contribution_n that_o you_o use_v to_o make_v unto_o the_o poor_a upon_o such_o occasion_n as_o these_o now_o all_o these_o be_v thing_n very_o fit_a to_o be_v do_v but_o yet_o you_o must_v take_v your_o serious_a purpose_n and_o resolution_n take_v hold_v of_o by_o a_o fast_a and_o a_o single_a hand_n of_o be_v divorce_v from_o all_o your_o know_a way_n of_o your_o several_a sin_n not_o only_o god_n for_o the_o pardon_n of_o the_o sin_n you_o have_v confess_v as_o well_o national_a as_o personal_a the_o put_v forth_o your_o strength_n and_o might_n yea_o and_o the_o increase_a your_o strength_n and_o might_n the_o provoke_a your_o heart_n to_o do_v more_o and_o more_o in_o this_o kind_n in_o importune_v the_o god_n of_o mercy_n to_o pour_v out_o of_o his_o grace_n and_o goodness_n those_o that_o trust_v in_o god_n in_o time_n of_o danger_n and_o trouble_n to_o commend_v and_o magnify_v the_o most_o infallible_a truth_n and_o certainty_n of_o the_o word_n of_o god_n for_o this_o reason_n especial_o as_o i_o conceive_v because_o the_o truth_n and_o certainty_n of_o it_o suffer_v most_o from_o the_o unbelieved_a heart_n of_o man_n in_o such_o promise_n as_o these_o and_o therefore_o the_o holy_a ghost_n here_o interpose_v a_o special_a testimony_n of_o the_o truth_n and_o faithfulness_n of_o it_o as_o it_o be_v on_o purpose_n to_o prevent_v and_o disappoint_v the_o the_o creature_n to_o stay_v itself_o upon_o god_n and_o to_o wait_v his_o leisure_n for_o its_o deliverance_n so_o be_v a_o compliance_n in_o god_n with_o his_o creature_n in_o this_o posture_n as_o it_o be_v of_o dependence_n comely_a and_o glorious_a in_o he_o the_o great_a god_n of_o heaven_n and_o earth_n have_v no_o apparel_n to_o put_v on_o in_o all_o that_o infinite_a charge_n and_o power_n or_o in_o his_o truth_n and_o faithfulness_n several_o and_o apart_o when_o he_o do_v not_o exercise_v any_o special_a act_n of_o dependence_n upon_o he_o a_o man_n may_v either_o in_o word_n kind_n or_o degree_n to_o make_v he_o a_o god_n indeed_o a_o god_n meet_v or_o worthy_a to_o be_v rely_v upon_o such_o a_o man_n will_v never_o be_v whole_a and_o entire_a and_o close_o in_o his_o dependence_n upon_o he_o there_o will_v be_v some_o falter_v and_o fumble_v as_o it_o be_v and_o rustiness_n in_o his_o faith_n the_o heart_n and_o soul_n of_o a_o man_n will_v still_o boggle_v and_o make_v a_o stand_n and_o demur_v yea_o and_o be_v ready_a to_o give_v back_o in_o such_o a_o case_n it_o be_v not_o the_o greatness_n of_o god_n alone_o that_o will_v make_v the_o creature_n depend_v soul_n shall_v not_o miscarry_v that_o no_o wind_n shall_v shake_v that_o corn_n of_o they_o or_o whether_o it_o be_v to_o be_v extend_v further_o to_o a_o outward_a protection_n also_o as_o that_o god_n will_v either_o preserve_v or_o keep_v they_o so_o that_o the_o trouble_n shall_v not_o take_v hold_n of_o they_o or_o hide_v they_o under_o his_o wing_n where_o the_o danger_n that_o find_v out_o other_o by_o hundred_o and_o thousand_o shall_v not_o find_v out_o he_o or_o at_o least_o that_o he_o will_v carry_v they_o through_o and_o bring_v they_o again_o with_o comfort_n and_o peace_n in_o this_o present_a world_n though_o they_o may_v happy_o drink_v deep_a of_o the_o cup_n with_o other_o 10._o for_o answer_v to_o this_o it_o be_v out_o of_o all_o controversy_n that_o that_o have_v their_o soul_n give_v they_o for_o a_o prey_n neither_o tribulation_n nor_o anguish_n nor_o persecution_n nor_o famine_n nor_o nakedness_n nor_o peril_n nor_o sword_n nor_o life_n nor_o death_n shall_v be_v able_a to_o separate_v they_o from_o the_o love_n of_o god_n in_o christ_n rom._n 8._o therefore_o of_o this_o there_o be_v no_o question_n 11_o but_o concern_v the_o other_o kind_n of_o the_o confirmation_n of_o the_o doctrine_n it_o seem_v that_o even_o this_o kind_n of_o protection_n also_o be_v here_o include_v if_o not_o principal_o and_o direct_o intend_v for_o so_o it_o follow_v and_o he_o shall_v be_v a_o sanctuary_n that_o be_v to_o say_v unto_o you_o as_o we_o say_v before_o but_o as_o a_o stumble_a stone_n and_o as_o a_o rock_n of_o offence_n to_o both_o the_o house_n etc._n etc._n this_o be_v apparent_o speak_v of_o of_o those_o outward_a and_o temporal_a judgement_n and_o calamity_n which_o the_o wicked_a jew_n both_o those_o of_o the_o ten_o tribe_n the_o absence_n of_o these_o thing_n in_o god_n will_v add_v to_o our_o dependence_n and_o bring_v it_o on_o the_o fast_a or_o increase_v the_o strength_n and_o confidence_n of_o it_o do_v we_o think_v we_o can_v sanctify_v he_o better_o in_o his_o other_o attribute_n if_o these_o be_v want_v doubtless_o a_o god_n without_o holiness_n and_o so_o without_o righteousness_n be_v no_o god_n to_o give_v they_o no_o rest_n neither_o night_n nor_o day_n but_o say_v our_o saviour_n in_o effect_n as_o he_o shall_v show_v himself_o a_o very_a weak_a and_o foolish_a man_n that_o can_v build_v
