CXIIII WHen Israel out of Egypt land went by a happy change And Jacobs house a people left that were of language strange His Sanctuarie Judah was wherein he chosd to dwell â—nd Isra'l his dominion al 's which he did rule right well The sea it saw and as in feare with hast the flight did take And Jordans river running straight was driv'n most quickly back verse 4 The mountains steep with their high tops did quake and skip as rams So did like wise the little hills ev'n like the younger lambs verse 5 What aild thee O thou troubled fâ— that thou the flight didst take Thou Jordan that so speedilie thou wast by force driv'n back verse 6 Ye mountaines high what was 〈◊〉 cauâ—â— that ye did skip like rams What mov'd you also little hills to skip like younger lambs verse 7 Thou at the presence of the Lord earth tremble all and fear Ev'n at the presence of the GOD of Jacob to him dear verse 8 Which into waters turn'd the roâ— ev'n standing like a lake And in the flint a fountain fair of waters clear did make PSAL. CXV LOrd not to us not unto us but unto thy name take Great glory for thy stedfast truth and for thy mercies sake verse 2 Wherefore should new the heath 〈◊〉 where is their God alone But our God's in the heav'ns he hath what ever he pleased done Their idols silver are and gold workes of mens hands they be They have mouths made but can not speak and eyes but they not see Of ears they have the shape but they hear not what men do tell They noses formed also have but there with cannot smell They hands have but they handle not and feet but cannot walk A throat they have but throgh it they can no way speak or talk To those vain things they are most like that in their wayes unjust Them make ev'n so is every one that into them doth trust verse 9 Trust thou O Israel in the Lord their help and shield that be verse 10 Trust in the Lord O A'rons house their help and shield is he verse 11 Ye that do fear the living Lord trust in the Lord alway He is their strong help and their shield that still upon him stay verse 12 The Lord of us hath mindfull been he sure will blesse us still He will blesse Israls house the house of Aaron blesse he will verse 13 He wil them blesse that fear the Lord and that both great and small verse 14 God shal increase you more more you and your children all verse 15 You all that have an upright heart are blessed of the Lord Which both the heav'n al 's the earth made by his mighty word verse 16 The heav'n ye ev'n the heav'ns above are all the Lords by right But to the sons of men he hath the earth giv'n by his might verse 17 The dead in grave can in no way praise give the Lord unto Nor any whatsoever that down into 〈◊〉 go But we the mighty Lord above will blesse with one accord â—om this time forth for evermore most gladly praise the Lord. PSAL. ISA. 26. vers 1. XXVI â—Udge me O Lord for walk'd I have in mine integrity I trusted al 's have in the Lord therefore slide shall not I. verse 2 Examine me O LORD and al 's me prove in every part Try thou like wise most narrowly my reins and al 's my heart verse 3 For thy most loving kindnesse is alwayes before mine eyes And in thy truth I constantly have walked thee to please verse 4 With persons vaine I surely have not sit in companie Nor will I once go with those meâ— that false dissemblers be verse 5 Of ill doers I hated have the congregation great With wicked men in companie at all I will not sit verse 6 I carefully will wash mine hanâ— in innocency still So I thine Altar with respect O LORD now compasse will That I may publish with the voice of thanks most heartilie And tell of all the wondrous works that have been done by thee The habitation of thy house LORD I have loved well And also the most glorious place where doth thine honour dwell O gather not my soul with those that grievous sinners be Nor yet my life likewise with men whom bloody still we see verse 10 In whose most cruel hands alwayes mischief is ever still And their right hand against all right great bribes do alwayes fill verse 11 Put as for me I will now walk in mine integritie Redeeme thou me and of thy grace be mercifull to me verse 12 In an even place my fixed foot most stedfast standeth still Even in the congregations great the LORD now blesse I will PSAL. XXVIII O Lord my rock to thee I 'll cry not silent be to me Lest I be like men down in pit if thou now silent be verse 2 My supplications voice hear thou when I unto thee cry When to thine holy Oracle mine hands I lift on hye verse 3 With wicked men and doers ill draw thou me not apart Which speak peace to their neighbours still but mischief 's in their heart verse 4 Give them according to their deeds and

