comfort_n our_o saviour_n in_o john_n 14.1_o bid_v we_o to_o believe_v in_o god_n through_o he_o you_o believe_v in_o god_n believe_v also_o in_o i_o that_o be_v look_v upon_o the_o covenant_n of_o god_n and_o all_o the_o promise_n of_o god_n make_v good_a in_o i_o believe_v that_o what_o my_o father_n have_v give_v i_o to_o do_v i_o have_v finish_v it_o all_o the_o work_n of_o your_o undertake_v to_o satisfy_v full_o now_o a_o doubt_n of_o either_o be_v unworthy_a in_o he_o that_o be_v a_o heir_n of_o both_o in_o the_o next_o place_n methinks_v this_o call_v for_o much_o love_n from_o saint_n to_o god_n and_o christ_n oh_o how_o shall_v we_o love_v god_n that_o have_v free_o give_v we_o christ_n and_o with_o he_o all_o thing_n the_o great_a god_n of_o heaven_n and_o earth_n have_v no_o great_a gift_n than_o christ_n to_o give_v and_o he_o he_o have_v free_o give_v we_o and_o in_o christ_n himself_o his_o spirit_n his_o kingdom_n and_o his_o glory_n too_o who_o will_v not_o love_v a_o heart_n so_o full_a of_o love_n as_o god_n heart_n be_v how_o can_v we_o choose_v but_o love_v a_o hand_n so_o full_a of_o love_n as_o god_n hand_n be_v what_o ever_o may_v just_o command_v or_o invite_v love_n it_o be_v in_o the_o heart_n and_o hand_n of_o god_n there_o be_v mercy_n free_a and_o full_a in_o god_n at_o his_o right_a hand_n be_v fullness_n of_o joy_n for_o evermore_o love_n have_v its_o first_o conception_n in_o the_o heart_n of_o god_n we_o love_v he_o because_o he_o love_v we_o first_o the_o glory_n of_o his_o love_n be_v the_o rise_n of_o our_o love_n the_o piecemeal_n of_o beauty_n and_o glory_n which_o we_o earnest_o seek_v and_o pursue_v after_o in_o the_o creature_n they_o all_o centre_n in_o god_n what_o ever_o it_o be_v that_o may_v be_v take_v to_o soul_n affection_n that_o be_v in_o its_o primitive_a glory_n as_o it_o be_v in_o god_n and_o true_o do_v we_o see_v god_n by_o a_o eye_n of_o faith_n as_o we_o do_v thing_n below_o with_o a_o eye_n of_o sense_n the_o brightness_n of_o his_o glory_n will_v darken_v all_o low_a glory_n and_o all_o the_o stream_n of_o our_o affection_n will_v run_v into_o god_n who_o be_v the_o fountain_n and_o original_n of_o all_o love_n and_o loveliness_n
and_o fear_v it_o less_o it_o be_v our_o carnality_n that_o make_v it_o a_o king_n and_o set_v it_o on_o the_o throne_n and_o then_o we_o fall_v down_o and_o worship_v it_o but_o god_n have_v make_v the_o world_n our_o footstool_n as_o it_o be_v christ_n for_o he_o be_v our_o interest_n and_o what_o be_v his_o glory_n as_o our_o head_n be_v our_o glory_n as_o his_o member_n when_o the_o world_n concern_v saint_n be_v mention_v by_o god_n it_o be_v as_o a_o additional_a thing_n but_o christ_n and_o his_o righteousness_n be_v a_o saint_n interest_n the_o holy_a ghost_n give_v the_o world_n this_o title_n the_o meat_n that_o perish_v but_o christ_n be_v that_o portion_n which_o endure_v for_o ever_o call_v not_o that_o enough_o which_o be_v not_o enough_o for_o a_o moment_n a_o frown_n from_o god_n can_v in_o a_o moment_n darken_v all_o the_o world_n and_o a_o smile_n from_o god_n as_o soon_o outshine_v all_o the_o beauty_n of_o the_o world_n oh_o than_o saint_n let_v this_o teach_v we_o toknow_v our_o full_a interest_n in_o god_n and_o the_o emptiness_n of_o this_o empty_a perish_a world_n last_o this_o call_v all_o saint_n