thou_o be_v busy_v thyself_o to_o lay_v up_o for_o many_o year_n whereas_o it_o may_v be_v this_o night_n follow_v thy_o soul_n may_v be_v require_v of_o thou_o and_o then_o who_o shall_v these_o riches_n be_v which_o thou_o have_v gather_v together_o with_o the_o loss_n of_o thy_o salvation_n if_o thou_o shall_v say_v i_o shall_v leave_v my_o riches_n to_o my_o child_n i_o answer_v but_o god_n may_v possible_o cut_v off_o thy_o child_n also_o as_o sudden_o as_o thyself_o or_o say_v that_o thy_o child_n shall_v live_v long_o to_o enjoy_v thy_o riches_n yet_o what_o joy_n will_v it_o be_v unto_o thou_o to_o think_v when_o thou_o be_v in_o hell_n i_o have_v leave_v rich_a child_n upon_o the_o earth_n and_o for_o provide_v for_o they_o superfluity_n i_o have_v bring_v upon_o myself_o this_o eternal_a torment_n 2._o use_v 2._o second_o as_o this_o doctrine_n serve_v for_o reproof_n so_o it_o serve_v for_o instruction_n for_o first_o it_o shall_v teach_v we_o not_o to_o defer_v our_o repentance_n but_o while_o it_o be_v call_v to_o day_n we_o ought_v to_o turn_v from_o the_o power_n of_o satan_n to_o god_n and_o that_o with_o sound_a humiliation_n but_o thou_o will_v say_v i_o can_v do_v this_o soon_o enough_o when_o i_o be_o old_a but_o consider_v with_o thyself_o be_v thou_o sure_a to_o live_v until_o thou_o be_v old_a have_v thou_o a_o lease_n of_o thy_o life_n or_o suppose_v thou_o can_v be_v assure_v that_o thou_o shall_v live_v until_o thou_o be_v old_a yet_o how_o know_v thou_o that_o god_n at_o that_o time_n will_v give_v thou_o repentance_n 3_o use_v 3_o three_o this_o doctrine_n may_v be_v matter_n of_o consolation_n first_o unto_o such_o as_o endure_v banishment_n imprisonment_n poverty_n sickness_n or_o any_o other_o affliction_n they_o must_v think_v that_o their_o affliction_n can_v be_v long_o because_o their_o life_n be_v but_o short_a they_o shall_v not_o need_v desperate_o to_o make_v away_o themselves_o before_o the_o time_n god_n will_v take_v they_o away_o soon_o enough_o by_o one_o occasion_n or_o by_o another_o second_o it_o may_v be_v matter_n of_o comfort_n unto_o all_o such_o as_o believe_v for_o now_o be_v their_o salvation_n near_o than_o when_o they_o believe_v thou_o be_v here_o this_o year_n thou_o may_v be_v advance_v into_o heaven_n before_o the_o next_o thou_o be_v here_o this_o week_n thou_o may_v be_v with_o christ_n before_o the_o next_o yea_o thou_o be_v here_o to_o day_n thou_o may_v be_v in_o bliss_n before_o to_o morrow_n know_v that_o short_o etc._n etc._n as_o though_o he_o shall_v say_v see_v i_o know_v that_o i_o shall_v not_o remain_v long_o therefore_o i_o write_v unto_o you_o this_o epistle_n endeavour_v while_o i_o be_o with_o you_o to_o do_v the_o best_a good_a that_o i_o can_v our_o place_n to_o glorify_v god_n let_v we_o think_v we_o have_v none_o of_o we_o all_o to_o abide_v here_o long_o and_o when_o we_o shall_v be_v go_v we_o shall_v not_o have_v liberty_n to_o return_v to_o dispatch_v any_o thing_n which_o we_o have_v leave_v unperfect_v therefore_o since_o with_o peter_n we_o must_v short_o lay_v down_o this_o tabernacle_n let_v we_o stir_v up_o our_o self_n to_o more_o diligence_n in_o well_o do_v thou_o which_o be_v a_o minister_n do_v thou_o think_v that_o thou_o shall_v not_o live_v long_o be_v the_o more_o diligent_a in_o preach_v and_o first_o because_o god_n be_v not_o as_o man_n that_o he_o shall_v lie_v he_o be_v truth_n itself_o he_o can_v lie_v therefore_o what_o he_o speak_v it_o be_v infallible_o true_a second_o because_o the_o word_n have_v be_v prove_v to_o be_v a_o undoubted_a truth_n from_o generation_n to_o generation_n it_o be_v never_o find_v contrary_a and_o therefore_o we_o have_v no_o reason_n to_o call_v the_o truth_n of_o it_o into_o
