for_o it_o be_v the_o condition_n of_o the_o best_a man_n before_o regeneration_n to_o withhold_v the_o truth_n in_o unrighteousness_n now_o in_o this_o point_n we_o will_v handle_v three_o thing_n first_o what_o this_o truth_n be_v second_o how_o it_o be_v withheld_a three_o the_o greatness_n of_o the_o sin_n of_o withhold_a the_o truth_n etc._n etc._n for_o the_o first_o what_o this_o truth_n be_v truth_n you_o must_v know_v there_o be_v a_o threefold_a kind_n of_o truth_n first_o a_o natural_a truth_n write_v in_o the_o heart_n of_o man_n to_o who_o the_o scripture_n be_v never_o reveal_v second_o a_o common_a truth_n or_o common_a knowledge_n such_o as_o they_o have_v that_o live_v in_o the_o church_n but_o be_v not_o sanctify_v three_o a_o spiritual_a knowledge_n which_o sanctify_v the_o heart_n of_o they_o in_o who_o it_o be_v the_o two_o first_o whereof_o natural_a knowledge_n and_o common_a knowledge_n natural_a man_n may_v have_v now_o the_o thing_n we_o have_v to_o do_v be_v to_o show_v you_o what_o this_o knowledge_n here_o mean_v be_v because_o the_o difference_n be_v not_o very_o apparent_a now_o as_o to_o understand_v what_o a_o accident_n be_v you_o consider_v first_o where_o this_o truth_n be_v now_o there_o be_v a_o truth_n place_v in_o the_o speculative_a part_n of_o the_o mind_n or_o understanding_n which_o be_v that_o by_o which_o we_o know_v and_o judge_v aright_o concern_v god_n and_o moral_a virtue_n what_o be_v good_a and_o what_o be_v bad_a what_o be_v just_a and_o what_o be_v unjust_a whereby_o many_o man_n can_v discourse_v learned_o and_o clear_o as_o seneca_n and_o tully_n and_o other_o of_o the_o heathen_a in_o who_o we_o find_v many_o glimmering_n and_o sparkle_n of_o true_a light_n as_o we_o may_v find_v flower_n in_o the_o waste_n though_o the_o proper_a place_n be_v the_o garden_n the_o church_n be_v the_o garden_n of_o god_n as_o in_o canticle_n my_o sister_n my_o spouse_n be_v as_o a_o garden_n enclose_v and_o it_o be_v true_a these_o flower_n proper_o grow_v there_o and_o if_o you_o will_v have_v they_o you_o must_v seek_v they_o in_o the_o scripture_n in_o the_o church_n of_o god_n but_o we_o may_v likewise_o find_v they_o abroad_o second_o this_o truth_n be_v place_v in_o the_o practical_a part_n of_o the_o understanding_n and_o that_o be_v when_o we_o judge_v of_o good_a thing_n to_o be_v do_v and_o of_o ill_a thing_n not_o to_o be_v do_v and_o that_o as_o have_v reference_n to_o god_n that_o judge_n or_o reward_n and_o this_o be_v it_o divine_v call_v conscience_n and_o it_o differ_v from_o the_o other_o in_o this_o that_o that_o judge_v simple_o whether_o it_o be_v good_a or_o bad_a but_o this_o give_v law_n and_o rule_n and_o edict_n of_o life_n it_o
that_o they_o have_v you_o shall_v find_v a_o double_a difference_n thing_n first_o though_o in_o the_o truth_n they_o know_v they_o go_v exceed_o far_o as_o i_o have_v show_v you_o yet_o in_o this_o they_o fall_v short_a that_o they_o understand_v not_o the_o secret_n of_o god_n there_o be_v certain_a secret_n which_o god_n reveal_v to_o none_o but_o to_o they_o that_o fear_v he_o there_o be_v something_o in_o these_o truth_n that_o civil_a man_n do_v not_o understand_v consider_v that_o speech_n speak_v by_o our_o saviour_n