of_o it_o in_o this_o our_o nation_n when_o god_n be_v please_v to_o give_v we_o peace_n and_o plenty_n and_o all_o that_o our_o heart_n can_v desire_v how_o many_o be_v there_o that_o live_v under_o a_o profession_n of_o religion_n when_o religion_n be_v in_o credit_n yet_o the_o world_n have_v the_o mastery_n of_o their_o heart_n how_o sudden_o do_v those_o person_n miscarry_v and_o turn_v aside_o some_o to_o one_o opinion_n and_o some_o to_o another_o and_o sure_o those_o who_o lie_v in_o wait_n to_o deceive_v observe_v the_o frame_n and_o temper_n of_o man_n spirit_n and_o order_v their_o deceit_n according_o 3._o that_o god_n in_o his_o just_a judgement_n give_v such_o over_o to_o be_v deceive_v when_o once_o man_n will_v indulge_v themselves_o in_o any_o way_n of_o sin_n when_o once_o they_o wilful_o take_v up_o their_o resolution_n that_o they_o will_v do_v so_o and_o so_o though_o it_o be_v express_o contrary_a to_o the_o word_n of_o god_n god_n be_v please_v to_o those_o truth_n that_o former_o they_o have_v receive_v how_o many_o have_v there_o be_v in_o these_o time_n late_o pass_v that_o have_v live_v under_o a_o profession_n and_o seem_v very_o zealous_a and_o forward_a and_o yet_o some_o corruption_n sway_v their_o heart_n they_o have_v not_o only_o fall_v off_o from_o that_o fervour_n in_o the_o ordinance_n of_o god_n but_o have_v look_v on_o they_o as_o below_o their_o attainment_n and_o as_o needless_a thing_n to_o they_o and_o look_v on_o the_o vain_a fancy_n and_o conceit_n that_o arise_v in_o their_o mind_n to_o be_v the_o breathe_n and_o moving_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n and_o at_o last_o cast_v off_o all_o show_n of_o religion_n and_o question_n whether_o there_o be_v any_o religion_n or_o god_n yea_o or_o no_o now_o consider_v this_o what_o a_o sad_a and_o dreadful_a thing_n be_v this_o to_o fall_v into_o such_o delusion_n and_o yet_o how_o many_o be_v there_o of_o those_o who_o god_n be_v please_v thus_o to_o give_v over_o who_o one_o will_v have_v think_v shall_v never_o have_v receive_v such_o thing_n as_o these_o in_o their_o heart_n but_o it_o have_v be_v evident_a by_o fad_n and_o woeful_a experience_n and_o this_o indeed_o be_v not_o to_o be_v admire_v at_o but_o we_o may_v rather_o marvel_v that_o it_o be_v not_o general_a among_o we_o consider_v how_o we_o have_v slight_v the_o god_n word_n and_o deny_v the_o power_n of_o it_o in_o our_o life_n god_n be_v please_v once_o more_o to_o give_v we_o this_o liberty_n that_o we_o shall_v open_o enjoy_v his_o ordinance_n let_v we_o remember_v that_o god_n will_v the_o issue_n will_v be_v sad_a that_o god_n may_v judicial_o give_v man_n over_o to_o a_o spirit_n of_o delusion_n that_o they_o shall_v run_v into_o the_o most_o dreadful_a and_o erroneous_a what_o be_v good_a and_o what_o be_v false_a every_o one_o that_o do_v see_v he_o will_v say_v that_o man_n will_v be_v utter_o undo_v so_o it_o be_v here_o what_o a_o sad_a condition_n be_v this_o when_o man_n shall_v come_v with_o corrupt_a and_o unsound_a doctrine_n and_o shall_v deceive_v they_o and_o they_o be_v not_o able_a to_o discern_v the_o precious_a truth_n of_o christ_n from_o those_o damnable_a doctrine_n alas_o in_o what_o a_o condition_n be_v the_o ignorant_a when_o man_n shall_v come_v after_o this_o manner_n to_o they_o and_o tell_v they_o that_o by_o their_o improvement_n of_o their_o natural_a ability_n and_o that_o common_a light_n which_o god_n have_v give_v they_o they_o shall_v obtain_v the_o love_n and_o favour_n of_o god_n and_o shall_v in_o time_n come_v to_o partake_v of_o