Unto the Lord the glory due unto his Name accord â— the beauty of holinesse now worship ye the Lord. XXXI LOrd let me never be asham'd who puts my trust in thee Now in thy perfect righteousnesse do thou deliver me verse 2 Bow down thine ear to me with speed let me deliv'rance have Be thou my strong rock for an house of defence me to save verse 3 For thou in dangers art my rock and fortresse on each side Therefore me lead for thy Names sake and wisely still me guide Pull me out of the net that they laide for me privily For thou alone art my great strength whereon I do rely verse 5 Into thine hand I do commit my sprite which came from thee O LORD who art the GOD of trutâ— thou hast redeemed me verse 6 I have them hated with my heart that in their wayes unjust Still lying vanities regard but in the LORD I trust verse 7 I in thy mercy will rejoice for thou my miseries Considered hast and known my fouâ— in great adversities verse 8 And hast not shut me up into his hand that is my foe Thou hast my feet most freely set in a large rowm to goe verse 9 Have mercy upon me O Lord for in trouble am I Mine eye with grief consum'd is my soul and my belly verse 10 For my whole life with grief is spâ— and yeers with sighs and grones My strength doth fail and for my sinâ— consumed are my bones verse 11 I a reproach was to my foes to neighbours speciallie And to mine acquaintance a fear who saw me fled from me verse 12 I am forgoten as a man that 's out of minde and dead also like a vessell am that 's broken all indeed verse 13 Of many I the slander heard each where me fear supprisde While they took counsell they my life to take away devisde But I O Lord in thee alwayes did trust with all my heart And the in great confidence mine only God thou art â— yea times are in thy hand now from â—y foes hands set me free And froÌ„ all them who with great rage are persecuting me Thy glorious face to shine upon thy servant brightly make And save me in my troubles great ev'n for thy mercies sake verse 17 Let me not be asham'd O Lorâ— for on thee call'd I have Let wicked men be all asham'd and silent in the grave verse 18 All lying lips to silence put which greevous things do speâ— Both proudly and contemptuously ' gainst righteous men and meek verse 19 How great 's thy goodnes which â— laid up for who thee fear And wrought for theÌ„ that in thee â— before mens children here verse 20 Thou shalt them in the secret hiâ— of thy presence from wrongs Of mans pride and close in a tent them keep from strife of tongue verse 21 For ever blessed be the Lord for he to me so long Hath shew'd his kindnesse marvelâ— within a citie strong verse 22 For I said in my hast I am cut off before thine eye Neverthelesse thou heardst my voice when I cri'd unto thee verse 23 O love the Lord all ye his Saints for God the faithfull guards

XCII TO give thanks to the Lord it is a good and comely thing And to thy Name O thou most High due praises al 's to sing verse 2 Thy loving kindnes to shew foorth in the first morning light And to declare thy faithfulnesse with gladnesse every night verse 3 Upon an instrument most sweet of ten strings that rebound And on the Psaltrie and upon the Harp with solemne sound verse 4 For thou Lord now hast through thy work me glad made ev'ry way I in the great works of thy hands will still triumph alway verse 5 Thy thoghts are very deep how great are the works of thy hand verse 6 brutish man not knows nor doth a fool this understand verse 7 When wicked men even as the grasse spring in prosperitie When all those flourish more or lesse that work iniquitie It is that they for ever shall destroyed be therefore verse 8 But thou Lord always mighty art most high for ever more verse 9 For loe thine enmies Lord for loe thine enmies perish shall The workers of iniquitie they shall be scattred all verse 10 But thou my horn like th'Unicorns shall still exalt

XCVII THe Lord doth reigne let all the earth now to rejoice be made And let the multitude of Isles thereof be alwayes glad verse 2 With darknesse clouds are him about judgement and righteousnesse Are the fair habitation of his throne of holinesse verse 3 A kindled fire goes him before most brightly shining out And up his wicked enmies all it burneth round about verse 4 His lightnings which doe brightly shine the world both far and neer Inlightned all the earth them saw and trembled all for fear verse 5 At GODS presence the hills like wax did melt and fall anone Even at the presence of the LORD who rules the earth alone verse 6 The heav'ns above his righteousnes most clearly do declare And all the people of the earth still see his glory rare verse 7 Who graven images do serve let them confounded be And who themselves of idols boast all gods him worship ye verse 8 It Sion heard and was most glâ—â— and al 's with one accord Then Judahs daughters did rejoice for thy judgements O LORD verse 9 For thou Lord high above all aâ—â— that on the earth now be Thou art exalted far above all gods in majestie verse 10 Hate ill all ye that love the 〈◊〉 his Saints souls in the land He doth preserve he saveth them out of the wickeds hand verse 11 For all those that now righteouâ— is sown a joyfull light And gladnesse also for all those that are in heart upright verse 12 Ye righteous in the Lord rejoiâ— and give