to_o jerusalem_n o_o jerusalem_n that_o thou_o have_v know_v the_o thing_n belong_v to_o thy_o peace_n but_o now_o they_o be_v hide_v from_o thy_o eye_n what_o be_v hide_v from_o they_o not_o the_o thing_n themselves_o simple_o consider_v for_o they_o be_v full_o reveal_v christ_n himself_o preach_v there_o there_o want_v no_o light_n to_o shine_v to_o they_o yet_o it_o be_v hide_v from_o their_o eye_n that_o be_v there_o be_v a_o certain_a secret_a which_o if_o god_n have_v reveal_v it_o will_v have_v persuade_v they_o to_o have_v turn_v to_o he_o effectual_o but_o that_o be_v hide_v from_o their_o eye_n and_o so_o they_o be_v stranger_n from_o the_o life_n of_o god_n so_o the_o life_n of_o holiness_n and_o religion_n these_o man_n understand_v not_o there_o be_v something_o spiritual_a which_o they_o can_v comprehend_v there_o light_n go_v as_o far_o as_o it_o may_v when_o a_o man_n have_v a_o natural_a a_o common_a light_n it_o will_v apprehend_v common_a object_n such_o as_o be_v suitable_a to_o it_o it_o apprehend_v but_o that_o which_o be_v spiritual_a it_o can_v reach_v unto_o 1_o cor._n 2.14_o a_o natural_a man_n understand_v not_o the_o thing_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n for_o they_o be_v spiritual_o discern_v that_o be_v the_o very_a thing_n wherein_o the_o image_n of_o god_n consist_v wherein_o true_a holiness_n express_v itself_o they_o do_v not_o understand_v therefore_o it_o seem_v a_o strange_a thing_n to_o they_o as_o in_o 1_o pet._n 4.4_o that_o other_o run_v not_o into_o the_o same_o excess_n of_o riot_n it_o seem_v strange_a now_o mark_v that_o word_n nothing_o seem_v strange_a but_o when_o a_o man_n be_v ignorant_a of_o its_o cause_n be_v not_o acquaint_v with_o it_o and_o therefore_o he_o be_v still_o find_v fault_n with_o it_o therefore_o unholy_a man_n have_v a_o light_n that_o reach_v to_o not_o what_o it_o be_v to_o be_v exact_a and_o strict_a in_o all_o thing_n and_o that_o be_v the_o first_o difference_n they_o know_v not_o the_o secret_a of_o god_n they_o may_v go_v through_o the_o whole_a course_n of_o divinity_n and_o be_v acquaint_v with_o all_o the_o mystery_n of_o salvation_n but_o that_o secret_a of_o his_o they_o understand_v not_o second_o there_o be_v this_o difference_n in_o the_o thing_n they_o do_v know_v they_o know_v they_o indeed_o i_o speak_v of_o they_o they_o do_v know_v that_o be_v within_o their_o own_o sphere_n their_o own_o compass_n but_o therefore_o they_o receive_v the_o truth_n but_o not_o the_o love_n of_o the_o truth_n they_o do_v not_o relish_v it_o they_o apprehend_v it_o not_o aright_o and_o for_o that_o cause_n they_o practise_v it_o not_o you_o have_v they_o excellent_o set_v down_o in_o jude_n 14._o they_o speak_v evil_a say_v the_o apostle_n of_o the_o thing_n they_o know_v not_o you_o see_v there_o be_v some_o thing_n they_o know_v not_o and_o therefore_o they_o speak_v evil_a of_o they_o and_o what_o thing_n they_o do_v know_v as_o beast_n without_o reason_n in_o they_o they_o corrupt_v themselves_o that_o be_v they_o do_v not_o practise_v according_a to_o their_o knowledge_n though_o they_o be_v acquaint_v with_o the_o way_n of_o god_n in_o that_o measure_n that_o they_o know_v they_o ought_v to_o abstain_v from_o