please_v god_n even_o because_o i_o trust_v in_o he_o to_o justify_v i_o spring_v this_o excellent_a charity_n in_o my_o hart_n i_o think_v no_o less_o but_o many_o will_v wonder_v and_o marvel_n at_o this_o my_o say_n that_o i_o never_o know_v christ_n for_o my_o saviour_n and_o redeemer_n until_o this_o time_n for_o many_o have_v this_o opinion_n say_v who_o know_v not_o there_o be_v a_o christ_n who_o be_v a_o christian_n do_v not_o confess_v he_o his_o saviour_n and_o thus_o believe_v their_o dead_a humane_a historical_a faith_n and_o knowledge_n which_o they_o have_v learn_v in_o their_o scholastical_a book_n to_o be_v the_o true_a infuse_a faith_n and_o knowledge_n of_o christ_n which_o may_v be_v have_v as_o i_o say_v before_o with_o all_o sin_n they_o use_v to_o say_v by_o their_o own_o experience_n of_o themselves_o that_o their_o faith_n do_v not_o justify_v they_o and_o true_a it_o be_v except_o they_o have_v this_o faith_n the_o which_o i_o have_v declare_v here_o before_o they_o shall_v never_o be_v justify_v and_o yet_o it_o be_v not_o false_a that_o by_o faith_n only_o i_o be_o sure_a to_o be_v justify_v even_o this_o be_v the_o cause_n that_o so_o many_o impugn_v this_o office_n and_o duty_n of_o true_a faith_n because_o so_o many_o lack_n the_o true_a faith_n and_o even_o as_o the_o faithful_a be_v force_v to_o allow_v this_o true_a faith_n so_o the_o unfaithful_a can_v in_o no_o wise_a probable_o entreat_v thereof_o the_o one_o feel_v in_o himself_o that_o he_o say_v the_o other_o have_v not_o in_o he_o for_o to_o say_v i_o have_v certeinlie_o no_o curious_a learning_n to_o defend_v this_o matter_n withal_o but_o a_o simple_a zeal_n and_o earnest_a love_n to_o the_o truth_n inspire_v of_o god_n who_o promise_v to_o pour_v his_o spirit_n upon_o all_o flesh_n which_o i_o have_v by_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n who_o i_o most_o humble_o honour_v feel_v in_o myself_o to_o be_v true_a the_o four_o chapter_n of_o the_o great_a love_n of_o god_n towards_o mankind_n and_o of_o the_o inward_a behold_v of_o christ_n crucify_v let_v we_o therefore_o now_o i_o pray_v you_o by_o faith_n behold_v and_o consider_v the_o great_a charity_n &_o goodness_n of_o god_n in_o send_v his_o son_n to_o suffer_v death_n for_o our_o redemption_n when_o we_o be_v his_o mortal_a enemy_n and_o after_o what_o sort_n and_o manner_n he_o send_v he_o first_o it_o be_v to_o be_v consider_v yea_o to_o be_v undoubted_o and_o with_o a_o perfect_a faith_n believe_v that_o god_n send_v he_o to_o we_o free_o for_o he_o do_v give_v he_o and_o sell_v he_o not_o a_o more_o noble_a and_o rich_a gift_n he_o can_v not_o have_v give_v he_o send_v not_o a_o servant_n or_o a_o friend_n but_o his_o only_o son_n so_o dear_o belove_v not_o in_o delight_n riches_n and_o honour_n but_o in_o cross_n poverty_n and_o slander_n not_o as_o a_o lord_n but_o as_o a_o servant_n yea_o and_o in_o most_o vile_a and_o painful_a passion_n to_o wash_v we_o not_o with_o water_n but_o with_o his_o own_o precious_a blood_n not_o from_o mire_n but_o from_o the_o puddle_n and_o filth_n of_o our_o iniquity_n he_o have_v give_v he_o not_o to_o make_v we_o poor_a but_o to_o enrich_v we_o with_o his_o divine_a virtue_n merit_n and_o grace_n yea_o and_o in_o he_o he_o have_v give_v we_o all_o good_a thing_n and_o final_o himself_o and_o with_o such_o great_a charity_n as_o can_v not_o be_v express_v be_v it_o not_o a_o most_o high_a and_o abundant_a charity_n of_o god_n to_o send_v christ_n to_o shed_v his_o blood_n to_o loose_a honour_n life_n and_o all_o for_o his_o enemy_n even_o in_o the_o time_n when_o he_o have_v do_v he_o most_o injury_n he_o first_o show_v his_o charity_n to_o we_o with_o such_o flame_n of_o love_n that_o great_a can_v not_o be_v show_v god_n in_o christ_n have_v open_v unto_o we_o although_o we_o be_v weak_a and_o blind_a of_o ourselves_o that_o we_o may_v behold_v in_o this_o miserable_a estate_n the_o great_a wisdom_n goodness_n and_o truth_n with_o all_o the_o other_o godly_a perfection_n which_o be_v in_o christ_n therefore_o inwardlie_a to_o behold_v christ_n crucify_v upon_o the_o cross_n be_v the_o best_a and_o godly_a meditation_n that_o can_v be_v we_o may_v see_v also_o in_o christ_n crucify_v the_o beauty_n of_o the_o soul_n better_a than_o in_o all_o the_o book_n of_o the_o world_n for_o who_o that_o with_o a_o livelie_a faith_n see_v and_o feel_v in_o spirit_n that_o christ_n the_o son_n of_o god_n be_v