can_v free_o venture_v the_o reputation_n of_o his_o prudencie_n upon_o the_o ground_n of_o a_o duty_n without_o consult_v the_o appearance_n of_o flesh_n and_o blood_n be_v not_o yet_o instruct_v to_o walk_v by_o faith_n and_o above_o sense_n and_o he_o that_o be_v not_o willing_a to_o serve_v christ_n without_o success_n be_v not_o worthy_a to_o be_v employ_v by_o he_o therefore_o i_o benefit_n by_o it_o or_o because_o i_o think_v it_o not_o seasonable_a to_o appear_v till_o matter_n of_o state_n be_v so_o and_o so_o contrive_v that_o such_o and_o such_o a_o business_n may_v come_v in_o at_o such_o a_o time_n for_o such_o a_o design_n etc._n etc._n although_o in_o matter_n mere_o humane_a arbitrary_a and_o external_a i_o do_v not_o blame_v this_o prudentiall_a contrivance_n yet_o i_o say_v if_o any_o such_o consideration_n shall_v bias_n my_o resolution_n towards_o the_o performance_n of_o that_o which_o in_o itself_o be_v a_o duty_n and_o of_o a_o spiritual_a nature_n will_v hearty_o join_v and_o help_v to_o advance_v either_o these_o or_o other_o impartial_a way_n of_o peace_n i_o say_v although_o this_o may_v be_v confess_v thereunto_o motive_n induce_v thereunto_o yet_o i_o can_v forbear_v to_o offer_v these_o thought_n unto_o you_o both_o that_o i_o may_v discharge_v my_o conscience_n towards_o god_n in_o the_o vow_n which_o i_o have_v make_v to_o prosecute_v peace_n and_o truth_n by_o walk_v in_o the_o light_n whatsoever_o some_o may_v or_o do_v think_v of_o i_o and_o also_o that_o they_o may_v stand_v not_o only_o for_o i_o as_o a_o witness_n that_o i_o have_v seek_v without_o partiality_n the_o way_n as_o well_o of_o truth_n as_o of_o peace_n among_o brethren_n but_o also_o rise_v up_o in_o judgement_n if_o you_o think_v good_a to_o publish_v they_o against_o those_o who_o for_o worldly_a end_n and_o self_n will_v lest_o they_o shall_v seem_v to_o lose_v ground_n keep_v we_o at_o a_o distance_n and_o make_v our_o division_n peace_n and_o unity_n with_o god_n and_o that_o among_o man_n the_o true_a direction_n to_o live_v in_o love_n and_o peace_n one_o with_o another_o be_v not_o where_o to_o be_v find_v but_o in_o his_o kingdom_n which_o be_v so_o it_o will_v follow_v notwithstanding_o all_o these_o division_n that_o none_o shall_v more_o willing_o undertake_v nor_o can_v more_o profitable_o entertain_v the_o thought_n of_o peace_n and_o unity_n for_o the_o composure_n of_o difference_n and_o end_n of_o strife_n among_o man_n than_o they_o who_o god_n have_v call_v to_o be_v preacher_n of_o his_o gospel_n and_o observation_n of_o christ_n ordinance_n in_o that_o whereunto_o they_o have_v attain_v and_o to_o bear_v with_o one_o another_o in_o that_o whereunto_o they_o have_v not_o yet_o attain_v now_o so_o it_o be_v that_o such_o as_o be_v acknowledge_v to_o be_v orthodox_n and_o godly_a minister_n in_o this_o kingdom_n of_o england_n be_v beget_v of_o the_o same_o heavenly_a father_n by_o the_o same_o word_n of_o truth_n which_o be_v the_o doctrine_n of_o faith_n reveal_v in_o the_o scripture_n in_o the_o same_o womb_n of_o the_o true_a church_n and_o have_v the_o same_o sense_n of_o their_o together_o in_o holy_a communion_n for_o the_o administration_n and_o observation_n of_o christ_n ordinance_n in_o that_o whereunto_o they_o have_v attain_v and_o to_o bear_v with_o one_o another_o their_o vocation_n what_o the_o cause_n of_o this_o neglect_n may_v be_v we_o shall_v not_o now_o particular_o search_v into_o only_o in_o general_a we_o may_v take_v notice_n that_o all_o such_o fail_n in_o duty_n may_v proceed_v from_o two_o main_a cause_n either_o that_o man_n otherwise_o know_v and_o godly_a yet_o consider_v not_o the_o necessity_n of_o this_o duty_n in_o respect_n of_o profaneness_n and_o licentiousness_n whereby_o the_o kingdom_n of_o satan_n be_v erect_v and_o settle_v upon_o the_o ruin_n of_o christ_n kingdom_n