common_a report_n that_o be_v common_o divulge_v abroad_o touch_v christ_n and_o that_o by_o the_o teacher_n of_o the_o best_a repute_n in_o the_o church_n and_o the_o common-people_n reckon_v they_o to_o be_v very_o true_a and_o thereupon_o be_v horrible_o offend_v both_o at_o christ_n doctrine_n and_o work_n and_o this_o be_v christ_n a_o very_a sign_n to_o be_v speak_v against_o which_o isaiah_n foresee_v in_o the_o spirit_n speak_v thus_o in_o the_o person_n of_o the_o offend_a jewish_a church_n isai_n 63._o 3._o he_o be_v despise_v and_o reject_v of_o man_n a_o man_n of_o sorrow_n through_o faith_n and_o the_o spirit_n it_o comfort_v the_o heart_n and_o make_v it_o glad_a and_o settle_v it_o in_o inward_a peace_n and_o rest_n in_o the_o midst_n of_o all_o outward_a opposition_n and_o trouble_n as_o through_o god_n goodness_n we_o have_v find_v by_o experience_n for_o when_o we_o know_v that_o the_o word_n which_o we_o have_v receive_v and_o profess_v be_v the_o very_a doctrine_n of_o the_o son_n of_o god_n then_o also_o we_o know_v that_o it_o shall_v prevail_v against_o all_o kingdom_n commonwealth_n state_n government_n society_n university_n against_o all_o the_o haughtiness_n of_o man_n bow_v down_o and_o the_o pride_n of_o man_n lay_v low_a and_o the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n and_o his_o thing_n only_o exalt_v and_o that_o here_o where_o the_o wit_n and_o wisdom_n and_o part_n and_o learning_n and_o accomplishment_n of_o man_n have_v ruffle_v it_o and_o reign_v hitherto_o i_o say_v you_o that_o be_v thus_o offend_v for_o this_o cause_n be_v offend_v at_o christ_n himself_o and_o at_o god_n in_o christ_n and_o you_o do_v stumble_v at_o the_o stumble_a stone_n and_o shall_v so_o fall_v thereby_o as_o to_o be_v break_v in_o piece_n yea_o this_o stone_n itself_o shall_v fall_v upon_o you_o and_o shall_v grind_v you_o to_o powder_v and_o you_o shall_v be_v punish_v with_o everlasting_a destruction_n from_o the_o presence_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o from_o the_o glory_n of_o his_o power_n and_o this_o destruction_n shall_v be_v pour_v on_o you_o with_o the_o great_a severity_n and_o wrath_n that_o god_n himself_o can_v inflict_v in_o all_o his_o infiniteness_n and_o eternity_n for_o if_o as_o the_o penman_n of_o the_o epistle_n to_o the_o hebrew_n say_v the_o word_n speak_v by_o angel_n be_v steadfast_a and_o every_o evil_n speak_v against_o it_o false_o not_o only_o by_o the_o rude_a and_o ignorant_a people_n but_o also_o by_o the_o scribe_n and_o pharisee_n and_o hypocrite_n of_o this_o place_n and_o yet_o for_o
