not_o give_v it_o thou_o 5_o see_v therefore_o this_o doubt_v how_o pernicious_a it_o be_v and_o fierce_a and_o many_o by_o the_o root_n it_o pluck_v up_o from_o the_o faith_n even_o very_o faithful_a and_o firm_o one_o for_o why_o this_o doubt_n be_v the_o daughter_n of_o the_o devil_n and_o very_o wicked_o deal_v she_o with_o the_o servant_n of_o god_n contemn_v therefore_o doubt_v and_o thou_o shall_v rule_v over_o she_o in_o every_o thing_n put_v on_o firm_a and_o potent_a faith_n for_o faith_n promise_v all_o thing_n and_o accomplish_v all_o thing_n but_o doubt_v do_v not_o believe_v involve_v in_o the_o employment_n and_o riches_n of_o the_o heathen_a man_n and_o another_o be_v a_o lie_a prophet_n who_o destroy_v the_o sense_n of_o the_o servant_n of_o god_n but_o not_o of_o these_o doubtful_a one_o who_o trust_v in_o the_o lord_n full_o 3_o therefore_o these_o doubtful_a one_o come_v as_o to_o a_o divine_a and_o ask_v he_o what_o be_v about_o to_o befall_v they_o and_o that_o lie_a prophet_n have_v none_o of_o the_o power_n of_o the_o divine_a spirit_n in_o he_o speak_v to_o they_o according_a to_o their_o ask_n and_o fill_v their_o soul_n with_o promise_n even_o as_o they_o will_v but_o that_o prophet_n be_v empty_a and_o answer_v empty_a thing_n to_o the_o empty_a for_o whatsoever_o be_v ask_v he_o of_o vain_a man_n he_o will_v answer_v they_o vain_a thing_n 4_o but_o some_o word_n he_o speak_v true_a for_o the_o devil_n fill_v he_o with_o his_o spirit_n that_o he_o may_v cast_v down_o some_o of_o the_o just_a whosoever_o therefore_o be_v strong_a in_o the_o faith_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o be_v clothe_v with_o the_o truth_n to_o such_o spirit_n they_o be_v not_o join_v but_o depart_v from_o they_o but_o as_o many_o as_o be_v doubtful_a and_o thenceforth_o act_v repentance_n they_o consult_v even_o as_o the_o heathen_n and_o heap_v up_o very_o great_a sin_n to_o themselves_o serve_v idol_n 5_o whosoever_o therefore_o be_v such_o they_o ask_v for_o any_o business_n they_o worship_v image_n and_o be_v fool_n and_o empty_a from_o the_o truth_n for_o every_o spirit_n give_v of_o god_n be_v not_o ask_v but_o have_v the_o virtue_n of_o the_o divinity_n from_o itself_o speak_v all_o thing_n because_o it_o be_v from_o above_o from_o the_o power_n of_o the_o divine_a spirit_n but_o whoso_o be_v ask_v speak_v according_a to_o the_o desire_n and_o of_o many_o other_o thing_n of_o this_o world_n they_o of_o this_o sort_n understand_v not_o the_o question_n of_o the_o divinity_n for_o they_o be_v darken_v by_o these_o business_n and_o be_v corrupt_v and_o break_v 6_o as_o good_a vine_n that_o be_v neglect_v by_o weed_n and_o thorn_n be_v press_v and_o kill_v so_o also_o the_o man_n who_o have_v credit_v such_o they_o have_v fall_v into_o many_o business_n and_o action_n and_o be_v make_v empty_a from_o their_o feel_n and_o understand_v nothing_o at_o all_o think_v about_o riches_n but_o if_o at_o any_o time_n they_o shall_v hear_v of_o the_o lord_n their_o sense_n be_v in_o their_o business_n but_o they_o that_o have_v the_o fear_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o search_v out_o from_o god_n the_o truth_n they_o