among_o we_o and_o if_o there_o be_v any_o faithfulness_n and_o constancy_n to_o be_v expect_v from_o those_o that_o profess_v christianity_n have_v enter_v into_o solemn_a protestation_n vow_n and_o covenant_n to_o stand_v unite_v according_a no_o truth_n but_o as_o it_o relate_v unto_o he_o nor_o can_v it_o relate_v otherwise_o unto_o he_o then_o by_o fulfil_v his_o will_n in_o do_v the_o work_n of_o his_o service_n and_o if_o this_o in_o the_o ministry_n yet_o it_o be_v far_o from_o i_o to_o think_v ministry_n a_o doubt_n answer_v concern_v the_o office_n of_o the_o ministry_n as_o some_o do_v that_o the_o promise_n of_o god_n be_v fail_v in_o this_o our_o age_n at_o if_o there_o be_v neither_o true_a church_n nor_o ministry_n any_o more_o among_o we_o or_o any_o where_n in_o this_o world_n but_o that_o the_o gate_n of_o hell_n have_v prevail_v against_o the_o church_n which_o christ_n do_v once_o institute_v by_o his_o apostle_n a_o new_a mission_n must_v be_v expect_v and_o a_o new_a foundation_n lay_v for_o the_o of_o their_o ministry_n therefore_o as_o faith_n and_o love_n be_v inseparable_o necessary_a to_o make_v a_o true_a christian_a so_o the_o testimony_n of_o jesus_n and_o the_o spirit_n of_o unity_n be_v inseparable_o requisite_a for_o the_o work_n of_o the_o ministry_n for_o as_o there_o be_v a_o absolute_a necessity_n lie_v upon_o the_o ministry_n to_o bear_v witness_n unto_o the_o truth_n towards_o the_o manifestation_n thereof_o for_o the_o save_n of_o their_o own_o soul_n so_o they_o be_v also_o no_o less_o necessitate_v to_o maintain_v the_o profession_n of_o their_o unitle_n for_o the_o edification_n of_o their_o hearer_n for_o without_o this_o profession_n that_o manifestation_n will_v never_o in_o reason_n be_v find_v a_o truth_n fit_a to_o convict_v the_o world_n which_o otherwise_o it_o may_v be_v because_o as_o it_o be_v just_a that_o when_o witness_n do_v not_o agree_v their_o testimony_n shall_v not_o be_v receive_v so_o it_o be_v equitable_a that_o when_o they_o do_v agree_v their_o testimony_n shall_v not_o be_v reject_v and_o if_o by_o this_o only_a default_n they_o make_v their_o testimony_n without_o effect_n it_o be_v evident_a that_o to_o establish_v the_o truth_n and_o not_o to_o discredit_v it_o to_o uphold_v the_o ministry_n and_o not_o to_o make_v it_o contemptible_a to_o build_v up_o the_o church_n and_o not_o to_o ruin_v they_o and_o to_o confirm_v the_o faith_n of_o the_o professor_n and_o not_o to_o stagger_v they_o the_o profession_n and_o practice_n of_o brotherly_a unity_n among_o the_o minister_n of_o the_o gospel_n be_v absolute_o necessary_a for_o all_o may_v see_v that_o be_v not_o blind_a and_o senseless_a that_o original_o nothing_o but_o the_o neglect_n of_o this_o duty_n have_v deprive_v we_o of_o all_o our_o hope_n and_o blessing_n and_o bring_v we_o under_o the_o yoke_n of_o all_o these_o misery_n upon_o all_o which_o this_o consequence_n do_v manifest_o follow_v that_o the_o only_a way_n to_o preserve_v the_o remnant_n which_o be_v leave_v entire_a to_o restore_v that_o which_o be_v not_o utter_o decay_v in_o the_o church_n and_o to_o help_v this_o distract_a state_n unto_o some_o settlement_n if_o there_o be_v any_o possibility_n of_o attain_v it_o be_v this_o that_o the_o minister_n of_o the_o gospel_n shall_v set_v themselves_o to_o concur_v and_o correspond_v together_o that_o they_o may_v hold_v forth_o unto_o the_o world_n in_o the_o testimony_n of_o jesus_n christ_n the_o loveliness_n the_o peaceablenesse_n the_o meekness_n and_o the_o unity_n of_o his_o spirit_n to_o the_o end_n that_o both_o they_o and_o their_o hearer_n may_v follow_v therein_o his_o footstep_n as_o he_o be_v go_v before_o we_o to_o leave_v we_o a_o example_n for_o this_o be_v a_o path_n of_o the_o new_a and_o the_o live_a way_n which_o he_o have_v consecrate_v for_o we_o and_o out_o of_o