decency_n of_o god_n worship_n how_o stiff_o be_v they_o in_o they_o that_o the_o mouth_n of_o the_o most_o godly_a minister_n must_v be_v stop_v if_o they_o will_v not_o conform_v to_o they_o but_o and_o reasonable_a for_o the_o time_n as_o in_o the_o point_n of_o their_o own_o feastival_n and_o holy_a day_n those_o that_o will_v persecute_v to_o the_o uttermost_a man_n that_o shall_v work_v but_o to_o get_v bread_n for_o their_o family_n on_o a_o holiday_n holiday_n yet_o they_o can_v publish_v book_n of_o sport_n for_o the_o profanation_n of_o the_o lord_n day_n sabbath_n and_o thus_o the_o great_a thing_n of_o god_n law_n they_o be_v strange_a thing_n but_o their_o own_o thing_n holiday_n be_v great_a matter_n sure_o if_o it_o be_v such_o a_o great_a matter_n to_o keep_v the_o festival_n of_o christ_n nativity_n we_o shall_v have_v some_o hint_n of_o it_o from_o the_o begin_n of_o matthew_n to_o the_o end_n of_o the_o revelation_n christmas_n but_o when_o god_n give_v not_o the_o least_o hint_n of_o any_o such_o time_n and_o mark_v it_o those_o people_n that_o stand_v most_o upon_o such_o festival_n they_o stand_v least_o upon_o god_n sabbath_n and_o indeed_o you_o shall_v have_v many_o people_n which_o think_v it_o a_o strange_a thing_n for_o man_n not_o to_o have_v regard_n to_o such_o festival_n why_o may_v not_o we_o keep_v the_o birth_n of_o our_o saviour_n which_o will_v work_v for_o it_o i_o beseech_v you_o observe_v these_o work_n of_o your_o heart_n seven_o practice_n there_o will_v be_v a_o engagement_n in_o some_o practice_n not_o allow_v by_o the_o word_n then_o a_o man_n grow_v further_a estrange_v from_o his_o friend_n when_o he_o do_v not_o only_o refrain_v come_v into_o his_o company_n but_o he_o will_v engage_v himself_o into_o some_o be_v a_o great_a deal_n of_o ill_a stuff_n that_o seem_v to_o be_v cast_v out_o and_o many_o good_a thing_n be_v set_v upon_o in_o the_o worship_n of_o god_n that_o be_v not_o former_o yet_o you_o must_v plough_v plough_v up_o your_o fallow_a ground_n the_o holy_a ghost_n join_v of_o they_o together_o sow_v righteousness_n and_o plough_v up_o your_o fallow_a ground_n this_o note_n i_o will_v truth_n and_o see_v what_o they_o will_v do_v in_o thy_o soul_n you_o must_v work_v they_o in_o and_o let_v conscience_n be_v put_v on_o to_o draw_v this_o plough_n these_o be_v as_o the_o ploughshare_n and_o the_o work_n of_o conscience_n be_v the_o draw_v of_o this_o plough_n while_o the_o plough_n stop_v as_o when_o it_o meet_v with_o a_o thorn_n and_o briar_n now_o a_o strong_a conscience_n will_v draw_v it_o on_o and_o will_v make_v the_o thorn_n and_o briar_n to_o be_v rend_v up_o by_o the_o root_n if_o the_o conscience_n be_v put_v upon_o with_o strength_n to_o draw_v these_o truth_n in_o the_o soul_n and_o though_o they_o put_v you_o to_o pain_n yet_o you_o must_v be_v content_a to_o draw_v they_o on_o in_o the_o soul_n and_o if_o these_o and_o the_o like_a be_v talk_v and_o confer_v of_o good_a thing_n these_o thing_n be_v pretty_a easy_a but_o to_o go_v to_o plough_v to_o plough_v with_o such_o truth_n as_o these_o be_v to_o get_v up_o the_o thorn_n and_o briar_n by_o the_o root_n this_o be_v a_o very_a hard_a task_n but_o we_o must_v be_v willing_a to_o do_v it_o and_o to_o continue_v plough_v as_o the_o fallow_a ground_n must_v not_o only_o and_o your_o heart_n have_v lie_v fallow_a all_o this_o while_n do_v not_o think_v it_o enough_o that_o once_o you_o have_v be_v humble_v but_o be_v often_o plough_v up_o this_o fallow_a ground_n minister_n of_o the_o gospel_n to_o the_o plough_n he_o that_o put_v his_o haud_z to_o the_o plough_n and_o look_v back_o be_v not_o fit_a for_o the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n not_o fit_a to_o be_v employ_v in_o the_o administration_n of_o the_o gospel_n though_o these_o man_n cry_v out_o so_o much_o of_o humiliation_n for_o sin_n which_o be_v as_o strange_a a_o generation_n as_o ever_o have_v rise_v up_o that_o shall_v cry_v out_o of_o that_o when_o there_o be_v nothing_o more_o humble_v for_o sin_n than_o the_o price_n that_o be_v pay_v for_o sin_n in_o the_o blood_n of_o jesus_n christ_n generation_n of_o man_n though_o in_o some_o thing_n they_o may_v fail_v yet_o certain_o god_n bless_a they_o in_o their_o way_n so_o far_o as_o it_o be_v according_a to_o truth_n no_o marvel_n though_o these_o man_n bring_v forth_o such_o little_a fruit_n of_o righteousness_n reason_n it_o be_v because_o they_o sow_v among_o thorn_n 21._o present_o they_o be_v up_o at_o the_o top_n and_o so_o confident_a present_o in_o their_o way_n their_o seed_n be_v among_o thorn_n and_o therefore_o it_o do_v not_o prosper_v and_o thus_o much_o for_o this_o expression_n about_o the_o