god_n and_o do_v good_a to_o man_n consider_v his_o private_a call_n as_o he_o be_v a_o householder_n or_o head_n of_o his_o family_n and_o therein_o acknowledge_v with_o i_o his_o great_a love_n and_o fidelity_n to_o his_o wife_n his_o fatherly_a providence_n towards_o his_o child_n and_o nephew_n his_o great_a wisdom_n and_o care_n in_o govern_v his_o servant_n and_o preserve_v they_o from_o those_o horrible_a vice_n which_o as_o they_o be_v usual_a now_o adays_o in_o great_a family_n so_o no_o doubt_n will_v pull_v down_o the_o fearful_a judgement_n of_o god_n upon_o they_o i_o mean_v swear_v and_o swagger_v and_o final_o his_o goodness_n and_o bounty_n towards_o those_o who_o he_o find_v diligent_a honest_a and_o frugal_a but_o his_o public_a call_n as_o he_o be_v a_o magistrate_n and_o governor_n in_o the_o commonwealth_n do_v now_o call_v i_o unto_o it_o wherein_o all_o i_o doubt_v not_o who_o do_v not_o mislike_v he_o for_o his_o just_a severity_n either_o against_o themselves_o or_o such_o as_o be_v near_o unto_o they_o will_v free_o acknowledge_v that_o he_o be_v a_o very_a good_a justicer_n and_o a_o very_a notable_a good_a commonwealth_n man_n both_o for_o his_o sufficiency_n and_o wisdom_n which_o be_v great_a and_o also_o for_o his_o great_a zeal_n and_o good_a affection_n towards_o his_o country_n and_o courageous_a resolution_n to_o show_v himself_o forward_o in_o good_a cause_n the_o truth_n whereof_o if_o we_o do_v not_o sufficient_o see_v while_o we_o enjoy_v he_o i_o doubt_v we_o shall_v too_o well_o feel_v by_o want_v he_o and_o thus_o you_o have_v hear_v of_o his_o sobriety_n and_o government_n of_o himself_o of_o his_o faith_n and_o religion_n towards_o god_n and_o of_o his_o justice_n &_o charity_n towards_o man_n in_o all_o which_o you_o be_v not_o to_o understand_v i_o as_o though_o i_o go_v about_o to_o maintain_v that_o he_o have_v no_o infirmity_n or_o that_o he_o never_o fail_v in_o any_o particular_n for_o alas_o be_v many_o thing_n we_o offend_v all_o and_o high_o iâ—_n 2._o that_o man_n to_o be_v commend_v who_o general_a course_n be_v such_o as_o i_o have_v describe_v yea_o happy_a and_o thrice_o happy_a be_v that_o man_n who_o have_v a_o settle_a and_o unfeigned_a purpose_n of_o observe_v those_o duty_n of_o sobriety_n justice_n and_o piety_n though_o beside_o his_o purpose_n he_o fail_v in_o many_o particular_a through_o infirmity_n for_o 〈◊〉_d a_o one_o no_o doubt_n be_v the_o true_a child_n of_o god_n and_o as_o these_o sign_n do_v show_v that_o he_o live_v in_o the_o lord_n so_o the_o same_o add_v to_o his_o demeanour_n in_o the_o time_n of_o his_o sickness_n will_v prove_v that_o he_o die_v in_o the_o lord_n i_o will_v begin_v with_o his_o christian_a charity_n in_o forgive_a those_o that_o have_v offend_v he_o in_o give_v satisfaction_n to_o such_o as_o think_v themselves_o wrong_v in_o seek_v to_o be_v reconcile_v with_o such_o as_o he_o may_v think_v do_v bear_v any_o grudge_n towards_o he_o which_o be_v consider_v together_o with_o the_o greatness_n both_o of_o his_o mind_n and_o state_n will_v seem_v no_o small_a argument_n of_o great_a christianity_n and_o herein_o he_o do_v acknowledge_v as_o he_o have_v cause_n the_o good_a providence_n of_o god_n towards_o he_o in_o give_v he_o occasion_n while_o he_o be_v alive_a and_o able_a to_o answer_v for_o himself_o to_o clear_v himself_o as_o to_o my_o understanding_n he_o do_v of_o diverse_a imputation_n which_o otherwise_o may_v perhaps_o have_v prove_v scandalous_a after_o his_o death_n no_o less_o commendable_a be_v his_o christian_a piety_n towards_o god_n show_v it_o self_n in_o the_o time_n of_o his_o sickness_n not_o only_o in_o the_o exercise_n of_o religion_n as_o often_o hear_v of_o the_o word_n preach_v receive_v the_o sacrament_n more_o than_o once_o to_o assure_v he_o of_o his_o union_n and_o communion_n with_o christ_n daily_a invocation_n of_o the_o name_n of_o god_n but_o also_o in_o approve_v his_o faith_n and_o patience_n be_v by_o a_o long_a and_o sharp_a sickness_n so_o thorough_o try_v in_o respect_n whereof_o i_o may_v not_o forget_v his_o behaviour_n at_o two_o especial_a time_n the_o one_o a_o week_n before_o his_o death_n when_o as_o his_o speech_n be_v take_v from_o he_o he_o suppose_v the_o time_n of_o his_o dissolution_n to_o be_v at_o hand_n and_o therefore_o mind_v to_o prepar_v himself_o for_o death_n he_o call_v by_o sign_n for_o ink_n and_o paper_n and_o as_o he_o can_v write_v the_o name_n of_o diverse_a minister_n and_o some_o other_o his_o faithful_a friend_n who_o he_o will_v have_v send_v for_o that_o they_o may_v be_v both_o assistant_n unto_o he_o by_o theâ—_n prayer_n and_o godly_a counsel_n in_o the_o agony_n of_o death_n as_o
