from_o his_o word_n and_o also_o his_o apostle_n and_o minister_n for_o our_o example_n hereof_o both_o to_o preach_v the_o very_a same_o thing_n which_o be_v common_o know_v and_o preach_v already_o as_o also_o to_o write_v and_o speak_v the_o same_o thing_n again_o which_o we_o have_v already_o write_v and_o speak_v in_o order_n to_o stir_v up_o your_o pure_a mind_n by_o way_n of_o remembrance_n and_o also_o to_o make_v safe_a and_o full_a proof_n of_o our_o ministry_n and_o so_o whilst_o in_o the_o course_n and_o order_n of_o my_o ministry_n i_o do_v partly_o preach_v such_o thing_n which_o i_o have_v preach_v already_o and_o also_o some_o other_o far_a truth_n from_o week_n to_o week_n according_a as_o god_n bring_v the_o same_o to_o my_o knowledge_n herein_o i_o do_v exact_o answer_v that_o government_n be_v a_o more_o immediate_a theocracy_n then_o over_o the_o other_o nation_n so_o he_o be_v their_o chief_a captain_n or_o general_n of_o their_o army_n or_o host_n and_o that_o he_o do_v fight_v their_o baâ—tels_n in_o dispossess_v their_o enemy_n from_o out_o of_o it_o and_o give_v they_o the_o land_n of_o canaan_n in_o truth_n in_o this_o sense_n he_o be_v the_o lord_n of_o their_o host_n as_o he_o do_v lead_v forth_o the_o child_n of_o israel_n by_o their_o host_n from_o out_o of_o the_o land_n of_o egypt_n and_o give_v they_o possession_n of_o the_o promise_v land_n and_o so_o in_o another_o sense_n inasmuch_o as_o we_o be_v to_o publish_v the_o name_n of_o the_o lord_n ascribe_v you_o greatness_n unto_o our_o god_n deut._n 32._o 3._o and_o forasmuch_o as_o a_o host_n or_o army_n be_v one_o of_o the_o great_a and_o most_o terrible_a thing_n here_o live_v on_o the_o earth_n therefore_o when_o the_o spirit_n or_o spiritual_a man_n will_v ascribe_v have_v create_v
â—hings_n of_o this_o world_n and_o of_o the_o flesh_n we_o can_v obtain_v which_o we_o will_v and_o if_o we_o can_v we_o can_v hold_v or_o continue_v to_o have_v they_o for_o we_o die_v and_o go_v away_o or_o if_o we_o can_v yet_o they_o be_v not_o worth_a the_o hold_n because_o as_o yet_o god_n do_v not_o commit_v unto_o we_o the_o true_a richâ—s_n luke_n 16._o 11._o that_o be_v the_o true_a aside_o every_o weight_n and_o the_o sin_n that_o do_v so_o easy_o beset_v we_o and_o to_o resist_v unto_o blood_n strive_v against_o sin_n all_o those_o expression_n come_v to_o one_o and_o the_o nothing_o be_v want_v in_o she_o as_o indeed_o it_o will_v be_v a_o very_a great_a want_n if_o she_o be_v not_o renew_v again_o after_o the_o image_n of_o he_o who_o create_v she_o that_o be_v in_o righteousness_n and_o true_a holiness_n it_o have_v be_v aforesaid_a that_o to_o set_v our_o body_n in_o order_n be_v that_o they_o may_v be_v make_v free_a from_o sin_n for_o a_o holy_a body_n be_v they_o seem_v outward_o religious_a when_o they_o be_v yet_o in_o their_o sin_n or_o when_o they_o serve_v divers_a lust_n and_o pleasure_n for_o darkness_n may_v be_v as_o true_o call_v light_n which_o will_v be_v a_o great_a absurdity_n and_o impâ—ssibility_n as_o to_o think_v or_o say_v â—uch_o be_v a_o holy_a people_n woe_n unto_o they_o that_o call_v evil_a good_a and_o good_a evil_n that_o put_v darkness_n for_o light_n and_o light_n for_o darkness_n that_o put_v bitter_a for_o sweet_a and_o sweet_a for_o biâ—ter_n isa_n 5._o 20._o and_o whereas_o the_o divine_o inspire_a that_o command_v thou_o shall_v not_o sow_v thy_o land_n with_o divers_a kind_n of_o seed_n nor_o yet_o make_v a_o garment_n of_o linsey_n woolsey_n when_o such_o a_o judicial_a law_n be_v give_v close_o and_o talk_v with_o they_o of_o these_o thing_n they_o have_v a_o parcel_n of_o say_n and_o excuse_n as_o indeed_o all_o sin_n and_o transgression_n have_v its_o excuse_n there_o be_v nothing_o so_o bad_a in_o the_o world_n but_o somewhat_o may_v be_v say_v for_o it_o distinction_n and_o tradition_n of_o their_o own_o whereby_o they_o will_v make_v the_o commandment_n of_o god_n of_o none_o effect_n so_o it_o be_v evident_a they_o break_v one_o of_o his_o least_o commandment_n and_o teach_v man_n so_o which_o disobedience_n and_o prevarication_n of_o they_o show_v that_o of_o the_o child_n of_o disobedience_n to_o despise_v god_n that_o form_v they_o in_o their_o despise_v the_o ministration_n of_o his_o word_n and_o some_o way_n or_o other_o to_o turn_v aside_o from_o or_o deceive_v in_o that_o religion_n which_o be_v to_o the_o save_n of_o