it_o show_v they_o have_v little_a power_n over_o we_o 5._o then_o our_o knowledge_n be_v as_o it_o shall_v be_v when_o the_o truth_n we_o know_v have_v that_o weight_n with_o we_o that_o they_o sink_v down_o into_o our_o heart_n nay_o when_o we_o care_v to_o have_v nothing_o to_o do_v with_o such_o truth_n as_o have_v nothing_o to_o do_v with_o the_o heart_n but_o be_v mere_o speculative_a and_o float_v in_o the_o understanding_n some_o have_v that_o vain_a and_o sinful_a art_n of_o beat_v the_o weighty_a truth_n of_o god_n so_o thin_a and_o fine_a that_o it_o can_v sink_v down_o into_o their_o heart_n as_o one_o may_v beat_v lead_v so_o thin_a that_o one_o may_v make_v a_o boat_n of_o it_o that_o it_o shall_v not_o only_o float_v itself_o but_o shall_v keep_v other_o thing_n from_o in_o reference_n to_o ourselves_o and_o if_o it_o be_v not_o for_o the_o duty_n we_o owe_v to_o truth_n the_o glory_n of_o god_n and_o the_o edification_n of_o our_o brethren_n we_o will_v never_o vindicate_v ourselves_o from_o any_o slander_n or_o aspersion_n that_o be_v lay_v upon_o we_o many_o do_v with_o so_o much_o violence_n and_o impetuousness_n vindicate_v themselves_o that_o they_o cause_n to_o admire_v adore_v love_n and_o praise_n god_n as_o they_o it_o be_v true_a they_o be_v in_o possession_n of_o that_o happiness_n which_o we_o have_v not_o as_o yet_o in_o possession_n but_o be_v as_o sure_a of_o as_o if_o we_o have_v we_o have_v the_o word_n the_o covenant_n the_o oath_n of_o god_n for_o it_o in_o which_o it_o be_v impossible_a for_o he_o to_o fail_v if_o we_o have_v not_o strong_a consolation_n it_o be_v not_o his_o fault_n but_o we_o that_o we_o do_v not_o believe_v he_o nor_o shall_v our_o not_o have_v possession_n be_v think_v any_o sufficient_a cause_n good_a which_o itself_o believe_v as_o true_a yet_o though_o conviction_n can_v work_v conversion_n yet_o doubtless_o general_o it_o will_v work_v reformation_n the_o way_n to_o gain_v firm_a and_o strong_a persuasion_n of_o the_o truth_n of_o god_n be_v to_o build_v our_o faith_n upon_o strong_a and_o irrefragable_a ground_n the_o chief_a if_o not_o the_o only_a be_v the_o word_n of_o god_n run_v may_v read_v it_o but_o be_v not_o this_o wonderful_a that_o notwithstanding_o sense_n reason_n experience_n faith_n show_v we_o so_o clear_o the_o truth_n of_o it_o yet_o not_o one_o of_o a_o hundred_o of_o those_o that_o call_v themselves_o christian_n live_v as_o man_n convince_v of_o this_o truth_n but_o their_o whole_a love_n joy_n delight_n endeavour_n be_v place_v upon_o and_o run_v out_o after_o these_o thing_n and_o yet_o whensoever_o they_o read_v in_o any_o book_n or_o hear_v in_o any_o sermon_n a_o discourse_n concern_v this_o matter_n they_o think_v it_o to_o be_v a_o the_o love_n of_o the_o world_n be_v such_o a_o epidemical_a evil_n that_o though_o it_o be_v some_o labour_n yet_o i_o hope_v it_o will_v not_o be_v lose_v i_o think_v fit_a to_o inculcate_v the_o
