the_o promise_n all_o the_o creature_n be_v his_o friend_n for_o god_n make_v a_o league_n with_o the_o creature_n in_o the_o behalf_n of_o all_o those_o that_o be_v in_o league_n and_o covenant_n with_o himself_o as_o hos_n 2.18_o and_o in_o that_o day_n will_v i_o make_v a_o covenant_n for_o they_o with_o the_o beast_n of_o the_o field_n and_o with_o the_o fowl_n of_o heaven_n and_o with_o those_o duty_n that_o be_v more_o apparent_a such_o as_o prayer_n hear_v the_o word_n such_o if_o a_o man_n shall_v let_v alone_o he_o shall_v have_v no_o quiet_a nor_o peace_n in_o conscience_n but_o that_o sanctification_n that_o come_v from_o faith_n that_o be_v in_o respect_n of_o the_o inward_a more_o secret_a evil_n of_o the_o soul_n the_o secret_a rise_n of_o pride_n unbeleef_n and_o passion_n and_o so_o for_o more_o inward_a duty_n that_o sanctification_n teach_v a_o man_n to_o deny_v himself_o to_o submit_v himself_o to_o god_n will_v to_o be_v content_a with_o god_n disposal_n 2._o that_o sanctification_n which_o come_v from_o a_o enlighten_v conscience_n only_o raise_v a_o man_n to_o be_v more_o self_n conceit_v but_o that_o sanctification_n that_o come_v from_o faith_n and_o believe_a throw_v a_o man_n down_o in_o respect_n of_o all_o self-conceit_n it_o make_v a_o man_n more_o mean_a and_o low_a in_o his_o own_o eye_n as_o the_o scribe_n and_o pharisee_n and_o jew_n in_o our_o saviour_n time_n they_o have_v a_o great_a deal_n of_o this_o outward_a holiness_n and_o sanctification_n but_o see_v how_o it_o puff_v they_o up_o how_o they_o stand_v upon_o tiptoe_n and_o crow_v over_o poor_a harlot_n and_o publican_n as_o not_o fit_a to_o come_v in_o the_o company_n of_o such_o as_o they_o be_v but_o that_o which_o come_v from_o faith_n make_v the_o soul_n more_o humble_a what_o abundance_n of_o sanctification_n paul_n have_v he_o do_v press_v after_o perfection_n do_v walk_v more_o like_a one_o in_o heaven_n than_o on_o earth_n yet_o he_o can_v look_v upon_o himself_o as_o the_o least_o of_o saint_n concern_v act_v for_o god_n labour_v in_o the_o work_n of_o god_n he_o preach_v the_o gospel_n from_o jerusalem_n to_o illiricum_n labour_v more_o abundant_o than_o they_o all_o yet_o how_o humble_a yet_o not_o i_o but_o
though_o all_o the_o professor_n in_o the_o world_n shall_v say_v the_o contrary_a their_o profession_n weigh_v nothing_o with_o they_o but_o be_v the_o great_a offence_n to_o they_o by_o how_o much_o the_o more_o they_o profess_v when_o by_o this_o their_o profession_n they_o think_v to_o bear_v out_o themselves_o in_o the_o violation_n of_o those_o law_n which_o be_v by_o nature_n engrave_v in_o their_o heart_n and_o they_o know_v as_o well_o as_o themselves_o as_o to_o give_v instance_n it_o be_v one_o of_o nature_n law_n that_o a_o man_n shall_v be_v just_a honest_a and_o upright_o in_o his_o deal_n betwixt_o man_n and_o man_n now_o when_o a_o professor_n shall_v shuffle_v and_o equivocate_v and_o say_v and_o unsay_v have_v no_o regard_n to_o truth_n civil_a equity_n or_o justice_n just_o offend_v three_o when_o professor_n in_o their_o whole_a conversation_n be_v like_a to_o the_o world_n and_o singular_a only_o in_o profession_n for_o observe_v it_o when_o a_o man_n by_o his_o profession_n give_v it_o out_o that_o he_o dislike_v the_o way_n of_o the_o world_n and_o be_v a_o subject_a in_o another_o kingdom_n the_o world_n do_v now_o expect_v to_o see_v singular_a speech_n and_o carriage_n and_o action_n in_o he_o and_o that_o his_o walk_n shall_v be_v according_a to_o that_o which_o he_o will_v be_v account_v to_o be_v now_o when_o the_o will_v see_v this_o man_n which_o give_v it_o out_o he_o be_v such_o a_o one_o to_o shape_v his_o speech_n way_n course_n action_n by_o the_o law_n and_o custom_n of_o their_o kingdom_n when_o he_o