through_o his_o evil_a behaviour_n for_o although_o he_o preach_v never_o so_o good_a doctrine_n yet_o if_o his_o life_n be_v wicked_a and_o contrary_a to_o his_o doctrine_n such_o be_v the_o betroth_v to_o jesus_n christ_n to_o defend_v his_o spouse_n and_o church_n from_o his_o adversary_n and_o to_o bring_v they_o as_o it_o be_v by_o the_o hand_n unto_o the_o bridegoome_n of_o which_o he_o have_v so_o singular_a a_o care_n that_o he_o will_v never_o forsake_v they_o although_o by_o earnest_a study_n he_o shall_v even_o shorten_v his_o life_n and_o all_o his_o physician_n in_o the_o world_n shall_v tell_v he_o plain_o that_o it_o will_v end_v his_o day_n if_o he_o do_v not_o give_v over_o the_o same_o yet_o i_o say_v when_o he_o have_v such_o a_o love_n and_o affection_n to_o it_o follow_v that_o we_o show_v next_o the_o duty_n of_o the_o people_n unto_o their_o minister_n which_o be_v the_o second_o part_n of_o our_o division_n &_o true_o this_o declaration_n of_o the_o minister_n duty_n do_v very_o manifest_o show_v the_o other_o for_o if_o the_o minister_n be_v bind_v to_o apply_v his_o study_n and_o to_o exercise_v himself_o diligent_o in_o read_v and_o when_o can_v never_o obtain_v unless_o they_o become_v obedient_a to_o be_v teach_v and_o instruct_v at_o the_o minister_n hand_n by_o the_o most_o pure_a word_n of_o god_n which_o with_o the_o operation_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n work_v faith_n in_o the_o child_n of_o god_n whereby_o they_o apprehend_v the_o merit_n of_o jesus_n christ_n and_o have_v his_o righteousness_n obedience_n and_o holiness_n impute_v unto_o they_o of_o the_o free_a grace_n and_o mercy_n of_o god_n as_o sure_o as_o if_o in_o their_o own_o person_n they_o have_v wrought_v it_o and_o so_o make_v heir_n of_o the_o kingdom_n which_o christ_n by_o his_o blood_n have_v purschase_v for_o they_o it_o be_v necessary_a that_o so_o many_o as_o desire_v to_o be_v save_v be_v obedient_a unto_o the_o minister_n who_o god_n have_v place_v over_o they_o as_o his_o instrument_n to_o bring_v they_o to_o his_o heavenly_a kingdom_n as_o before_o i_o have_v declare_v unto_o you_o and_o the_o rather_o to_o stir_v they_o up_o unto_o a_o continual_a obedience_n he_o add_v this_o make_v a_o end_n of_o your_o own_o salvation_n with_o fear_n and_o tremble_a as_o if_o he_o shall_v say_v belove_a brethren_n as_o you_o have_v hitherto_o submit_v yourselves_o to_o be_v reform_v by_o the_o most_o glorious_a gospel_n of_o jesus_n christ_n and_o have_v obey_v we_o in_o the_o lord_n to_o the_o increase_n of_o your_o faith_n and_o the_o christ_n give_v we_o a_o notable_a token_n here_o to_o know_v the_o child_n of_o god_n by_o and_o that_o be_v if_o they_o hear_v his_o voice_n and_o follow_v he_o for_o they_o that_o will_v not_o be_v obedient_a unto_o he_o be_v none_o of_o he_o neither_o yet_o partaker_n of_o those_o benefit_n which_o he_o have_v purchase_v for_o he_o but_o peradventure_o some_o will_v say_v it_o be_v true_a confess_v it_o thy_o duty_n to_o be_v obedient_a unto_o jesus_n christ_n i_o tell_v thou_o plain_o thou_o ought_v no_o less_o to_o obey_v the_o minister_n in_o that_o he_o bring_v the_o message_n of_o to_o be_v revenge_v of_o all_o his_o enemy_n but_o they_o that_o be_v of_o the_o sheepfold_a of_o jesus_n christ_n will_v be_v obedient_a to_o their_o shepherd_n even_o as_o willing_o as_o the_o sheep_n be_v the_o reason_n hereof_o be_v draw_v from_o the_o nature_n of_o sheep_n which_o be_v the_o simple_a of_o all_o creature_n to_o shift_v for_o itself_o and_o yet_o more_o profitable_a than_o any_o other_o cattle_n when_o one_o of_o they_o be_v stray_v