this_o way_n no_o man_n can_v come_v unto_o the_o father_n it_o be_v therefore_o absolute_o necessary_a that_o such_o as_o will_v enter_v into_o the_o holy_a become_v follower_n of_o god_n as_o dear_a child_n and_o walk_v in_o love_n as_o christ_n also_o have_v love_v we_o and_o make_v himself_o as_o one_o of_o we_o even_o our_o brother_n to_o gain_v we_o unto_o god_n chap._n fourteen_o concern_v the_o usefulness_n and_o commendablenesse_n of_o brotherly_a unity_n in_o the_o work_n of_o the_o ministry_n sect._n i._n what_o the_o communion_n and_o correspondency_n be_v wherein_o our_o unity_n be_v to_o be_v settle_v hitherto_o we_o have_v reflect_v upon_o that_o which_o do_v make_v the_o study_n of_o brotherly_a love_n and_o unity_n among_o we_o absolute_o necessary_a to_o avoid_v the_o danger_n of_o ruin_n and_o destruction_n and_o the_o guilt_n of_o hinder_v the_o progress_n of_o the_o gospel_n in_o the_o world_n now_o we_o shall_v reflect_v also_o upon_o the_o usefulness_n and_o commendablenesse_n of_o the_o duty_n in_o reference_n unto_o the_o work_n of_o the_o ministry_n it_o be_v no_o generous_a disposition_n to_o be_v draw_v by_o mere_a necessity_n and_o fear_n unto_o a_o duty_n but_o to_o be_v move_v thereunto_o by_o the_o loveliness_n of_o grace_n and_o by_o that_o which_o be_v excellent_a therein_o be_v praiseworthy_a and_o argue_v a_o noble_a and_o virtuous_a inclination_n therefore_o we_o shall_v set_v ourselves_o to_o work_v upon_o this_o inclination_n and_o endeavour_v to_o waken_v it_o in_o every_o one_o that_o have_v ingenuity_n and_o my_o aim_n shall_v be_v rather_o to_o deal_v with_o the_o understanding_n of_o all_o able_a to_o consider_v of_o their_o way_n to_o to_o stand_v and_o walk_v by_o 10_o themselves_z and_o to_o maintain_v the_o principle_n 11_o of_o a_o singular_a distance_n from_o their_o brethren_n in_o the_o minnistery_n will_v not_o be_v able_a in_o the_o end_n to_o approve_v their_o conscience_n unto_o god_n that_o they_o walk_v worthy_a of_o the_o call_n wherewith_o they_o be_v call_v this_o assertion_n be_v somewhat_o large_a therefore_o direction_n what_o to_o do_v and_o be_v not_o under_o the_o command_n of_o any_o particular_a fellow-member_n yet_o in_o the_o use_n of_o this_o faculty_n and_o in_o the_o exercise_n of_o this_o right_n every_o member_n be_v direct_v by_o the_o head_n to_o subordinate_a itself_o to_o the_o service_n of_o the_o whole_a and_o to_o depend_v upon_o the_o unity_n thereof_o and_o not_o to_o stand_v not_o need_v to_o be_v trouble_v with_o the_o nicety_n though_o we_o may_v confer_v about_o they_o of_o the_o proper_a seat_n of_o right_a to_o power_n and_o government_n and_o with_o the_o national_a debate_n of_o the_o priority_n of_o the_o universal_a and_o of_o the_o right_n and_o privilege_n of_o the_o particular_a church_n upon_o which_o rock_n our_o affection_n be_v now_o split_v all_o the_o duty_n of_o necessary_a communion_n correspondency_n and_o concurrence_n be_v neglect_v among_o we_o notwithstanding_o all_o the_o know_a excellency_n commendablenesse_n and_o usefulnes_n thereof_o puff_n we_o up_o to_o appear_v somewhat_o more_o than_o other_o in_o all_o our_o undertake_n sect._n ii_o of_o the_o excellency_n of_o unity_n and_o of_o the_o fountain_n thereof_o charity_n the_o its_o work_n nothing_o can_v be_v further_o desire_v or_o wish_v for_o in_o it_o these_o be_v then_o the_o essential_a and_o proper_a relation_n under_o which_o a_o minister_n as_o a_o officer_n of_o the_o church_n be_v to_o be_v consider_v now_o if_o it_o be_v find_v that_o in_o the_o profession_n of_o truth_n and_o holiness_n nothing_o do_v make_v he_o so_o fit_a for_o his_o office_n in_o all_o these_o relation_n as_o to_o maintain_v the_o duty_n of_o brotherly_a love_n unity_n communion_n and_o correspondency_n and_o that_o without_o the_o study_n of_o these_o he_o can_v stand_v aright_o
