in_o a_o flame_n of_o fire_n do_v pronounce_v so_o terrible_o in_o the_o bear_n of_o they_o all_o as_o that_o they_o tremble_v and_o come_v to_o moses_n request_v he_o that_o they_o may_v no_o more_o it_o be_v above_o the_o wit_n of_o man_n or_o angel_n to_o contain_v in_o so_o few_o word_n the_o whole_a perfection_n of_o our_o duty_n to_o god_n and_o man_n the_o law_n of_o man_n though_o they_o fill_v many_o large_a book_n and_o great_a volume_n yet_o they_o be_v imperfect_a and_o do_v continual_o stand_v in_o need_n to_o have_v some_o increase_n or_o diminish_v and_o daily_a some_o thing_n be_v add_v to_o they_o that_o be_v not_o before_o think_v upon_o and_o some_o thing_n be_v take_v away_o which_o now_o more_o experience_n have_v prove_v not_o to_o be_v so_o profitable_a so_o that_o yet_o they_o still_o stand_v in_o need_n of_o renew_v and_o mend_v but_o now_o this_o law_n be_v so_o absolute_a and_o do_v set_v forth_o so_o full_a and_o complete_a a_o righteousness_n that_o if_o one_o can_v keep_v they_o all_o he_o shall_v be_v full_o acceptable_a unto_o god_n and_o need_v not_o fly_v to_o christ_n to_o be_v his_o redeemer_n for_o indeed_o this_o meet_v with_o all_o sin_n yea_o with_o the_o first_o &_o least_o motion_n as_o paul_n say_v that_o he_o have_v not_o know_v that_o lust_n mean_v the_o motion_n of_o original_a concupiscence_n have_v be_v sin_n but_o that_o the_o law_n say_v thou_o shall_v not_o lust_n and_o as_o their_o perfection_n of_o holiness_n do_v witness_v sufficient_o from_o what_o a_o one_o they_o have_v their_o beginning_n so_o second_o this_o will_v prove_v they_o to_o be_v the_o word_n of_o god_n because_o they_o be_v ingraff_v and_o write_v and_o engrave_v in_o every_o man_n conscience_n so_o that_o let_v wicked_a man_n shuffle_v and_o take_v one_o and_o keep_v what_o stir_n they_o can_v to_o make_v themselves_o atheist_n yet_o it_o will_v not_o be_v they_o can_v blot_v out_o god_n writing_n these_o law_n stick_v imprint_v in_o their_o heart_n and_o soul_n so_o firm_o as_o they_o can_v be_v remove_v for_o as_o paul_n say_v in_o the_o acts._n 17._o god_n have_v not_o leave_v himself_o without_o witness_n but_o in_o every_o man_n bosom_n and_o in_o every_o one_o nature_n have_v plant_v so_o much_o of_o this_o his_o law_n as_o will_v serve_v to_o leave_v they_o without_o excuse_n and_o to_o condemn_v they_o for_o who_o be_v there_o among_o the_o most_o profane_a and_o absurd_a of_o man_n who_o soul_n do_v not_o constrain_v he_o even_o against_o his_o will_n sometime_o to_o confess_v that_o there_o be_v a_o god_n and_o one_o only_a true_a god_n and_o that_o this_o god_n be_v to_o be_v worship_v also_o so_o as_o be_v most_o please_v to_o he_o and_o that_o he_o be_v not_o to_o be_v blaspheme_v nor_o his_o name_n to_o be_v abuse_v but_o that_o he_o be_v to_o be_v reverence_v and_o sometime_o to_o be_v set_v a_o part_n and_o consecrate_v to_o his_o worship_n who_o can_v blur_v out_o these_o law_n out_o of_o themselves_o do_v they_o what_o they_o can_v and_o strive_v they_o never_o so_o much_o to_o choke_v these_o seed_n of_o knowledge_n so_o for_o the_o second_o table_n of_o they_o what_o man_n nature_n do_v not_o tell_v he_o that_o there_o be_v a_o order_n of_o government_n among_o man_n which_o must_v not_o nor_o can_v without_o sin_n be_v violate_v and_o so_o heathen_a and_o profane_a ungodly_a man_n