we_o have_v first_o a_o encouragement_n to_o god_n minister_n in_o case_n their_o ministry_n be_v reject_v and_o second_o a_o dreadful_a denunciation_n against_o those_o that_o shall_v reject_v the_o gospel_n first_o the_o encouragement_n of_o the_o minister_n of_o god_n in_o case_n their_o ministry_n be_v reject_v let_v it_o return_v to_o you_o again_o in_o this_o we_o have_v these_o two_o thing_n first_o that_o when_o any_o minister_n preach_v christ_n to_o a_o people_n if_o the_o people_n get_v no_o good_a by_o his_o preach_v yet_o he_o shall_v have_v the_o benefit_n of_o it_o upon_o his_o own_o soul_n that_o be_v the_o first_o let_v it_o return_v to_o you_o again_o if_o they_o will_v not_o embrace_v it_o so_o as_o to_o have_v the_o good_a and_o benefit_n of_o it_o to_o they_o in_o a_o help_n o_o religion_n be_v of_o admirable_a use_n grace_n and_o godliness_n be_v of_o other_o manner_n of_o use_n then_o the_o world_n think_v for_o and_o as_o it_o be_v of_o use_n to_o all_o so_o it_o be_v above_o all_o to_o rich_a man_n o_o that_o rich_a man_n will_v believe_v this_o that_o they_o have_v the_o great_a need_n of_o grace_n o_o that_o rich_a man_n by_o this_o will_v learn_v to_o be_v in_o love_n with_o godliness_n and_o with_o those_o mean_n that_o may_v work_v grace_n upon_o they_o because_o there_o be_v nothing_o can_v do_v they_o so_o much_o good_a as_o religion_n o_o if_o grace_n be_v answerable_a to_o their_o estate_n than_o they_o be_v happy_a man_n indeed_o if_o the_o lord_n please_v to_o add_v his_o upper_a spring_n to_o the_o nether_a spring_n than_o they_o be_v happy_a creature_n god_n give_v you_o abundance_n in_o the_o nether_a spring_n but_o do_v he_o give_v you_o the_o upper_a spring_n too_o o_o have_v thy_o thought_n work_v thus_o the_o lord_n have_v give_v i_o enough_o for_o this_o world_n to_o carry_v i_o through_o this_o pilgrimage_n of_o i_o o_o but_o have_v i_o grace_v add_v to_o all_o that_o i_o have_v than_o i_o shall_v be_v a_o happy_a man_n indeed_o o_o learn_v to_o know_v the_o excellency_n of_o grace_n and_o what_o need_v you_o have_v of_o it_o above_o other_o man_n three_o hence_o upon_o what_o we_o hear_v i_o think_v all_o our_o desire_n shall_v be_v moderate_v in_o respect_n of_o this_o world_n and_o you_o poor_a people_n you_o shall_v not_o be_v so_o much_o trouble_v for_o want_n of_o abundance_n for_o you_o in_o this_o i_o see_v there_o be_v a_o great_a deal_n of_o difficulty_n in_o know_v how_o to_o use_v thing_n and_o therefore_o let_v i_o be_v more_o moderate_a in_o my_o desire_n after_o abundance_n and_o four_o you_o
they_o they_o shall_v be_v exceed_a gainer_n your_o peace_n shall_v abide_v upon_o they_o but_o if_o not_o if_o there_o be_v any_o that_o be_v not_o appoint_v to_o it_o or_o that_o attend_v not_o upon_o it_o that_o be_v not_o obedient_a unto_o it_o then_o your_o peace_n shall_v turn_v to_o you_o again_o what_o be_v that_o that_o be_v first_o this_o be_v by_o way_n of_o encouragement_n unto_o the_o disciple_n and_o second_o by_o way_n of_o threaten_v unto_o those_o that_o shall_v reject_v the_o offer_n of_o the_o gospel_n first_o to_o the_o disciple_n two_o way_n first_o though_o their_o peace_n be_v it_o shall_v return_v to_o you_o that_o be_v it_o shall_v be_v of_o as_o much_o vigour_n strength_n power_n and_o efficacy_n to_o be_v carry_v to_o other_o as_o it_o be_v at_o the_o first_o they_o may_v think_v thus_o if_o we_o do_v go_v and_o preach_v to_o a_o people_n and_o shall_v be_v reject_v than_o our_o ministry_n be_v like_a to_o be_v vile_a for_o if_o one_o shall_v reject_v we_o it_o be_v like_o another_o will_n it_o be_v so_o indeed_o in_o matter_n of_o the_o world_n if_o a_o worldly_a business_n receive_v any_o foil_n in_o one_o it_o be_v more_o like_a to_o receive_v a_o foil_n in_o another_o but_o say_v christ_n be_v not_o you_o trouble_v about_o this_o but_o if_o you_o shall_v preach_v to_o any_o people_n where_o you_o shall_v have_v