this_o testimony_n to_o bear_v whatever_o man_n may_v think_v or_o speak_v of_o we_o and_o whereas_o he_o speak_v of_o our_o lay_n hold_v of_o passage_n in_o his_o print_a sermon_n to_o favour_v our_o that_o he_o have_v charge_v not_o so_o much_o we_o as_o the_o spirit_n and_o power_n and_o precious_a appearance_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n with_o these_o thing_n we_o cry_v up_o work_v no_o otherwise_o then_o we_o be_v teach_v of_o god_n and_o as_o the_o apostle_n and_o prophet_n have_v cry_v they_o up_o faith_n be_v necessary_a and_o work_n be_v necessary_a in_o their_o place_n and_o the_o justification_n of_o each_o follow_v they_o and_o he_o that_o receive_v the_o spirit_n of_o the_o son_n and_o therein_o do_v righteousness_n be_v therein_o esteem_v of_o god_n righteous_a as_o with_o it_o and_o put_v it_o off_o before_o we_o can_v be_v clothe_v with_o god_n righteousness_n but_o the_o work_n of_o life_n the_o work_n of_o god_n spirit_n the_o work_n of_o the_o new_a creature_n the_o work_n of_o the_o new_a covenant_n these_o be_v not_o man_n work_n nor_o unrighteous_a work_n condemn_v by_o god_n but_o justify_v in_o and_o through_o he_o that_o work_v they_o the_o neither_o skill_n nor_o patience_n to_o try_v what_o he_o be_v in_o this_o his_o pure_a precious_a live_v powerful_a and_o glorious_a appearance_n in_o the_o spiritual_a light_n of_o his_o inward_a and_o joy_n which_o be_v of_o god_n and_o to_o give_v it_o a_o dash_n because_o mind_n estrange_v from_o the_o enlightening_n and_o conviction_n of_o god_n have_v much_o peace_n in_o their_o way_n and_o such_o be_v under_o delusion_n answ_n we_o do_v not_o tell_v man_n of_o the_o peace_n and_o joy_n we_o have_v in_o our_o god_n boast_o but_o in_o a_o faithful_a way_n of_o testimony_n concern_v and_o invitation_n to_o what_o we_o once_o want_v but_o now_o have_v find_v under_o the_o leading_n of_o the_o true_a shepherd_n and_o the_o peace_n and_o joy_n which_o he_o give_v be_v a_o evidence_n and_o assurance_n in_o the_o heart_n of_o those_o to_o who_o it_o be_v give_v by_o he_o and_o they_o that_o have_v be_v great_o distress_v for_o want_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o his_o powerful_a arm_n of_o salvation_n have_v meet_v with_o it_o it_o rise_v up_o from_o life_n in_o they_o to_o testify_v and_o say_v to_o other_o lo_o this_o be_v our_o god_n we_o have_v wait_v for_o he_o and_o we_o will_v be_v glad_a and_o rejoice_v in_o his_o salvation_n and_o o_o that_o â—e_v also_o be_v strip_v of_o this_o dead_a notional_a comprehensive_a knowledge_n concern_v the_o saviour_n that_o you_o may_v meet_v with_o the_o saviour_n himself_o and_o receive_v that_o knowledge_n from_o he_o which_o be_v life_n eternal_a and_o this_o with_o the_o true_a peace_n and_o joy_n thereof_o from_o he_o you_o will_v find_v no_o delusion_n he_o speak_v of_o suffer_v loss_n and_o of_o phrase_n and_o expression_n better_a say_v he_o to_o suffer_v loss_n in_o these_o then_o themselves_o to_o be_v destroy_v answ_n let_v he_o apply_v this_o home_n o_o that_o he_o see_v how_o those_o phrase_n and_o expression_n and_o imaginary_a knowledge_n which_o he_o have_v bring_v forth_o in_o