have_v every_o thought_n unto_o the_o lord_n all_o thing_n that_o be_v speak_v to_o they_o they_o perceive_v because_o they_o have_v the_o fear_n of_o the_o lord_n in_o they_o for_o where_o the_o spirit_z of_o the_o lord_z in_o habit_v there_o also_o be_v adjoin_v much_o feel_n adjoyn_v thyself_o therefore_o to_o the_o lord_n and_o thou_o shall_v understand_v and_o perceive_v all_o thing_n 7_o hear_v now_o o_o unwise_a after_o what_o manner_n sadness_n vex_v the_o holy_a spirit_n and_o how_o it_o make_v it_o whole_a when_o a_o doubtful_a one_o shall_v fall_v into_o any_o business_n and_o it_o do_v not_o succeed_v to_o he_o because_o of_o dubitation_n this_o sorrow_n enter_v into_o the_o man_n and_o make_v sad_a the_o holy_a spirit_n and_o vex_v it_o after_o that_o again_o when_o wrath_n shall_v happen_v to_o a_o man_n for_o any_o business_n he_o be_v vehement_o enrage_v and_o this_o wrath_n enter_v in_o into_o the_o inward_a part_n of_o he_o that_o be_v angry_a and_o he_o be_v vex_v in_o his_o business_n which_o he_o do_v and_o after_o that_o repent_v he_o that_o he_o have_v do_v evil_o 8_o therefore_o both_o these_o thing_n hurt_v the_o holy_a spirit_n doubt_v and_o sadness_n doubt_v because_o his_o action_n succeed_v not_o and_o sadness_n because_o he_o cause_v wrath_n to_o his_o spirit_n remove_v sorrow_n therefore_o from_o thou_o and_o do_v not_o thou_o offend_v the_o holy_a spirit_n which_o dwele_v in_o thou_o lest_o it_o entreat_v the_o lord_n and_o depart_v from_o thou_o for_o the_o spirit_n of_o the_o lord_n which_o be_v give_v into_o the_o flesh_n endure_v not_o sadness_n 9_o clothe_v thou_o therefore_o with_o chearfulnesse_n which_o always_o have_v favour_n with_o the_o lord_n and_o thou_o shall_v be_v joyful_a in_o it_o for_o every_o cheerful_a man_n work_v well_o and_o savour_v good_a thing_n and_o despise_v unrighteousness_n but_o a_o sorrowful_a man_n do_v evil_o because_o he_o make_v sad_a the_o holy_a spirit_n which_o be_v give_v to_o the_o cheerful_a man_n and_o again_o he_o do_v evil_a in_o that_o the_o sorrowful_a man_n entreat_v the_o lord_n and_o do_v not_o before_o make_v confession_n and_o he_o obtain_v not_o of_o god_n what_o he_o ask_v for_o always_o the_o prayer_n of_o the_o sorrowful_a man_n have_v not_o the_o force_n that_o it_o may_v approach_v the_o altar_n of_o god_n 10_o and_o i_o say_v to_o he_o lord_z why_o have_v not_o the_o prayer_n of_o the_o sorrowful_a man_n the_o power_n to_o ascend_v to_o the_o altar_n of_o the_o lord_n because_o heaviness_n sit_v in_o his_o heart_n therefore_o when_o the_o prayer_n of_o a_o man_n shall_v be_v mix_v with_o sorrow_n it_o will_v not_o suffer_v the_o prayer_n to_o ascend_v pure_a to_o the_o altar_n of_o god_n for_o as_o wine_n mix_v with_o vinegar_n have_v not_o the_o same_o sweetness_n so_o also_o heaviness_n mix_v with_o the_o holy_a spirit_n have_v not_o the_o same_o prayer_n clean_o therefore_o cleanse_v thou_o from_o evil_a sadness_n and_o thou_o shall_v live_v to_o god_n and_o they_o shall_v all_o live_v to_o god_n who_o shall_v cast_v away_o from_o themselves_o sadness_n and_o shall_v put_v on_o chearfulnesse_n command_v xi_o 1_o he_o show_v i_o man_n sit_v on_o seat_n and_o one_o sit_v