the_o soul_n that_o after_o all_o the_o preach_a and_o hear_v which_o have_v be_v in_o the_o world_n the_o great_a part_n of_o both_o preacher_n and_o people_n will_v be_v cast-a-way_n and_o perish_v for_o ever_o thing_n have_v be_v and_o be_v so_o transact_v all_o along_o that_o those_o few_o preacher_n which_o shall_v be_v save_v as_o also_o those_o few_o hearer_n that_o shall_v be_v save_v for_o there_o be_v only_o but_o a_o four_o part_n of_o the_o hearer_n of_o the_o word_n matth._n 13._o and_o mark_v 4._o that_o will_v be_v save_v by_o it_o and_o then_o what_o will_v become_v of_o the_o multitude_n of_o non-hearer_n they_o shall_v certain_o perish_v and_o be_v destroy_v without_o remedy_n but_o practical_a use_n inference_n and_o application_n to_o the_o whole_a several_n do_v object_n and_o needless_o find_v fault_n that_o i_o do_v not_o digest_v and_o compose_v my_o sermon_n as_o other_o it_o to_o their_o heart_n and_o conscience_n use_v and_o application_n be_v altogether_o as_o proper_a in_o the_o begin_n of_o a_o sermon_n as_o towards_o the_o end_n thereof_o when_o many_o thing_n have_v be_v say_v upon_o one_o particular_a subject_n it_o be_v hard_o to_o add_v much_o more_o and_o not_o say_v over_o again_o what_o have_v be_v already_o say_v however_o let_v we_o endeavour_v to_o raise_v a_o practical_a use_n or_o inference_n or_o two_o from_o the_o whole_a be_v it_o so_o then_o that_o we_o must_v die_v and_o not_o live_v this_o may_v teach_v we_o in_o the_o first_o place_n to_o be_v in_o good_a earnest_n in_o matter_n of_o religion_n or_o upon_o the_o evening_n and_o make_v up_o our_o account_n with_o god_n with_o who_o we_o have_v to_o do_v and_o to_o who_o we_o must_v give_v they_o up_o one_o say_v well_o we_o shall_v not_o altogether_o live_v in_o jest_n for_o we_o shall_v certain_o die_v in_o earnest_n and_o there_o be_v another_o common_a proverbial_a speech_n that_o if_o ever_o people_n will_v be_v serious_a they_o will_v be_v serious_a upon_o their_o deathbed_n for_o then_o the_o ruffle_a roister_n jolly_a person_n and_o most_o and_o people_n make_v a_o jest_n and_o light_n of_o it_o or_o if_o it_o be_v trouble_v and_o disquietude_n they_o be_v also_o vain_a so_o that_o we_o be_v only_o carry_v from_o one_o vain_a extreme_a to_o another_o but_o when_o we_o shall_v die_v and_o not_o live_v or_o rather_o enter_v into_o that_o state_n wherein_o we_o shall_v live_v and_o die_v no_o more_o than_o we_o shall_v meet_v with_o thing_n to_o come_v a_o little_a thing_n puff_v up_o a_o bubble_n and_o man_n be_v but_o a_o bubble_n therefore_o it_o be_v that_o he_o be_v soon_o lift_v up_o and_o transport_v but_o whoso_o be_v endue_v with_o real_a wisdom_n he_o can_v take_v pleasure_n in_o fool_n mirth_n or_o in_o a_o idle_a jest_n who_o be_v pass_v over_o the_o festivity_n of_o childhood_n and_o youth_n they_o can_v still_o show_v themselves_o transport_v with_o vanity_n all_o the_o jest_a and_o merriment_n in_o the_o world_n can_v never_o make_v up_o the_o true_a happiness_n because_o it_o be_v not_o satisfactory_a nor_o yet_o endure_v and_o so_o all_o jest_a and_o merriment_n be_v like_o the_o crackle_n of_o thornâ—_n under_o a_o pot_n which_o make_v a_o sudden_a blaze_n and_o noise_n but_o give_v no_o solid_a heat_n in_o the_o midst_n of_o laughter_n the_o heart_n be_v sorrowful_a but_o if_o it_o be_v not_o so_o yet_o all_o worldly_a and_o sensible_a delight_n be_v but_o as_o one_o single_a mouthful_n of_o meat_n to_o a_o hungry_a man_n which_o rather_o excite_v the_o appetite_n further_o and_o after_o more_o than_o satisfy_v iâ—_n so_o worldly_a and_o sensible_a delight_n raise_v anguish_n how_o insufficient_a and_o short_a these_o thing_n be_v of_o a_o true_a and_o inward_a satisfaction_n o_o you_o son_n of_o man_n how_o long_o will_v you_o love_v vanity_n and_o although_o he_o be_v not_o see_v by_o we_o yet_o he_o speak_v unto_o we_o and_o so_o we_o be_v to_o receive_v and_o hear_v it_o with_o reverence_n and_o godly_a fear_n and_o with_o a_o mind_n to_o ministry_n in_o one_o place_n of_o jeremiah_n it_o be_v say_v they_o shall_v not_o profit_v the_o people_n at_o all_o and_o compare_v all_o this_o with_o the_o flat_a insipid_a preach_v of_o some_o who_o ministry_n according_a to_o the_o common_a proverbial_a speech_n thereof_o be_v as_o dead_a and_o dull_a as_o a_o door-nail_n for_o it_o may_v be_v perceive_v that_o it_o have_v no_o manner_n
