love_n of_o thyself_o and_o earthly_a thing_n because_o it_o may_v vary_v by_o very_o light_a occasion_n where_o contrariwise_o the_o mind_n firm_o set_v upon_o divine_a love_n can_v but_o continual_o rejoice_v vain_a frail_a and_o brickle_z be_v that_o which_o be_v not_o ground_v upon_o god_n but_o do_v thou_o forsake_v all_o thing_n and_o thou_o shall_v find_v all_o thing_n by_o faith_n for_o the_o lover_n of_o himself_o and_o the_o world_n find_v not_o god_n the_o love_n god_n who_o find_v not_o god_n of_o ourselves_o be_v earthly_a and_o not_o of_o god_n and_o be_v chief_a enemy_n to_o heavenly_a wisdom_n wisdom_n humility_n be_v the_o companion_n of_o heavenly_a wisdom_n for_o it_o care_v nothing_o less_o than_o to_o be_v eminent_a in_o the_o world_n and_o to_o be_v account_v great_a for_o which_o cause_n and_o for_o their_o own_o profit_n and_o simplicity_n it_o come_v to_o pass_v as_o almost_o with_o one_o blot_n it_o be_v put_v out_o of_o the_o mind_n and_o memory_n celestistiall_a and_o divine_a it_o be_v impossible_a to_o love_n consist_v wherein_o the_o love_n of_o god_n consist_v god_n unless_o you_o hate_v yourself_o that_o be_v unless_o thou_o be_v displease_v with_o thyself_o for_o thy_o sin_n crucify_v thy_o own_o flesh_n and_o mortify_v thy_o proper_a will_n that_o be_v by_o how_o much_o any_o man_n be_v attentive_a to_o the_o love_n of_o god_n so_o much_o more_o do_v he_o study_v to_o mortify_v and_o keep_v under_o the_o concupiscence_n of_o the_o flesh_n and_o his_o own_o proper_a appetite_n also_o the_o further_o thou_o departe_v from_o thyself_o and_o thy_o proper_a love_n by_o the_o power_n of_o divine_a love_n by_o so_o much_o the_o near_a be_v thou_o hide_v in_o god_n and_o his_o love_n through_o faith_n for_o even_o as_o inward_a peace_n depend_v on_o vacancy_n and_o leisure_n from_o outward_a thing_n so_o it_o must_v needs_o be_v that_o when_o the_o inward_o be_v at_o leisure_n and_o the_o heart_n free_a from_o all_o creature_n it_o cleave_v to_o god_n alone_o giving_z back_o from_o other_o thing_n the_o soul_n must_v enter_v thing_n self-love_n &_o the_o love_n of_o god_n be_v two_o contrary_a thing_n into_o god_n by_o consequence_n moreover_o he_o that_o go_v about_o to_o deny_v himself_o therein_o it_o must_v needs_o follow_v that_o he_o do_v not_o his_o own_o work_n but_o christ_n i_o be_o say_v john_n 14._o the_o way_n the_o truth_n and_o the_o life_n without_o the_o way_n no_o man_n go_v on_o without_o life_n christ_n the_o way_n the_o truth_n &_o the_o life_n the_o truth_n nothing_o be_v know_v and_o without_o life_n no_o man_n live_v therefore_o look_v upon_o i_o who_o be_o the_o way_n which_o you_o ought_v to_o walk_v in_o the_o truth_n which_o you_o ought_v to_o believe_v and_o last_o earthly_a thing_n addict_v himself_o to_o this_o temporal_a life_n and_o prefer_v this_o earthly_a paradise_n before_o that_o of_o heaven_n therefore_o god_n almighty_a by_o reason_n unexcusable_a man_n be_v unexcusable_a of_o temporal_a thing_n and_o in_o they_o only_o give_v unto_o man_n his_o election_n and_o choice_n who_o by_o riches_n honour_n grace_n and_o goodly_a gift_n it_o may_v be_v manifest_v in_o some_o sort_n whether_o he_o do_v cleave_v unto_o god_n respect_v he_o live_v in_o he_o or_o be_v seduce_v with_o their_o splendour_n and_o false_a show_n turn_v his_o mind_n from_o his_o other_o sin_n which_o because_o he_o neglect_v to_o do_v therefore_o according_a to_o the_o word_n of_o saint_n peter_n he_o be_v blind_a be_v forgetful_a of_o the_o purge_n of_o his_o old_a
