speak_v rough_o unto_o he_o and_o be_v sad_a by_o what_o mean_v they_o be_v make_v thus_o sorrowful_a we_o may_v gather_v by_o the_o 21._o verse_n follow_v where_o they_o answer_v but_o we_o trust_v that_o it_o be_v he_o which_o shall_v redeem_v israel_n for_o the_o success_n be_v not_o such_o as_o they_o look_v for_o c._n moreover_o we_o feel_v that_o to_o be_v thou_o daily_a in_o ourselves_o after_o a_o secret_a manner_n which_o we_o see_v here_o to_o be_v do_v open_o by_o chryste_n at_o that_o time_n namely_o that_o he_o willing_o in_o sinuate_v and_o offer_v himself_o unto_o we_o to_o teach_v us._n 18._o and_o one_o of_o they_o who_o name_n be_v cleophas_n answer_v and_o say_v to_o he_o be_v thou_o only_o a_o stranger_n in_o jerusalem_n &_o have_v not_o know_v the_o thing_n which_o god_n and_o all_o the_o people_n a._n the_o meaning_n of_o chryste_n be_v to_o make_v himself_o know_v unto_o they_o but_o not_o until_o such_o time_n as_o they_o have_v bewray_v their_o ignorance_n that_o at_o the_o length_n they_o may_v see_v that_o they_o come_v not_o unto_o the_o knowledge_n of_o the_o truth_n by_o their_o own_o industry_n and_o wisdom_n but_o by_o the_o grace_n of_o chryst_n only_o by_o which_o he_o bring_v those_o that_o err_v into_o the_o way_n of_o jesus_n of_o nazareth_n c._n by_o this_o answer_n of_o cleophas_n that_o do_v more_o evident_o appear_v which_o we_o say_v even_o now_o namely_o that_o although_o they_o be_v trouble_v &_o disquiet_v about_o the_o resurrection_n of_o chryst_n yet_o notwithstanding_o they_o think_v reverent_o of_o his_o doctrine_n insomuch_o that_o they_o be_v not_o ready_a to_o fall_v from_o he_o for_o they_o tarry_v not_o untyll_o chryst_n prevent_v they_o by_o manyfe_a himself_n unto_o they_o or_o until_o he_o be_v unto_o they_o as_o a_o wayfaring_a man_n speak_v honourable_o unto_o they_o concern_v he_o but_o rather_o out_o of_o a_o obscure_a &_o small_a light_n cleophas_n dare_v unto_o this_o certain_a stranger_n small_a beam_n of_o the_o same_o that_o thereby_o he_o may_v somewhat_o help_v his_o knowledge_n if_o he_o be_v ignorance_n for_o the_o name_n of_o chryste_n be_v so_o infamous_a and_o hateful_a at_o that_o time_n in_o many_o place_n that_o to_o speak_v well_o of_o he_o be_v a_o dangerous_a thing_n but_o set_v all_o fear_n aside_o he_o call_v he_o a_o prophet_n of_o god_n and_o profess_v himself_o to_o be_v one_o of_o his_o dysciple_n and_o although_o this_o name_n of_o prophet_n be_v far_o inferior_a to_o the_o divine_a majesty_n of_o chryst_n yet_o notwithstanding_o this_o mean_a commendation_n deserve_v praise_n because_o cleophas_n seek_v hereby_o to_o win_v disciple_n unto_o chryst_n which_o may_v submit_v themselves_o unto_o his_o gospel_n and_o it_o be_v uncertain_a whether_o cleophas_n accord_v to_o his_o rudeness_n speak_v less_o honourable_o of_o christ_n than_o it_o become_v he_o or_o whether_o he_o intend_v to_o begin_v with_o the_o first_o prynciple_n that_o by_o degree_n he_o may_v proceed_v further_o for_o straight_o after_o he_o do_v not_o simple_o reckon_v chryst_n in_o the_o common_a order_n of_o the_o prophet_n but_o also_o say_v that_o he_o