be_v abominable_a what_o be_v all_o those_o flourish_n and_o noise_n of_o vow_n and_o purpose_n and_o contrition_n and_o meditation_n of_o a_o unregenerate_a man_n when_o they_o all_o be_v but_o glorious_a sin_n do_v man_n gather_v grape_n of_o thorn_n or_o fig_n of_o thistle_n why_o shall_v nature_n be_v make_v proud_a with_o these_o expression_n and_o any_o ground_n lay_v for_o boast_v and_o whereas_o it_o be_v say_v that_o the_o sacrament_n be_v a_o more_o apt_a mean_n to_o convert_v than_o the_o bare_a word_n preach_v we_o may_v infer_v some_o derogate_a and_o diminution_n or_o bread_n and_o wine_n in_o the_o supper_n to_o his_o own_o end_n therefore_o it_o will_v serve_v to_o any_o end_n that_o we_o can_v prove_v of_o our_o own_o imagine_v upon_o certain_a rational_a conclusion_n from_o scripture_n or_o reason_n without_o particular_a scripture_n authorise_v or_o appoint_v it_o to_o such_o a_o end_n and_o therefore_o all_o these_o ground_n consequence_n and_o notion_n which_o be_v form_v upon_o a_o likelihood_n and_o probability_n be_v nothing_o to_o prove_v any_o direct_a use_n of_o the_o sacrament_n to_o such_o a_o end_n without_z as_o i_o have_v say_v a_o special_a word_n precept_n or_o practise_v or_o just_a consequence_n from_o scripture_n direct_v to_o such_o a_o proof_n for_o else_o there_o be_v scarce_o any_o thing_n but_o we_o may_v reason_v spirit_n of_o god_n to_o prove_v the_o very_a institution_n of_o the_o supper_n to_o that_o end_n which_o none_o of_o those_o scripture_n prove_v that_o be_v allege_v in_o fol._n 42._o vindication_n fol._n 43._o that_o god_n do_v as_o effectual_o teach_v convert_v and_o work_v grace_n by_o the_o eye_n as_o ear_n and_o therefore_o be_v the_o sacrament_n sacrifice_n type_n miracle_n etc._n etc._n why_o shall_v not_o then_o the_o visible_a expression_n of_o christ_n in_o the_o sacrament_n now_o have_v the_o like_a effectual_a convert_v power_n inference_n we_o may_v infer_v as_o we_o have_v