have_v commit_v murdure_n be_v not_o able_a to_o stand_v before_o the_o fury_n of_o their_o own_o conscience_n but_o be_v in_o a_o continual_a chase_n &_o vexation_n which_o show_v that_o even_o corrupt_a nature_n bring_v with_o it_o this_o knowledge_n into_o the_o world_n that_o one_o must_v not_o kill_v and_o for_o filthy_a person_n and_o adulterer_n though_o in_o time_n of_o their_o prosperity_n they_o have_v soothe_v up_o themselves_o and_o harden_v their_o own_o heart_n by_o live_v in_o pleasure_n and_o give_v themselves_o to_o idleness_n and_o the_o lust_n of_o their_o heart_n and_o so_o seem_v to_o blot_v out_o this_o law_n yet_o in_o misery_n when_o any_o affliction_n have_v waken_v their_o drowsy_a heart_n and_o conscience_n these_o will_v give_v they_o no_o rest_n nor_o they_o dare_v not_o abide_v the_o face_n of_o their_o own_o conscience_n but_o be_v drive_v to_o acknowledge_v the_o filthiness_n of_o their_o sin_n beside_o this_o place_n that_o they_o have_v in_o man_n nature_n which_o prove_v they_o come_v from_o god_n man_n lord_n this_o also_o prove_v they_o to_o be_v his_o because_o all_o the_o punishment_n that_o be_v at_o any_o time_n inflict_v upon_o the_o world_n have_v come_v from_o the_o disobedience_n against_o this_o law_n and_o all_o the_o blessing_n and_o benefit_n that_o man_n enjoy_v do_v proceed_v from_o the_o disobedience_n yield_v to_o it_o for_o when_o god_n set_v down_o his_o curse_n and_o his_o blessing_n be_v they_o not_o all_o ground_a on_o this_o law_n do_v it_o not_o run_v thus_o if_o thou_o observe_v and_o keep_v this_o law_n then_o thou_o shall_v be_v bless_v in_o soul_n in_o body_n in_o child_n in_o cattle_n in_o field_n in_o all_o thing_n thou_o put_v thy_o hand_n unto_o contrary_o if_o thou_o will_v not_o obey_v but_o neglecte_v these_o then_o shall_v thou_o be_v curse_v in_o body_n in_o soul_n in_o child_n in_o all_o thou_o put_v thy_o hand_n unto_o so_o that_o since_o god_n have_v so_o great_a care_n to_o punish_v those_o that_o rebel_n against_o these_o law_n and_o to_o reward_v those_o that_o perform_v obedience_n to_o they_o it_o prove_v that_o he_o be_v the_o lawmaker_n and_o that_o though_o the_o law_n be_v brief_a in_o word_n yet_o it_o be_v full_a of_o matter_n and_o much_o to_o be_v mark_v and_o think_v on_o last_o christ_n himself_o come_v into_o the_o world_n to_o perform_v obedience_n to_o these_o law_n for_o they_o require_v a_o perfect_a and_o absolute_a obedience_n as_o they_o be_v perfect_a which_o since_o no_o man_n can_v do_v therefore_o christ_n take_v our_o flesh_n upon_o he_o to_o fulfil_v they_o that_o as_o adam_n by_o his_o disobedience_n have_v cast_v we_o out_o of_o paradise_n so_o he_o by_o his_o obedience_n may_v let_v we_o into_o heaven_n and_o he_o come_v not_o only_o to_o obey_v they_o himself_o full_o but_o also_o to_o make_v his_o saint_n able_a to_o obey_v they_o to_o though_o not_o in_o perfection_n and_o without_o any_o defect_n for_o that_o only_o he_o himself_o can_v do_v yet_o in_o truth_n and_o perfect_a sincerity_n for_o that_o he_o require_v all_o his_o child_n &_o member_n to_o do_v so_o that_o these_o reason_n will_v confirm_v that_o which_o be_v say_v before_o that_o the_o ten_o commandment_n be_v after_o a_o perculiar_a sort_n the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o do_v more_o peculiar_o challenge_v he_o for_o their_o