plough_v up_o so_o they_o drink_v in_o more_o and_o more_o &_o so_o come_v to_o be_v strengthen_v for_o that_o way_n so_o as_o to_o put_v off_o the_o strength_n of_o any_o thing_n that_o can_v be_v say_v against_o the_o way_n except_o it_o be_v so_o apparent_a as_o whether_o they_o will_v nor_o no_o they_o must_v be_v force_v to_o sin_n against_o their_o conscience_n direct_o if_o they_o go_v another_o way_n i_o say_v when_o the_o spirit_n of_o man_n be_v bias_v by_o see_v the_o strength_n of_o the_o kingdom_n go_v in_o a_o way_n though_o perhaps_o they_o may_v have_v some_o good_a lie_n at_o their_o heart_n yet_o there_o be_v that_o corruption_n in_o man_n heart_n that_o except_o we_o can_v make_v the_o other_o way_n so_o clear_a that_o notwithstanding_o all_o shift_n and_o all_o kind_n of_o reason_v that_o may_v be_v they_o shall_v be_v self-condemned_n in_o their_o own_o conscience_n that_o their_o conscience_n shall_v tell_v they_o they_o go_v direct_o against_o their_o light_n i_o say_v except_o we_o can_v come_v thus_o we_o can_v prevail_v with_o man_n heart_n when_o the_o sway_n of_o a_o kingdom_n go_v another_o way_n and_o there_o be_v many_o truth_n of_o god_n that_o concern_v his_o worship_n that_o can_v be_v make_v so_o clear_a but_o that_o a_o man_n may_v have_v such_o a_o diversion_n to_o satisfy_v his_o conscience_n in_o this_o that_o i_o in_o go_v another_o way_n do_v not_o go_v against_o my_o conscience_n god_n will_v have_v we_o that_o what_o be_v most_o likely_a to_o be_v his_o mind_n that_o way_n to_o go_v without_o any_o consideration_n of_o any_o outward_a respect_n now_o if_o there_o be_v a_o temptation_n for_o outward_a respect_n that_o they_o will_v come_v into_o the_o balance_n do_v but_o turn_v the_o balance_n and_o suppose_v in_o your_o own_o heart_n that_o all_o outward_a respect_n be_v in_o the_o other_o balance_n that_o all_o the_o mighty_a man_n be_v of_o the_o other_o way_n what_o will_v your_o heart_n think_v 3._o in_o revel_v 13._o 3._o that_o when_o power_n and_o authority_n be_v give_v unto_o antichrist_n the_o whole_a world_n wonder_v after_o she_o so_o it_o be_v ordinary_a that_o way_n that_o the_o mighty_a man_n go_v that_o way_n man_n heart_n will_v general_o go_v oh_o the_o little_a honour_n that_o jesus_n christ_n have_v by_o we_o our_o heart_n be_v sway_v for_o the_o most_o part_n by_o carnal_a argument_n and_o carnal_a motive_n again_o they_o trust_v in_o their_o way_n and_o in_o the_o multitude_n of_o their_o mighty_a men._n great_a army_n be_v the_o thing_n that_o be_v the_o confidence_n of_o carnal_a heart_n 3._o when_o they_o can_v get_v a_o great_a army_n up_o of_o a_o multitude_n of_o mighty_a man_n let_v there_o be_v never_o such_o threat_n in_o the_o word_n yet_o if_o they_o think_v they_o have_v strength_n enough_o to_o bear_v they_o out_o they_o bless_v themselves_o in_o that_o oh_o let_v we_o take_v heed_n of_o this_o carnal_a confidence_n through_o god_n mercy_n the_o lord_n have_v give_v we_o now_o that_o we_o have_v the_o multitude_n of_o mighty_a man_n on_o our_o side_n engl._n let_v we_o take_v heed_n that_o our_o faith_n do_v not_o ebb_n and_o flow_v as_o our_o can_v help_v we_o why_o do_v asa_n speak_v thus_o have_v he_o no_o power_n you_o shall_v find_v in_o the_o chapter_n a_o little_a before_o that_o asa_n have_v five_o hundred_o and_o fourscore_o that_o be_v the_o way_n of_o religion_n they_o think_v that_o be_v good_a but_o have_v they_o have_v nothing_o else_o to_o trust_v in_o but_o that_o their_o trust_n will_v not_o have_v be_v very_o sure_o from_o thence_o the_o note_n be_v this_o 4._o that_o those_o who_o trust_v to_o any_o way_n of_o their_o own_o have_v need_n of_o creature_n strength_n to_o uphold_v they_o it_o be_v a_o note_n of_o very_o great_a use_n they_o have_v need_n of_o bladder_n to_o be_v under_o their_o armhole_n if_o they_o trust_v in_o a_o way_n of_o their_o own_o but_o now_o if_o the_o way_n be_v the_o way_n of_o god_n that_o a_o man_n have_v confidence_n in_o why_o then_o though_o all_o outward_a help_n shall_v fail_v he_o though_o all_o encouragement_n shall_v fail_v in_o this_o world_n though_o we_o shall_v see_v the_o creature_n at_o never_o so_o great_a a_o distance_n yet_o the_o heart_n that_o have_v confidence_n in_o god_n way_n have_v enough_o to_o uphold_v it_o here_o be_v the_o difference_n between_o man_n trust_v in_o their_o own_o way_n and_o in_o god_n way_n indeed_o when_o man_n trust_v in_o their_o own_o way_n so_o long_o as_o the_o sun_n shine_v upon_o their_o way_n that_o they_o have_v external_a help_n they_o can_v go_v on_o confident_a but_o let_v outward_a help_n fail_v and_o their_o heart_n sink_v within_o they_o but_o now_o when_o the_o heart_n be_v