this_o letter_n stand_v in_o his_o way_n to_o hinder_v the_o true_a knowledge_n and_o that_o he_o can_v possible_o receive_v the_o true_a knowledge_n without_o be_v empty_v of_o these_o and_o part_v wiâ—h_v they_o for_o the_o excellency_n of_o the_o knowledge_n of_o the_o truth_n as_o it_o be_v in_o jesus_n and_o without_o the_o true_a knowledge_n of_o jesus_n man_n can_v but_o perish_v and_o be_v overtake_v with_o destruction_n then_o for_o be_v helpful_a to_o establish_v person_n in_o grace_n answ_n such_o kind_n of_o doctrine_n as_o these_o do_v not_o tend_v thereto_o they_o may_v establish_v man_n in_o such_o a_o notion_n of_o grace_n as_o he_o have_v form_v but_o they_o neither_o tend_v to_o lead_v to_o nor_o establish_v in_o the_o grace_n itself_o but_o keep_v man_n from_o it_o nay_o i_o can_v true_o say_v it_o from_o he_o that_o be_v true_a that_o he_o himself_o can_v receive_v the_o grace_n the_o thing_n itself_o till_o he_o part_v with_o these_o notion_n and_o o_o that_o he_o may_v know_v the_o stone_n cut_v out_o of_o the_o mountain_n without_o hand_n to_o dash_v his_o image_n that_o the_o live_a one_o who_o give_v life_n may_v be_v receive_v by_o he_o in_o that_o measure_n of_o grace_n and_o truth_n which_o he_o inward_o dispense_v to_o all_o that_o travel_v out_o of_o the_o darkness_n of_o their_o own_o imagination_n and_o conceiving_n upon_o the_o scripture_n into_o his_o pure_a light_n the_o main_a reason_n he_o give_v why_o he_o be_v not_o satisfy_v with_o that_o which_o i_o send_v he_o concern_v the_o sum_n and_o substance_n of_o the_o true_a religion_n be_v because_o it_o fight_v with_o his_o notion_n even_o a_o state_v of_o our_o righteousness_n with_o god_n according_a to_o his_o imagination_n which_o be_v absolute_o a_o mere_a dream_n which_o he_o have_v dream_v of_o in_o the_o night_n and_o not_o see_v in_o the_o light_n of_o the_o day_n for_o the_o cry_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o the_o lord_n be_v in_o the_o gospel_n day_n open_v you_o the_o gate_n that_o the_o righteous_a nation_n which_o keep_v the_o truth_n may_v enter_v in_o this_o be_v the_o truth_n as_o god_n haâ—h_v reveal_v by_o his_o own_o spirit_n in_o this_o our_o day_n but_o to_o say_v this_o speak_v of_o our_o state_n in_o he_o without_o witness_v it_o in_o ourselves_o be_v but_o a_o mere_a dream_n and_o man_n can_v bring_v forth_o fruit_n to_o god_n nor_o be_v lovely_a to_o learn_v to_o wait_v aright_o for_o the_o open_n of_o the_o gate_n and_o enter_v into_o the_o kingdom_n and_o land_n of_o life_n and_o to_o be_v prepare_v to_o sit_v down_o with_o he_o for_o their_o be_v a_o state_n of_o discipleship_n wherein_o a_o man_n hardly_o know_v a_o settlement_n so_o much_o as_o how_o to_o watch_v with_o christ_n right_o and_o constant_o but_o it_o be_v a_o faith_n of_o the_o operation_n of_o god_n while_o they_o be_v yet_o in_o their_o sin_n in_o their_o ungodly_a state_n and_o how_o can_v any_o witness_v the_o faith_n of_o the_o operation_n of_o god_n in_o this_o state_n now_o it_o have_v be_v better_a he_o have_v forbear_v affirm_v that_o the_o lord_n teach_v he_o thus_o for_o true_o the_o lord_n never_o teach_v any_o thus_o this_o be_v not_o