author_n the_o use_n that_o we_o must_v make_v of_o this_o to_o ourselves_o be_v to_o teach_v we_o first_o to_o hearken_v unto_o they_o and_o willing_o to_o here_o the_o rebuke_n and_o admonition_n that_o be_v contain_v in_o they_o whosoever_o and_o whatsoever_o he_o be_v that_o apply_v they_o and_o speak_v they_o unto_o and_o indeed_o hence_o we_o shall_v show_v ourselves_o in_o truth_n to_o believe_v abigail_n a_o woman_n and_o mean_a in_o comparison_n of_o he_o come_v alone_o and_o bring_v with_o she_o the_o sword_n of_o the_o spirit_n the_o law_n of_o god_n that_o it_o be_v not_o lawful_a for_o he_o to_o commit_v murder_n and_o to_o revenge_v his_o own_o cause_n what_o though_o nabal_n have_v do_v injury_n she_o deny_v not_o but_o he_o be_v as_o his_o name_n signify_v a_o fool_n and_o the_o fool_n have_v do_v foolish_o that_o be_v not_o the_o question_n though_o but_o this_o she_o will_v know_v of_o david_n whether_o he_o may_v lawful_o kill_v one_o in_o his_o own_o private_a revenge_n fearful_o and_o strange_o by_o the_o hand_n god_n and_o neither_o his_o kingdom_n nor_o his_o wealth_n nor_o any_o thing_n can_v keep_v off_o the_o judgement_n of_o god_n and_o destruction_n from_o he_o so_o then_o will_v we_o show_v that_o we_o do_v in_o truth_n beeleeve_v that_o these_o be_v the_o word_n of_o god_n we_o must_v when_o any_o man_n shall_v press_v any_o of_o these_o law_n unto_o we_o straight_o way_n yield_v and_o stoop_v unto_o they_o and_o we_o do_v then_o confess_v that_o god_n speak_v all_o these_o word_n but_o if_o one_o begin_v to_o shift_v and_o cloak_n and_o colour_n and_o distinguish_v than_o he_o declare_v evident_o that_o his_o hart_n be_v not_o persuade_v that_o god_n be_v the_o author_n of_o these_o law_n the_o second_o use_n that_o we_o must_v make_v of_o this_o that_o god_n speak_v all_o these_o word_n be_v that_o therefore_o we_o must_v not_o be_v afraid_a nor_o ashamed_a to_o stand_v for_o they_o and_o defend_v they_o as_o also_o to_o practice_v they_o in_o our_o life_n though_o the_o atheist_n and_o the_o profane_a swine_n of_o the_o world_n mock_v and_o scoff_n at_o we_o never_o so_o much_o for_o the_o same_o for_o what_o need_n we_o be_v ashamed_a to_o maintain_v those_o word_n which_o god_n himself_o be_v not_o ashamed_a in_o his_o own_o person_n to_o speak_v if_o we_o do_v remember_v what_o christ_n say_v he_o that_o be_v ashamed_a of_o i_o before_o man_n in_o this_o world_n i_o will_v be_v ashamed_a of_o he_o before_o my_o father_n in_o the_o world_n to_o come_v if_o god_n have_v but_o send_v his_o angel_n unto_o we_o with_o any_o commandment_n the_o gloriousnesse_n of_o such_o messenger_n shall_v have_v might_n to_o make_v we_o bold_a to_o defend_v and_o stand_v for_o the_o message_n but_o since_o god_n do_v not_o send_v a_o host_n of_o angel_n but_o come_v himself_o in_o his_o magestie_n accompany_v with_o all_o his_o holy_a angel_n attend_v and_o wait_v one_o he_o shall_v we_o not_o now_o give_v much_o more_o reverence_n to_o those_o thing_n which_o he_o speak_v and_o take_v much_o more_o courage_n to_o stand_v for_o the_o maintenance_n of_o his_o commandment_n this_o serve_v therefore_o exceed_o to_o condemn_v their_o dastardlynesse_n that_o be_v afraid_a to_o keep_v the_o sabbath_n or_o to_o do_v any_o such_o duty_n because_o they_o shall_v be_v count_v puritan_fw-gr but_o be_v it_o not_o