to_o rejoice_v in_o the_o glorious_a appearance_n of_o christ_n that_o will_v be_v a_o day_n of_o glory_n that_o never_o will_v have_v night_n the_o sun_n that_o will_v give_v give_v light_n unto_o that_o day_n will_v be_v the_o son_n of_o righteousness_n and_o the_o god_n of_o grace_n we_o shall_v from_o that_o to_o all_o eternity_n never_o behold_v nor_o enjoy_v less_o glory_n than_o god_n himself_o god_n fill_v we_o and_o all_o that_o glorious_a company_n above_o not_o only_a reveal_n but_o communicate_v the_o fullness_n of_o his_o glory_n to_o we_o so_o that_o our_o vild_a body_n shall_v be_v make_v like_o unto_o his_o glorious_a body_n and_o the_o whole_a soul_n and_o body_n make_v capable_a to_o receive_v and_o shall_v be_v satisfy_v with_o the_o fullness_n of_o god_n all_o the_o glory_n of_o heaven_n shall_v centre_n in_o our_o bosom_n and_o that_o shall_v be_v the_o feast_n which_o the_o lamb_n and_o his_o wife_n shall_v keep_v to_o all_o eternity_n be_v not_o this_o a_o fit_a subject_n for_o our_o joy_n if_o such_o a_o day_n as_o this_o be_v at_o hand_n oh_o then_o rejoice_v all_o you_o who_o interest_n be_v in_o christ_n for_o every_o moment_n in_o this_o die_a world_n hasten_v to_o this_o day_n all_o the_o cloud_n which_o give_v life_n to_o the_o world_n for_o proof_n of_o this_o first_o head_n we_o need_v go_v no_o further_o than_o this_o chapter_n in_o which_o every_o testimony_n to_o this_o truth_n be_v the_o witness_n of_o the_o lord_n of_o truth_n even_o christ_n himself_o to_o that_o of_o the_o 33._o verse_n take_v the_o 38._o verse_n of_o this_o chapter_n for_o i_o come_v down_o from_o heaven_n not_o to_o do_v my_o own_o will_n but_o the_o will_n of_o he_o that_o send_v i_o so_o in_o vers_fw-la 52._o i_o be_o the_o live_a bread_n which_o come_v down_o from_o heaven_n and_o likewise_o in_o in_o this_o chapter_n as_o it_o be_v centre_v in_o this_o 48._o vers_fw-la i_o be_o that_o bread_n of_o life_n in_o verse_n 33._o he_o call_v himself_o the_o bread_n of_o god_n and_o the_o life_n of_o the_o world_n and_o in_o vers_n 38._o he_o show_v how_o he_o come_v to_o be_v the_o life_n of_o the_o world_n even_o by_o the_o will_n of_o god_n send_v by_o god_n and_o his_o business_n the_o work_n and_o the_o will_n of_o god_n in_o this_o 39_o and_o 40._o verse_n he_o tell_v we_o and_o this_o be_v the_o father_n will_n which_o have_v send_v i_o that_o of_o all_o which_o he_o have_v give_v i_o i_o shall_v loose_v nothing_o but_o shall_v raise_v it_o up_o again_o at_o the_o last_o day_n and_o this_o be_v the_o will_n of_o he_o that_o send_v i_o that_o every_o one_o that_o see_v the_o son_n namely_o that_o all_o which_o god_n his_o father_n have_v give_v he_o shall_v have_v everlasting_a life_n in_o he_o he_o tell_v we_o how_o faithful_a he_o will_v be_v in_o this_o work_n so_o that_o nothing_o shall_v be_v lose_v that_o god_n have_v commit_v to_o he_o and_o tell_v we_o this_o be_v the_o will_n of_o god_n 40._o verse_n 40._o that_o every_o soul_n which_o he_o have_v give_v to_o christ_n shall_v have_v a_o discovery_n of_o he_o and_o believe_v on_o he_o and_o that_o in_o all_o this_o will_n of_o god_n run_v the_o seed_n of_o eternal_a life_n for_o that_o part_n which_o be_v capable_a of_o lie_v down_o in_o the_o dust_n to_o sleep_v even_o that_o part_n shall_v not_o be_v lose_v but_o shall_v be_v raise_v up_o