convince_a of_o man_n in_o their_o natural_a condition_n than_o ever_o christ_n or_o his_o apostle_n do_v and_o to_o prove_v this_o by_o scripture_n light_n as_o he_o call_v it_o he_o name_v 2_o tim._n 4.23_o but_o here_o he_o be_v not_o in_o the_o light_n of_o the_o scripture_n his_o own_o language_n for_o there_o be_v not_o such_o a_o verse_n as_o he_o have_v name_v and_o so_o he_o be_v here_o shut_v up_o and_o let_v his_o mouth_n be_v for_o ever_o stop_v in_o his_o ignorance_n and_o blindness_n who_o be_v charge_v a_o generation_n of_o man_n with_o hold_v forth_o some_o strange_a doctrine_n contrary_a to_o christ_n and_o his_o apostle_n and_o have_v no_o testimony_n to_o what_o he_o say_v and_o yet_o he_o tell_v we_o he_o be_v a_o labourer_n in_o a_o good_a vineyard_n and_o that_o he_o know_v the_o enemy_n now_o rage_v more_o by_o delusion_n then_o by_o open_a persecution_n these_o be_v the_o day_n in_o which_o if_o it_o be_v possible_a to_o deceive_v the_o very_a need_v not_o be_v multiply_v to_o manifest_a truth_n for_o it_o stand_v not_o in_o word_n but_o in_o power_n though_o much_o thou_o have_v lay_v together_o in_o thy_o book_n as_o if_o truth_n do_v consist_v or_o stand_v in_o many_o invention_n i_o be_o move_v of_o the_o lord_n to_o tell_v thou_o and_o all_o people_n that_o the_o lord_n be_v rise_v to_o overturn_v all_o the_o invention_n and_o imagination_n of_o man_n and_o all_o false_a way_n and_o worship_n which_o be_v not_o in_o spirit_n and_o truth_n and_o they_o shall_v fall_v and_o come_v to_o nought_o though_o never_o so_o strong_o contend_v for_o but_o that_o which_o be_v of_o god_n shall_v stand_v thy_o other_o particular_n i_o shall_v here_o lay_v down_o as_o in_o thy_o wisdom_n thou_o have_v draw_v they_o forth_o 1._o thou_o and_o hold_v fast_o that_o which_o be_v good_a for_o these_o be_v perilous_a day_n man_n be_v lover_n of_o themselves_o covetous_a proud_a boaster_n curse_a speaker_n lover_n of_o pleasure_n more_o than_o lover_n of_o god_n who_o have_v a_o show_n of_o godliness_n but_o deny_v the_o power_n thereof_o from_o such_o turn_n away_o for_o they_o resist_v the_o truth_n and_o be_v man_n of_o corrupt_a they_o and_o wolf_n they_o do_v appear_v to_o be_v their_o work_n be_v try_v of_o what_o sort_n it_o be_v and_o their_o foundation_n prove_v sandy_a and_o their_o building_n hey_n and_o stubble_n therefore_o be_v not_o toss_v up_o and_o down_o with_o every_o wind_n of_o doctrine_n for_o form_n without_o power_n will_v not_o save_v you_o nor_o can_v the_o letter_n without_o the_o life_n give_v transgression_n either_o by_o thought_n word_n or_o deed_n i_o be_o make_v to_o speak_v plain_o to_o manifest_a truth_n to_o the_o low_a capacity_n that_o all_o moderate_a spirit_n may_v consider_v if_o that_o be_v not_o within_o they_o which_o do_v secret_o reprove_v they_o for_o sin_n and_o evil_n which_o be_v christ_n jesus_n the_o light_n of_o the_o world_n which_o the_o serpentine_a wisdom_n call_v nature_n darkness_n and_o will_v draw_v away_o people_n mind_n from_o it_o because_o it_o do_v discover_v his_o kingdom_n and_o his_o work_n be_v destroy_v by_o it_o for_o this_o end_n be_v the_o son_n of_o god_n make_v manifest_a that_o he_o may_v destroy_v the_o work_n of_o the_o devil_n and_o herein_o be_v god_n love_v tender_v to_o all_o people_n who_o have_v enlighten_v all_o and_o by_o his_o spirit_n strive_v with_o they_o in_o this_o day_n of_o his_o patience_n that_o his_o goodness_n may_v lead_v to_o repentance_n and_o that_o his_o tender_a mercy_n may_v not_o be_v shut_v up_o