life_n if_o there_o be_v any_o hope_n i_o can_v say_v this_o to_o thou_o that_o if_o thou_o do_v pray_v thou_o shall_v be_v accept_v for_o god_n have_v style_v himself_o that_o he_o be_v a_o god_n hear_v prayer_n and_o except_o he_o be_v changeable_a he_o must_v needs_o be_v ready_a to_o hear_v thou_o if_o thou_o seek_v to_o he_o for_o the_o lord_n be_v unchangeable_a in_o his_o promise_n &_o thou_o shall_v find_v he_o unchangeable_a towards_o thou_o but_o to_o a_o man_n that_o will_v not_o pray_v that_o be_v set_v upon_o evil_a and_o will_v not_o be_v wrought_v upon_o to_o such_o a_o man_n this_o be_v a_o fearful_a and_o a_o terrible_a doctrine_n second_o though_o god_n decree_n be_v unchangeable_a yet_o if_o thou_o can_v find_v a_o change_n in_o thyself_o it_o shall_v go_v well_o with_o thou_o as_o if_o a_o father_n shall_v take_v up_o a_o unchangeable_a resolution_n to_o disinherit_v a_o stubborn_a and_o ungracious_a child_n because_o he_o be_v so_o if_o the_o child_n shall_v change_v now_o and_o alter_v his_o course_n and_o grow_v sober_a the_o father_n may_v now_o receive_v he_o to_o mercy_n and_o yet_o no_o change_n in_o his_o resolution_n but_o the_o change_n be_v in_o rebellious_a subject_n because_o he_o be_v so_o yet_o if_o his_o subject_n be_v change_v he_o may_v receive_v he_o and_o yet_o his_o decree_n may_v be_v unchangeable_a because_o the_o change_n be_v in_o the_o subject_n and_o the_o decree_n be_v ground_v upon_o this_o if_o he_o do_v remain_v so_o rebellious_a and_o stubborn_a so_o i_o say_v to_o thou_o if_o god_n have_v therefore_o threaten_v to_o reject_v thou_o because_o thou_o be_v a_o stubborn_a and_o rebellious_a wretch_n if_o now_o thou_o shall_v find_v a_o change_n in_o thyself_o that_o thy_o stubborn_a heart_n be_v break_v stand_v in_o awe_n of_o he_o fear_v to_o offend_v he_o or_o to_o commit_v any_o sin_n that_o thou_o know_v to_o be_v a_o sin_n i_o say_v notwithstanding_o that_o unchangeableness_n of_o he_o he_o can_v but_o receive_v thou_o to_o mercy_n as_o if_o a_o physician_n shall_v take_v up_o a_o unchangeable_a resolution_n not_o to_o give_v his_o patient_a such_o restorative_n physic_n because_o his_o stomach_n be_v foul_a so_o that_o it_o will_v not_o work_v and_o because_o he_o will_v not_o receive_v such_o purgation_n whereby_o he_o shall_v be_v prepare_v for_o it_o but_o if_o there_o be_v a_o change_n in_o he_o if_o his_o stomach_n be_v clean_o &_o fit_a for_o it_o so_o that_o it_o will_v work_v and_o he_o become_v willing_a to_o receive_v it_o if_o he_o give_v it_o he_o the_o change_n be_v not_o in_o the_o physician_n but_o in_o the_o patient_a therefore_o when_o you_o hear_v this_o sit_v not_o down_o discourage_v but_o rather_o go_v and_o sit_v alone_o and_o consider_v of_o thy_o sin_n and_o give_v not_o over_o till_o thy_o heart_n be_v break_v for_o they_o and_o when_o this_o be_v do_v be_v sure_a that_o he_o will_v receive_v thou_o to_o mercy_n for_o he_o may_v be_v unchangeable_a in_o his_o decree_n if_o the_o change_n be_v in_o thou_o and_o therefore_o this_o doctrine_n do_v not_o discourage_v but_o rather_o stir_v up_o and_o incite_v man_n to_o change_v their_o course_n yea_o it_o be_v the_o very_a scope_n of_o it_o again_o i_o add_v this_o further_o he_o that_o say_v to_o what_o purpose_n be_v it_o to_o endeavour_v whosoever_o it_o be_v that_o say_v so_o i_o will_v ask_v that_o man_n this_o question_n do_v thou_o ever_o go_v about_o any_o holy_a duty_n and_o yet_o do_v find_v this_o stop_n in_o it_o that_o though_o thou_o will_v do_v they_o thou_o can_v not_o be_v accept_v have_v thou_o ever_o a_o serious_a resolution_n to_o forsake_v such_o and_o such_o a_o sin_n and_o the_o occasion_n of_o it_o and_o yet_o thou_o do_v find_v such_o a_o bar_n as_o this_o that_o thou_o can_v not_o alter_v god_n decree_n thereby_o and_o for_o that_o only_a reason_n have_v go_v on_o in_o it_o do_v ever_o any_o man_n upon_o his_o deathbed_n say_v so_o no_o man_n will_v say_v so_o but_o it_o be_v because_o he_o will_v not_o therefore_o complain_v not_o of_o the_o unchangeable_a decree_n of_o god_n but_o of_o the_o stubborness_n of_o thy_o heart_n that_o thou_o will_v not_o buckle_v and_o come_v in_o unto_o he_o the_o best_a way_n in_o this_o doctrine_n of_o the_o unchangeableness_n of_o god_n decree_n of_o election_n be_v this_o it_o be_v good_a to_o consider_v in_o what_o manner_n it_o be_v deliver_v in_o the_o scripture_n and_o to_o what_o purpose_n and_o to_o make_v that_o use_n of_o it_o and_o then_o thou_o shall_v be_v sure_a not_o to_o abuse_v it_o as_o for_o example_n to_o what_o end_n and_o for_o what_o occasion_n be_v this_o doctrine_n of_o election_n deliver_v you_o shall_v find_v that_o it_o be_v on_o this_o occasion_n rom._n 9.18_o 19_o when_o many_o of_o the_o jew_n do_v not_o come_v in_o to_o who_o do_v belong_v the_o covenant_n and_o the_o law_n and_o the_o testimony_n this_o be_v a_o objection_n that_o be_v make_v against_o the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o gospel_n what_o be_v the_o reason_n that_o the_o jew_n do_v not_o come_v in_o and_o that_o his_o own_o people_n be_v not_o wrought_v upon_o to_o answer_v this_o objection_n the_o not_o some_o he_o love_v and_o some_o he_o hate_v some_o he_o have_v mercy_n upon_o and_o some_o he_o harden_v so_o that_o the_o scope_n of_o the_o doctrine_n be_v that_o god_n may_v be_v magnify_v that_o no_o objection_n may_v be_v make_v against_o the_o almighty_a power_n of_o god_n that_o he_o be_v not_o able_a to_o bring_v they_o in_o that_o man_n may_v not_o say_v that_o they_o have_v