any_o to_o reject_v your_o ministry_n it_o shall_v return_v to_o you_o again_o it_o shall_v have_v as_o much_o efficacy_n and_o power_n as_o if_o it_o never_o have_v be_v reject_v when_o you_o go_v to_o carry_v it_o to_o another_o people_n whatsoever_o disrespect_n be_v cast_v upon_o the_o minister_n or_o upon_o their_o ministry_n yet_o as_o the_o apostle_n say_v the_o word_n of_o god_n be_v not_o bind_v though_o we_o be_v bind_v though_o the_o ministry_n prevail_v not_o in_o one_o people_n yet_o it_o retain_v the_o power_n of_o it_o as_o much_o as_o if_o it_o have_v never_o be_v reject_v and_o as_o for_o those_o that_o do_v reject_v it_o let_v they_o know_v first_o that_o they_o shall_v have_v no_o blessing_n of_o that_o peace_n second_o let_v they_o know_v that_o it_o shall_v not_o continue_v long_o among_o they_o no_o not_o in_o the_o ministry_n of_o it_o but_o that_o god_n will_v deal_v very_o quick_a with_o they_o for_o if_o they_o will_v not_o receive_v it_o it_o shall_v return_v to_o the_o gospel_n ought_v to_o be_v man_n of_o gentle_a and_o fair_a love_v disposition_n first_o say_v peace_n be_v to_o this_o house_n observe_v 2._o that_o minister_n of_o the_o gospel_n aught_o to_o bless_v the_o people_n among_o who_o they_o come_v say_v peace_n be_v to_o they_o observe_v 3._o the_o great_a errand_n and_o business_n a_o minister_n come_v about_o to_o a_o people_n it_o be_v to_o bring_v peace_n to_o they_o observe_v 4._o that_o a_o minister_n have_v warrant_n and_o commission_n to_o offer_v peace_n to_o any_o place_n wheresoever_o he_o come_v let_v they_o be_v what_o they_o will_v be_v he_o have_v a_o commission_n from_o christ_n to_o offer_v peace_n to_o they_o observe_v 5._o that_o the_o first_o thing_n a_o minister_n be_v to_o do_v in_o his_o preach_v it_o be_v to_o offer_v peace_n first_o say_v peace_n before_o any_o thing_n else_o and_o these_o be_v the_o five_o note_n of_o observation_n from_o ver._n 5._o now_o then_o from_o ver._n 6._o and_o if_o the_o son_n of_o peace_n be_v there_o from_o hence_o there_o be_v this_o observe_v 1._o first_o note_v that_o when_o god_n send_v the_o minister_n of_o the_o gospel_n unto_o a_o place_n it_o be_v very_o probable_a that_o there_o be_v some_o appoint_v for_o the_o good_a of_o it_o that_o there_o will_v be_v some_o son_n of_o peace_n there_o observe_v 2._o that_o those_o that_o do_v entertain_v the_o gospel_n they_o be_v the_o son_n of_o peace_n obser_n 3._o whosoever_o be_v son_n of_o peace_n shall_v certain_o have_v all_o the_o blessing_n of_o the_o peace_n of_o the_o gospel_n to_o rest_v upon_o they_o obser_n 4._o yet_o sometime_o where_o god_n send_v the_o ministry_n of_o the_o word_n it_o be_v reject_v if_o not_o and_o god_n minister_n must_v expect_v it_o obser_n 5._o wheresoever_o it_o be_v reject_v those_o certain_o be_v deprive_v of_o the_o benefit_n of_o the_o gospel_n if_o not_o it_o shall_v return_v to_o you_o again_o observe_v 6._o that_o those_o that_o be_v faithful_a minister_n shall_v not_o lose_v their_o labour_n though_o they_o shall_v not_o convert_v soul_n to_o god_n it_o shall_v return_v observe_v 7._o and_o then_o last_o those_o that_o shall_v reject_v the_o gospel_n be_v not_o like_a to_o enjoy_v it_o long_o god_n will_v deal_v with_o they_o very_o quick_a if_o not_o your_o peace_n shall_v return_v to_o you_o again_o and_o there_o be_v a_o end_n of_o they_o sai_z god_n these_o be_v the_o several_a note_n of_o observation_n out_o of_o this_o direction_n of_o christ_n to_o the_o disciple_n for_o their_o preach_v and_o into_o whatsoever_o house_n you_o enter_v first_o say_v peace_n be_v to_o that_o house_n first_o you_o see_v how_o minister_n of_o the_o gospel_n shall_v come_v to_o a_o place_n with_o gentleness_n and_o cheerfulness_n and_o manifest_v a_o sweetness_n of_o spirit_n in_o come_v to_o any_o place_n and_o so_o to_o gain_v upon_o people_n that_o way_n in_o leu._n 24_o 2._o the_o lamp_n in_o the_o temple_n be_v to_o