better_a that_o man_n shall_v hate_v we_o without_o cause_n then_o that_o god_n shall_v have_v a_o quarrel_n against_o we_o upon_o a_o just_a cause_n be_v not_o it_o much_o better_a that_o they_o shall_v scoff_n at_o we_o for_o good_a then_o that_o god_n shall_v plague_v we_o for_o evil_a what_o a_o shame_n be_v it_o for_o we_o therefore_o that_o when_o we_o he_o be_v wicked_a heretic_n speak_v against_o the_o law_n of_o god_n and_o profane_a atheist_n break_v his_o law_n and_o blaspheme_v his_o name_n we_o shall_v pluck_v in_o our_o horn_n and_o become_v mute_a as_o though_o it_o be_v a_o matter_n of_o some_o great_a discredit_n for_o we_o to_o speak_v for_o that_o which_o god_n himself_o in_o his_o own_o person_n have_v speak_v unto_o us._n three_o this_o serve_v to_o prove_v this_o law_n to_o be_v spiritual_a for_o such_o a_o one_o as_o god_n be_v which_o make_v the_o law_n such_o a_o one_o be_v that_o law_n which_o he_o make_v it_o reach_v therefore_o to_o the_o inward_a hart_n of_o every_o man_n and_o lie_v close_o upon_o his_o conscience_n and_o indeed_o in_o this_o it_o do_v especial_o differ_v from_o the_o law_n of_o man_n for_o they_o do_v tie_v the_o tongue_n and_o the_o hand_n and_o the_o foot_n to_o the_o good_a upbearance_n and_o take_v notice_n if_o any_o oft_o this_o be_v faulty_a against_o they_o but_o they_o meddle_v not_o with_o the_o hart_n and_o make_v no_o question_n of_o the_o inward_a motion_n of_o the_o soul_n because_o man_n can_v bring_v in_o no_o proof_n of_o the_o breach_n of_o such_o a_o law_n nor_o can_v have_v no_o witness_n of_o such_o fault_n but_o god_n search_v the_o hart_n and_o tri_v the_o reins_n &_o enter_v into_o the_o secret_n of_o the_o soul_n and_o therefore_o he_o command_v to_o love_v he_o with_o all_o our_o hart_n and_o with_o all_o our_o soul_n not_o content_v with_o such_o a_o love_n only_o as_o be_v declare_v by_o the_o outward_a behaviour_n of_o the_o body_n and_o so_o for_o our_o neighbour_n he_o command_v every_o one_o to_o love_v his_o neighbour_n as_o himself_o now_o we_o know_v that_o man_n do_v love_v themselves_o with_o a_o deep_a and_o inward_a love_n not_o outward_o only_a in_o salutation_n and_o courtesy_n and_o good_a speech_n but_o every_o man_n love_v himself_o in_o truth_n with_o a_o good_a meaning_n and_o in_o good_a earnest_n not_o dissemble_o so_o must_v all_o the_o obedience_n perform_v to_o god_n proceed_v from_o within_o and_o come_v from_o the_o hart_n else_o it_o shall_v be_v no_o whit_n acceptable_a to_o he_o that_o that_o grow_v without_o if_o it_o come_v not_o from_o the_o root_n of_o uprightness_n and_o sincerity_n
pardon_n &_o know_v that_o the_o judge_n come_v to_o deliver_v he_o &_o to_o do_v he_o good_a also_o when_o we_o hear_v of_o god_n goodness_n and_o patience_n and_o mercy_n this_o will_v be_v but_o a_o vexation_n to_o we_o unless_o we_o know_v that_o he_o be_v good_a &_o merciful_a to_o us._n this_o add_v to_o the_o grief_n to_o hear_v that_o god_n be_v good_a if_o we_o must_v not_o feel_v it_o that_o such_o good_a thing_n be_v lay_v up_o in_o store_n for_o god_n child_n but_o he_o must_v taste_v of_o none_o of_o they_o as_o for_o a_o poor_a beggarly_a fellow_n that_o have_v nothing_o to_o hear_v tell_v of_o large_a possession_n &_o great_a revenue_n that_o must_v be_v leave_v to_o such_o &_o such_o a_o one_o this_o be_v a_o tedious_a