at_o the_o last_o day_n that_o be_v the_o last_o day_n of_o the_o world_n which_o pass_v away_o like_o a_o dream_n in_o the_o night_n now_o if_o we_o lie_v all_o this_o together_o must_v we_o not_o needs_o acknowledge_v this_o truth_n that_o christ_n be_v the_o bread_n of_o god_n the_o bread_n of_o life_n yea_o the_o god_n of_o life_n our_o saviour_n use_v this_o term_n of_o bread_n indulgent_o to_o the_o weakness_n of_o our_o flesh_n but_o his_o work_n be_v in_o the_o spirit_n and_o if_o god_n give_v we_o the_o spirit_n with_o the_o letter_n we_o shall_v discern_v the_o glory_n of_o christ_n as_o he_o be_v our_o life_n in_o his_o own_o light_n this_o appear_v by_o our_o saviour_n own_o word_n in_o vers_fw-la 63._o of_o this_o chapter_n it_o be_v the_o spirit_n that_o quicken_v the_o flesh_n profit_v nothing_o the_o word_n that_o i_o speak_v unto_o you_o they_o be_v spirit_n and_o they_o be_v life_n christ_n word_n be_v spirit_n &_o life_n 49._o verse_n 49._o because_o himself_o be_v our_o spiritual_a life_n in_o vers_fw-la 49._o christ_n tell_v we_o what_o he_o do_v mean_a by_o this_o bread_n of_o life_n your_o father_n do_v eat_v manna_n in_o the_o wilderness_n and_o be_v dead_a as_o if_o christ_n shall_v say_v no_o full_a well_o when_o he_o desire_v to_o know_v nothing_o but_o christ_n and_o he_o crucify_v in_o rom._n 8._o the_o apostle_n glory_v in_o the_o freegrace_n of_o god_n it_o be_v god_n that_o justify_v say_v he_o and_o christ_n that_o have_v dye_v who_o shall_v condemn_v as_o if_o he_o have_v say_v freegrace_n have_v magnify_v itself_o to_o i_o in_o which_o i_o be_o safe_a so_o that_o none_o can_v condemn_v and_o in_o this_o i_o glory_n and_o the_o same_o apostle_n in_o rom._n 5.2_o make_v mention_n of_o the_o access_n that_o saint_n have_v by_o faith_n into_o the_o grace_n wherein_o they_o stand_v if_o we_o look_v into_o the_o 53d._o of_o isa_n we_o shall_v there_o find_v particular_n of_o much_o of_o that_o grace_n of_o god_n under_o which_o we_o be_v namely_o the_o suffering_n of_o there_o a_o plain_a discovery_n of_o the_o design_n of_o god_n freegrace_n say_v the_o text_n he_o be_v make_v sin_n for_o we_o who_o know_v no_o sin_n that_o we_o may_v be_v make_v the_o righteousness_n of_o god_n in_o he_o the_o lord_n which_o have_v no_o sin_n of_o his_o own_o have_v never_o be_v make_v sin_n nor_o have_v he_o bear_v sin_n with_o all_o the_o punishment_n due_a to_o righteousness_n to_o every_o one_o that_o believe_v and_o this_o salvation_n be_v of_o the_o freegrace_n of_o god_n we_o have_v this_o righteousness_n free_o of_o his_o grace_n gal._n 2.16_o by_o the_o work_n of_o the_o law_n shall_v no_o man_n be_v justify_v gal._n 3.10_o for_o as_o many_o as_o be_v of_o the_o work_n of_o the_o law_n be_v under_o the_o curse_n but_o in_o vers_fw-la 13._o of_o that_o chapter_n christ_n have_v redeem_v we_o from_o the_o curse_n of_o the_o law_n be_v make_v a_o curse_n for_o we_o in_o short_a this_o be_v the_o state_n of_o grace_n christ_n make_v we_o and_o his_o father_n to_o enjoy_v fullness_n of_o glory_n with_o he_o to_o all_o eternity_n now_o read_v all_o this_o backward_a and_o forward_o and_o behold_v the_o height_n the_o breadth_n the_o depth_n and_o length_n of_o it_o and_o then_o you_o will_v find_v it_o all_o the_o freegrace_n of_o god_n and_o sure_o i_o be_o every_o soul_n which_o in_o the_o