truth_n and_o not_o in_o word_n and_o in_o tongue_n only_o vers._n 19_o and_o hereby_o we_o know_v that_o we_o be_v of_o the_o truth_n and_o shall_v assure_v our_o heart_n before_o he_o argum._n 11._o by_o love_n of_o the_o brethren_n as_o by_o the_o fruit_n of_o sincere_a faith_n we_o know_v that_o we_o be_v sincere_a or_o true_o faithful_a and_o bear_v of_o god_n therefore_o we_o ought_v to_o conflict_n of_o faith_n to_o the_o give_v of_o we_o a_o testimony_n of_o our_o absolution_n and_o justification_n by_o faith_n therefore_o etc._n etc._n vers._n 20._o for_o if_o our_o heart_n condemn_v we_o god_n be_v great_a than_o our_o heart_n and_o know_v all_o thing_n 21._o belove_a if_o our_o heart_n condemn_v we_o not_o then_o have_v we_o confidence_n towards_o god_n he_o confirm_v this_o argument_n by_o compare_v of_o a_o watchful_a and_o a_o evil_a conscience_n in_o this_o verse_n in_o the_o effect_n of_o condemnation_n with_o a_o good_a conscience_n in_o the_o follow_a verse_n in_o the_o effect_n of_o absolution_n as_o when_o a_o evil_a conscience_n condemn_v he_o that_o be_v altogether_o void_a of_o brotherly_a love_n the_o sentence_n of_o condemnation_n be_v ratify_v by_o god_n the_o supreme_a and_o omniscient_a judge_n until_o they_o fly_v unto_o christ_n so_o on_o the_o other_o side_n when_o a_o good_a conscience_n which_o howsoever_o it_o accuse_v we_o of_o imperfection_n do_v not_o condemn_v we_o as_o if_o we_o be_v altogether_o destitute_a of_o this_o fruit_n of_o persevere_v in_o brotherly_a love_n we_o retain_v a_o confidence_n of_o go_v to_o god_n as_o our_o father_n in_o christ_n therefore_o by_o follow_v after_o brotherly_a love_n we_o shall_v assure_v our_o heart_n before_o he_o as_o it_o be_v vers_n 19_o vers._n 22._o and_o whatsoever_o we_o ask_v we_o receive_v of_o he_o because_o we_o keep_v his_o commandment_n and_o do_v those_o thing_n that_o be_v please_v in_o his_o sight_n argum._n 13._o conscience_n of_o brotherly_a love_n give_v confidence_n of_o obtain_v those_o good_a thing_n which_o we_o ask_v of_o god_n according_a to_o his_o will_n because_o we_o can_v reason_v from_o our_o endeavour_n of_o keep_v and_o do_v god_n commandment_n which_o be_v please_v to_o he_o that_o we_o be_v of_o the_o number_n of_o those_o that_o be_v true_a believer_n who_o through_o faith_n in_o christ_n be_v in_o favour_n with_o god_n and_o who_o prayer_n god_n do_v not_o reject_v as_o he_o do_v the_o prayer_n of_o hypocrite_n and_o wicked_a man_n therefore_o you_o ought_v to_o follow_v after_o brotherly_a love_n vers._n 23._o and_o this_o be_v his_o commandment_n that_o we_o shall_v believe_v on_o the_o name_n of_o his_o son_n jesus_n christ_n and_o love_v one_o another_o as_o he_o give_v we_o commandment_n argum._n 14._o confirm_v the_o former_a and_o answer_v a_o objection_n lest_o any_o man_n shall_v abuse_v the_o thing_n speak_v before_o to_o defend_v the_o merit_n of_o work_n or_o justification_n by_o work_n the_o commandment_n concern_v brotherly_a love_n be_v consequent_o include_v in_o the_o precept_n of_o save_a faith_n which_o be_v to_o be_v place_v upon_o christ._n for_o when_o god_n command_v faith_n in_o christ_n which_o work_v by_o love_n he_o also_o command_v that_o we_o shall_v love_v one_o another_o therefore_o if_o any_o man_n have_v respect_n to_o the_o precept_n concern_v faith_n in_o the_o son_n of_o god_n it_o be_v necessary_a also_o that_o he_o have_v respect_n to_o the_o command_n touch_v mutual_a love_n and_o that_o he_o obey_v it_o therefore_o you_o ought_v to_o follow_v after_o brotherly_a love_n vers._n 24._o and_o he_o that_o keep_v his_o commandment_n dwell_v in_o he_o and_o be_v in_o he_o and_o hereby_o we_o know_v that_o he_o abide_v in_o we_o by_o the_o spirit_n which_o he_o have_v give_v we_o argum._n 15._o in_o who_o there_o be_v a_o endeavour_n to_o obey_v the_o command_n of_o god_n and_o namely_o the_o precept_n touch_v faith_n in_o christ_n which_o work_v efficacious_o by_o brotherly_a love_n he_o have_v communion_n with_o god_n and_o know_v that_o he_o have_v
