read_v of_o wrath_n and_o woe_n it_o belong_v to_o i_o to_o have_v not_o one_o of_o my_o prayer_n or_o any_o thing_n else_o accept_v of_o the_o lord_n to_o be_v in_o a_o condition_n of_o expect_v nothing_o from_o jesus_n christ_n at_o his_o come_n but_o go_v you_o curse_v when_o i_o shall_v see_v so_o many_o bless_a soul_n that_o take_v pain_n for_o heaven_n enter_v into_o the_o kingdom_n serious_a for_o once_o and_o ponder_v it_o in_o thy_o heart_n what_o be_v health_n or_o wealth_n what_o be_v it_o to_o have_v something_o about_o thou_o in_o the_o world_n &_o lie_v up_o yearly_o &_o thou_o go_v deep_o in_o debt_n with_o the_o just_a god_n every_o day_n what_o if_o all_o the_o world_n be_v at_o peace_n with_o thou_o and_o god_n thy_o enemy_n and_o hate_v thou_o as_o thou_o have_v be_v show_v what_o if_o all_o the_o world_n say_v of_o thou_o bless_a if_o god_n and_o his_o holy_a word_n of_o truth_n pronounce_v thou_o curse_v because_o thy_o sin_n lie_v upon_o thy_o soul_n and_o the_o spirit_n of_o grace_n be_v not_o upon_o thou_o ah_o poor_a creature_n do_v not_o do_v not_o let_v thy_o sin_n lie_v upon_o thy_o precious_a soul_n any_o long_o do_v not_o be_v content_v to_o hell_n you_o that_o think_v it_o a_o easy_a common_a matter_n to_o be_v pardon_v know_v not_o what_o it_o be_v you_o have_v yet_o no_o part_n in_o this_o blessedness_n say_v a_o poor_a convince_a soul_n 1._o it_o be_v a_o great_a matter_n that_o any_o sinner_n in_o the_o world_n be_v pardon_v much_o more_o such_o a_o one_o as_o i_o if_o ever_o i_o attain_v to_o it_o 2._o soul_n that_o get_v pardon_n do_v make_v it_o their_o great_a care_n to_o be_v assure_v of_o it_o they_o do_v not_o leave_v the_o matter_n at_o six_o and_o seven_o and_o put_v it_o off_o with_o bid_v the_o heart_n hope_v well_o but_o they_o labour_v after_o a_o gospel_n assurance_n of_o it_o 3._o such_o soul_n will_v labour_v to_o see_v that_o nothing_o be_v want_v that_o must_v accompany_v pardon_n of_o sin_n and_o a_o state_n of_o salvation_n heb._n 6.9_o 4._o they_o try_v all_o their_o pretence_n to_o pardon_n and_o grace_n over_o and_o over_o and_o will_v take_v nothing_o upon_o trust_n from_o their_o heart_n or_o the_o devil_n flattery_n or_o the_o flattery_n of_o carnal_a minister_n but_o search_n and_o prove_v and_o lay_v their_o heart_n under_o the_o word_n and_o spirit_n till_o it_o be_v seal_v by_o the_o holy_a ghost_n and_o that_o they_o be_v wrought_v of_o god_n for_o this_o self_n same_o thing_n and_o that_o he_o have_v give_v they_o the_o earnest_a of_o the_o spirit_n 2_o cor._n 5.5_o well_o therefore_o say_v in_o thy_o heart_n in_o good_a earnest_n oh_o it_o have_v not_o be_v so_o with_o i_o i_o have_v be_v careless_a i_o think_v well_o of_o myself_o i_o never_o question_v this_o weighty_a matter_n to_o purpose_n oh_o the_o lord_n give_v i_o grace_n to_o take_v pain_n in_o the_o use_n of_o mean_n to_o be_v violent_a for_o heaven_n oh_o i_o will_v not_o rest_v oh_o let_v i_o not_o till_o i_o be_o assure_v indeed_o that_o my_o my_o sin_n be_v do_v away_o and_o christ_n be_v i_o go_v and_o say_v and_o do_v it_o and_o the_o god_n of_o all_o grace_n and_o may_v be_v with_o thou_o in_o it_o but_o yet_o further_o to_o press_v the_o weight_n of_o this_o matter_n upon_o thy_o conscience_n that_o thou_o may_v go_v off_o thorough_o convince_v and_o resolve_v to_o pursue_v effectual_o the_o compass_v of_o this_o so_o