out_o of_o the_o way_n it_o be_v catch_v in_o the_o bramble_n and_o brier_n ready_a to_o be_v lose_v in_o every_o pit_n or_o hole_n yea_o subject_n to_o a_o thousand_o danger_n and_o can_v help_v itself_o in_o the_o least_o of_o they_o and_o when_o the_o shepherd_n have_v fetch_v she_o home_o how_o obedient_a be_v she_o and_o glad_a to_o be_v guide_v by_o he_o for_o fear_n of_o fall_v into_o the_o like_a danger_n so_o be_v it_o require_v of_o the_o child_n of_o god_n that_o they_o be_v obedient_a as_o sheep_n yea_o sheep_n if_o he_o be_v the_o wise_a or_o mighty_a in_o the_o world_n he_o must_v not_o take_v scorn_n to_o become_v as_o simple_a as_o a_o sheep_n if_o he_o will_v enter_v into_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n for_o before_o such_o time_n as_o the_o lord_n by_o his_o instrument_n the_o minister_n do_v bring_v they_o home_o into_o the_o sheepfolde_a of_o jesus_n christ_n they_o wander_v in_o innumerable_a danger_n &_o be_v no_o more_o able_a to_o deliver_v themselves_o out_o of_o they_o than_o the_o silly_a sheep_n be_v to_o save_v herself_o from_o the_o wolf_n but_o when_o they_o be_v bring_v home_o than_o they_o see_v their_o infirmity_n and_o what_o great_a need_n they_o have_v of_o a_o shepherd_n to_o preserve_v &_o help_v they_o out_o of_o so_o many_o peril_n which_o tend_v to_o the_o destruction_n both_o of_o body_n and_o soul_n than_o they_o glad_o obey_v he_o which_o be_v careful_a to_o guide_v they_o in_o the_o way_n of_o salvation_n with_o the_o most_o holy_a word_n of_o god_n and_o to_o refresh_v their_o hungry_a soul_n with_o that_o heavenly_a food_n and_o milk_n the_o holy_a ghost_n say_v that_o they_o must_v be_v bear_v again_o and_o that_o not_o of_o mortal_a anew_o
those_o elder_n which_o be_v appoint_v to_o watch_v and_o look_v to_o the_o manner_n and_o behaviour_n of_o the_o child_n of_o god_n if_o they_o execute_v this_o charge_n faithful_o be_v have_v in_o double_a honour_n but_o above_o all_o let_v the_o faithful_a minister_n such_o as_o labour_v in_o the_o word_n be_v honour_v for_o why_o the_o other_o be_v overseer_n of_o your_o outward_a behaviour_n but_o these_o have_v a_o other_o manner_n of_o office_n they_o watch_v over_o your_o soul_n which_o tend_v to_o the_o salvation_n both_o of_o body_n and_o soul_n moreover_o it_o be_v requisite_a that_o they_o also_o fear_v the_o minister_n or_o else_o can_v they_o in_o no_o ease_n reverence_n and_o honour_v he_o for_o where_o fear_n be_v not_o all_o honour_n be_v absent_a and_o so_o consequent_o all_o duty_n extinguish_v and_o this_o fear_n must_v not_o be_v a_o feign_a and_o counterfeit_a fear_n but_o when_o he_o shall_v come_v before_o the_o minister_n to_o ask_v he_o any_o question_n he_o must_v consider_v that_o he_o come_v to_o talk_v with_o the_o messenger_n of_o the_o lord_n who_o he_o ought_v to_o hear_v as_o well_o as_o if_o the_o lord_n himself_o be_v present_a for_o this_o be_v most_o certain_a where_o a_o faithful_a minister_n be_v that_o do_v note_n sincere_o and_o pure_o preach_v the_o word_n it_o be_v all_o one_o as_o if_o the_o lord_n himself_o dwell_v personal_o among_o we_o and_o his_o own_o self_n have_v verify_v the_o same_o say_v he_o that_o hear_v you_o hear_v 16._o i_o and_o therefore_o it_o behoove_v we_o to_o give_v a_o proof_n of_o our_o fear_n love_n and_o obedience_n towards_o the_o lord_n by_o receive_v his_o word_n with_o such_o fear_n and_o reverence_n as_o beseem_v his_o subject_n although_o the_o same_o proceed_v out_o of_o a_o receive_v as_o undoubted_o as_o if_o the_o king_n be_v present_v himself_o yea_o they_o that_o shall_v despise_v his_o authority_n