high_a in_o their_o expression_n as_o to_o make_v they_o the_o only_a way_n to_o heaven_n and_o that_o whosoever_o be_v not_o in_o that_o their_o way_n they_o be_v in_o the_o broad_a street_n to_o perdition_n and_o exclaim_v against_o all_o such_o as_o oppose_v their_o opinion_n as_o persecutor_n of_o the_o way_n of_o god_n for_o this_o be_v their_o usual_a dialect_n yea_o their_o ordinary_a language_n and_o custom_n to_o call_v all_o writing_n and_o preach_v against_o the_o error_n and_o heresy_n of_o the_o time_n persecution_n in_o all_o the_o faithful_a minister_n and_o people_n which_o duty_n notwithstanding_o they_o be_v bind_v unto_o by_o christ_n and_o all_o the_o holy_a prophet_n and_o apostle_n who_o be_v by_o they_o command_v to_o lift_v up_o their_o voice_n like_o a_o trumpet_n to_o oppose_v and_o rebuke_v all_o gainsayer_n and_o to_o contend_v for_o the_o faith_n once_o deliver_v to_o the_o saint_n and_o this_o be_v the_o language_n of_o that_o author_n that_o write_v the_o arainment_n of_o persecution_n and_o he_o that_o write_v that_o malicious_a pamphlet_n against_o m._n prynne_n who_o call_v he_o and_o all_o the_o presbyterian_o persecutor_n who_o wicked_a and_o vain_a cavil_n by_o which_o he_o labour_v to_o prove_v the_o necessity_n of_o a_o toleration_n of_o all_o religion_n be_v these_o follow_v his_o word_n be_v these_o six_o impossibility_n which_o do_v necessary_o accompany_v persecution_n for_o cause_n of_o conscience_n 1._o it_o be_v impossible_a that_o the_o gospel_n shall_v come_v to_o be_v preach_v unto_o all_o nation_n if_o man_n may_v be_v question_v for_o matter_n of_o conscience_n 2._o it_o be_v impossible_a that_o such_o as_o know_v but_o in_o part_n shall_v grow_v in_o knowledge_n or_o from_o one_o measure_n and_o degree_n of_o faith_n unto_o another_o 3._o it_o be_v impossible_a that_o in_o a_o rational_a way_n there_o shall_v be_v a_o firm_a secure_a peace_n throughout_o the_o world_n nay_o not_o in_o a_o province_n city_n or_o town_n so_o long_o as_o man_n may_v make_v a_o point_n of_o conscience_n to_o compel_v one_o another_o to_o their_o opinion_n 4._o it_o be_v impossible_a to_o be_v the_o formal_a word_n of_o the_o author_n that_o write_v that_o pamphlet_n by_o which_o he_o endeavour_v to_o maintain_v that_o hellish_a opinion_n the_o toleration_n of_o all_o religion_n to_o the_o which_o i_o shall_v brief_o answer_v after_o i_o have_v set_v down_o some_o testimony_n out_o of_o holy_a scripture_n concern_v persecution_n yet_o before_o i_o go_v any_o further_a i_o desire_v all_o man_n by_o the_o way_n to_o take_v notice_n that_o while_o i_o labour_v to_o show_v the_o vanity_n and_o invalidity_n of_o this_o caviller_n assertion_n i_o animate_v no_o man_n to_o persecute_v the_o truth_n for_o i_o know_v that_o persecution_n of_o the_o true_a religion_n be_v the_o great_a sin_n in_o the_o world_n one_o only_o except_v and_o therefore_o that_o all_o man_n shall_v ever_o be_v careful_a to_o offend_v in_o this_o kind_n lest_o they_o bring_v speedy_a destruction_n upon_o themselves_o by_o it_o but_o they_o must_v also_o be_v as_o diligent_a to_o take_v heed_n lest_o