in_o displeasure_n and_o thus_o do_v he_o wait_v to_o be_v gracious_a and_o make_v manifest_v his_o love_n to_o sinner_n in_o that_o he_o take_v they_o not_o away_o in_o their_o sin_n and_o in_o his_o sore_a displeasure_n but_o give_v they_o several_a visitation_n by_o reproving_n and_o convincement_n in_o their_o own_o conscience_n for_o sin_n and_o disobedience_n that_o they_o may_v turn_v unto_o he_o and_o feel_v his_o love_n open_v as_o a_o fountain_n of_o live_a mercy_n and_o this_o i_o be_o move_v of_o the_o lord_n to_o bear_v my_o testimony_n to_o and_o there_o be_v that_o in_o all_o your_o conscience_n that_o answer_v to_o the_o truth_n of_o it_o unto_o which_o i_o be_o make_v manifest_a which_o be_v the_o witness_n of_o god_n in_o you_o all_o and_o reprove_v you_o all_o who_o be_v in_o your_o sin_n for_o your_o iniquity_n therefore_o i_o be_o make_v to_o exhort_v you_o all_o in_o the_o fear_n of_o the_o lord_n god_n to_o turn_v to_o the_o light_n which_o christ_n have_v enlighten_v you_o withal_o and_o obey_v it_o when_o it_o reprove_v you_o and_o follow_v it_o when_o it_o lead_v you_o and_o go_v before_o you_o so_o shall_v you_o not_o abide_v in_o even_o to_o stir_v up_o your_o mind_n to_o the_o lord_n god_n that_o you_o may_v all_o keep_v stay_v in_o the_o light_n in_o which_o you_o be_v preserve_v in_o perfect_a peace_n though_o the_o sea_n roar_v and_o the_o water_n thereof_o swell_v and_o the_o wave_n beat_v in_o the_o stormy_a tempest_n you_o be_v at_o rest_n in_o your_o desire_a haven_n there_o keep_v by_o the_o power_n of_o the_o lord_n god_n &_o though_o many_o cloud_n arise_v to_o overspread_v and_o darken_v your_o glorious_a day_n so_o as_o to_o make_v your_o sun_n set_v in_o a_o cloud_n yet_o in_o the_o light_n of_o god_n countenance_n do_v you_o walk_v as_o child_n of_o the_o day_n compass_v about_o with_o his_o live_a mercy_n therefore_o all_o keep_v faithful_a to_o the_o lord_n god_n in_o who_o power_n you_o be_v all_o preserve_v and_o watch_v in_o the_o light_n against_o your_o enemy_n for_o he_o work_v as_o subtle_o within_o as_o he_o do_v without_o and_o labour_n to_o draw_v your_o mind_n into_o earthly_a thing_n but_o abide_v you_o in_o your_o father_n house_n where_o the_o bread_n be_v sure_a and_o the_o water_n that_o fail_v not_o wait_v to_o feel_v the_o love_n of_o god_n shed_v abroad_o in_o a_o corrupt_a heart_n have_v thou_o be_v so_o long_o look_v at_o to_o be_v a_o teacher_n of_o other_o and_o now_o bring_v to_o confess_v that_o man_n have_v nothing_o to_o look_v at_o within_o he_o but_o a_o corrupt_a heart_n have_v thou_o then_o minister_v from_o any_o other_o principle_n then_o from_o a_o corrupt_a heart_n for_o shame_n give_v over_o deceive_a people_n and_o tell_v they_o plain_o what_o it_o be_v thou_o take_v counsel_n at_o for_o some_o have_v see_v thou_o and_o withdraw_v from_o thou_o because_o a_o corrupt_a heart_n be_v thy_o counsellor_n which_o lead_v thou_o into_o all_o confusion_n for_o thou_o here_o talk_v of_o a_o disobedient_a natural_a man_n and_o that_o he_o can_v see_v himself_o otherwise_o if_o he_o look_v to_o the_o light_n within_o and_o yet_o thou_o talk_v of_o obedience_n to_o christ_n command_n and_o ordinance_n in_o another_o place_n what_o be_v thy_o obedience_n perform_v in_o to_o christ_n command_n and_o ordinance_n see_v thou_o say_v that_o man_n be_v natural_o disobedient_a and_o his_o heart_n corrupt_v and_o nothing_o else_o to_o be_v look_v at_o within_o he_o then_o have_v not_o the_o prince_n of_o the_o power_n of_o the_o air_n dominion_n