profession_n and_o cause_v they_o to_o fall_v from_o it_o thus_o it_o be_v likely_a that_o demas_n stumble_v at_o the_o bond_n and_o imprisonment_n of_o paul_n and_o thereupon_o revolt_v from_o his_o former_a good_a profession_n rather_o than_o he_o will_v take_v part_n in_o paul_n trouble_n 2_o tim._n 4._o 10._o demas_n have_v forsake_v i_o have_v love_v etc._n etc._n so_o here_o in_o england_n in_o queen_n mary_n reign_n many_o stumble_v at_o the_o persecution_n etc._n etc._n as_o the_o israelite_n meet_v with_o great_a trouble_n and_o difficulty_n in_o the_o wilderness_n take_v such_o offence_n at_o they_o that_o they_o be_v discourage_v in_o their_o journey_n to_o canaan_n and_o will_v have_v go_v back_o again_o so_o it_o be_v with_o many_o hypocritical_a professor_n of_o religion_n they_o profess_v christ_n and_o the_o gospel_n so_o long_o as_o they_o may_v do_v it_o with_o outward_a peace_n and_o prosperity_n but_o if_o they_o meet_v with_o trouble_n for_o their_o profession_n sake_n they_o stumble_v at_o they_o as_o at_o a_o great_a block_n in_o their_o way_n which_o they_o know_v not_o how_o to_o leap_v over_o but_o be_v thereby_o stop_v and_o hinder_v in_o their_o christian_a course_n and_o this_o be_v true_a not_o only_o of_o hypocrite_n but_o even_o of_o some_o good_a christian_n for_o a_o time_n that_o the_o trouble_n which_o be_v stir_v up_o against_o they_o for_o their_o profession_n be_v a_o stumbling-block_n to_o they_o at_o which_o they_o take_v offence_n and_o be_v sometime_o so_o discourage_v that_o for_o a_o time_n they_o fall_v from_o their_o profession_n the_o disciple_n themselves_o when_o they_o see_v christ_n take_v by_o judas_n and_o his_o company_n fear_v leave_a themselves_o shall_v also_o come_v in_o trouble_n and_o danger_n do_v take_v such_o offence_n hereat_o that_o they_o forsake_v christ_n for_o a_o time_n and_o flee_v away_o matth._n 26._o 56._o so_o peter_n afterward_o perceive_v trouble_n and_o danger_n 1_o cor._n 3._o 1._o and_o some_o be_v well_o grow_v christian_n some_o be_v weak_a and_o some_o be_v strong_a rom._n 15._o 1._o use_v 1_o use_v 1._o this_o be_v matter_n of_o comfort_n to_o such_o weak_a christian_n who_o be_v trouble_v and_o discourage_v because_o of_o the_o small_a measure_n of_o grace_n which_o they_o feel_v in_o themselves_o and_o because_o they_o come_v so_o far_o short_a of_o the_o grace_n that_o be_v in_o some_o other_o christian_n such_o must_v remember_v this_o that_o there_o be_v different_a degree_n of_o grace_n and_o that_o god_n do_v not_o give_v his_o spirit_n in_o like_a measure_n unto_o all_o that_o be_v partaker_n of_o it_o but_o in_o such_o measure_n as_o he_o in_o his_o wisdom_n see_v fit_a for_o every_o one_o consider_v also_o this_o that_o god_n do_v such_o not_o to_o have_v any_o truth_n or_o soundness_n of_o grace_n in_o they_o who_o do_v not_o grow_v in_o it_o some_o think_v they_o have_v enough_o knowledge_n faith_n and_o other_o grace_n already_o and_o therefore_o rest_v as_o they_o be_v never_o care_v or_o endeavour_v to_o go_v forward_o in_o grace_n such_o have_v no_o soundness_n of_o grace_n at_o all_o in_o they_o for_o if_o they_o have_v they_o can_v not_o posible_o rest_v in_o that_o measure_n which_o they_o have_v but_o must_v needs_o strive_v to_o a_o further_a growth_n other_o be_v so_o far_o from_o increase_v that_o a_o time_n quench_v or_o decay_v in_o they_o therefore_o our_o saviour_n bid_v the_o church_n of_o ephesus_n to_o remember_v whence_o they_o be_v fall_v and_o to_o repent_v and_o do_v their_o first_o therefore_o and_o remember_v this_o for_o our_o comfort_n to_o stay_v our_o mind_n and_o sustain_v our_o heart_n from_o faint_v and_o despair_v in_o the_o great_a distress_n that_o though_o the_o lord_n seem_v in_o such_o case_n to_o forget_v and_o not_o to_o regard_v we_o in_o the_o midst_n of_o our_o great_a storm_n of_o trouble_n which_o we_o be_v in_o yet_o the_o truth_n be_v he_o do_v
