profaneness_n than_o it_o be_v to_o empty_v these_o of_o their_o settle_a conceit_a religion_n and_o devotion_n and_o yet_o this_o with_o their_o religion_n and_o devotion_n can_v enter_v no_o more_o than_o the_o other_o with_o their_o profaneness_n you_o have_v a_o knowledge_n a_o righteousness_n a_o hope_n a_o faith_n etc._n etc._n found_v by_o your_o pretence_n to_o scripture_n who_o can_v to_o the_o word_n and_o spirit_n of_o life_n to_o know_v and_o hear_v the_o voice_n of_o christ_n which_o gather_v and_o translate_v man_n out_o of_o his_o own_o spirit_n into_o his_o spirit_n and_o here_o be_v no_o confusion_n or_o uncertainty_n but_o order_n certainty_n and_o stability_n the_o light_n of_o god_n spirit_n be_v a_o certain_a and_o infallible_a rule_n and_o the_o eye_n that_o see_v that_o be_v a_o certain_a eye_n whereas_o man_n understanding_n of_o the_o scripture_n be_v uncertain_a and_o fallible_a he_o have_v not_o the_o true_a ear_n receive_v such_o a_o literal_a uncertain_a knowledge_n of_o thing_n into_o his_o uncertain_a understanding_n as_o deceive_v his_o soul_n and_o here_o man_n in_o the_o midst_n of_o his_o wisdom_n and_o knowledge_n of_o the_o scripture_n be_v lose_v in_o his_o own_o err_a and_o uncertain_a mind_n and_o his_o soul_n deceive_v for_o want_v of_o a_o true_a root_n and_o foundation_n of_o certainty_n in_o himself_o but_o he_o that_o be_v come_v to_o the_o true_a shepherd_n and_o know_v his_o voice_n he_o can_v be_v deceive_v yea_o he_o can_v read_v the_o scripture_n safe_o and_o taste_v the_o true_a sweetness_n of_o they_o for_o he_o be_v in_o the_o life_n can_v taste_v the_o sweetness_n of_o the_o word_n that_o come_v from_o the_o life_n but_o man_n who_o be_v out_o of_o the_o life_n feed_v on_o the_o husk_n and_o can_v receive_v no_o more_o he_o have_v gather_v a_o dead_a dry_a literal_a husky_a knowledge_n out_o of_o the_o scripture_n and_o that_o he_o can_v relish_v but_o shall_v the_o life_n of_o the_o word_n and_o thing_n there_o speak_v of_o be_v open_v to_o he_o he_o can_v not_o receive_v they_o he_o himself_o be_v out_o of_o that_o wherewith_o they_o be_v write_v and_o wherein_o alone_o they_o can_v be_v understand_v but_o poor_a man_n have_v lose_v the_o life_n what_o shall_v he_o do_v he_o can_v do_v no_o other_o but_o cry_v up_o the_o letter_n and_o make_v as_o good_a shift_n with_o it_o as_o he_o can_v though_o his_o soul_n the_o mean_a while_o be_v starve_v and_o lie_v in_o famine_n and_o death_n for_o want_v of_o the_o bread_n of_o life_n and_o a_o wrong_a thing_n be_v feed_v the_o and_o which_o never_o shall_v be_v let_v into_o the_o truth_n and_o so_o be_v not_o able_a to_o reach_v and_o comprehend_v the_o truth_n as_o it_o be_v they_o study_v they_o invent_v they_o imagine_v a_o meaning_n they_o form_v a_o likeness_n a_o similitude_n of_o the_o truth_n as_o near_o as_o they_o can_v and_o this_o must_v go_v for_o the_o truth_n and_o this_o they_o honour_n and_o bow_v before_o as_o the_o will_n of_o god_n which_o be_v not_o the_o will_n of_o god_n but_o a_o likeness_n of_o their_o own_o invent_v and_o form_v they_o