spirit_n come_v to_o know_v and_o behold_v himself_o thus_o full_o justify_v will_v give_v god_n the_o glory_n and_o acknowledge_v it_o to_o be_v free_o by_o his_o grace_n through_o the_o redemption_n that_o be_v in_o jesus_n christ_n this_o give_v all_o to_o know_v that_o god_n way_n in_o justify_v of_o his_o people_n be_v through_o christ_n the_o great_a gift_n of_o his_o freegrace_n not_o of_o work_n say_v the_o text_n no_v not_o from_o good_a meaning_n or_o from_o good_a do_v all_o good_a in_o a_o saint_n arise_v from_o his_o oneness_a with_o christ_n in_o who_o both_o person_n and_o duty_n be_v justify_v by_o the_o freegrace_n of_o god_n it_o be_v not_o our_o external_o make_v our_o beauty_n in_o the_o sight_n of_o god_n not_o our_o get_n into_o fellowship_n with_o the_o saint_n and_o enjoy_v ordinance_n and_o privilege_n with_o they_o but_o our_o fellowship_n with_o christ_n i_o in_o you_o and_o you_o in_o i_o say_v christ_n and_o the_o spouse_n my_o belove_a be_v i_o and_o i_o be_o he_o ay_o herein_o lie_v the_o glory_n and_o the_o interest_n of_o a_o justify_v one_o christ_n say_v to_o his_o come_v you_o bless_v of_o my_o father_n and_o the_o father_n say_v you_o be_v complete_a in_o he_o here_o be_v god_n make_v a_o soul_n from_o all_o eternity_n one_o with_o christ_n and_o pronounce_v he_o for_o ever_o justify_v in_o the_o blood_n and_o righteousness_n of_o christ_n oh_o then_o when_o you_o have_v but_o a_o thought_n of_o stand_v justify_v before_o god_n lay_v down_o all_o but_o christ_n if_o you_o have_v a_o eye_n to_o duty_n look_v on_o they_o as_o the_o fruit_n of_o christ_n in_o you_o by_o who_o you_o be_v justify_v of_o the_o freegrace_n of_o god_n you_o may_v look_v on_o duty_n as_o the_o fruit_n of_o your_o justification_n but_o none_o but_o christ_n as_o the_o root_n and_o foundation_n of_o it_o second_o it_o shall_v beget_v admiration_n in_o consider_v god_n give_v free_o such_o eternal_a love_n and_o loveliness_n to_o his_o elect_a saint_n though_o by_o nature_n to_o be_v free_a than_o the_o make_v his_o covenant_n in_o himself_o can_v keep_v that_o from_o be_v free_a that_o justice_n be_v satisfy_v make_v it_o full_a redemption_n to_o we_o but_o that_o god_n do_v it_o in_o christ_n which_o be_v whole_o out_o of_o ourselves_o keep_v it_o very_o exact_o to_o be_v the_o redemption_n of_o freegrace_n we_o be_v justify_v free_o by_o his_o grace_n through_o the_o redemption_n that_o be_v in_o christ_n rom._n 3.24_o that_o god_n do_v satisfy_v his_o justice_n in_o christ_n it_o be_v that_o through_o he_o we_o may_v be_v make_v partake_v be_v of_o the_o redemption_n of_o his_o grace_n it_o be_v grace_n redeem_v and_o just_a fie_v by_o christ_n but_o christ_n the_o gift_n of_o god_n grace_n can_v diminish_v his_o grace_n that_o which_o god_n give_v be_o sure_a but_o blasphemer_n can_v pretend_v to_o be_v giver_n of_o such_o rich_a mercy_n as_o these_o god_n be_v the_o only_a fountain_n and_o giver_n of_o these_o more_o exceed_v and_o eternal_a weight_n of_o glory_n nay_o that_o which_o worldling_n make_v their_o god_n namely_o the_o world_n it_o be_v create_v by_o he_o and_o for_o he_o and_o though_o it_o be_v a_o curse_n to_o they_o that_o know_v no_o other_o god_n yet_o every_o piece_n and_o parcel_n of_o it_o sanctify_a be_v a_o blessing_n and_o a_o rich_a mercy_n of_o god_n to_o his_o choose_a