be_v a_o mighty_a work_n to_o save_v a_o soul_n it_o be_v not_o a_o slight_a thing_n for_o a_o soul_n to_o come_v to_o be_v save_v there_o must_v be_v great_a thing_n do_v by_o god_n to_o save_v a_o soul_n many_o people_n they_o confess_v it_o be_v true_a they_o be_v sinner_n but_o they_o cry_v to_o god_n to_o have_v mercy_n on_o they_o and_o so_o they_o think_v it_o be_v present_o do_v but_o do_v you_o consider_v of_o the_o condition_n that_o you_o be_v in_o natural_o and_o of_o the_o righteousness_n of_o god_n you_o will_v then_o conclude_v it_o be_v a_o mighty_a work_n of_o god_n to_o save_v any_o soul_n and_o that_o you_o have_v need_n fall_v upon_o the_o seek_n of_o your_o salvation_n betimes_o and_o then_o three_o hence_o will_v follow_v this_o conclusion_n also_o that_o those_o vain_a thought_n of_o man_n that_o they_o have_v have_v for_o pacify_v their_o conscience_n and_o the_o quiet_v of_o their_o heart_n will_v stand_v they_o in_o no_o stead_n as_o thus_o many_o they_o reason_n thus_o i_o be_o not_o so_o bad_a as_o other_o what_o if_o you_o be_v not_o if_o you_o be_v under_o the_o law_n you_o be_v cast_v a_o thousand_o thousand_o time_n over_o you_o will_v say_v righteous_a god_n thou_o must_v know_v in_o what_o state_n thou_o be_v in_o under_o the_o law_n and_o how_o thou_o be_v cast_v by_o the_o law_n these_o be_v not_o arguing_n that_o can_v bring_v rest_n to_o thy_o soul_n if_o it_o can_v christ_n will_v never_o have_v call_v in_o this_o manner_n but_o you_o must_v know_v that_o such_o be_v your_o condition_n that_o all_o the_o angel_n in_o heaven_n and_o man_n in_o the_o world_n can_v give_v rest_n to_o your_o soul_n and_o if_o you_o do_v understand_v this_o you_o will_v thereby_o go_v away_o convince_v of_o this_o truth_n well_o i_o see_v that_o there_o be_v a_o burden_n upon_o i_o howsoever_o i_o have_v not_o be_v sensible_a of_o it_o and_o it_o be_v such_o a_o burden_n as_o will_v press_v i_o down_o to_o eternal_a misery_n and_o i_o see_v now_o by_o this_o that_o i_o have_v need_n of_o a_o christ_n certain_o if_o congregation_n be_v sensible_a of_o this_o burden_n of_o the_o law_n oh_o how_o will_v their_o soul_n rejoice_v in_o this_o and_o praise_v the_o lord_n that_o their_o ear_n be_v bless_v to_o hear_v such_o a_o sound_n of_o the_o gospel_n as_o this_o come_v to_o i_o and_o i_o will_v give_v you_o rest_v i_o appeal_v to_o you_o whether_o the_o open_n of_o the_o law_n be_v not_o of_o use_n to_o make_v you_o come_v to_o christ_n there_o be_v a_o great_a many_o wanton_a spirit_n that_o call_v those_o minister_n of_o do_v their_o duty_n but_o with_o blow_n and_o slash_n they_o be_v set_v upon_o their_o duty_n now_o this_o be_v very_o burdensome_a if_o indeed_o they_o may_v be_v put_v upon_o it_o with_o love_n gentle_a and_o fair_a carriage_n they_o shall_v do_v as_o much_o as_o they_o do_v with_o a_o great_a deal_n more_o ease_n but_o when_o all_o mean_n that_o be_v use_v be_v rigorous_a and_o forcible_a in_o their_o conscience_n and_o the_o fear_n of_o the_o judgement_n of_o god_n come_v unto_o they_o except_o you_o do_v this_o you_o may_v fear_v that_o the_o judgement_n of_o god_n will_v pursue_v and_o follow_v you_o in_o the_o night_n season_n when_o they_o be_v in_o the_o dark_a they_o be_v fill_v with_o terror_n and_o