be_v of_o pure_a oil_n olive_n beat_v to_o note_v that_o the_o light_n that_o god_n set_v up_o in_o his_o church_n shall_v be_v of_o peaceable_a and_o gentle_a spirit_n of_o sweet_a spirit_n you_o know_v that_o the_o olive_n it_o be_v the_o emblem_n of_o peace_n and_o sweetness_n so_o in_o rev._n 12._o 4._o the_o two_o witness_n there_o which_o especial_o be_v the_o minister_n of_o the_o gospel_n of_o peaceable_a and_o gentle_a and_o love_a disposition_n so_o we_o find_v that_o the_o apostle_n st._n paul_n say_v concern_v himself_o 1_o thes_n 2._o 7._o but_o we_o be_v gentle_a among_o you_o come_v among_o they_o but_o 3._o three_o minister_n be_v to_o bring_v the_o message_n of_o peace_n to_o a_o people_n the_o great_a errand_n that_o a_o minister_n of_o the_o gospel_n come_v about_o it_o be_v to_o bring_v peace_n it_o be_v to_o be_v a_o messenger_n of_o peace_n unto_o you_o and_o indeed_o the_o ministry_n of_o the_o gospel_n do_v many_o time_n bring_v outward_a peace_n unto_o a_o people_n when_o be_v there_o ever_o a_o kingdom_n upon_o the_o face_n of_o the_o earth_n that_o have_v have_v long_o continuance_n of_o outward_a peace_n than_o england_n have_v have_v and_o the_o the_o ministry_n of_o the_o word_n bring_v you_o outward_a peace_n many_o time_n yet_o the_o main_a thing_n it_o be_v to_o bring_v be_v spiritual_a peace_n peace_n be_v to_o you_o as_o if_o the_o be_v to_o show_v you_o what_o your_o miserable_a condition_n be_v yet_o it_o be_v in_o order_n to_o this_o still_o to_o bring_v peace_n to_o your_o soul_n and_o indeed_o all_o faithful_a minister_n be_v careful_a of_o this_o to_o show_v at_o the_o very_a first_o what_o their_o scope_n be_v it_o be_v to_o bring_v they_o to_o life_n and_o salvation_n but_o that_o in_o the_o next_o point_n but_o this_o certain_o aught_o to_o be_v their_o scope_n whatsoever_o be_v preach_v it_o must_v aim_v at_o the_o great_a treaty_n between_o god_n and_o their_o soul_n for_o reconciliation_n our_o scope_n when_o we_o come_v to_o preach_v unto_o you_o it_o be_v not_o so_o much_o to_o civilise_v you_o to_o inveigh_v against_o notorious_a cry_a sin_n drunkard_n and_o whoremaster_n and_o thief_n and_o blasphemer_n though_o according_a as_o we_o meet_v with_o these_o thing_n in_o the_o road_n we_o be_v to_o speak_v against_o they_o but_o suppose_v we_o shall_v cry_v out_o against_o these_o sin_n it_o then_o what_o a_o honourable_a work_n be_v this_o to_o set_v man_n about_o and_o the_o truth_n be_v it_o be_v in_o some_o regard_n a_o more_o honourable_a work_n than_o ever_o angel_n be_v send_v about_o god_n do_v not_o send_v the_o angel_n about_o this_o work_n to_o treat_v with_o mankind_n about_o term_n of_o peace_n with_o god_n they_o be_v make_v minister_a spirit_n for_o the_o good_a of_o god_n elect_n and_o be_v make_v by_o god_n to_o be_v executioner_n against_o wicked_a man_n but_o we_o never_o read_v that_o god_n have_v commit_v the_o word_n of_o reconciliation_n to_o angel_n god_n have_v not_o appoint_v they_o to_o be_v the_o preacher_n of_o peace_n to_o people_n therefore_o it_o be_v the_o most_o honourable_a work_n that_o ever_o creature_n be_v set_v about_o to_o come_v to_o a_o place_n and_o say_v peace_n be_v to_o this_o place_n in_o the_o name_n of_o god_n and_o be_v it_o be_v such_o a_o work_n as_o this_o o_o how_o detestable_a and_o vile_a and_o curse_v be_v laziness_n or_o idleness_n in_o any_o one_o that_o shall_v profess_v himself_o a_o minister_n of_o the_o gospel_n what_o come_v about_o such_o a_o work_n as_o this_o to_o be_v a_o ambassador_n of_o reconciliation_n from_o the_o great_a god_n of_o heaven_n and_o earth_n o_o he_o shall_v have_v his_o heart_n and_o thought_n take_v up_o about_o this_o night_n and_o day_n he_o shall_v be_v study_v how_o he_o shall_v manage_v this_o great_a work_n that_o god_n send_v he_o about_o to_o poor_a people_n and_o o_o how_o acceptable_a shall_v the_o ministry_n of_o the_o gospel_n be_v unto_o you_o
