much_o for_o the_o sum_n of_o this_o verse_n and_o therein_o of_o their_o sin_n and_o here_o be_v diverse_a thing_n to_o be_v consider_v first_o it_o teach_v that_o we_o shall_v not_o great_o marvel_v that_o so_o many_o in_o this_o 6._o our_o age_n give_v themselves_o to_o popish_a religion_n see_v idolatry_n have_v in_o most_o age_n be_v so_o common_a by_o reason_n that_o it_o have_v so_o many_o player-like_o toy_n and_o babble_n of_o sight_n to_o blear_v the_o eye_n and_o sonnet_n to_o deceive_v the_o ear_n that_o it_o make_v they_o think_v they_o be_v in_o a_o piece_n of_o paradise_n while_o they_o embrace_v and_o be_v make_v drink_v with_o such_o fond_a conceit_n when_o indeed_o they_o be_v thereby_o carry_v as_o it_o be_v fast_o asleep_a to_o hell_n there_o be_v nothing_o that_o move_v or_o delight_v they_o in_o all_o the_o word_n of_o god_n right_o understand_v but_o only_o blind_a devotion_n in_o their_o false_a religion_n wherein_o they_o have_v be_v nuzzle_v up_o and_o then_o a_o fond_a and_o fantastical_a conceit_n that_o they_o shall_v go_v to_o heaven_n thereby_o as_o for_o the_o authority_n and_o warrant_n of_o their_o mass_n and_o other_o trumpery_n in_o the_o begin_n of_o the_o world_n nay_o in_o our_o saviour_n christ_n time_n and_o many_o hundred_o year_n after_o there_o be_v no_o shred_n nor_o rag_n of_o it_o use_v or_o know_v especial_o to_o any_o for_o so_o far_o they_o like_v whether_o it_o be_v sound_a and_o true_a or_o counterfeit_n it_o may_v be_v see_v not_o only_o in_o popery_n which_o be_v coin_a for_o the_o purpose_n to_o deceive_v the_o simple_a with_o strong_a delusion_n but_o also_o in_o our_o religion_n which_o for_o the_o outward_a manner_n of_o it_o be_v holy_a pure_a and_o good_a and_o consist_v in_o hear_v prayer_n and_o the_o use_n of_o the_o sacrament_n for_o the_o substance_n thereof_o and_o yet_o many_o of_o they_o who_o allow_v it_o as_o the_o true_a manner_n of_o worship_v god_n what_o do_v they_o for_o the_o most_o part_n but_o draw_v near_o to_o god_n with_o their_o body_n but_o their_o heart_n be_v far_o from_o he_o as_o if_o they_o will_v say_v they_o will_v glad_o go_v to_o heaven_n but_o they_o will_v have_v a_o easy_a way_n thither_o but_o to_o serve_v god_n in_o spirit_n and_o truth_n which_o 24._o be_v the_o direct_a way_n thither_o they_o can_v bend_v themselves_o thereto_o whereas_o there_o be_v as_o great_a delight_n in_o the_o worship_v of_o god_n aright_o and_o that_o by_o the_o 1._o lord_n allowance_n and_o promise_n which_o in_o the_o two_o former_a kind_n of_o popish_a and_o the_o other_o of_o only_a outward_a worship_n be_v want_v as_o great_a delight_n i_o say_v and_o as_o sound_v in_o true_a perform_v it_o so_o far_o as_o frail_a flesh_n may_v attain_v to_o as_o bristle_n against_o he_o any_o more_o if_o these_o i_o say_v do_v yet_o wax_v bold_a and_o kick_v up_o their_o heel_n against_o he_o what_o shall_v we_o think_v of_o they_o who_o relent_v not_o at_o find_v out_o their_o sin_n do_v also_o serious_o consider_v of_o the_o foulness_n of_o they_o and_o the_o woe_n that_o they_o bring_v with_o they_o and_o so_o tread_v they_o also_o under_o their_o foot_n and_o believe_v better_a thing_n to_o be_v come_v from_o god_n towards_o they_o even_o mercy_n and_o forgiveness_n which_o only_o be_v able_a to_o crush_v their_o sin_n in_o piece_n afterward_o as_o well_o as_o to_o make_v they_o kind_o and_o true_o acknowledge_v and_o cry_v out_o of_o while_o the_o smart_n take_v hold_v of_o they_o this_o be_v note_v of_o their_o groan_v now_o behold_v what_o the_o lord_n do_v when_o they_o do_v thus_o complain_v and_o cry_v 18._o out_o he_o have_v compassion_n on_o they_o and_o raise_v they_o up_o judge_n that_o shall_v deliver_v they_o out_o of_o and_o the_o manner_n brutish_a they_o want_v and_o will_v have_v to_o defray_v the_o hard_a world_n or_o to_o bestow_v upon_o their_o lust_n and_o to_o maintain_v themselves_o in_o pride_n of_o life_n but_o neither_o work_n they_o because_o they_o think_v it_o be_v a_o sin_n to_o be_v idle_a nor_o because_o they_o look_v for_o any_o other_o fruit_n of_o their_o labour_n save_v the_o bring_n in_o of_o the_o penny_n they_o see_v not_o who_o commandment_n it_o be_v that_o they_o shall_v labour_v genes_n 3._o therefore_o they_o go_v through_o it_o with_o vexation_n discontentment_n distrust_n when_o the_o mind_n soul_n and_o whole_a man_n be_v at_o rest_n that_o be_v enjoy_v feel_v and_o possess_v that_o for_o which_o they_o much_o travail_v and_o take_v pain_n the_o rest_n of_o the_o mind_n be_v actual_a resolution_n and_o note_n certainty_n of_o the_o truth_n against_o error_n and_o doubt_v and_o this_o be_v the_o fruit_n of_o seek_v knowledge_n the_o rest_n of_o the_o soul_n three_o this_o doctrine_n be_v to_o settle_v the_o best_a christian_n to_o be_v so_o still_o notwithstanding_o the_o taunt_n and_o mock_n of_o the_o ungodly_a who_o bait_n they_o with_o the_o name_n of_o hypocrite_n and_o man_n of_o singularity_n see_v they_o declare_v that_o out_o by_o their_o good_a life_n which_o they_o embrace_v with_o their_o heart_n and_o general_o let_v all_o such_o take_v warning_n by_o this_o as_o only_o have_v a_o name_n they_o live_v but_o be_v dead_a and_o who_o speak_v well_o but_o have_v not_o heart_n to_o do_v thereafter_o and_o as_o for_o such_o as_o reproach_n and_o scorn_v they_o who_o honour_n their_o profession_n with_o a_o life_n answerable_a their_o judgement_n sleep_v not_o it_o appear_v by_o that_o which_o be_v say_v here_o that_o as_o the_o angel_n will_v manoah_n to_o do_v even_o so_o he_o do_v i_o mean_v offer_v a_o burn_a offering_n unto_o the_o lord_n now_o object_n where_o it_o be_v object_v that_o it_o be_v not_o lawful_a for_o he_o to_o offer_v in_o any_o place_n but_o at_o jerusalem_n and_o therefore_o that_o it_o be_v not_o lawful_a for_o he_o to_o offer_v where_o the_o angel_n meet_v he_o i_o answer_v that_o it_o be_v lawful_a to_o offer_v in_o other_o place_n while_o the_o ark_n be_v carry_v about_o and_o be_v stay_v in_o no_o certain_a place_n but_o after_o the_o build_n of_o the_o temple_n at_o jerusalem_n then_o