these_o and_o these_o sin_n yet_o in_o these_o thing_n that_o they_o know_v natural_o they_o be_v corrupt_v so_o you_o see_v the_o difference_n between_o they_o and_o the_o true_o regenerate_v in_o matter_n of_o understanding_n conscience_n second_o to_o keep_v the_o same_o method_n i_o do_v in_o the_o other_o for_o matter_n of_o conscience_n you_o shall_v find_v this_o difference_n and_o in_o this_o they_o fall_v short_a though_o they_o do_v make_v conscience_n of_o many_o thing_n notwithstanding_o they_o have_v not_o a_o good_a conscience_n for_o conscience_n be_v good_a in_o two_o respect_n either_o because_o it_o witness_v good_a to_o we_o and_o so_o we_o common_o use_v it_o or_o as_o it_o be_v subjective_o good_a and_o so_o the_o love_n of_o god_n be_v good_a and_o the_o fear_n of_o god_n be_v good_a and_o in_o this_o they_o have_v not_o a_o good_a conscience_n for_o it_o be_v require_v that_o the_o conscience_n be_v inherent_o and_o subjective_o good_a that_o a_o man_n make_v conscience_n not_o out_o of_o slavish_a fear_n but_o out_o of_o willingness_n as_o a_o chaste_a wife_n desire_v to_o please_v her_o husband_n because_o she_o love_v he_o she_o be_v loath_a to_o displease_v he_o will_v not_o lose_v his_o favour_n for_o any_o thing_n and_o therefore_o she_o observe_v he_o exact_o and_o will_v not_o offend_v he_o when_o the_o conscience_n stand_v in_o this_o reference_n to_o god_n it_o be_v a_o good_a conscience_n on_o the_o other_o side_n let_v a_o man_n make_v conscience_n of_o never_o so_o many_o thing_n yet_o if_o it_o be_v out_o of_o fear_n as_o a_o servant_n fear_v his_o master_n or_o as_o the_o thief_n fear_v the_o judge_n his_o conscience_n be_v not_o good_a so_o that_o the_o civil_a man_n can_v be_v say_v to_o have_v a_o good_a conscience_n in_o the_o thing_n they_o abstain_v from_o out_o of_o conscience_n note_n because_o they_o do_v it_o not_o willing_o but_o as_o of_o necessity_n now_o all_o god_n look_v to_o be_v to_o have_v what_o be_v do_v do_v willing_o and_o therefore_o it_o be_v no_o wonder_n that_o divine_v give_v this_o as_o a_o sure_a rule_n that_o desire_n be_v a_o sign_n sure_a enough_o of_o grace_n if_o a_o man_n have_v a_o true_a desire_n to_o please_v god_n it_o can_v deceive_v he_o for_o the_o desire_n be_v more_o than_o the_o deed_n as_o saint_n paul_n say_v in_o 2_o cor._n 8._o in_o matter_n of_o give_v you_o have_v not_o only_o be_v ready_a to_o do_v but_o to_o will_n and_o to_o be_v forward_o as_o if_o the_o will_n be_v more_o than_o the_o deed_n and_o so_o it_o be_v indeed_o a_o man_n may_v perform_v many_o action_n of_o religion_n abstain_v from_o many_o sin_n reform_v his_o life_n in_o many_o thing_n but_o it_o be_v another_o matter_n to_o desire_v to_o please_v god_n according_a to_o that_o of_o nehemiah_n 1.11_o let_v thy_o ear_n be_v attentive_a to_o the_o prayer_n of_o thy_o servant_n that_o desire_v to_o fear_v thy_o name_n there_o be_v none_o but_o the_o servant_n of_o god_n that_o desire_n to_o fear_v he_o if_o other_o be_v ask_v whether_o they_o can_v not_o be_v content_a there_o be_v no_o law_n to_o restrain_v they_o that_o no_o necessity_n of_o holiness_n lay_v on_o they_o they_o will_v answer_v they_o can_v desire_v that_o there_o be_v none_o that_o they_o be_v