heart_n we_o shall_v come_v to_o a_o issue_n in_o the_o point_n mark_v that_o word_n gal._n 3.12_o curse_a be_v every_o one_o that_o continue_v not_o in_o all_o thing_n which_o be_v write_v in_o the_o law_n to_o do_v they_o i_o think_v i_o open_v this_o place_n late_o but_o mark_v it_o well_o the_o law_n require_v of_o every_o one_o and_o therefore_o of_o thou_o who_o ever_o thou_o be_v a_o continuance_n without_o intermission_n of_o do_v not_o only_o purpose_v and_o endeavour_v all_o thing_n not_o keep_v nine_o and_o break_v one_o commandment_n not_o keep_v it_o outward_o and_o break_v it_o in_o thy_o thought_n of_o sin_n but_o in_o all_o thing_n or_o curse_v without_o remedy_n by_o the_o law_n the_o law_n can_v give_v you_o no_o remedy_n see_v rom._n 10.5_o for_o moses_n describe_v may_v do_v towards_o fulfil_v it_o i_o instance_a before_n if_o a_o man_n that_o live_v under_o the_o law_n of_o england_n all_o the_o law_n of_o it_o and_o he_o be_v find_v a_o transgressor_n of_o judge_n you_o must_v die_v for_o this_o so_o as_o i_o have_v show_v the_o law_n pronounce_v death_n to_o the_o breach_n of_o any_o one_o commandment_n any_o part_n of_o one_o as_o well_o as_o to_o the_o breach_n of_o the_o whole_a therefore_o he_o that_o plead_v as_o the_o pharisee_n do_v and_o be_v never_o the_o more_o accept_v that_o he_o be_v no_o murderer_n no_o blasphemer_n no_o thief_n no_o adulterer_n it_o be_v all_o one_o if_o thou_o have_v ever_o have_v a_o unholy_a thought_n in_o thy_o heart_n as_o thou_o have_v have_v thousand_o as_o thou_o be_v under_o the_o law_n thou_o be_v condemn_v if_o this_o indeed_o have_v be_v the_o tenor_n of_o the_o law_n as_o it_o be_v a_o covenant_n between_o god_n and_o the_o first_o adam_n that_o if_o thou_o and_o thy_o posterity_n shall_v performance_n of_o any_o regenerate_a soul_n in_o the_o world_n which_o he_o be_v sensible_a of_o but_o i_o be_o deal_v with_o the_o natural_a man_n as_o to_o his_o opinion_n of_o his_o good_a keep_v the_o law_n i_o say_v there_o be_v nothing_o but_o sin_n in_o their_o performance_n the_o principle_n they_o proceed_v from_o be_v whole_o sinful_a viz._n a_o corrupt_a pollute_a heart_n and_o nature_n can_v a_o corrupt_a tree_n bring_v forth_o good_a fruit_n mat._n 7.18_o can_v a_o corrupt_a fountain_n send_v forth_o sweet_a water_n jam._n 3.11_o no_o more_o can_v a_o corrupt_v defile_v heart_n bring_v forth_o any_o duty_n or_o work_n but_o what_o be_v loathsome_a to_o god_n full_a of_o all_o impurity_n this_o a_o natural_a man_n be_v not_o able_a to_o see_v nor_o consider_v of_o till_o convince_v by_o the_o holy_a ghost_n and_o therefore_o it_o be_v that_o he_o rest_v only_o in_o perform_v the_o matter_n and_o bulk_n of_o duty_n to_o god_n and_o his_o neighbour_n but_o with_o what_o heart_n and_o the_o unholinesse_n of_o it_o he_o weight_v not_o upon_o this_o account_n it_o be_v that_o the_o scripture_n speak_v at_o such_o a_o rate_n of_o natural_a man_n that_o they_o be_v a_o abomination_n to_o the_o lord_n prov._n 15.8_o that_o his_o soul_n hate_v they_o he_o can_v away_o with_o they_o they_o be_v iniquity_n they_o be_v a_o trouble_n to_o he_o isay_n 1_o and_o that_o he_o cast_v they_o back_o as_o dung_n upon_o their_o face_n mal._n 2.3_o therefore_o if_o there_o be_v more_o than_o sin_n enough_o in_o that_o best_a keep_v of_o the_o law_n towards_o god_n or_o man_n to_o damn_v a_o soul_n for_o ever_o certain_o a_o soul_n shall_v be_v never_o the_o better_a nor_o at_o all_o accept_v for_o such_o a_o keep_n of_o it_o that_o which_o in_o itself_o have_v sin_n nothing_o but_o sin_n in_o the_o manner_n of_o it_o can_v be_v a_o mean_n to_o quit_v a_o soul_n from_o other_o sin_n by_o which_o he_o have_v bring_v guilt_n upon_o himself_o let_v this_o be_v well_o consider_v and_o nothing_o but_o a_o christ_n will_v be_v your_o cry_n to_o purpose_n indeed_o 4._o the_o four_o reason_n or_o convincement_n of_o this_o truth_n that_o the_o best_a endeavour_n to_o keep_v the_o law_n will_v not_o give_v you_o more_o acceptance_n with_o god_n nor_o take_v away_o any_o guilt_n from_o off_o the_o soul_n be_v because_o such_o duty_n and_o keep_v the_o law_n be_v but_o of_o the_o outward_a man_n which_o be_v far_o from_o reach_v the_o compass_n of_o the_o law_n the_o law_n be_v spiritual_a rom._n 7.14_o that_o be_v it_o reach_v to_o the_o inward_a part_n to_o
