reconciliation_n he_o come_v to_o find_v out_o a_o remedy_n for_o all_o our_o evil_n and_o to_o prescribe_v we_o a_o way_n of_o recover_v ourselves_o when_o we_o have_v fall_v by_o any_o sin_n so_o that_o although_o none_o of_o we_o all_o have_v live_v free_a from_o it_o yet_o in_o the_o event_n sin_n shall_v not_o be_v our_o ruin_n and_o that_o remedy_n which_o god_n have_v provide_v we_o for_o this_o purpose_n be_v repentance_n he_o do_v not_o abandon_v we_o upon_o the_o commission_n of_o every_o sin_n but_o he_o be_v hearty_o desirous_a that_o we_o shall_v repent_v of_o it_o and_o when_o hand_n of_o every_o love_a and_o good_a nature_a man_n for_o since_o god_n can_v be_v equal_v and_o much_o less_o outdo_v by_o the_o very_o best_a of_o we_o in_o kindness_n what_o the_o weak_a love_n of_o a_o man_n do_v every_o day_n effect_n that_o certain_o the_o infinite_a love_n of_o god_n will_v effect_v more_o abundant_o and_o as_o for_o this_o way_n of_o argue_v it_o be_v no_o more_o than_o our_o saviour_n himself_o use_v in_o another_o case_n when_o he_o show_v that_o god_n will_v give_v good_a gift_n unto_o his_o child_n at_o their_o request_n because_o all_o earthly_a parent_n do_v it_o unto_o they_o daily_o whenas_o yet_o their_o love_n which_o make_v they_o grant_v the_o good_a thing_n ask_v so_o ready_o be_v infinite_o exceed_v by_o the_o love_n of_o god_n luk._n 11.13_o thus_o from_o the_o consideration_n of_o god_n nature_n it_o plain_o appear_v that_o those_o slip_n and_o transgression_n which_o be_v commit_v involuntary_o and_o unavoidable_o because_o ignorant_o and_o inconsiderate_o do_v not_o put_v we_o out_o of_o a_o state_n of_o grace_n but_o consist_v with_o it_o which_o will_v appear_v yet_o further_o if_o we_o consider_v second_o the_o nature_n and_o plain_a declaration_n of_o the_o gospel_n as_o for_o the_o nature_n of_o the_o gospel_n s_o t_o paul_n affirm_v plain_o that_o it_o be_v of_o such_o a_o temper_n and_o genius_n as_o tend_v to_o ingenerate_v in_o the_o professor_n of_o it_o not_o a_o spirit_n of_o fear_n and_o slavery_n which_o they_o be_v possess_v with_o who_o serve_v a_o rigorous_a and_o austere_a lord_n but_o a_o spirit_n of_o cheerfulness_n and_o free_a confidence_n such_o as_o they_o enjoy_v who_o serve_v a_o gracious_a and_o a_o love_a father_n for_o he_o tell_v the_o jew_n at_o rome_n that_o in_o embrace_v of_o christ_n gospel_n they_o have_v not_o receive_v again_o the_o spirit_n of_o bondage_n unto_o the_o possess_n of_o their_o heart_n with_o fear_n and_o scruple_n but_o the_o spirit_n of_o adoption_n whereby_o they_o be_v embolden_v with_o the_o cheerfulness_n and_o confidence_n of_o son_n to_o cry_v unto_o god_n abba_n father_n rom._n 8.15_o but_o now_o if_o the_o condition_n of_o the_o gospel_n itself_o be_v so_o severe_a as_o that_o according_a to_o the_o tenor_n of_o it_o these_o unavoidable_a slip_n of_o inconsideration_n and_o ignorance_n shall_v set_v god_n and_o we_o at_o enmity_n no_o christian_a man_n can_v ever_o look_v upon_o god_n as_o upon_o his_o tender_a father_n with_o this_o spirit_n of_o filial_a freedom_n but_o must_v needs_o fear_v and_o dread_v he_o as_o his_o angry_a and_o avenge_a lord_n and_o the_o gospel_n require_v more_o of_o we_o under_o the_o forfeiture_n of_o god_n favour_n than_o any_o man_n among_o we_o be_v able_a to_o perform_v it_o can_v not_o minister_v to_o ingenerate_v in_o we_o a_o spirit_n of_o cheerful_a confidence_n towards_o he_o but_o quite_o contrary_a to_o that_o to_o fill_v we_o with_o inextricable_a doubt_n and_o fear_n of_o he_o as_o for_o these_o slip_n of_o ignorance_n then_o which_o can_v be_v avoid_v we_o may_v be_v assure_v that_o according_a to_o the_o gospel_n they_o never_o can_v be_v punish_v for_o the_o new_a covenant_n must_v bear_v with_o they_o because_o it_o can_v engender_v in_o we_o this_o spirit_n of_o adoption_n and_o filial_a confidence_n without_o such_o forbearance_n and_o then_o as_o for_o the_o declaration_n of_o the_o gospel_n in_o this_o matter_n they_o be_v very_o clear_a also_o for_o beside_o those_o place_n that_o be_v mention_v above_o which_o show_v clear_o that_o no_o involuntary_a sin_n be_v damn_v and_o then_o certain_o that_o our_o slip_n of_o ignorance_n be_v not_o seeing_z they_o have_v the_o great_a plea_n to_o involuntariness_n of_o any_o i_o say_v beside_o those_o this_o consistence_n of_o our_o unknown_a and_o unconsidered_a slip_n will_v be_v evident_a from_o other_o place_n also_o and_o for_o this_o to_o seek_v no_o further_o s_o t_o james_n rule_n be_v full_a and_o plain_a to_o he_o that_o know_v or_o which_o come_v to_o the_o same_o thing_n if_o he_o will_v may_v know_v how_o to_o do_v good_a and_o do_v it_o not_o to_o he_o it_o be_v sin_n jam._n 4.17_o if_o then_o we_o have_v no_o other_o sin_n to_o answer_v for_o but_o only_o these_o of_o inconsideration_n and_o ignorance_n we_o be_v guilty_a of_o none_o wherefore_o we_o shall_v be_v condemn_v these_o unknown_a sin_n not_o be_v of_o that_o number_n and_o indeed_o saint_n to_o james_n rule_n be_v verify_v by_o scripture_n instance_n for_o holy_a david_n fall_v through_o of_o several_a of_o his_o dear_a saint_n who_o have_v experience_v the_o truth_n of_o it_o by_o all_o which_o it_o appear_v that_o so_o long_o as_o we_o be_v guilty_a of_o no_o other_o slip_n but_o such_o as_o these_o we_o be_v safe_a in_o god_n favour_n and_o secure_a of_o his_o promise_n we_o shall_v be_v accept_v by_o he_o although_o we_o live_v and_o die_v in_o they_o and_o thus_o at_o length_n it_o appear_v what_o sin_n be_v true_o and_o innocent_o involuntary_a viz._n those_o which_o be_v act_v ignorant_o and_o unwitting_o and_o that_o they_o do_v not_o unsaint_n a_o man_n or_o destroy_v his_o state_n of_o grace_n and_o salvation_n but_o consist_v with_o it_o chap._n v._n of_o these_o involuntary_a and_o consistent_a sin_n particular_o and_o of_o the_o first_o cause_n of_o innocent_a involuntariness_n viz._n ignorance_n the_o content_n a_o twofold_a knowledge_n necessary_a to_o choice_n viz._n a_o general_a understanding_n and_o particular_a consideration_n consistent_a