and_o other_o sometime_o believe_v he_o to_o be_v a_o redeemer_n mighty_a in_o deed_n and_o word_n c._n luke_n use_v almost_o the_o same_o form_n of_o word_n in_o the_o person_n of_o stephen_n â—2_n gospel_n namely_o when_o the_o knowledge_n of_o he_o be_v set_v forth_o in_o the_o law_n and_o the_o prophet_n for_o there_o be_v never_o at_o any_o time_n a_o more_o excellent_a teacher_n of_o the_o gospel_n than_o the_o lord_n himself_o who_o fetch_v as_o we_o see_v the_o proof_n of_o his_o doctrine_n from_o the_o law_n and_o the_o prophet_n wherefore_o to_o the_o end_n that_o christ_n may_v shine_v unto_o we_o at_o this_o day_n through_o the_o gospel_n we_o must_v needs_o have_v moses_n and_o the_o prophet_n before_o we_o as_o forerunner_n of_o the_o which_o thing_n the_o reader_n be_v moses_n and_o in_o the_o prophet_n concern_v chryst_n be_v to_o be_v apply_v unto_o he_o we_o can_v present_o declare_v it_o shall_v be_v sufficient_a brief_o to_o know_v that_o chryst_n be_v not_o in_o vain_a call_v the_o end_n of_o the_o law_n 1._o ronvere_n 1._o for_o how_o obscure_o and_o dark_o soever_o moses_n rather_o shadow_v chryste_n then_o express_v he_o this_o be_v without_o all_o father_n be_v hold_v up_o by_o the_o mediator_n that_o the_o sanctuary_n by_o which_o god_n declare_v the_o presence_n of_o his_o grace_n be_v consecrate_v with_o blood_n that_o the_o law_n itself_o with_o the_o promise_n thereof_o be_v ratify_v and_o establish_v with_o the_o sprynkeling_n of_o blood_n that_o there_o be_v one_o priest_n choose_v from_o among_o the_o rest_n of_o the_o people_n the_o tribe_n of_o juda_n but_o the_o prophet_n themselves_o have_v more_o plain_o set_v forth_o the_o mediator_n who_o notwithstanding_o have_v their_o first_o knowledge_n of_o he_o from_o moses_n because_o their_o office_n consist_v only_o in_o this_o to_o renew_v the_o memory_n of_o the_o covenaunte_n more_o plain_o to_o show_v the_o spiritual_a worship_n of_o god_n to_o build_v the_o trust_n of_o salvation_n upon_o the_o mediator_n and_o also_o more_o evydent_o to_o show_v the_o manner_n of_o reconciliation_n but_o because_o it_o please_v god_n to_o defer_v the_o full_a revelation_n until_o the_o come_n of_o his_o son_n this_o be_v no_o superfluous_a interpretation_n and_o it_o be_v to_o be_v wish_v that_o this_o speech_n and_o interpretation_n of_o chryst_n be_v extant_a then_o shall_v we_o not_o take_v so_o great_a pain_n in_o the_o interpretation_n of_o the_o scripture_n because_o those_o thing_n contain_v in_o they_o concern_v christ_n be_v very_o obscure_a but_o let_v we_o know_v that_o the_o lord_n will_v have_v so_o much_o extante_n as_o be_v needful_a for_o he_o will_v have_v our_o diligence_n sharpen_v howbeit_o the_o apostle_n have_v sufficient_o declare_v how_o the_o prophecy_n ought_v to_o be_v understand_v they_o do_v not_o explicate_v all_o place_n but_o do_v geeve_v unto_o we_o the_o key_n jest_n we_o shall_v complain_v that_o they_o be_v lock_v and_o hide_v from_o us._n 28._o and_o they_o draw_v nigh_o unto_o the_o town_n which_o they_o go_v unto_o and_o he_o make_v as_o though_o he_o will_v have_v go_v further_a a._n there_o be_v no_o