at_o liberty_n and_o therefore_o when_o they_o make_v conscience_n of_o any_o thing_n it_o be_v not_o out_o of_o willingness_n but_o out_o of_o a_o slavish_a fear_n though_o it_o be_v out_o of_o conscience_n yet_o the_o conscience_n be_v not_o good_a and_o in_o this_o respect_n they_o fall_v short_a three_o for_o matter_n of_o moral_a virtue_n they_o may_v have_v many_o excellent_a virtue_n plant_v in_o their_o heart_n virtue_n which_o be_v the_o gift_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n for_o the_o holy_a ghost_n do_v not_o only_o enlighten_v the_o understanding_n of_o some_o that_o shall_v never_o be_v save_v but_o also_o place_v many_o gift_n in_o their_o will_n and_o affection_n but_o this_o defect_n they_o have_v they_o neither_o come_v from_o a_o right_a principle_n nor_o tend_v to_o a_o right_a end_n they_o come_v from_o no_o high_a a_o wellhead_n than_o nature_n they_o be_v common_a to_o they_o that_o be_v only_o natural_a and_o therefore_o it_o can_v be_v proper_a to_o they_o that_o shall_v be_v save_v i_o say_v nature_n be_v able_a to_o bring_v forth_o these_o virtue_n even_o as_o the_o earth_n for_o that_o similitude_n will_v express_v it_o be_v able_a to_o bring_v forth_o two_o thing_n weed_n and_o grass_n you_o know_v blood_n and_o spirit_n as_o it_o be_v than_o thou_o shall_v find_v their_o sweetness_n even_o more_o than_o any_o man_n can_v express_v who_o himself_o have_v not_o feel_v it_o object_n but_o now_o all_o the_o question_n be_v how_o shall_v a_o man_n be_v able_a to_o do_v this_o it_o may_v be_v many_o will_v be_v ready_a to_o say_v i_o can_v be_v content_a to_o do_v it_o but_o i_o be_o not_o able_a i_o have_v many_o good_a purpose_n and_o desire_n and_o be_o willing_a to_o practise_v what_o i_o know_v but_o i_o be_o weak_a in_o performance_n answ._n i_o will_v only_o point_v to_o the_o man_n indeed_o there_o be_v different_a measure_n but_o to_o every_o one_o some_o measure_n be_v give_v set_v forth_o by_o the_o author_n thereof_o god_n say_v he_o have_v show_v it_o to_o they_o second_o it_o be_v set_v forth_o more_o particular_o by_o the_o thing_n that_o be_v reveal_v and_o three_o by_o the_o mean_n whereby_o it_o be_v reveal_v four_o by_o the_o end_n second_o the_o thing_n that_o be_v reaveal_v as_o if_o he_o have_v say_v if_o you_o will_v know_v more_o particular_o what_o this_o knowledge_n be_v it_o be_v the_o knowledge_n of_o god_n eternal_a power_n and_o godhead_n three_o will_v you_o know_v the_o mean_n how_o it_o be_v reveal_v it_o be_v reveal_v by_o his_o work_n and_o chief_o by_o the_o creation_n of_o the_o world_n object_n but_o you_o will_v object_v his_o eternal_a power_n and_o godhead_n be_v invisible_a shut_v up_o from_o the_o view_n of_o man_n how_o shall_v man_n do_v to_o see_v and_o understand_v these_o thing_n answ._n see_v they_o be_v so_o remote_a say_v he_o they_o be_v know_v by_o the_o thing_n that_o be_v see_v you_o may_v see_v the_o world_n you_o may_v see_v the_o work_n of_o his_o providence_n these_o thing_n run_v into_o the_o sense_n and_o by_o these_o they_o be_v know_v as_o the_o soul_n of_o a_o man_n be_v a_o thing_n in_o itself_o invisible_a but_o yet_o you_o may_v see_v it_o by_o the_o motion_n of_o the_o body_n the_o effect_n of_o the_o