anguish_n unto_o he_o &_o make_v his_o misery_n more_o bitter_a so_o that_o nothing_o can_v move_v or_o allure_v we_o to_o obey_v god_n till_o we_o know_v that_o he_o be_v good_a to_o we_o &_o will_v give_v we_o salvation_n the_o use_n of_o this_o this_o that_o this_o sabbath_n be_v moral_a and_o perpetual_a which_o since_o it_o be_v so_o the_o use_n be_v for_o the_o confutation_n of_o such_o as_o sharpen_v their_o tongue_n and_o wit_n and_o open_v their_o mouth_n to_o speak_v against_o it_o not_o content_a to_o take_v liberty_n themselves_o but_o will_v make_v a_o gap_n for_o other_o to_o break_v out_o also_o it_o be_v a_o vild_a and_o uprightness_n and_o rebel_v against_o god_n the_o next_o work_n he_o take_v in_o hand_n be_v to_o allure_v adam_n to_o sin_n and_o make_v he_o as_o very_o a_o rebel_n against_o god_n as_o himself_o so_o these_o wicked_a man_n limb_n of_o the_o devil_n that_o themselves_o be_v corrupt_v and_o lie_v under_o the_o curse_n of_o god_n will_v take_v so_o much_o pain_n about_o nothing_o as_o to_o pervert_v other_o and_o be_v stark_o naught_o themselves_o to_o make_v all_o man_n if_o it_o may_v be_v like_o they_o this_o also_o be_v for_o our_o instruction_n that_o we_o must_v so_o rest_v upon_o god_n reason_n and_o so_o stand_v for_o his_o worship_n as_o that_o every_o blast_n and_o objection_n of_o a_o profane_a person_n may_v not_o blow_v we_o away_o and_o weaken_v our_o reverence_n to_o god_n ordinance_n it_o be_v a_o great_a fault_n that_o we_o be_v no_o better_o confirm_v in_o the_o truth_n but_o that_o every_o breath_n of_o a_o heretic_n will_v put_v we_o down_o and_o set_v we_o and_o carry_v away_o of_o their_o lust_n when_o the_o often_o preach_v of_o the_o truth_n can_v so_o establish_v they_o it_o as_o that_o they_o can_v say_v we_o be_v so_o resolve_v in_o our_o heart_n that_o this_o be_v the_o truth_n of_o god_n as_o that_o by_o god_n mercy_n we_o have_v rather_o forsake_v our_o life_n then_o forsake_v it_o but_o none_o can_v attain_v to_o such_o knowledge_n but_o such_o as_o have_v a_o pure_a and_o a_o upright_a hart_n and_o this_o that_o man_n be_v so_o quick_o move_v from_o the_o truth_n be_v not_o because_o of_o the_o strength_n of_o the_o argument_n make_v against_o it_o but_o by_o reason_n of_o their_o own_o weakness_n which_o have_v not_o the_o spirit_n of_o truth_n to_o lead_v they_o into_o the_o truth_n and_o to_o confirm_v and_o show_v they_o error_n and_o heresy_n and_o make_v they_o loathsome_a unto_o they_o and_o give_v they_o power_n against_o they_o therefore_o we_o must_v labour_v for_o this_o spirit_n of_o truth_n which_o may_v so_o settle_v and_o ground_v we_o in_o the_o truth_n as_o that_o every_o storm_n of_o a_o false_a opinion_n from_o the_o mouth_n of_o some_o fantastical_a and_o vain_a person_n that_o have_v no_o godliness_n nor_o learning_n to_o commend_v he_o that_o never_o do_v any_o thing_n nor_o suffer_v any_o thing_n for_o christ_n sake_n may_v not_o weaken_v our_o hold_n and_o shake_v our_o foundation_n and_o cast_v we_o down_o from_o the_o truth_n that_o we_o shall_v be_v seduce_v by_o they_o nay_o we_o shall_v be_v so_o far_o from_o yield_v to_o the_o false_a dream_n of_o such_o as_o that_o when_o they_o grow_v obstinate_a we_o shall_v not_o show_v the_o least_o token_n of_o allowance_n or_o any_o countenance_n to_o they_o we_o shall_v not_o entertain_v