dead_a you_o be_v such_o but_o he_o have_v quicken_v you_o and_o he_o that_o believe_v in_o i_o say_v christ_n to_o martha_n in_o john_n 11.25_o though_o he_o be_v dead_a he_o shall_v live_v and_o live_v once_o he_o shall_v never_o die_v do_v thou_o believe_v this_o then_o christ_n be_v the_o root_n of_o a_o life_n it_o be_v the_o end_n of_o his_o undertake_n that_o his_o people_n may_v have_v life_n and_o all_o man_n be_v dead_a before_o they_o come_v to_o he_o and_o quicken_v to_o life_n upon_o the_o receive_n of_o he_o certain_o then_o there_o be_v a_o life_n that_o they_o who_o have_v any_o interest_n in_o christ_n do_v live_v which_o other_o be_v stranger_n from_o and_o let_v this_o suffice_v for_o the_o first_o and_o belove_v though_o i_o shall_v not_o apply_v this_o alone_a scripture_n be_v abundant_a in_o the_o proof_n of_o it_o it_o be_v christ_n in_o we_o that_o be_v the_o hope_n of_o glory_n and_o we_o be_v one_o with_o he_o and_o he_o with_o we_o and_o he_o dwell_v in_o we_o by_o his_o spirit_n etc._n etc._n therefore_o it_o be_v clear_a that_o we_o be_v unite_v to_o he_o make_v one_o and_o this_o union_n it_o be_v nothing_o but_o the_o lord_n jesus_n send_v his_o spirit_n into_o the_o soul_n as_o a_o band_n to_o knit_v he_o and_o they_o together_o that_o he_o be_v make_v their_o root_n and_o stock_n now_o that_o i_o will_v not_o treat_v of_o because_o the_o very_a handle_n of_o it_o it_o be_v not_o only_o a_o great_a mystery_n but_o it_o will_v take_v up_o more_o time_n than_o be_v to_o be_v allow_v for_o the_o sermon_n but_o second_o upon_o especial_o how_o that_o righteousness_n and_o death_n be_v the_o two_o thing_n that_o be_v oppose_v one_o to_o another_o death_n and_o righteousness_n that_o look_v as_o soon_o as_o ever_o man_n be_v a_o sinner_n he_o be_v a_o dead_a man_n present_o he_o be_v dead_a under_o the_o sentence_n of_o death_n in_o the_o day_n thou_o eat_v thou_o shall_v die_v and_o not_o dead_a only_o under_o the_o sentence_n but_o dead_a as_o his_o sin_n deprive_v he_o of_o god_n image_n now_o as_o it_o be_v sin_n that_o be_v our_o death_n so_o it_o be_v righteousness_n that_o be_v our_o life_n not_o our_o only_o inherent_a in_o himself_o but_o be_v communicate_v to_o we_o so_o that_o it_o be_v wrought_v in_o we_o which_o be_v the_o righteousness_n of_o our_o sanctification_n and_o it_o be_v that_o branch_n of_o our_o spiritual_a life_n that_o this_o text_n aim_v at_o for_o he_o do_v assert_v the_o other_o our_o quicken_n from_o the_o guilt_n of_o sin_n in_o all_o the_o former_a part_n of_o his_o discourse_n now_o that_o no_o wretch_n may_v abuse_v it_o and_o say_v that_o then_o we_o may_v continue_v vassal_n to_o sin_n he_o prove_v it_o that_o christ_n righteousness_n be_v communicate_v to_o we_o that_o be_v christ_n grace_n be_v infuse_v into_o our_o soul_n and_o that_o be_v make_v up_o of_o these_o three_o thing_n and_o i_o conceive_v there_o be_v nothing_o else_o in_o it_o but_o these_o three_o thing_n the_o one_o be_v the_o spirit_n of_o jesus_n christ_n that_o holy_a spirit_n of_o jesus_n christ_n be_v communicate_v to_o believer_n to_o dwell_v in_o they_o to_o be_v in_o they_o a_o principle_n of_o a_o new_a life_n second_o this_o holy_a spirit_n pour_v into_o the_o soul_n work_v in_o they_o in_o all_o the_o faculty_n of_o the_o soul_n those_o gracious_a disposition_n wherein_o the_o image_n of_o god_n stand_v which_o be_v light_n in_o the_o understanding_n freedom_n in_o the_o will_n love_n and_o fear_v and_o joy_n that_o be_v the_o turn_n of_o all_o these_o love_n of_o the_o saint_n to_o god_n and_o one_o to_o another_o all_o their_o mourning_n for_o sin_n their_o strive_v against_o it_o all_o their_o endeavour_n after_o god_n they_o be_v motion_n of_o this_o new_a life_n that_o be_v wrought_v in_o we_o and_o this_o be_v the_o life_n now_o that_o all_o the_o lord_n people_n do_v live_v while_o they_o be_v in_o this_o world_n the_o spirit_n of_o jesus_n christ_n bestow_v upon_o they_o work_v in_o they_o a_o new_a frame_n of_o heart_n turn_v the_o bent_n of_o their_o heart_n to_o god_n and_o remain_v as_o a_o exciting_a principle_n to_o draw_v out_o their_o grace_n and_o strengthen_v they_o in_o their_o work_n whereby_o their_o endeavour_n be_v in_o all_o thing_n to_o live_v unto_o god_n according_a to_o his_o will_n and_o this_o be_v that_o life_n which_o my_o text_n and_o other_o scripture_n call_v the_o life_n of_o christ_n and_o the_o life_n of_o god_n which_o although_o it_o be_v perfect_a in_o none_o in_o this_o world_n but_o there_o be_v relic_n of_o our_o old_a death_n in_o we_o and_o of_o our_o sinful_a distemper_n in_o we_o yet_o real_o and_o true_o these_o thing_n be_v find_v in_o every_o soul_n that_o be_v bring_v home_o to_o jesus_n christ._n and_o let_v this_o i_o pray_v suffice_v for_o the_o doctrinal_a part_n that_o without_o be_v burdensome_a to_o you_o i_o may_v make_v some_o application_n of_o it_o thus_o than_o you_o see_v though_o i_o have_v not_o turn_v you_o to_o many_o particular_a scripture_n yet_o i_o know_v that_o if_o you_o do_v but_o read_v the_o scripture_n you_o will_v find_v that_o constant_o give_v as_o good_a word_n as_o you_o will_v to_o those_o that_o preach_v the_o truth_n and_o hold_v it_o out_o to_o you_o this_o be_v not_o christianity_n christianity_n be_v to_o live_v
