now_o they_o can_v but_o contradict_v the_o know_a truth_n and_o blaspheme_v against_o the_o holy_a spirit_n of_o it_o through_o what_o vessel_n soever_o it_o utter_v itself_o the_o sin_n of_o such_o religion_n answ._n by_o these_o word_n bish._n gauden_n seem_v to_o give_v his_o countryman_n and_o fellow_n christian_n to_o understand_v that_o as_o the_o time_n be_v change_v so_o in_o his_o opinion_n aught_o to_o be_v also_o the_o method_n of_o proceed_v against_o the_o quaker_n and_o other_o dissenter_n from_o themselves_o and_o that_o as_o we_o be_v deal_v with_o then_o but_o very_o unjust_o by_o the_o cudgel_n sword_n prison_n banishment_n plundring_n and_o sequestration_n proceed_v from_o the_o tyrannousness_n of_o those_o time_n from_o man_n void_a of_o reason_n law_n and_o religion_n so_o now_o it_o ought_v to_o be_v only_o by_o good_a life_n and_o sound_a doctrine_n from_o such_o as_o have_v true_a reason_n law_n and_o religion_n intimate_v also_o that_o the_o case_n obliquity_n of_o their_o inconform_a yet_o innocent_a action_n unto_o which_o say_v he_o there_o must_v be_v more_o tender_a and_o soft_a application_n account_v it_o no_o less_o than_o even_o unreasonable_a and_o unchristian_a to_o follow_v the_o example_n of_o tyrant_n in_o such_o proceed_n so_o that_o hereby_o one_o will_v think_v there_o be_v some_o good_a ground_n to_o judge_v that_o this_o bishop_n and_o father_n of_o the_o church_n so_o call_v will_v prove_v a_o tender_a nurse_n father_n indeed_o that_o do_v with_o no_o small_a disdain_n decline_v all_o kind_n of_o cruelty_n score_n of_o that_o both_o then_o and_o still_o blasphemous_a religion_n of_o they_o in_o order_n to_o such_o a_o end_n as_o the_o cure_n of_o offender_n and_o preservation_n of_o the_o public_a peace_n for_o they_o know_v it_o be_v the_o public_a preservation_n of_o truth_n which_o be_v the_o only_a thing_n that_o will_v break_v that_o nation_n public_a peace_n and_o that_o nothing_o be_v so_o safe_a for_o the_o civil_a power_n and_o so_o clear_o consistent_a with_o their_o peace_n as_o to_o let_v the_o truth_n and_o its_o child_n alone_o for_o the_o suffering_n of_o which_o by_o persecution_n among_o they_o when_o they_o have_v fill_v up_o the_o measure_n of_o their_o father_n who_o slay_v the_o prophet_n wrath_n at_o last_o come_v upon_o they_o to_o the_o uttermost_a but_o this_o bishop_n who_o i_o be_o sure_a will_v have_v his_o own_o way_n have_v perfect_a liberty_n will_v have_v it_o and_o it_o only_o to_o have_v not_o only_o all_o liberty_n but_o all_o outward_a emolument_n and_o advantage_n also_o in_o a_o way_n exclusive_a of_o all_o other_o to_o who_o he_o will_v indeed_o have_v facility_n and_o gontleness_n exercise_v with_o abhorency_n of_o all_o