talk_v as_o they_o talk_v and_o walk_v as_o they_o walk_v and_o act_n as_o they_o act_n be_v in_o all_o thing_n as_o far_o as_o they_o can_v discern_v one_o with_o they_o only_o in_o profession_n and_o will_v be_v another_o from_o they_o they_o be_v just_o offend_v and_o count_v he_o and_o such_o as_o he_o be_v a_o company_n of_o impostor_n and_o deceiver_n for_o though_o the_o world_n can_v judge_v of_o the_o law_n and_o custom_n of_o the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n which_o these_o profess_v they_o relate_v unto_o yet_o they_o be_v so_o well_o skill_v in_o the_o law_n and_o custom_n and_o way_n and_o fashion_n of_o their_o own_o kingdom_n that_o they_o can_v tell_v when_o a_o man_n walk_v with_o they_o though_o they_o love_v not_o savoury_a speech_n and_o godly_a discourse_n yet_o they_o judge_v by_o what_o these_o man_n profess_v that_o they_o shall_v have_v such_o though_o themselves_o will_v swear_v and_o lie_v and_o rail_v yet_o they_o think_v these_o shall_v not_o do_v so_o and_o though_o they_o count_v it_o no_o great_a matter_n in_o themselves_o to_o card_n and_o dice_n to_o lie_v and_o cousin_n and_o cheat_n and_o be_v drink_v and_o whore_n etc._n etc._n yet_o they_o think_v it_o be_v in_o they_o now_o i_o say_v when_o the_o world_n view_v professor_n see_v they_o in_o their_o whole_a conversation_n like_o they_o and_o can_v see_v no_o difference_n at_o all_o only_o they_o profess_v and_o we_o do_v not_o they_o be_v offend_v and_o that_o just_o use_v 1_o be_v it_o so_o that_o there_o be_v a_o woe_n upon_o the_o world_n because_o of_o offence_n then_o all_o thing_n consider_v the_o world_n have_v little_a cause_n to_o rejoice_v and_o make_v themselves_o merry_a with_o the_o fall_v and_o offence_n of_o the_o godly_a the_o fall_v of_o good_a man_n be_v the_o saint_n shame_n but_o they_o be_v the_o world_n woe_n thou_o call_v thy_o companion_n together_o o_o i_o can_v tell_v you_o story_n have_v you_o not_o hear_v it_o such_o a_o one_o of_o so_o great_a profession_n of_o such_o a_o way_n have_v do_v thus_o and_o thus_o but_o harken_v man_n i_o will_v tell_v thou_o a_o story_n have_v thou_o not_o hear_v it_o christ_n when_o he_o be_v here_o on_o earth_n cry_v out_o woe_n unto_o the_o world_n because_o of_o offence_n woe_n to_o the_o scoffer_n and_o mocker_n because_o of_o offence_n for_o he_o shall_v be_v harden_v by_o they_o woe_n to_o the_o drunkard_n the_o swearer_n because_o of_o offence_n woe_n to_o the_o formal_a professor_n for_o he_o shall_v be_v lull_v asleep_o in_o his_o formal_a way_n by_o they_o o_o woe_n woe_n to_o the_o world_n because_o of_o offence_n the_o world_n be_v never_o near_o the_o woe_n than_o when_o they_o think_v themselves_o further_a from_o it_o when_o by_o the_o fall_v of_o professor_n they_o be_v harden_v in_o their_o honourable_a thought_n of_o god_n way_n use_v 2._o be_v it_o so_o that_o there_o be_v a_o woe_n unto_o the_o world_n because_o of_o offence_n o_o then_o let_v all_o the_o people_n of_o god_n take_v heed_n how_o they_o offend_v the_o world_n if_o respect_n to_o god_n glory_n which_o be_v vail_v by_o offence_n if_o respect_v up_o weak_a saint_n which_o be_v shake_v by_o offence_n if_o respect_n to_o our_o own_o peace_n and_o communion_n with_o god_n which_o be_v break_v and_o lose_v by_o offence_n work_v nothing_o upon_o our_o heart_n o_o let_v this_o work_n we_o shall_v bring_v a_o woe_n upon_o the_o world_n undo_v the_o world_n harden_v and_o damn_v poor_a sinner_n in_o the_o world_n by_o offence_n let_v mere_a pity_n to_o the_o eternal_a soul_n of_o poor_a man_n and_o woman_n in_o die_v world_n which_o be_v like_a to_o be_v undo_v for_o ever_o and_o to_o suffer_v a_o everlasting_a shipwreck_n upon_o this_o rock_n make_v our_o heart_n ache_v our_o soul_n tremble_v lest_o we_o