shall_v be_v as_o heinous_o account_v of_o as_o if_o they_o resist_v and_o rebel_v ambassador_n against_o the_o king_n own_o person_n and_o shall_v the_o ambassador_n of_o the_o live_a god_n who_o be_v king_n of_o all_o king_n be_v receive_v less_o worthy_o than_o the_o other_o who_o authority_n be_v both_o great_a and_o the_o message_n weighty_a true_o whosoever_o shall_v take_v scorn_n to_o yield_v this_o duty_n of_o fear_n and_o reverence_n unto_o the_o minister_n let_v he_o be_v assure_v that_o he_o scorn_v not_o he_o but_o the_o lord_n that_o send_v he_o but_o some_o will_v object_v what_o shall_v we_o make_v a_o god_n of_o our_o minister_n and_o be_v he_o so_o to_o be_v fear_v as_o you_o say_v i_o answer_v thou_o that_o i_o mean_v nothing_o less_o nay_o i_o hold_v he_o accurse_v that_o shall_v challenge_v such_o dignity_n unto_o himself_o ministry_n for_o if_o they_o shall_v not_o fear_v he_o they_o can_v not_o in_o any_o case_n obey_v the_o word_n when_o he_o do_v sharp_o reprove_v they_o for_o their_o sin_n but_o even_o as_o a_o light_a wife_n so_o long_o as_o her_o husband_n please_v she_o so_o long_o and_o no_o long_o will_v she_o be_v obedient_a unto_o he_o for_o if_o he_o show_v a_o sharp_a countenance_n of_o very_a reverence_n must_v needs_o be_v absent_a and_o thus_o have_v we_o hear_v that_o they_o ought_v to_o fear_v he_o not_o in_o respect_n of_o his_o person_n but_o for_o his_o office_n sake_n not_o as_o he_o be_v a_o man_n but_o in_o that_o he_o be_v the_o messenger_n and_o minister_n of_o god_n four_o they_o must_v love_v he_o and_o that_o unfeigned_o with_o all_o their_o heart_n be_v ready_a to_o help_v he_o in_o all_o distress_n five_o they_o must_v provide_v for_o he_o that_o he_o may_v have_v to_o maintain_v himself_o and_o his_o family_n to_o entertain_v stranger_n and_o buy_v he_o book_n that_o he_o may_v not_o with_o any_o worldly_a care_n be_v draw_v from_o do_v of_o his_o duty_n six_o they_o must_v pray_v for_o he_o continual_o and_o for_o themselves_o also_o that_o he_o may_v be_v able_a to_o teach_v and_o they_o to_o receive_v the_o word_n profitable_o 3_o these_o duty_n be_v well_o perform_v bring_v this_o commodity_n the_o minister_n labour_n 3_o shall_v be_v profitable_a his_o account_n acceptable_a and_o his_o soul_n save_v the_o people_n shall_v make_v their_o minister_n joyful_a and_o love_a unto_o they_o willing_a to_o labour_v for_o their_o profit_n and_o in_o the_o end_n they_o shall_v reign_v together_o in_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n also_o if_o the_o minister_n do_v his_o duty_n faithful_o though_o the_o people_n do_v not_o their_o yet_o he_o shall_v save_v his_o soul_n likewise_o if_o the_o people_n do_v their_o duty_n and_o not_o the_o minister_n the_o lord_n will_v so_o provide_v that_o they_o shall_v enjoy_v eternal_a felicity_n 4_o last_o of_o all_o if_o these_o duty_n be_v not_o perform_v we_o have_v learn_v how_o great_a danger_n they_o 4_o be_v in_o that_o neglect_n the_o same_o if_o the_o minister_n his_o labour_n shall_v be_v curse_v he_o shall_v be_v call_v to_o a_o straight_a account_n and_o shall_v answer_v for_o every_o soul_n that_o have_v perish_v and_o so_o become_v a_o devil_n in_o hell_n for_o ever_o if_o the_o people_n do_v not_o their_o duty_n they_o shall_v grieve_v their_o pastor_n make_v he_o unprofitable_a and_o in_o the_o end_n be_v torment_v in_o utter_a darkness_n for_o ever_o the_o lord_n of_o all_o power_n deal_v merciful_o with_o we_o for_o his_o dear_a son_n jesus_n christ_n sake_n and_o grant_v such_o grace_n both_o unto_o the_o minister_n of_o his_o word_n that_o they_o may_v careful_o