when_o this_o terror_n come_v upon_o they_o than_o they_o must_v go_v to_o prayer_n though_o they_o have_v no_o mind_n to_o go_v to_o prayer_n for_o their_o conscience_n else_o will_v fly_v in_o their_o face_n in_o the_o day_n time_n these_o be_v just_a like_o the_o child_n of_o israel_n in_o egypt_n the_o task_n master_v put_v they_o upon_o their_o work_n with_o rigour_n that_o their_o very_a life_n be_v tedious_a to_o they_o whereas_o those_o that_o be_v sanctify_v they_o go_v to_o perform_v duty_n out_o of_o love_n and_o so_o their_o duty_n be_v sweet_a and_o delightful_a to_o they_o the_o 6._o burden_n of_o legal_a performance_n 6._o from_o hence_o follow_v that_o those_o that_o be_v mere_o legal_a in_o their_o performance_n they_o do_v their_o duty_n with_o much_o straitness_n of_o spirit_n they_o have_v no_o inlargment_n of_o heart_n usual_o very_o rare_o in_o any_o thing_n they_o do_v but_o they_o do_v it_o if_o they_o do_v do_v it_o in_o a_o dull_a manner_n &_o a_o dead_a way_n mere_o the_o work_n do_v and_o no_o more_o their_o spirit_n be_v exceed_o strait_a pray_v they_o must_v so_o much_o time_n they_o spend_v in_o prayer_n but_o when_o they_o be_v rise_v from_o prayer_n they_o find_v their_o heart_n be_v as_o straight_o as_o ever_o i_o do_v not_o say_v but_o a_o godly_a man_n or_o woman_n may_v be_v so_o at_o sometime_o but_o when_o duty_n be_v perform_v in_o a_o legal_a way_n this_o be_v constant_o so_o and_o oh_o what_o a_o burden_n be_v this_o to_o a_o soul_n to_o think_v that_o i_o can_v never_o go_v into_o the_o presence_n of_o god_n but_o i_o have_v still_o a_o dead_a straight_a heart_n other_o have_v enlarge_v heart_n but_o i_o do_v the_o duty_n and_o nothing_o come_v of_o it_o i_o feel_v my_o heart_n altogether_o straighten_a in_o the_o duty_n and_o so_o i_o go_v on_o in_o the_o round_n but_o still_o be_o straiten_v dead_a and_o dull_a in_o the_o performance_n of_o the_o duty_n the_o 7._o burden_n of_o legal_a performance_n 7._o those_o that_o perform_v duty_n in_o a_o mere_a legal_a way_n find_v nothing_o to_o come_v of_o their_o duty_n but_o be_v mere_o as_o a_o horse_n in_o the_o mil_fw-mi go_v the_o round_n or_o as_o if_o a_o man_n be_v to_o rive_v or_o cleave_v a_o knotty_a piece_n of_o wood_n he_o strike_v but_o the_o knottiness_n of_o the_o wood_n give_v the_o rebound_n to_o the_o axe_n and_o wedge_n and_o he_o can_v make_v no_o mark_n of_o it_o though_o a_o man_n strive_v and_o work_v hard_a yet_o if_o he_o find_v his_o work_n go_v on_o here_o be_v some_o comfort_n but_o when_o he_o work_v and_o work_n and_o it_o continue_v so_o still_o this_o be_v burdensome_a if_o a_o man_n shall_v be_v set_v to_o pull_v a_o log_n out_o of_o a_o ditch_n and_o enjoin_v to_o work_v from_o morning_n to_o night_n and_o he_o pull_v and_o pull_v all_o the_o day_n and_o it_o stir_v not_o be_v no_o further_o on_o in_o his_o work_n at_o night_n than_o he_o be_v in_o the_o morning_n and_o he_o must_v go_v to_o it_o the_o next_o day_n and_o nothing_o come_v of_o his_o work_n this_o be_v very_o tedious_a so_o it_o be_v with_o those_o that_o be_v mere_o legal_a in_o their_o performance_n they_o find_v little_a or_o nothing_o come_v of_o all_o their_o performance_n and_o this_o must_v needs_o be_v very_o burdensome_a you_o that_o have_v be_v