dead_a for_o the_o satisfy_n and_o purifieng_v of_o the_o soul_n shall_v see_v that_o his_o soul_n be_v appoint_v for_o the_o very_a tabernacle_n and_o mansion_n of_o the_o inestimable_a and_o incomprehensible_a majesty_n and_o honour_n of_o god_n we_o see_v also_o in_o christ_n crucify_v how_o vain_a and_o foolish_a the_o world_n be_v and_o how_o that_o christ_n being_n most_o wise_a despise_v the_o same_o we_o see_v also_o how_o blind_a it_o be_v because_o the_o same_o know_v not_o christ_n but_o persecute_v he_o we_o see_v also_o how_o how_o grievous_a and_o how_o weighty_a they_o be_v see_v they_o have_v crucify_v christ_n for_o they_o will_v never_o have_v be_v counterpaised_a but_o with_o the_o great_a and_o precious_a weight_n have_v make_v they_o prince_n in_o all_o land_n therefore_o shall_v they_o remember_v thy_o name_n o_o lord_n from_o one_o generation_n to_o another_o almighty_a god_n which_o have_v build_v thy_o congregation_n upon_o the_o foundation_n of_o the_o apostle_n and_o prophet_n jesu_n christ_n himself_o be_v the_o head_n corner_n stone_n grant_v we_o so_o to_o be_v join_v together_o in_o unity_n of_o spirit_n by_o their_o doctrine_n that_o we_o may_v be_v make_v a_o holy_a temple_n acceptable_a to_o thou_o and_o o_o lord_n jesu_n christ_n which_o after_o this_o manner_n do_v comfort_v thy_o apostle_n who_o the_o world_n will_v hate_v and_o abhor_v say_v i_o have_v choose_v you_o out_o of_o the_o world_n therefore_o the_o world_n hate_v you_o separate_a we_o we_o humble_o beseech_v thou_o from_o the_o darkness_n idolatry_n and_o wickedness_n of_o this_o world_n and_o join_v we_o to_o that_o company_n among_o which_o thy_o godhead_n do_v dwell_v grant_v that_o in_o true_a love_n we_o may_v be_v join_v unto_o thy_o eternal_a father_n through_o thy_o spirit_n which_o be_v the_o bond_n of_o peace_n make_v we_o nothing_o to_o dread_v the_o sinister_a judgement_n of_o the_o world_n neither_o yet_o for_o any_o peril_n to_o forsake_v thy_o truth_n but_o patient_o suffer_v the_o injury_n from_o which_o thyself_o be_v not_o free_a let_v we_o always_o think_v that_o the_o servant_n be_v not_o great_a than_o the_o master_n and_o so_o together_o with_o thou_o and_o thy_o apostle_n suffer_v those_o trouble_n and_o cross_n which_o of_o god_n for_o our_o sin_n and_o amendment_n shall_v be_v lay_v upon_o we_o amen_o 21._o on_o all_o saint_n day_n let_v the_o righteous_a be_v glad_a and_o rejoice_v before_o god_n let_v they_o also_o be_v merry_a and_o joyful_a we_o thank_v thou_o o_o almighty_a god_n our_o heavenly_a father_n for_o that_o of_o thy_o infinite_a mercy_n through_o our_o lord_n and_o saviour_n and_o work_v of_o thy_o holy_a spirit_n thou_o gather_v out_o of_o mankind_n a_o everlasting_a church_n &_o have_v knit_v together_o thy_o elect_a in_o one_o communion_n and_o fellowship_n in_o the_o mystical_a body_n of_o the_o same_o thy_o son_n christ_n our_o lord_n &_o defende_v the_o same_o mighty_o against_o the_o rage_n of_o the_o devil_n and_o tyranny_n of_o his_o member_n yea_o and_o have_v promise_v one_o day_n by_o thy_o son_n to_o raise_v the_o same_o from_o death_n and_o to_o adorn_v it_o with_o unspeakable_a glory_n we_o beseech_v thou_o have_v mercy_n on_o we_o for_o the_o sake_n of_o the_o same_o thy_o son_n our_o mediator_n and_o saviour_n and_o grant_v we_o grace_v so_o to_o follow_v thy_o holy_a saint_n in_o all_o virtue_n and_o godly_a live_n that_o we_o may_v come_v to_o those_o unspeakable_a joy_n which_o thou_o have_v prepare_v for_o they_o that_o unfeinedlie_o love_v thou_o and_o gather_v from_o among_o we_o evermore_o some_o religious_a company_n which_o may_v serve_v thou_o in_o faith_n and_o a_o good_a conscience_n assist_v that_o in_o this_o life_n that_o benefit_n of_o eternal_a life_n may_v begin_v that_o we_o may_v in_o a_o contrite_a hart_n obey_v thou_o patient_o suffer_v the_o trouble_n which_o accompany_v thy_o gospel_n show_v ourselves_o meek_a and_o merciful_a hunger_a and_o thirst_v from_o our_o hart_n after_o thy_o righteousness_n and_o seek_v for_o the_o food_n of_o our_o soul_n above_o all_o thing_n make_v our_o joy_n perfect_a and_o rejoice_v in_o deed_n look_v through_o faith_n upon_o that_o bless_a company_n of_o angel_n and_o man_n which_o enjoy_v thy_o visible_a presence_n among_o who_o thy_o son_n be_v who_o they_o see_v face_n to_o face_n and_o fill_v with_o unspeakable_a delight_n here_o discourse_v of_o thy_o wonder_a wisdom_n both_o in_o gather_v and_o