soul_n in_o the_o body_n this_o the_o sense_n be_v capable_a of_o so_o the_o invisible_a thing_n of_o god_n be_v know_v by_o the_o thing_n that_o be_v see_v last_o of_o all_o this_o be_v set_v out_o by_o the_o end_n wherefore_o god_n have_v do_v this_o the_o end_n be_v that_o they_o may_v be_v without_o excuse_n and_o so_o far_o he_o prove_v the_o first_o part_n that_o there_o be_v a_o truth_n reveal_v to_o man_n in_o the_o next_o word_n he_o come_v to_o prove_v unrighteousness_n that_o they_o withhold_v the_o truth_n in_o unrighteousness_n for_o they_o know_v god_n but_o they_o glorify_v he_o not_o as_o god_n and_o not_o negative_o only_a but_o affirmative_o also_o their_o foolish_a heart_n be_v full_a of_o darkness_n they_o become_v vain_a in_o their_o imagination_n but_o object_n they_o be_v wise_a man_n grecian_n athenian_n man_n excel_v in_o wisdom_n all_o other_o how_o do_v they_o detain_v it_o one_o will_v think_v they_o do_v enlarge_v it_o it_o be_v true_a they_o be_v wise_a in_o their_o own_o conceit_n but_o think_v themselves_o wise_a they_o become_v fool_n how_o do_v that_o appear_v they_o turn_v the_o glory_n of_o the_o incorruptible_a god_n into_o the_o image_n of_o corruptible_a man_n etc._n etc._n so_o much_o for_o the_o scope_n of_o the_o word_n we_o will_v not_o run_v to_o every_o particular_a because_o this_o be_v a_o place_n of_o scripture_n on_o which_o we_o mean_v not_o to_o dwell_v but_o these_o three_o point_n we_o intend_v to_o handle_v out_o of_o these_o two_o verse_n in_o the_o handle_n of_o which_o you_o shall_v see_v all_o these_o particular_n will_v be_v bring_v in_o the_o first_o be_v that_o that_o law_n or_o truth_n or_o knowledge_n by_o which_o every_o man_n shall_v be_v judge_v be_v make_v manifest_a by_o god_n himself_o second_o the_o work_n of_o god_n or_o the_o creation_n be_v the_o mean_n by_o which_o he_o have_v make_v it_o know_v three_o they_o be_v so_o much_o make_v know_v to_o every_o man_n as_o will_v make_v he_o inexcusable_a 1._o to_o begin_v with_o the_o first_o i_o say_v that_o truth_n or_o that_o law_n himself_o or_o that_o knowledge_n by_o which_o every_o man_n shall_v be_v judge_v at_o the_o last_o day_n be_v make_v evident_a to_o he_o by_o god_n himself_o in_o this_o proportion_n you_o must_v mark_v three_o thing_n first_o what_o it_o be_v that_o be_v make_v know_v it_o be_v that_o law_n or_o truth_n 〈◊〉_d by_o which_o every_o man_n shall_v be_v judge_v the_o word_n in_o the_o originals_n be_v 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d that_o which_o may_v be_v know_v of_o god_n that_o be_v there_o be_v a_o certain_a measure_n and_o portion_n of_o truth_n which_o god_n dispose_v and_o reveal_v to_o man_n to_o some_o one_o measure_n to_o some_o another_o measure_n and_o according_a to_o the_o measure_n of_o truth_n he_o must_v conform_v himself_o and_o for_o break_v that_o rule_n only_o he_o shall_v be_v condemn_v at_o the_o last_o day_n the_o gentile_n have_v one_o measure_n of_o truth_n the_o jew_n have_v a_o great_a measure_n but_o christian_n to_o who_o the_o gospel_n be_v reveal_v have_v the_o great_a measure_n of_o truth_n give_v they_o again_o some_o christian_n that_o live_v under_o better_a ministery_n they_o who_o education_n be_v better_a