over_o thou_o who_o rule_v in_o all_o the_o child_n of_o disobedience_n consider_v thy_o own_o word_n and_o see_v if_o there_o be_v any_o thing_n in_o they_o beside_o airy_a notion_n then_o thou_o say_v but_o if_o they_o will_v say_v they_o have_v no_o communion_n with_o the_o devil_n or_o prince_n of_o the_o air_n than_o thou_o say_v his_o design_n must_v needs_o be_v to_o bring_v they_o to_o consultation_n in_o a_o heart_n that_o be_v deceitful_a and_o desperate_o wicked_a and_o be_v deceitful_a it_o will_v offer_v darkness_n for_o light_n and_o so_o unavoidable_o put_v they_o in_o danger_n of_o be_v deceive_v ans_fw-fr thou_o have_v unvail_v thyself_o to_o all_o the_o child_n of_o light_n who_o read_v thou_o &_o see_v what_o thou_o be_v consult_v with_o who_o deny_v the_o light_n and_o hate_v to_o be_v reform_v by_o it_o and_o despise_v the_o counsel_n of_o it_o though_o it_o stand_v a_o faithful_a witness_n in_o thy_o conscience_n to_o reprove_v thou_o of_o all_o thy_o ungodly_a deed_n which_o in_o the_o darkness_n be_v bring_v forth_o by_o thou_o from_o thy_o wicked_a and_o deceitful_a heart_n which_o thou_o be_v consult_v with_o be_v alienate_v from_o the_o life_n in_o god_n thy_o foolish_a heart_n be_v blind_v by_o the_o prince_n of_o darkness_n who_o have_v dominion_n over_o thou_o receive_v thy_o own_o word_n which_o thou_o have_v lay_v down_o and_o then_o consider_v what_o that_o be_v which_o make_v the_o heart_n manifest_a by_o which_o thou_o come_v to_o see_v the_o heart_n to_o be_v corrupt_v and_o the_o desperate_a wickedness_n of_o it_o and_o the_o danger_n of_o consult_v with_o it_o and_o what_o it_o offer_v in_o that_o state_n submit_v to_o that_o of_o god_n in_o thou_o and_o own_o plainness_n of_o speech_n and_o thou_o can_v not_o deny_v but_o it_o be_v the_o light_n that_o make_v all_o thing_n manifest_a for_o whatsoever_o do_v make_v manifest_a be_v light_n eph._n 5.13_o so_o the_o heart_n be_v within_o people_n the_o light_n which_o make_v it_o manifest_a be_v there_o also_o and_o search_v the_o heart_n through_o all_o the_o corruption_n &_o deceit_n of_o it_o for_o all_o thing_n be_v naked_a and_o bare_a withal_o that_o thou_o may_v come_v to_o the_o knowledge_n of_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n and_o to_o feel_v his_o live_a power_n mortify_v sin_n in_o thou_o and_o create_v a_o clean_a heart_n within_o some_o of_o thy_o folly_n be_v here_o full_o answer_v in_o few_o word_n and_o plainness_n therefore_o silence_n flesh_n and_o contend_v no_o long_o against_o that_o in_o which_o the_o love_n of_o heart_n than_o it_o be_v a_o deceive_v heart_n and_o if_o not_o a_o deceive_a heart_n than_o it_o be_v their_o own_o soul_n how_o blind_o be_v thou_o lead_v from_o all_o light_n and_o truth_n for_o if_o thou_o be_v guide_v by_o the_o light_n of_o christ_n thou_o may_v have_v show_v in_o what_o a_o corrupt_a heart_n and_o a_o deceitful_a heart_n differ_v if_o any_o difference_n be_v and_o what_o the_o soul_n be_v and_o in_o what_o part_n of_o man_n it_o be_v place_v for_o if_o thou_o know_v not_o this_o than_o be_v thou_o whole_o ignorant_a of_o all_o that_o which_o thou_o have_v be_v charge_v a_o generation_n of_o man_n withal_o and_o all_o thy_o imagination_n be_v deny_v and_o thy_o confusion_n and_o stander_n be_v return_v again_o unto_o thou_o as_o dung_n upon_o thy_o face_n then_o thou_o say_v to_o look_v to_o the_o light_n within_o lead_v man_n to_o look_v at_o a_o judgement_n here_o in_o this_o life_n and_o so_o take_v off_o man_n expectation_n from_o eternal_a