without delay Due thanks at the remembrance â— his Holinesse alway PSAL. XCVIII O Sing a new song to the LORD who hath done wonders great His right hand and his holy arme him victory did get verse 2 The Lord hath in his mercy great made his salvation known In heathens sight his righteousnesse he openlie hath shown verse 3 His mercy he remembred hath and truth to Israel The ends of all the earth have seen our GODS salvation well verse 4 O all the earth unto the LORD a joyfull noise now raise Yea make a loud noise and rejoice and gladly all sing praise verse 5 Unto the Lord now with the harp sing sweetly and rejoice Yea with the harp and also with a psalme in pleasant voice verse 6 With trumpets that most pleasant are the sound of cornets bring Together make a joyfull noise before the Lord the King verse 7 Al 's with its fulnesse let the sea most gladly roar and swell The world likewise that is most large and they that therein dwell verse 8 Now let the floods al clap their hands let hils rejoice together verse 9 Before the Lord for he doth come to judge the earth for ever With righteousnesse the world he shall judge as all men shall see And all the people of the earth also with equitie PSAL. CXXI â—'Le lift mine eyes up to the hills from whence my help coms foorth My help all cometh from the Lord which made both heav'n and earth Thy foot he will not suffer to be moved any way â—e that thee safely keepeth still not slumbers night nor day Behold he that keeps Israel not slumber shall or sleep The Lord 's thy shade on thy right haÌ„d the Lord thee safe doth keep The Sun shal not thee smile by day nor Moone by night at all verse 7 GOD from all ill thee shal preserve thy soul preserve he shall verse 8 Thy going out and coming in the LORD whom we adore Shal wel preserve from this time for and ev'n for evermore PSAL. CXXII I Was most glade when they to me said all with one accord Now let us go unto the house of the Almighty LORD verse 2 Jerusalem within thy gates our feet shall stand for ever verse 3 As a citie Jerusalem is built compact together verse 4 Whether the tribes go up the tribe which GOD for his doth claime To Israls testimonie there to thank the LORDS great name verse 5 For there of judgement thrones arâ— seâ— for Davids house that be verse 6 Pray for the peace of Salem they shall prosper that love thee verse 7 Let happie peace within thy wals at all times stedfast be And in thy pleasant palaces still great prosperitie For my belov'd companions sakes and brethren dear I will â—ow gladly say with all my heart Peace be within thee still

CXLV O Thou who art my God King I will extoll thy fame â—â—r ever and for ever I will blesse thy holy Name Ev'n ev'ry day I live on earth I with thy saints together â—ill still thee blesse and praise I will thy Name for ever and ever Great is the Lord and greatly to be praisd by great and small And his excellent greatnesse is unsearchable to all verse 4 One generation still shall praise thy works unto another And clearly also shall declare thy mighty acts together verse 5 I of the glorious honour of thy divine Majestie Will alwayes speak and of thy wâ— that still most wondrous be verse 6 And of thy acts most terrible men shall speak of the might And I likewise thy greatnesse will declare with heart upright verse 7 They utter shall aboundantly of thy great goodnesse all The memorie of thy righteousneâ— most sweetly sing they shall verse 6 The LORD is gracious and full compassion ev'ry way To anger slow and also is of mercy great alway verse 9 The LORD his goodnes doth exâ— unto both great and small â—is tender mercies alwayes are his works ev'n over all Thy works al shal thee praise O Lord thy Saints shall blesse thee all Thy kingdoms glory tell shall they of thy might talk they shall To make known to the sons of men his acts that mighty be â—â—d of his kingdome excellent the glorious Majestie An everlasting kingdome is thy Kingdome firme and sure 〈◊〉 thy dominion always doth through ages all endure By his almighty hand the LORD upholdeth all that fall â—â—d those that low be bowed down up high he raiseth all The eyes of all things on the earth wait on thee as is meet â—â—d in due season always thou giv'st unto them their meat verse 16 Thy hand thou op'nest very wide great blessings for to bring And the desire dost satisfie of every living thing verse 17 The LORD is ever righteous still in all wayes that are his And also he in all his works most truely holy is verse 18 The LORD to all that call on him is nigh in ev'ry part Even to all those that on him call in truth with all their heart verse 19 The good desire he will fulfill of them that do him fear He will them save he also will their cry in trouble hear verse 20 The Lord preserves them who 〈…〉 that nothing them anoy But all the wicked in his wrath he surely will destroy verse 21 The praise of the Almighty Lorâ— my mouth shall still proclame And let all flesh for evermore still blesse his holy Name PSAL.