they_o have_v more_o truth_n than_o other_o now_o see_v he_o say_v it_o be_v make_v manifest_a the_o meaning_n be_v every_o man_n have_v a_o measure_n and_o that_o be_v to_o be_v make_v manifest_a as_o light_v when_o it_o come_v into_o a_o room_n it_o show_v all_o the_o glory_n all_o the_o beauty_n and_o deformity_n round_o about_o it_o show_v the_o right_a way_n and_o the_o wrong_a way_n if_o you_o come_v to_o the_o light_n all_o thing_n be_v make_v manifest_a now_o which_o be_v cover_v when_o you_o be_v in_o darkness_n thus_o god_n enlighten_v man_n he_o kindle_v a_o certain_a light_n in_o their_o mind_n for_o so_o the_o word_n signify_v he_o put_v a_o light_n into_o their_o heart_n by_o which_o they_o be_v able_a to_o judge_v of_o that_o which_o be_v good_a and_o evil_a of_o that_o which_o be_v agreeable_a to_o his_o will_n and_o contrary_a to_o his_o will_n of_o that_o which_o be_v the_o way_n to_o happiness_n and_o that_o which_o be_v not_o and_o this_o be_v make_v know_v the_o second_o thing_n to_o be_v mark_v in_o this_o proposition_n know_v be_v to_o show_v how_o it_o be_v make_v know_v you_o see_v that_o the_o thing_n be_v make_v know_v to_o we_o not_o it_o be_v make_v know_v to_o we_o these_o four_o way_n way_n first_o nature_n it_o be_v make_v know_v to_o we_o by_o the_o light_n of_o nature_n god_n have_v write_v the_o law_n in_o their_o heart_n rom._n 2.15_o they_o show_v the_o effect_n of_o the_o law_n which_o law_n be_v write_v in_o their_o of_o other_o for_o in_o judge_v of_o other_o they_o judge_v themselves_o and_o make_v it_o evident_a that_o they_o do_v know_v though_o they_o do_v not_o practice_n and_o so_o it_o be_v reveal_v by_o the_o law_n of_o nature_n work_n second_o god_n make_v it_o know_v by_o his_o work_n special_o by_o the_o creation_n of_o the_o world_n by_o his_o work_n of_o providence_n which_o be_v ordinary_a and_o extraordinary_a as_o miracle_n that_o be_v when_o a_o man_n look_v on_o the_o great_a volume_n of_o the_o world_n there_o those_o thing_n which_o god_n will_v have_v know_v be_v write_v in_o capital_a letter_n and_o such_o letter_n as_o every_o one_o may_v understand_v and_o read_v so_o as_o that_o which_o the_o papist_n say_v of_o image_n they_o be_v layman_n book_n and_o ignorant_a man_n book_n so_o and_o in_o a_o much_o better_a sense_n this_o book_n of_o the_o world_n be_v the_o heathen_a man_n book_n wherein_o
he_o may_v see_v there_o be_v a_o god_n and_o his_o eternal_a power_n and_o wherein_o all_o man_n may_v see_v what_o they_o ought_v to_o do_v to_o this_o god_n scripture_n three_o it_o be_v manifest_a by_o the_o scripture_n joh._n 5.39_o say_v christ_n search_v the_o scripture_n for_o therein_o you_o think_v to_o have_v eternal_a life_n and_o they_o testify_v of_o i_o this_o be_v out_o of_o that_o it_o be_v god_n that_o make_v this_o truth_n evident_a this_o be_v enough_o to_o prove_v that_o it_o be_v god_n because_o it_o be_v universal_o do_v go_v to_o all_o nation_n to_o savage_a man_n that_o seem_v to_o be_v most_o remote_a from_o the_o light_n that_o come_v not_o near_o any_o mean_n of_o the_o knowledge_n of_o the_o truth_n yet_o these_o man_n believe_v there_o â—s_a a_o god_n every_o man_n without_o exception_n do_v so_o now_o where_o there_o be_v a_o