thus_o burden_v know_v this_o very_a text_n concern_v you_o and_o christ_n have_v thought_n of_o you_o and_o call_v you_o to_o himself_o and_o say_v come_v to_o i_o as_o if_o christ_n shall_v say_v certain_o there_o be_v another_o way_n for_o you_o to_o have_v ease_n and_o rest_n to_o your_o soul_n it_o be_v true_a you_o must_v go_v on_o their_o end_n what_o be_v that_o you_o will_v say_v their_o end_n be_v that_o they_o may_v have_v peace_n with_o god_n live_v and_o have_v eternal_a life_n it_o be_v true_a base_a hypocrite_n look_v at_o profit_n many_o will_v make_v a_o show_n of_o religion_n get_v into_o house_n and_o talk_v of_o good_a thing_n that_o they_o may_v get_v good_a cheer_n meat_n and_o drink_n and_o a_o little_a gain_n be_v of_o a_o poor_a and_o unworthy_a spirit_n but_o i_o speak_v of_o those_o that_o be_v grow_v high_a than_o thuâ—_n those_o that_o perform_v duty_n out_o of_o conscience_n and_o yet_o never_o attain_v to_o their_o end_n nor_o never_o will_v attain_v to_o their_o end_n in_o this_o way_n till_o they_o come_v to_o know_v more_o of_o christ_n i_o speak_v of_o such_o as_o desire_v rest_n to_o their_o soul_n yet_o in_o this_o way_n of_o legal_a performance_n never_o gain_v this_o rest_n to_o their_o soul_n and_o and_o therefore_o it_o must_v needs_o be_v burdensome_a unto_o they_o the_o 9_o burden_n of_o legal_a performance_n 9_o those_o that_o perform_v duty_n in_o a_o mere_a legal_a way_n they_o go_v on_o and_o perform_v duty_n but_o whether_o god_n accept_v of_o they_o yea_o or_o no_o they_o can_v tell_v do_v they_o they_o must_v but_o whether_o god_n be_v their_o enemy_n or_o their_o friend_n they_o can_v tell_v tender_v up_o duty_n to_o god_n they_o do_v every_o day_n but_o whether_o they_o tender_v they_o up_o to_o a_o enemy_n or_o a_o friend_n they_o do_v not_o know_v sometime_o they_o have_v perhaps_o some_o good_a hope_n that_o god_n accept_v they_o but_o never_o come_v to_o any_o knowledge_n of_o god_n acceptance_n they_o go_v up_o and_o down_o continual_o with_o jealous_a thought_n of_o god_n fear_v leaâ—â—od_a will_v take_v advantage_n of_o they_o at_o the_o last_o this_o musâ—â—e_o burdensome_a many_o poor_a soul_n have_v go_v on_o in_o tâ—â—tion_n one_o seven_o year_n after_o another_o and_o all_o for_o thâ—_n of_o come_v to_o jesus_n christ_n for_o rest_n unto_o their_o soul_n then_o come_v rest_n to_o the_o heart_n of_o a_o sinner_n when_o it_o know_v and_o can_v say_v upon_o good_a ground_n though_o my_o heart_n have_v much_o corruption_n though_o my_o duty_n have_v much_o imperfection_n yet_o through_o a_o covenant_n of_o grace_n what_o i_o do_v the_o lord_n accept_v of_o i_o whereas_o the_o other_o never_o come_v to_o know_v that_o god_n do_v accept_v they_o though_o they_o perform_v their_o duty_n never_o so_o well_o the_o 10._o burden_n of_o legal_a performance_n 10._o those_o that_o perform_v duty_n in_o a_o mere_a legal_a way_n their_o spirit_n be_v hurry_v on_o to_o do_v the_o work_n to_o do_v the_o thing_n that_o conscience_n require_v although_o in_o regard_n of_o their_o weakness_n the_o do_v of_o such_o a_o thing_n at_o such_o a_o time_n will_v hinder_v the_o do_v of_o other_o duty_n that_o god_n require_v of_o they_o but_o yet_o do_v it_o they_o must_v i_o do_v not_o say_v duty_n be_v not_o