they_o or_o receive_v they_o to_o house_n or_o bid_v they_o god_n speed_n for_o he_o that_o do_v so_o as_o saint_n john_n say_v be_v partaker_n of_o his_o evil_a deed_n because_o in_o so_o do_v he_o confirm_v they_o in_o their_o sin_n &_o home_n that_o be_v contemn_v of_o every_o one_o abroad_o this_o be_v to_o lay_v a_o great_a burden_n upon_o he_o that_o all_o ready_a sink_v under_o it_o therefore_o if_o servant_n reverence_v their_o so_o much_o for_o the_o duty_n of_o husband_n and_o wife_n which_o i_o do_v not_o so_o speak_v as_o though_o be_v be_v in_o the_o power_n or_o nature_n of_o any_o man_n or_o woman_n to_o perform_v these_o duty_n nay_o by_o nature_n man_n be_v incline_v to_o the_o contrary_n the_o wife_n be_v natural_o disobedient_a and_o stubborn_a prone_a to_o conteme_z and_o despise_v her_o husband_n and_o he_o be_v prone_a to_o be_v wander_v abroad_o and_o take_v more_o delight_n in_o any_o one_o company_n then_o his_o own_o wife_n and_o if_o he_o be_v with_o she_o at_o any_o time_n he_o be_v so_o destitute_a of_o all_o true_a save_a knowledge_n as_o that_o he_o be_v ready_a always_o to_o be_v either_o light_n or_o foolish_a or_o else_o sour_a and_o churlish_a and_o to_o do_v she_o hurt_v by_o his_o example_n and_o make_v she_o worse_o rather_o than_o better_a and_o both_o of_o they_o be_v destitute_a of_o all_o true_a and_o spiritual_a love_n one_o of_o the_o other_o but_o god_n show_v these_o duty_n in_o his_o word_n to_o the_o end_n that_o we_o see_v our_o sin_n and_o our_o weakness_n may_v bewail_v our_o want_n before_o god_n and_o beseech_v he_o that_o require_v these_o thing_n charge_n that_o god_n will_v pardon_v all_o their_o sin_n and_o heal_v their_o nature_n and_o make_v his_o doctrine_n effectual_a to_o work_v grace_n and_o salvation_n in_o their_o heart_n and_o while_n he_o can_v with_o that_o spirit_n and_o courage_n pray_v to_o god_n for_o you_o and_o so_o powerful_o and_o cheerful_o preach_v the_o word_n of_o god_n unto_o you_o this_o confute_v they_o that_o brag_n of_o there_o good_a deal_n with_o the_o minister_n and_o think_v they_o pay_v he_o all_o his_o due_n as_o well_o as_o any_o man_n and_o take_v it_o as_o a_o wrong_n that_o the_o minister_n esteem_v not_o of_o they_o as_o well_o as_o he_o do_v of_o any_o but_o do_v they_o perform_v their_o duty_n and_o what_o duty_n be_v it_o they_o perform_v do_v they_o obey_v the_o gospel_n which_o he_o preach_v and_o submit_v themselves_o to_o his_o doctrine_n this_o be_v the_o heart_n of_o duty_n and_o where_o this_o be_v not_o there_o be_v no_o duty_n do_v worth_a thanks_n lest_o they_o they_o convert_v they_o do_v not_o pay_v the_o minister_n his_o due_n for_o a_o faithful_a pastor_n and_o man_n of_o god_n regard_v not_o so_o much_o the_o tithe_n and_o look_n not_o to_o the_o fleece_n he_o come_v as_o christ_n say_v to_o peter_n to_o be_v a_o fisher_n of_o man_n and_o if_o they_o will_v not_o be_v draw_v out_o of_o their_o lust_n and_o sin_n by_o his_o preach_n it_o be_v you_o think_v to_o deceive_v a_o other_o but_o indeed_o you_o overreach_v yourself_o yourselves_o be_v deceive_v at_o the_o length_n for_o though_o this_o cunning_a deal_n may_v happy_o be_v hide_v live_v by_o the_o altar_n so_o that_o it_o be_v the_o people_n duty_n free_o and_o without_o grudge_v to_o help_v the_o minister_n with_o sufficient_a allowance_n for_o matter_n