universal_a effect_n it_o must_v needs_o come_v from_o a_o universal_a cause_n therefore_o from_o god_n himself_o now_o this_o be_v not_o add_v in_o vain_a deduce_v but_o this_o you_o may_v observe_v in_o that_o it_o come_v from_o god_n first_o if_o it_o come_v from_o god_n it_o be_v not_o a_o deceivable_a rule_n it_o be_v not_o a_o fancy_n but_o a_o firm_a truth_n which_o you_o may_v build_v on_o again_o if_o god_n make_v it_o know_v it_o be_v not_o do_v slight_o whatsoever_o god_n do_v if_o he_o make_v it_o know_v it_o be_v do_v to_o purpose_n and_o effectual_o if_o he_o have_v bless_v any_o he_o shall_v be_v blessed_v so_o far_o as_o it_o be_v his_o will_n to_o reveal_v so_o far_o it_o be_v to_o purpose_n and_o this_o make_v man_n more_o without_o excuse_n again_o if_o god_n have_v make_v it_o know_v than_o it_o be_v a_o thing_n you_o must_v take_v heed_n to_o you_o must_v not_o neglect_v it_o because_o it_o be_v god_n that_o be_v the_o author_n of_o it_o if_o it_o have_v be_v make_v know_v to_o we_o by_o accident_n or_o any_o creature_n you_o may_v have_v give_v the_o less_o heed_n to_o it_o buâ—_n god_n have_v make_v it_o know_v it_o be_v of_o special_a moment_n you_o must_v in_o a_o special_a manner_n attend_v to_o it_o last_o in_o that_o god_n have_v make_v it_o know_v than_o you_o may_v know_v it_o be_v the_o rule_n of_o perfection_n that_o be_v give_v to_o every_o man_n in_o observe_v of_o which_o he_o shall_v find_v happiness_n in_o break_v of_o which_o consist_v his_o destruction_n and_o ruin_n when_o god_n give_v a_o rule_n in_o the_o keep_n of_o it_o man_n shall_v be_v make_v happy_a as_o in_o the_o break_n of_o it_o he_o shall_v be_v make_v miserable_a so_o you_o see_v these_o three_o thing_n first_o what_o be_v make_v know_v a_o certain_a measure_n of_o truth_n divide_v according_a to_o god_n will_n second_o how_o it_o be_v make_v know_v by_o nature_n by_o his_o work_n by_o scripture_n by_o the_o faithful_a three_o it_o be_v god_n that_o make_v it_o know_v therefore_o not_o a_o deceivable_a truth_n not_o a_o fancy_n or_o dream_n but_o to_o purpose_n therefore_o you_o must_v not_o neglect_v it_o in_o observe_v of_o it_o be_v happiness_n and_o in_o break_v of_o it_o you_o shall_v find_v there_o will_v come_v ruin_n and_o destruction_n and_o misery_n upon_o you_o 1_o now_o we_o will_v come_v to_o make_v use_n of_o it_o first_o if_o there_o be_v such_o a_o truth_n make_v know_v to_o man_n by_o god_n himself_o truth_n then_o learn_v take_v to_o themselves_o against_o this_o truth_n be_v more_o desperate_a and_o heinous_a and_o inexcusable_a for_o god_n himself_o have_v make_v it_o know_v to_o they_o for_o every_o precept_n of_o man_n be_v of_o more_o or_o less_o moment_n according_a to_o the_o quality_n of_o the_o author_n the_o law_n be_v to_o be_v value_v according_a to_o the_o person_n that_o give_v the_o law_n therefore_o man_n law_n be_v of_o some_o moment_n but_o god_n law_n be_v of_o more_o moment_n this_o truth_n be_v most_o press_v in_o scripture_n when_o christ_n preach_v the_o word_n he_o say_v every_o sin_n be_v increase_v that_o be_v commit_v against_o this_o word_n when_o jonas_n come_v to_o niniveh_n it_o have_v be_v a_o great_a sin_n if_o they_o have_v not_o repent_v god_n will_v have_v