to_o be_v do_v at_o this_o time_n but_o such_o thing_n as_o conscience_n tell_v they_o be_v good_a they_o be_v hurry_v on_o to_o do_v they_o present_o though_o in_o regard_n of_o their_o weakness_n the_o do_v of_o they_o now_o do_v hinder_v they_o from_o do_v other_o thing_n of_o more_o consequence_n as_o we_o find_v by_o experience_n many_o that_o be_v weak_a yet_o under_o the_o command_n of_o conscience_n and_o be_v in_o a_o legal_a way_n sudden_o there_o come_v such_o a_o thing_n into_o their_o
christ_n we_o shall_v seek_v rather_o for_o holiness_n and_o sanctification_n from_o christ_n then_o that_o we_o may_v have_v peace_n will_v you_o know_v the_o reason_n you_o say_v you_o tell_v we_o that_o christ_n be_v our_o sanctification_n but_o we_o have_v not_o find_v such_o sanctification_n from_o christ_n to_o increase_v holiness_n but_o what_o be_v the_o reason_n you_o have_v exercise_v your_o faith_n upon_o christ_n main_o that_o you_o may_v have_v peace_n that_o you_o may_v have_v enlargement_n and_o comfort_n as_o other_o have_v and_o that_o be_v the_o reason_n that_o your_o holiness_n be_v scant_o if_o you_o have_v exercise_v your_o faith_n in_o christ_n that_o you_o may_v have_v holiness_n than_o you_o may_v have_v have_v more_o peace_n say_v christ_n be_v it_o unto_o thou_o according_a to_o thy_o faith_n so_o in_o this_o case_n christ_n say_v to_o every_o believer_n be_v it_o according_a to_o thy_o faith_n according_a to_o what_o you_o exercise_v your_o faith_n so_o be_v it_o unto_o you_o as_o do_v you_o exercise_v your_o faith_n for_o peace_n and_o comfort_n and_o main_o for_o that_o you_o have_v some_o peace_n and_o comfort_n but_o you_o shall_v not_o have_v so_o much_o holiness_n but_o do_v you_o exercise_v your_o faith_n for_o holiness_n most_o then_o you_o shall_v have_v most_o holiness_n now_o certain_o a_o true_a christian_n prize_v holiness_n rather_o than_o peace_n and_o i_o know_v no_o sure_a argument_n for_o the_o truth_n of_o grace_n and_o the_o difference_n between_o a_o hypocrite_n and_o one_o that_o have_v true_a grace_n than_o this_o the_o hypocrite_n will_v have_v holiness_n that_o he_o may_v have_v peace_n i_o but_o the_o true_a believer_n will_v have_v peace_n that_o his_o peace_n may_v increase_v his_o holiness_n second_o another_o rule_n be_v this_o though_o christ_n do_v give_v in_o grace_n increase_v of_o sanctification_n and_o holiness_n yet_o do_v not_o depend_v upon_o what_o christ_n give_v in_o for_o the_o present_a but_o still_o keep_v thy_o heart_n sensible_a of_o the_o need_n of_o new_a supply_n there_o be_v many_o christian_n when_o they_o have_v be_v at_o duty_n and_o have_v exercise_v faith_n upon_o christ_n for_o this_o rest_n of_o sanctification_n and_o have_v get_v somewhat_o some_o enlargement_n and_o some_o quicken_n of_o spirit_n and_o some_o resolution_n in_o the_o way_n of_o god_n here_o they_o rest_v and_o now_o they_o think_v they_o be_v well_o they_o think_v to_o live_v upon_o this_o stock_n a_o great_a while_n but_o now_o we_o be_v to_o pray_v for_o our_o daily_a bread_n and_o to_o depend_v upon_o christ_n for_o new_a supply_n of_o grace_n and_o holiness_n every_o day_n every_o moment_n according_a to_o every_o work_n that_o we_o be_v set_v about_o to_o go_v to_o christ_n for_o new_a supply_n