but_o a_o little_a light_n at_o the_o first_o yet_o it_o bring_v great_a joy_n both_o to_o man_n and_o beast_n so_o effectual_a illumination_n though_o it_o be_v weak_a as_o the_o first_o yet_o be_v in_o truth_n it_o bring_v joy_n to_o the_o angel_n for_o the_o very_a angel_n rejoice_v of_o the_o conversion_n of_o a_o sinner_n luke_n 15._o it_o bring_v joy_n to_o the_o friend_n of_o a_o convert_n himself_o who_o be_v darkness_n be_v now_o make_v light_n in_o the_o lord_n three_o as_o the_o dawn_n though_o it_o be_v but_o a_o small_a light_n at_o the_o first_o yet_o it_o grow_v great_a and_o great_a until_o the_o perfect_a day_n so_o it_o be_v with_o true_a illumination_n it_o be_v a_o grow_a light_n prou._n 4.18_o but_o the_o path_n of_o the_o just_a be_v as_o a_o shine_a light_n which_o shine_v more_o and_o more_o till_o the_o perfect_a day_n four_o as_o the_o dawn_n be_v procure_v by_o the_o light_n of_o the_o sun_n even_o so_o true_a illumination_n flow_v from_o christ_n as_o from_o the_o sun_n of_o righteousness_n the_o dayspring_n which_o visit_v we_o be_v from_o on_o high_a that_o be_v from_o christ_n lu._n 1.78_o and_o god_n which_o cause_v light_a to_o shine_v out_o glorious_a second_o as_o the_o morning_n star_n be_v the_o forerunner_n of_o the_o sun_n or_o of_o a_o great_a light_n than_o itself_o so_o grace_n be_v the_o forerunner_n of_o glory_n three_o as_o the_o morning_n star_n vanish_v when_o the_o sun_n appear_v so_o faith_n which_o be_v one_o of_o the_o first_o grace_n it_o vanish_v away_o when_o christ_n shall_v appear_v and_o when_o we_o shall_v receive_v that_o which_o we_o believe_v or_o hope_v for_o quest_n quest_n may_v not_o the_o reprobate_n have_v this_o dawn_n and_o day_n star_n arise_v in_o their_o heart_n answer_n answer_n no_o very_o for_o though_o they_o have_v some_o kind_n of_o enlighten_v yet_o they_o can_v attain_v effectual_a illumination_n their_o enlighten_v be_v as_o the_o light_n of_o some_o vapour_n or_o which_o seem_v to_o be_v a_o star_n when_o it_o be_v nothing_o less_o and_o there_o be_v a_o manifest_a difference_n betwixt_o the_o light_n of_o the_o elect_a and_o the_o light_n of_o the_o reprobate_n 1._o because_o the_o light_n of_o the_o elect_a be_v a_o effectual_a light_n the_o light_n of_o the_o reprobate_n uneffectual_a 1._o thessalonian_o 2.13_o 2._o because_o the_o light_n of_o the_o elect_a be_v a_o grow_a light_n the_o light_n of_o the_o reprobate_n not_o so_o 2._o tim._n 3.13_o 3._o because_o the_o light_n of_o the_o elect_a be_v a_o transform_a light_n make_v they_o objection_n objection_n but_o some_o possible_o will_v say_v i_o have_v be_v a_o hearer_n of_o the_o word_n these_o many_o year_n and_o yet_o i_o can_v see_v that_o ever_o i_o receive_v any_o benefit_n by_o my_o hear_n to_o what_o end_n shall_v i_o hear_v any_o long_o answ_n answ_n yes_o there_o be_v reason_n thou_o shall_v be_v constant_a in_o hear_v for_o thou_o know_v not_o at_o what_o hour_n thou_o shall_v be_v call_v into_o the_o vine-yard_n whether_o at_o the_o nine_o hour_n or_o at_o the_o eleven_o objection_n objection_n if_o any_o shall_v object_v further_o and_o say_v be_v gift_n shall_v give_v upon_o the_o scripture_n without_o the_o help_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n the_o point_n hence_o to_o be_v note_v be_v that_o doctrine_n doctrine_n none_o be_v able_a to_o interpret_v scripture_n by_o their_o own_o natural_a understanding_n or_o natural_a help_n without_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n for_o the_o proof_n of_o this_o