people_n love_n make_v all_o condition_n to_o be_v rich_a mercy_n of_o god_n to_o they_o it_o be_v a_o rich_a mercy_n to_o a_o dark_a world_n to_o say_v let_v there_o be_v light_n and_o it_o be_v so_o but_o then_o how_o rich_a be_v god_n in_o mercy_n when_o he_o make_v know_v his_o eternal_a love_n and_o shine_v through_o the_o wound_n of_o christ_n by_o his_o own_o spirit_n into_o a_o dark_a soul_n and_o bid_v the_o soul_n be_v of_o good_a cheer_n its_o sin_n be_v forgive_v it_o stand_v complete_a in_o christ_n and_o be_v a_o heir_n of_o god_n a_o joynt-heire_n with_o christ_n however_o man_n may_v slight_v the_o riches_n of_o these_o spiritual_a mercy_n whilst_o they_o be_v glut_v their_o soul_n with_o the_o world_n yet_o let_v they_o remember_v the_o time_n be_v not_o far_o off_o when_o death_n shall_v close_v their_o eye_n and_o their_o soul_n sit_v upod_n their_o tremble_a lip_n and_o then_o a_o glimpse_n of_o a_o reconcile_a god_n in_o christ_n will_v be_v find_v a_o rich_a mercy_n the_o apostle_n call_v the_o love_n of_o god_n height_n and_o breadth_n depth_n and_o length_n of_o love_n he_o take_v in_o all_o that_o he_o can_v reckon_v up_o to_o show_v the_o exceed_a riches_n of_o it_o god_n be_v the_o fullness_n of_o glory_n and_o the_o fountain_n of_o mercy_n therefore_o his_o mercy_n must_v needs_o be_v rich_a and_o full_a of_o glory_n so_o then_o as_o riches_n of_o mercy_n be_v a_o subject_n of_o glory_n let_v he_o that_o glori_v glory_n in_o the_o lord_n in_o the_o next_o place_n consider_v the_o faithfulness_n of_o god_n in_o make_v good_a of_o his_o promise_n god_n be_v a_o free_a god_n in_o all_o his_o promise_n he_o only_o engage_v himself_o no_o soul_n can_v engage_v god_n for_o to_o receive_v all_o from_o god_n and_o yet_o to_o oblige_v god_n be_v a_o contradiction_n the_o first_o be_v a_o truth_n of_o god_n what_o the_o latter_a be_v i_o leave_v the_o reader_n to_o judge_v but_o as_o god_n be_v free_a in_o all_o his_o promise_n the_o whole_a working_n of_o god_n in_o the_o world_n be_v a_o ample_a testimony_n to_o this_o truth_n and_o faithfulness_n of_o god_n but_o yet_o for_o more_o particular_a proof_n take_v two_o or_o three_o scripture_n first_o god_n promise_n at_o the_o fault_n of_o the_o first_o adam_n to_o give_v the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n the_o second_o adam_n in_o gen._n 3.15_o that_o the_o seed_n of_o the_o woman_n namely_o christ_n shall_v bruise_v the_o serpent_n head_n this_o serpent_n be_v the_o devil_n now_o to_o the_o make_v good_a of_o this_o promise_n the_o whole_a word_n of_o god_n and_o the_o salvation_n of_o his_o people_n be_v a_o full_a testimony_n for_o another_o great_a promise_n take_v that_o of_o god_n give_v his_o spirit_n to_o his_o people_n to_o teach_v they_o and_o to_o lead_v they_o into_o all_o promise_n such_o as_o be_v true_o spiritual_a can_v give_v in_o their_o testimony_n and_o i_o doubt_v not_o but_o god_n have_v many_o thousand_o such_o witness_n in_o the_o world_n though_o such_o as_o know_v he_o not_o do_v blaspheme_v and_o scoff_n at_o he_o in_o scoff_v at_o his_o spirit_n in_o his_o people_n yet_o saint_n in_o truth_n will_v tell_v you_o that_o they_o in_o themselves_o be_v darkness_n and_o god_n be_v only_a light_n and_o it_o be_v the_o spirit_n of_o god_n in_o they_o that_o be_v their_o light_n that_o they_o know_v