as_o if_o we_o have_v nothing_o at_o all_o give_v we_o before_o and_o christ_n will_v be_v well_o please_v with_o this_o that_o though_o we_o have_v never_o so_o much_o grace_n yet_o to_o go_v to_o he_o to_o renew_v our_o faith_n as_o if_o we_o have_v none_o at_o all_o that_o iâ—_n as_o strong_o i_o do_v not_o mean_v that_o we_o shall_v apprehend_v that_o we_o have_v none_o at_o all_o but_o as_o strong_o and_o eager_o to_o exercise_v faith_n upon_o christ_n for_o new_a supply_n of_o holiness_n as_o if_o we_o have_v none_o at_o all_o and_o indeed_o those_o that_o seem_v to_o have_v none_o exercise_n faith_n in_o christ_n most_o three_o for_o conclusion_n of_o all_o take_v this_o as_o a_o rule_n those_o christian_n that_o do_v most_o converse_v with_o that_o they_o be_v in_o a_o restless_a condition_n their_o soul_n have_v not_o union_n with_o god_n in_o jesus_n christ_n and_o therefore_o they_o be_v hurry_v up_o and_o down_o here_o in_o this_o world_n to_o seek_v after_o comfort_v this_o way_n and_o that_o way_n but_o the_o truth_n be_v as_o with_o the_o unclean_a spirit_n in_o the_o gospel_n they_o seek_v for_o rest_v but_o find_v none_o of_o the_o law_n of_o god_n in_o their_o heart_n which_o be_v that_o we_o call_v the_o moral_a law_n in_o that_o consist_v the_o very_a image_n of_o god_n in_o man_n soul_n at_o his_o first_o creation_n when_o he_o be_v in_o his_o innocency_n and_o therefore_o we_o can_v be_v say_v to_o be_v deliver_v from_o that_o as_o it_o be_v a_o copy_n and_o extract_v of_o god_n image_n in_o the_o heart_n of_o man_n it_o be_v rather_o renew_v by_o christ_n than_o abolish_v by_o christ_n three_o the_o law_n it_o be_v a_o glass_n wherein_o we_o be_v to_o see_v our_o own_o face_n wherein_o we_o be_v to_o see_v how_o far_o we_o be_v decline_v from_o the_o image_n in_o which_o we_o first_o be_v make_v and_o so_o far_o christ_n have_v not_o deliver_v we_o from_o it_o neither_o for_o he_o will_v have_v we_o still_o to_o look_v into_o the_o law_n as_o into_o a_o glass_n to_o see_v how_o far_o we_o be_v come_v short_a of_o that_o that_o god_n do_v require_v of_o we_o and_o that_o god_n do_v enable_v we_o to_o do_v that_o be_v a_o three_o consideration_n of_o the_o law_n four_o the_o law_n be_v a_o revelation_n of_o the_o will_n of_o god_n it_o reveal_v what_o be_v the_o holy_a and_o righteous_a will_n of_o god_n towards_o his_o creature_n and_o in_o that_o consideration_n we_o be_v not_o deliver_v from_o it_o neither_o we_o be_v to_o look_v into_o that_o to_o see_v what_o the_o will_n of_o god_n be_v concern_v we_o last_o which_o follow_v from_o thence_o the_o law_n be_v still_o a_o authoritative_a rule_n for_o our_o conversation_n to_o order_v our_o conversation_n that_o the_o scripture_n be_v as_o clear_v in_o as_o in_o any_o one_o truth_n that_o be_v in_o the_o book_n of_o god_n it_o be_v indeed_o a_o point_n that_o be_v it_o not_o for_o a_o strange_a kind_n of_o wantonness_n that_o have_v possess_v the_o spirit_n of_o some_o it_o be_v never_o needful_a to_o spend_v one_o quarter_n or_o minute_n of_o a_o hour_n upon_o it_o that_o place_n in_o james_n 2.8_o and_o so_o on_o if_o you_o fulfil_v the_o royal_a law_n according_a to_o the_o scripture_n thou_o shall_v love_v thy_o neighbour_n as_o thyself_o you_o do_v well_o you_o do_v