may_v gain_v afterward_o the_o more_o credit_n to_o his_o lie_n and_o therefore_o it_o can_v be_v no_o doubt_n but_o that_o the_o devil_n desire_v not_o to_o be_v repute_v a_o liar_n and_o will_v glad_o put_v off_o from_o he_o all_o such_o imputation_n if_o by_o any_o trick_n he_o can_v devise_v how_o to_o effect_v it_o now_o lay_v these_o two_o position_n together_o first_o that_o the_o devil_n want_v no_o wit_n to_o devise_v reservation_n and_o second_o that_o he_o want_v no_o will_n by_o this_o or_o any_o other_o such_o device_n to_o avoid_v the_o discredit_n of_o a_o liar_n and_o then_o it_o will_v follow_v that_o in_o reason_n we_o can_v imagine_v that_o the_o devil_n ever_o will_v or_o do_v tell_v a_o lie_n if_o by_o a_o equivocal_a reservation_n he_o can_v clear_v himself_o and_o hence_o again_o it_o may_v be_v deduce_v that_o as_o our_o equivocator_n do_v challenge_v we_o for_o slander_v they_o because_o we_o call_v they_o liar_n when_o they_o swear_v falsehood_n by_o imagine_a reservation_n so_o the_o devil_n himself_o may_v challenge_v god_n be_v it_o
speak_v with_o reverence_n to_o his_o majesty_n for_o injustice_n and_o slander_n because_o he_o have_v brand_v he_o with_o the_o note_n of_o a_o liar_n and_o call_v he_o the_o father_n of_o lie_n doctor_n do_v not_o only_o practice_v this_o deceit_n but_o praise_v it_o too_o and_o commend_v it_o to_o their_o disciple_n as_o a_o good_a art_n very_o fit_a foâ—_n scrupulous_a conscience_n which_o
