have_v thou_o rather_o with_o one_o hell_n to_o gain_v another_o then_o with_o one_o paradise_n to_o gain_v another_o paradise_n be_v not_o negligent_a or_o without_o hope_n assay_v once_o his_o footstep_n or_o relic_n leave_v against_o they_o that_o fear_v to_o enter_v into_o the_o way_n of_o virtue_n for_o the_o love_n of_o this_o world_n chap._n xxix_o if_o we_o shall_v feel_v the_o pulse_n and_o life_n vain_a of_o all_o they_o who_o fear_v to_o enter_v into_o the_o way_n of_o virtue_n perhaps_o we_o shall_v find_v many_o so_o slothful_a and_o sluggish_a because_o the_o love_n of_o this_o world_n have_v infatuate_v they_o and_o make_v they_o fool_n i_o say_v that_o it_o have_v infatuate_v they_o for_o this_o love_n be_v a_o false_a glass_n and_o a_o appearance_n of_o good_a thing_n which_o in_o truth_n be_v not_o good_a which_o false_a glass_n make_v all_o worldly_a thing_n to_o be_v in_o so_o great_a price_n among_o the_o ignorant_a whereupon_o beast_n which_o fear_v shadow_n fly_v all_o shadowy_a thing_n as_o hurtful_a &_o dangerous_a when_o in_o deed_n they_o be_v not_o so_o these_o man_n on_o the_o contrary_a part_n do_v love_n and_o embrace_v the_o thing_n of_o this_o world_n suppose_v &_o estimate_v they_o to_o be_v lovely_a and_o delectable_a when_o in_o deed_n they_o be_v not_o therefore_o as_o they_o that_o will_v bring_v beast_n from_o their_o shadowy_a &_o idle_a imagination_n do_v often_o lead_v they_o through_o those_o place_n which_o they_o fear_v that_o they_o may_v see_v that_o that_o be_v but_o a_o vain_a shadow_n which_o they_o fear_v so_o now_o it_o be_v necessary_a that_o we_o lead_v these_o man_n through_o the_o shadow_n of_o earthly_a thing_n who_o so_o ordinary_o do_v love_v they_o that_o we_o may_v make_v they_o to_o behold_v they_o with_o other_o eye_n that_o they_o may_v plain_o see_v how_o great_a a_o vanity_n and_o a_o shadow_n all_o that_o be_v which_o they_o so_o great_o admire_v and_o love_v and_o that_o as_o those_o danger_n be_v not_o worthy_a that_o they_o shall_v be_v fear_v so_o also_o these_o good_a thing_n be_v not_o worthy_a that_o they_o shall_v be_v desire_v or_o love_v he_o therefore_o that_o shall_v diligent_o and_o serious_o consider_v of_o the_o world_n with_o all_o the_o felicity_n in_o it_o shall_v find_v six_o evil_n and_o mischief_n in_o it_o world_n which_o no_o man_n can_v deny_v as_o be_v shortness_n misery_n danger_n blindness_n sin_n and_o deceit_n with_o which_o the_o felicity_n of_o the_o world_n be_v always_o mingle_v by_o which_o it_o may_v plain_o be_v see_v who_o and_o what_o it_o be_v every_o one_o of_o these_o we_o will_v handle_v in_o that_o which_o follow_v yet_o brief_o and_o in_o order_n ¶_o how_o short_a the_o felicity_n of_o this_o world_n be_v go_v to_o thou_o can_v not_o deny_v to_o i_o beginning_n to_o dispute_v of_o this_o worldly_a felicity_n but_o that_o all_o the_o felicity_n and_o sweetness_n of_o this_o world_n or_o by_o what_o name_n so_o ever_o else_o thou_o will_v call_v it_o be_v short_a and_o of_o small_a continuance_n last_v for_o this_o felicity_n can_v endure_v beyond_o a_o man_n life_n but_o how_o long_o the_o life_n of_o man_n be_v we_o have_v before_o declare_v see_v that_o it_o reacheath_v scarce_o to_o a_o hundred_o year_n but_o how_o many_o be_v there_o that_o come_v to_o a_o hundred_o year_n i_o have_v see_v diverse_a bishop_n and_o cardinal_n who_o have_v scarce_o live_v two_o month_n in_o their_o dignity_n other_o elect_v pope_n who_o have_v scarce_o sit_v one_o month_n i_o have_v see_v other_o that_o have_v marry_v wife_n love_v beautiful_a rich_a and_o virtuous_a so_o that_o nothing_o seem_v to_o be_v want_v in_o they_o who_o have_v not_o enjoy_v they_o one_o week_n