well_o in_o that_o now_o that_o thou_o shall_v love_v thy_o neighbour_n as_o thyself_o be_v the_o sum_n of_o the_o second_o table_n of_o the_o ten_o commandment_n and_o it_o be_v call_v the_o royal_a law_n the_o law_n of_o holiness_n as_o it_o be_v the_o very_a copy_n and_o extract_v of_o the_o image_n of_o god_n in_o which_o god_n make_v man_n at_o the_o first_o as_o it_o be_v the_o glass_n in_o which_o we_o be_v to_o look_v to_o see_v our_o deformity_n as_o it_o be_v the_o revelation_n of_o the_o will_n of_o god_n and_o as_o it_o be_v the_o authoritative_a rule_n for_o our_o conversation_n so_o christ_n do_v not_o deliver_v we_o from_o it_o but_o it_o stand_v in_o force_n in_o all_o these_o five_o respect_n and_o there_o be_v no_o believer_n no_o gracious_a godly_a soul_n that_o do_v account_v the_o law_n a_o burden_n in_o these_o respect_n but_o bless_v god_n for_o the_o law_n and_o they_o account_v it_o their_o inheritance_n and_o the_o joy_n of_o their_o soul_n they_o bless_v god_n that_o ever_o they_o know_v it_o and_o their_o heart_n lie_v under_o the_o power_n of_o it_o and_o they_o be_v willing_a to_o order_v their_o life_n by_o it_o quest_n but_o then_o what_o be_v we_o deliver_v from_o in_o the_o law_n by_o christ_n first_o from_o the_o rigour_n of_o it_o christ_n deliver_v we_o from_o the_o load_n of_o the_o rigour_n of_o it_o from_o this_o rigour_n that_o it_o require_v perfect_a obedience_n so_o far_o we_o be_v deliver_v from_o the_o rigour_n of_o the_o law_n and_o yet_o this_o may_v be_v say_v to_o be_v rigorous_a in_o regard_n of_o our_o weakness_n for_o we_o have_v once_o power_n but_o now_o the_o lord_n do_v take_v off_o the_o rigour_n in_o regard_n of_o our_o weakness_n and_o so_o rigorous_a in_o regard_n of_o the_o violent_a and_o rigorous_a way_n that_o it_o do_v take_v to_o force_v on_o man_n unto_o obedience_n we_o shall_v hear_v how_o we_o be_v deliver_v from_o that_o second_o believer_n be_v deliver_v from_o the_o bondage_n of_o the_o law_n quest_n you_o will_v say_v how_o be_v the_o
eternal_a life_n itself_o and_o therefore_o there_o be_v rest_n in_o it_o it_o be_v so_o far_o from_o get_v eternal_a life_n by_o it_o as_o it_o be_v rather_o eternal_a life_n itself_o than_o so_o much_o as_o any_o way_n to_o eternal_a life_n for_o this_o may_v be_v say_v though_o i_o perform_v duty_n it_o be_v true_a god_n have_v teach_v i_o so_o much_o that_o now_o under_o the_o gospel_n we_o must_v not_o think_v to_o get_v eternal_a life_n by_o our_o duty_n by_o our_o work_n this_o be_v popery_n yet_o it_o be_v the_o way_n to_o eternal_a life_n the_o way_n that_o tend_v to_o it_o it_o be_v via_fw-la ad_fw-la regnum_fw-la the_o way_n to_o the_o kingdom_n though_o not_o the_o cause_n of_o reign_v nay_o i_o will_v show_v you_o a_o further_a thing_n than_o so_o the_o way_n of_o obedience_n and_o holiness_n in_o a_o christian_n course_n they_o be_v rather_o eternal_a life_n itself_o than_o the_o way_n to_o it_o they_o have_v more_o excellency_n in_o they_o then_o be_v the_o way_n to_o life_n it_o be_v true_a it_o be_v a_o great_a deal_n of_o ease_n and_o rest_n to_o one_o spirit_n to_o consider_v of_o holy_a duty_n but_o as_o the_o way_n to_o heaven_n if_o a_o man_n be_v go_v a_o journey_n and_o know_v the_o end_n of_o his_o journey_n