in_o a_o chair_n and_o he_o say_v to_o i_o see_v thou_o those_o who_o sit_v on_o bench_n i_o see_v they_o lord_n quoth_v i_o these_o be_v the_o faithful_a and_o he_o that_o sit_v in_o the_o chair_n be_v the_o terrestrial_a spirit_n for_o into_o the_o church_n of_o the_o man_n it_o approach_v not_o but_o fly_v away_o but_o it_o appli_v itself_o to_o the_o doubtful_a one_o and_o empty_a and_o in_o corner_n and_o hide_a place_n it_o divine_v to_o they_o and_o it_o delight_v they_o in_o speak_v according_a to_o all_o the_o desire_n of_o their_o heart_n 2_o for_o what_o be_v commit_v to_o empty_a vessel_n do_v not_o run_v over_o but_o they_o agree_v one_o to_o another_o but_o when_o it_o shall_v come_v into_o the_o company_n of_o just_a man_n have_v the_o spirit_n of_o the_o divinity_n and_o their_o prayer_n be_v to_o the_o lord_n that_o man_n be_v frustate_v because_o that_o terestrial_a spirit_n fly_v from_o he_o and_o he_o become_v dumb_a nor_o can_v speak_v any_o thing_n 3_o as_o in_o a_o cellar_n if_o thou_o shall_v cover_v wine_n or_o oil_n and_o among_o these_o vessel_n shall_v put_v a_o empty_a vessel_n and_o again_o will_v take_v off_o the_o cover_n that_o vessel_n which_o thou_o do_v put_v thou_o shall_v find_v empty_a so_o also_o empty_a prophet_n when_o they_o shall_v come_v among_o the_o spirit_n of_o just_a man_n such_o as_o they_o come_v such_o be_v they_o find_v 4_o thou_o have_v the_o life_n of_o both_o the_o prophet_n try_v therefore_o by_o life_n and_o work_n the_o man_n that_o say_v himself_o to_o have_v the_o holy_a spirit_n but_o believe_v thou_o the_o spirit_n come_v from_o god_n have_v virtue_n but_o to_o the_o earthly_a empty_a spirit_n which_o be_v from_o the_o devil_n in_o which_o there_o be_v not_o faith_n nor_o power_n do_v not_o give_v credit_n 5_o hear_v therefore_o a_o similitude_n which_o i_o be_o about_o to_o tell_v thou_o take_v a_o stone_n and_o cast_v it_o towards_o heaven_n or_o again_o take_v a_o squirt_n of_o water_n and_o squirt_v it_o out_o towards_o heaven_n and_o see_v if_o thou_o can_v smite_v the_o heaven_n how_o quoth_v i_o lord_n can_v these_o thing_n be_v for_o both_o these_o which_o thou_o have_v speak_v can_v be_v do_v even_o as_o therefore_o these_o can_v be_v do_v so_o the_o terrestrial_a spirit_n be_v without_o power_n and_o without_o effect_n 6_o take_v now_o the_o power_n come_v down_o from_o above_o in_o this_o similitude_n the_o hail_n be_v the_o least_o grain_n and_o when_o it_o fall_v upon_o the_o head_n of_o a_o man_n how_o do_v it_o bring_v grief_n or_o again_o look_v on_o the_o drop_n of_o rain_n which_o from_o the_o eaves_n fall_v on_o the_o earth_n and_o make_v hollow_a the_o stone_n so_o therefore_o the_o least_o thing_n which_o from_o above_o fall_v upon_o the_o earth_n have_v great_a power_n adjoyn_v thou_o therefore_o to_o this_o man_n have_v the_o power_n and_o from_o that_o empty_a one_o