of_o this_o life_n last_o they_o must_v give_v he_o maintenance_n against_o the_o wrong_n of_o bad_a man_n as_o it_o be_v note_v of_o aquila_n and_o priscilla_n that_o they_o stand_v for_o paul_n and_o that_o be_v not_o a_o thing_n that_o he_o alone_o be_v bind_v to_o be_v thankful_a to_o they_o for_o but_o in_o so_o do_v they_o deserve_v thanks_n of_o the_o whole_a church_n which_o receive_v good_a by_o his_o ministry_n and_o if_o this_o duty_n be_v careful_o perform_v persecuter_n will_v not_o be_v so_o bold_a and_o audacious_a to_o molest_v and_o trouble_v the_o minister_n and_o faithful_a man_n of_o god_n as_o they_o be_v but_o it_o come_v oft_o so_o to_o pass_v that_o though_o the_o minister_n be_v in_o all_o thing_n faithful_a to_o his_o power_n and_o bear_v such_o a_o love_n unto_o his_o people_n as_o that_o he_o will_v part_v with_o his_o blood_n to_o do_v they_o good_a yet_o let_v but_o some_o vild_a person_n of_o a_o wicked_a and_o ungodly_a life_n as_o indeed_o the_o devil_n never_o lack_v such_o instrument_n to_o vex_v god_n minister_n let_v some_o but_o base_a limb_n of_o the_o devil_n step_v forth_o to_o set_v himself_o against_o the_o minister_n and_o to_o persecute_v he_o many_o in_o the_o congregation_n will_v be_v ready_a to_o join_v with_o he_o and_o have_v their_o hand_n in_o as_o deep_a as_o any_o but_o other_o of_o the_o better_a sort_n have_v no_o courage_n to_o stand_v for_o he_o and_o to_o defend_v his_o good_a cause_n many_o think_v they_o do_v not_o break_v the_o five_o commandment_n and_o yet_o know_v that_o god_n have_v say_v that_o he_o that_o labour_v in_o doctrine_n be_v worthy_a of_o double_a honour_n yet_o when_o will_v they_o speak_v well_o of_o the_o minister_n when_o will_v they_o open_v their_o mouth_n in_o his_o defence_n but_o be_v ready_a to_o say_v it_o be_v his_o indiscretion_n he_o be_v to_o hasty_a and_o unaduised_a he_o may_v have_v keep_v himself_o quiet_v and_o thus_o either_o because_o they_o be_v dastardly_a and_o dare_v not_o or_o malicious_a and_o will_v not_o almost_o none_o can_v be_v find_v that_o will_v stand_v in_o the_o maintenance_n of_o their_o faithful_a minister_n against_o the_o fury_n and_o malice_n of_o the_o devil_n and_o his_o limb_n wicked_a persecutor_n but_o this_o be_v a_o most_o soul_n fault_n for_o if_o any_o have_v a_o good_a friend_n to_o who_o he_o be_v much_o behold_v and_o of_o who_o he_o have_v receive_v many_o benefit_n no_o man_n almost_o be_v so_o cowardly_a and_o base_a mind_v but_o if_o he_o hear_v one_o rail_v upon_o he_o and_o abuse_v he_o he_o will_v take_v courage_n to_o speak_v for_o he_o and_o for_o his_o credit_n but_o who_o almost_o can_v be_v find_v of_o many_o in_o a_o parish_n that_o can_v afford_v a_o good_a word_n for_o the_o minister_n nay_o be_v not_o most_o of_o this_o mind_n that_o if_o he_o be_v molest_v all_o be_v lose_v that_o fall_v beside_o thus_o much_o for_o the_o duty_n of_o the_o people_n the_o minister_n particular_a duty_n follow_v the_o first_o be_v to_o be_v a_o good_a example_n and_o pattern_n unto_o they_o in_o love_n in_o faith_n in_o patience_n and_o in_o every_o good_a duty_n as_o 1._o tim._n 4._o 12._o let_v no_o man_n despise_v thy_o youth_n i_o but_o might_n timothy_n say_v can_v i_o keep_v they_o from_o despise_v my_o youth_n i_o can_v hinder_v it_o yet_o show_v thyself_o a_o example_n to_o those_o