shall_v be_v very_o glorious_a to_o he_o if_o it_o be_v to_o receive_v a_o crown_n a_o kingdom_n though_o it_o be_v a_o boisterous_a day_n and_o stormy_a weather_n and_o the_o way_n be_v very_o foul_a he_o will_v not_o be_v trouble_v at_o it_o but_o he_o will_v account_v it_o very_o comfortable_a to_o know_v that_o he_o be_v in_o the_o right_a way_n for_o he_o think_v this_o will_v lead_v i_o to_o my_o journey_n end_n and_o when_o i_o come_v there_o that_o will_v make_v amends_o for_o al._n and_o the_o truth_n be_v there_o be_v ease_n and_o rest_n enough_o in_o the_o way_n of_o god_n if_o god_n do_v reveal_v no_o more_o unto_o a_o soul_n than_o this_o these_o be_v the_o way_n that_o lead_v thou_o to_o life_n and_o salvation_n that_o lead_v thou_o to_o a_o kingdom_n to_o glory_n especial_o consider_v that_o before_o we_o be_v out_o of_o the_o way_n we_o be_v wander_v in_o the_o way_n of_o death_n and_o destruction_n and_o god_n by_o his_o almighty_a hand_n have_v bring_v we_o into_o the_o right_a way_n when_o a_o man_n be_v go_v a_o journey_n of_o great_a consequence_n and_o he_o be_v go_v out_o of_o the_o way_n and_o god_n by_o his_o providence_n have_v bring_v he_o into_o his_o right_a way_n o_o what_o ease_n be_v in_o his_o spirit_n before_o when_o he_o be_v out_o of_o the_o way_n what_o distraction_n and_o disquietness_n of_o heart_n but_o now_o when_o he_o come_v into_o the_o way_n oh_o what_o ease_n and_o quiet_a be_v in_o his_o spirit_n so_o i_o say_v this_o be_v ease_n and_o rest_n enough_o of_o spirit_n to_o know_v that_o whereas_o before_o the_o soul_n be_v wander_v in_o the_o path_n of_o death_n now_o it_o be_v in_o the_o path_n of_o life_n but_o i_o tell_v you_o further_o than_o so_o that_o when_o thou_o be_v perform_v of_o holy_a duty_n and_o exercise_v of_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n in_o the_o performance_n of_o those_o duty_n thou_o be_v not_o only_o in_o the_o way_n of_o eternal_a life_n but_o thou_o be_v in_o eternal_a life_n itself_o not_o only_o in_o the_o way_n to_o the_o kingdom_n but_o in_o the_o kingdom_n not_o only_o in_o the_o way_n to_o heaven_n but_o in_o heaven_n it_o be_v eternal_a life_n this_o be_v eternal_a life_n to_o know_v thou_o the_o true_a god_n and_o thy_o son_n who_o thou_o have_v send_v into_o the_o world_n and_o that_o place_n in_o the_o epistle_n of_o st._n john_n he_o speak_v of_o a_o murderer_n one_o that_o do_v hate_v his_o brother_n in_o the_o first_o of_o john_n 3.15_o whosoever_o hate_v his_o brother_n be_v a_o murderer_n and_o you_o know_v that_o no_o murderer_n have_v eternal_a life_n abide_v in_o he_o then_o it_o appear_v that_o one_o that_o love_v his_o brother_n and_o be_v godly_a and_o god_n work_n it_o be_v wage_n and_o the_o improve_n of_o that_o principle_n will_v help_v we_o very_o much_o in_o our_o christian_a course_n if_o thou_o do_v live_v and_o account_v every_o duty_n receive_v thy_o wage_n when_o thou_o be_v perform_v of_o duty_n in_o rom._n 6._o and_o the_o last_o the_o wage_n of_o sin_n be_v death_n but_o the_o gift_n of_o god_n be_v eternal_a life_n through_o jesus_n christ_n at_o the_o 22._o verse_n it_o be_v thus_o but_o now_o be_v free_v from_o sin_n and_o become_v servant_n unto_o god_n you_o have_v your_o fruit_n unto_o holiness_n and_o the_o end_n