depart_v thou_o command_v xii_o 1_o again_o he_o say_v to_o i_o remove_v from_o thou_o all_o evil_a desire_n and_o put_v on_o the_o good_a and_o holy_a desire_n for_o have_v put_v on_o the_o good_a desire_n thou_o shall_v hate_v the_o evil_a and_o shall_v refrain_v it_o even_o as_o thou_o will_v for_o evil_a desire_n be_v to_o be_v abhor_v and_o it_o be_v difficult_o mitigate_v it_o be_v very_o horrible_a and_o wild_a and_o with_o its_o wildness_n consume_v man_n especial_o if_o into_o it_o a_o servant_n of_o god_n shall_v fall_v and_o unless_o he_o shall_v be_v wise_a he_o shall_v be_v consume_v by_o it_o bad_o 2_o but_o it_o consume_v such_o who_o have_v not_o the_o clothing_n of_o the_o good_a desire_n and_o it_o involve_v they_o in_o the_o business_n of_o this_o world_n and_o deliver_v they_o to_o death_n what_o be_v the_o work_v lord_n quoth_v i_o of_o the_o evil_a desire_n which_o deliver_v man_n up_o to_o death_n demonstrate_v unto_o i_o that_o i_o may_v depart_v from_o they_o hear_v say_v he_o in_o what_o work_v evil_a desire_n deliver_v the_o servant_n of_o god_n to_o death_n the_o spirit_n of_o all_o man_n be_v earthly_a and_o light_a and_o have_v not_o power_n at_o all_o and_o speak_v many_o thing_n and_o i_o say_v how_o then_o can_v any_o know_v they_o 3_o hear_v quoth_v he_o of_o both_o the_o vessel_n and_o as_o i_o say_v to_o thou_o so_o shall_v thou_o try_v the_o prophet_n of_o god_n and_o the_o false_a prophet_n first_o so_o prove_v the_o man_n that_o have_v the_o spirit_n of_o god_n because_o the_o spirit_n which_o be_v from_o above_o be_v quiet_a and_o humble_a and_o it_o depart_v from_o all_o wickedness_n and_o the_o vain_a desire_n of_o this_o world_n and_o make_v itself_o more_o humble_a than_o every_o man_n and_o answer_v to_o no_o mam_n be_v ask_v nor_o do_v it_o answer_v to_o all_o man_n neither_o when_o man_n will_n do_v the_o spirit_n of_o god_n speak_z but_o than_o it_o speak_v when_o god_n will_n 4_o therefore_o when_o a_o man_n who_o have_v the_o spirit_n of_o god_n shall_v come_v into_o the_o church_n of_o just_a man_n have_v the_o faith_n of_o god_n and_o prayer_n be_v make_v to_o god_n then_o the_o holy_a messenger_n of_o the_o divinity_n fill_v that_o man_z with_o the_o holy_a spirit_n and_o he_o speak_v in_o the_o throng_v as_o god_n will_v so_o therefore_o be_v the_o spirit_n of_o divinity_n know_v in_o whosoever_o the_o spirit_n of_o divinity_n speak_v 5_o hear_v now_o also_o of_o the_o terrestrial_a spirit_n empty_a and_o foolish_a not_o have_v power_n but_o first_o a_o man_n be_v conceive_v to_o have_v this_o spirit_n for_o he_o exalt_v himself_o and_o will_v have_v the_o uppermost_a chair_n and_o he_o be_v wicked_a and_o talkative_a and_o converse_v in_o delight_n and_o in_o many_o pleasure_n and_o take_v the_o reward_n of_o his_o divination_n which_o if_o he_o shall_v not_o get_v he_o do_v not_o divine_a can_v the_o spirit_n of_o god_n take_v reward_n thus_o and_o divine_a it_o do_v not_o beseem_v the_o prophet_n of_o god_n to_o do_v these_o thing_n 6_o but_o evil_a desire_n be_v to_o covet_v another_o wife_n or_o a_o woman_n to_o covet_v another_o husband_n and_o to_o covet_v the_o sumptuousnesse_n of_o riches_n and_o the_o multitude_n of_o superfluous_a meat_n and_o much_o drunkenness_n and_o many_o pleasure_n for_o many_o delight_n be_v foolish_a and_o many_o pleasure_n be_v superfluous_a to_o the_o servant_n of_o god_n therefore_o this_o evil_a desire_n be_v pernicious_a which_o deadn_v the_o servant_n of_o god_n for_o