everlasting_a life_n and_o glory_n what_o a_o dreadful_a thing_n be_v this_o and_o yet_o this_o go_v down_o currant_n with_o those_o that_o do_v not_o know_v the_o scripture_n when_o it_o be_v manifest_a that_o we_o be_v dead_a and_o that_o the_o light_n that_o be_v in_o we_o be_v gross_a darkness_n that_o unless_o he_o that_o be_v the_o light_n of_o light_n do_v inlighten_v we_o by_o the_o light_n of_o his_o bless_a spirit_n we_o be_v never_o able_a to_o discern_v spiritual_a thing_n so_o when_o man_n come_v and_o tell_v they_o that_o by_o their_o good_a work_n by_o their_o repentance_n and_o work_n of_o righteousness_n they_o may_v do_v away_o their_o sin_n and_o obtain_v god_n favour_n when_o man_n do_v bring_v these_o thing_n with_o fair_a gloss_n and_o pretence_n colour_v they_o with_o the_o scripture_n they_o be_v easy_o carry_v away_o with_o they_o oh_o say_v they_o these_o be_v good_a man_n they_o bring_v the_o word_n of_o god_n for_o what_o they_o say_v again_o if_o they_o come_v with_o such_o doctrine_n as_o this_o that_o man_n ought_v not_o to_o rush_v present_o into_o the_o presence_n of_o christ_n but_o they_o must_v make_v friend_n by_o some_o mediator_n as_o by_o the_o saint_n that_o be_v depart_v and_o by_o this_o mean_v they_o may_v be_v intercede_v for_o that_o they_o may_v be_v hear_v of_o he_o oh_o say_v they_o this_o do_v not_o derogate_v from_o the_o honour_n of_o christ_n he_o have_v the_o honour_n of_o all_o we_o do_v but_o it_o be_v rudeness_n thus_o to_o rush_v immediate_o into_o his_o presence_n this_o carry_v far_o with_o ignorant_a people_n for_o here_o be_v a_o fair_a pretence_n and_o shiew_o of_o humility_n though_o it_o be_v clear_a in_o the_o scripture_n that_o they_o bring_v a_o great_a deal_n of_o dishonour_n to_o christ_n when_o they_o take_v away_o the_o honour_n of_o his_o mediatorship_n and_o put_v it_o on_o saint_n and_o angel_n we_o can_v dishonour_v christ_n more_o than_o when_o we_o rob_v he_o of_o the_o glory_n of_o his_o grace_n encourage_v we_o at_o all_o time_n to_o come_v to_o he_o and_o that_o we_o shall_v come_v to_o the_o father_n in_o and_o through_o the_o son_n it_o be_v not_o for_o the_o sake_n of_o saint_n and_o angel_n but_o for_o the_o sake_n of_o christ_n alone_o that_o we_o be_v accept_v of_o god_n again_o when_o they_o bring_v such_o abominable_a doctrine_n as_o this_o that_o we_o must_v pray_v before_o image_n oh_o say_v they_o we_o pray_v not_o to_o the_o image_n but_o these_o be_v serviceable_a to_o keep_v our_o affection_n on_o god_n whereas_o they_o place_v a_o holiness_n in_o such_o thing_n and_o make_v that_o a_o help_v which_o god_n have_v not_o command_v but_o express_o forbid_v and_o what_o a_o sad_a thing_n be_v it_o when_o soul_n be_v draw_v aside_o to_o embrace_v such_o impious_a doctrine_n as_o this_o that_o after_o the_o word_n of_o conscecration_n the_o bread_n be_v the_o very_a body_n of_o christ_n and_o argue_v thus_o this_o be_v the_o word_n of_o christ_n that_o be_v truth_n himself_o and_o will_v you_o â—beâ—_n christ_n again_o other_o that_o be_v not_o so_o horrible_o gross_a have_v other_o way_n to_o deceive_v press_v man_n to_o worship_n god_n after_o another_o way_n than_o that_o which_o god_n have_v appoint_v if_o you_o ask_v they_o what_o ground_n they_o have_v for_o such_o and_o such_o needless_a ceremony_n why_o say_v they_o this_o be_v decency_n and_o we_o must_v do_v all_o thing_n decent_o and_o in_o order_n alas_o how_o many_o poor_a soul_n be_v deceive_v herein_o and_o become_v zealous_a contender_n for_o ceremony_n and_o more_o earnest_a in_o they_o then_o
