man_n to_o cast_v off_o at_o least_o in_o part_n the_o government_n and_o bless_a yoke_n of_o christ_n also_o hence_o it_o come_v about_o that_o a_o day_n of_o rest_n from_o persecution_n which_o shall_v be_v a_o day_n of_o liberty_n to_o the_o saint_n to_o serve_v god_n may_v become_v a_o day_n of_o great_a seduction_n and_o of_o liberty_n to_o seduce_a spirit_n to_o deceive_v and_o damn_v and_o mislead_v they_o from_o the_o truth_n and_o way_n of_o god_n but_o the_o machination_n of_o man_n though_o in_o conjunction_n with_o the_o power_n and_o gate_n of_o hell_n shall_v certain_o fall_v at_o last_o before_o truth_n and_o prayer_n and_o of_o this_o be_v the_o first_o treatise_n which_o be_v seasonable_o publish_v to_o be_v fast_o bind_v to_o the_o rule_n with_o all_o the_o bond_n and_o cord_n of_o god_n and_o man_n be_v the_o perfection_n of_o liberty_n hence_o there_o be_v not_o a_o sure_a cornerstone_n of_o ruin_n to_o a_o christian_a commonwealth_n that_o god_n conscience_n whether_o baal_n be_v god_n or_o the_o lord_n be_v god_n and_o therefore_o will_v not_o have_v the_o worshipper_n of_o baal_n punish_v for_o fear_v lest_o baal_n shall_v be_v god_n be_v there_o be_v much_o hear_n but_o little_a effectual_a hear_n man_n stand_v like_o the_o oak_n of_o bashan_n before_o the_o word_n of_o the_o god_n of_o israel_n no_o terror_n of_o the_o lord_n no_o news_n of_o everlasting_a destruction_n no_o evidence_n of_o the_o fierce_a anger_n of_o god_n upon_o they_o which_o burn_v down_o to_o the_o bottom_n of_o hell_n can_v take_v hold_n upon_o their_o spirit_n or_o awaken_v their_o conscience_n to_o make_v inquiry_n after_o god_n in_o this_o their_o day_n yea_o if_o the_o bar_n of_o the_o pit_n of_o hell_n be_v break_v and_o if_o the_o devil_n of_o hell_n shall_v come_v fly_v up_o among_o we_o in_o our_o solemn_a assembly_n from_o the_o fiery_a corner_n of_o the_o pit_n below_o with_o everlasting_a burn_n about_o their_o ear_n and_o with_o chain_n of_o darkness_n rattle_v at_o their_o heel_n they_o may_v fright_v man_n out_o of_o their_o wit_n perhaps_o or_o from_o the_o act_n of_o sin_n it_o may_v be_v for_o a_o time_n but_o it_o by_o their_o own_o counsel_n the_o saint_n may_v be_v much_o carry_v away_o by_o the_o power_n of_o satan_n temptation_n but_o never_o so_o far_o as_o to_o think_v their_o bondage_n be_v their_o freedom_n and_o to_o have_v reason_n and_o argument_n prevail_v against_o the_o good_a way_n of_o god_n grace_n and_o to_o have_v reason_n to_o maintain_v their_o sinful_a course_n and_o that_o be_v in_o such_o as_o have_v wit_n and_o part_n and_o knowledge_n which_o through_o the_o righteous_a judgement_n of_o god_n be_v leave_v so_o far_o to_o abuse_v it_o as_o to_o make_v use_n of_o it_o to_o maintain_v their_o sin-ful_a lust_n 2._o answ_n 2_o when_o man_n if_o they_o see_v their_o bondage_n yet_o have_v no_o heart_n to_o come_v out_o of_o it_o in_o use_v all_o mean_n for_o that_o end_n when_o the_o will_n be_v in_o captivity_n no_o captivity_n like_o it_o no_o galleyslave_n like_o it_o a_o child_n of_o god_n have_v a_o bondage_n and_o be_v lead_v into_o captivity_n but_o oh_o under_o the_o government_n of_o god_n and_o christ_n and_o so_o from_o under_o the_o grace_n of_o christ_n and_o the_o argument_n be_v strong_a if_o true_a but_o why_o not_o under_o his_o government_n because_o they_o find_v daily_o a_o spirit_n so_o cross_a to_o the_o will_n of_o christ_n and_o hence_o under_o continual_a fear_n of_o condemnation_n oh_o but_o consider_v have_v thou_o no_o love_n to_o the_o will_n of_o christ_n &_o law_n of_o god_n for_o if_o any_o believe_v this_o be_v find_v in_o he_o if_o so_o then_o under_o christ_n government_n rom._n 8.2_o the_o law_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o life_n have_v make_v i_o free_a what_o be_v that_o law_n see_v chap._n 7.23_o 24._o spirit_n of_o delight_n in_o the_o law_n in_o the_o inner_a man_n and_o mourn_v for_o contrary_a captivity_n gospel_n and_o god_n be_v slander_v you_o cast_v off_o the_o lord_n yoke_n it_o be_v one_o man_n speech_n that_o the_o great_a sin_n of_o this_o country_n will_v be_v hatred_n of_o the_o saint_n a_o scornful_a contempt_n of_o they_o it_o will_v come_v by_o degree_n first_o distaste_n and_o then_o censure_n and_o contemn_v oh_o but_o if_o herein_o you_o submit_v herein_o christ_n be_v honour_v and_o gospel_n glorify_v in_o love_n and_o amiableness_n not_o in_o a_o rigorous_a austerity_n of_o spirit_n and_o diabolical_a censoriousnesse_n but_o in_o word_n and_o deed_n countenance_n and_o gesture_n comfort_v and_o encourage_v one_o another_o when_o david_n will_v know_v what_o to_o do_v true_o say_v he_o my_o goodness_n extend_v not_o to_o thou_o but_o to_o the_o saint_n in_o who_o be_v all_o my_o delight_n oh_o therefore_o submit_v here_o this_o conscience_n call_v for_o and_o christ_n must_v have_v to_o conclude_v with_o a_o word_n for_o help_v here_o mean_v 1_o look_v to_o