this_o desire_n be_v of_o the_o devil_n 7_o therefore_o whosoever_o shall_v depart_v from_o evil_a desire_n they_o shall_v live_v to_o god_n for_o whosoever_o shall_v be_v subject_v to_o evil_a desire_n shall_v die_v for_o ever_o for_o this_o evil_a desire_n be_v mortiferous_a 8_o thou_o therefore_o put_v on_o the_o desire_n of_o righteousness_n and_o arm_v with_o the_o fear_n of_o the_o lord_n resist_v the_o evil_a desire_n for_o fear_n dwell_v in_o the_o good_a desire_n and_o the_o evil_a desire_n when_o it_o shall_v see_v thou_o arm_v with_o the_o fear_n of_o the_o lord_n resist_v it_o it_o shall_v fly_v far_o from_o thou_o and_o shall_v not_o appear_v before_o thou_o fear_v thy_o weapon_n and_o thou_o shall_v obtain_v the_o victory_n and_o thou_o shall_v be_v crown_v because_o of_o she_o and_o attain_v unto_o the_o good_a desire_n and_o thou_o shall_v give_v the_o victory_n to_o god_n which_o thou_o have_v get_v and_o shall_v serve_v he_o in_o work_v as_o thou_o thyself_o will_v 9_o but_o if_o thou_o shall_v serve_v the_o good_a desire_n and_o shall_v be_v subject_a unto_o it_o thou_o shall_v be_v able_a to_o rule_v over_o the_o evil_a desire_n and_o it_o shall_v be_v subject_v to_o thou_o even_o as_o thou_o will_v 10_o i_o will_v know_v lord_n how_o i_o ought_v to_o serve_v the_o good_a desire_n hear_v quoth_v he_o have_v thou_o the_o fear_n of_o god_n and_o faith_n in_o god_n and_o love_v the_o truth_n and_o love_v the_o righteousness_n and_o do_v good_a these_o thing_n work_v thou_o shall_v be_v a_o prove_a servant_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o shall_v serve_v to_o god_n and_o all_o whosoever_o shall_v serve_v the_o good_a desire_n shall_v live_v to_o god._n 11_o these_o twelve_o command_n be_v finish_v he_o say_v to_o i_o thou_o have_v these_o command_n walk_v in_o they_o and_o exhort_v the_o man_n that_o hear_v they_o that_o they_o do_v repentance_n and_o their_o repentance_n shall_v be_v make_v pure_a the_o rest_n of_o the_o day_n of_o their_o life_n and_o this_o ministry_n which_o to_o thou_o i_o give_v unfold_v thou_o diligent_o and_o thou_o shall_v attain_v much_o fruit_n and_o shall_v find_v favour_n with_o all_o those_o who_o shall_v act_n repentance_n and_o shall_v believe_v thy_o word_n for_o i_o be_o with_o thou_o and_o will_v constrain_v they_o to_o believe_v 12_o and_o i_o say_v to_o he_o lord_z these_o command_n be_v great_a and_o excellent_a and_o they_o be_v able_a to_o make_v glad_a the_o heart_n of_o that_o man_n who_o shall_v be_v able_a to_o keep_v these_o command_n but_o i_o know_v not_o lord_n whether_o these_o commandment_n can_v be_v keep_v by_o man_n he_o say_v to_o i_o these_o command_v thou_o shall_v easy_o keep_v and_o they_o shall_v not_o be_v hard_o 13_o but_o notwithstanding_o if_o thou_o shall_v affirm_v in_o thy_o heart_n that_o they_o can_v be_v keep_v by_o man_n thou_o shall_v not_o keep_v they_o but_o now_o i_o say_v unto_o thou_o if_o thou_o shall_v not_o keep_v these_o commandment_n and_o shall_v omit_v he_o have_v behold_v i_o all_o disturb_v and_o confound_v he_o begin_v to_o speak_v more_o moderate_o and_o cheerful_o say_v 15_o o_o foolish_a and_o unsensible_a inconstant_a and_o ignorant_a of_o the_o majesty_n of_o god_n how_o great_a &_o how_o admirable_a be_v it_o who_o have_v create_v the_o world_n for_o man_n and_o subject_v every_o creature_n to_o man_n and_o have_v give_v he_o all_o power_n that_o he_o may_v have_v dominion_n overdo_n these_o commandment_n he_o can_v have_v dominion_n quoth_v he_o over_o all_o these_o command_n who_o have_v the_o lord_n in_o his_o heart_n but_o they_o who_o have_v the_o lord_n in_o their_o lip_n and_o their_o heart_n be_v benumb_v these_o be_v far_o from_o the_o lord_n to_o they_o these_o command_n be_v hard_a and_o difficult_a 16_o therefore_o propose_v unto_o yourselves_o you_o that_o be_v empty_a and_o light_n in_o the_o faith_n to_o have_v the_o lord_n your_o god_n in_o the_o heart_n and_o you_o shall_v understand_v that_o nothing_o be_v more_o easy_a than_o these_o command_n nor_o more_o sweet_a nor_o more_o gentle_a nor_o more_o holy_a and_o convert_v you_o to_o the_o lord_n god_n and_o forsake_v the_o devil_n and_o name_n of_o the_o son_n of_o god_n but_o also_o and_o the_o power_n of_o these_o virgin_n therefore_o have_v get_v these_o spirit_n they_o be_v perfect_v and_o bring_v in_o the_o number_n of_o the_o servant_n of_o god_n and_o one_o body_n of_o they_o begin_v to_o be_v and_o one_o vesture_n for_o the_o same_o righteousness_n do_v they_o feel_v which_o they_o do_v alike_o excercise_n 68_o but_o after_o that_o they_o have_v see_v these_o woman_n who_o thou_o perceive_v first_o clothe_v with_o a_o black_a garment_n with_o naked_a shoulder_n and_o loosen_a hair_n they_o lust_v to_o solicit_v they_o because_o of_o their_o beauty_n and_o they_o be_v endue_v with_o their_o power_n but_o the_o clothing_n of_o the_o virgin_n they_o have_v cast_v off_o these_o therefore_o be_v throw_v out_o from_o the_o house_n of_o god_n and_o deliver_v to_o these_o woman_n but_o these_o that_o be_v not_o corrupt_v through_o their_o beauty_n have_v remain_v in_o the_o house_n of_o god_n thou_o have_v quoth_v he_o the_o explication_n of_o these_o stone_n which_o be_v abject_a 69_o and_o i_o say_v if_o therefore_o lord_n any_o of_o the_o man_n which_o be_v of_o this_o sort_n shall_v do_v repentance_n and_o shall_v throw_v away_o the_o desire_n of_o these_o woman_n and_o be_v convert_v shall_v return_v to_o the_o virgin_n and_o shall_v put_v on_o their_o power_n shall_v they_o not_o enter_v into_o the_o house_n of_o the_o lord_n they_o shall_v enter_v quoth_v he_o if_o they_o shall_v cast_v off_o all_o the_o work_n of_o these_o woman_n and_o shall_v resume_v the_o power_n of_o these_o virgin_n and_o in_o their_o work_n shall_v walk_v and_o therefore_o be_v there_o make_v a_o intermission_n of_o building_n that_o if_o these_o shall_v do_v repentance_n they_o may_v be_v add_v one_o stone_n 87_o so_o also_o the_o church_n of_o god_n when_o it_o shall_v be_v purify_v the_o evil_a and_o the_o feign_a the_o wicked_a and_o dubious_a be_v cast_v out_o of_o it_o and_o whosoever_o but_o of_o the_o three_o mountain_n which_o have_v thorn_n and_o thistle_n be_v such_o who_o have_v believe_v some_o rich_a but_o some_o hinder_v by_o many_o employment_n for_o the_o thistle_n be_v riches_n but_o the_o thorn_n they_o who_o be_v cumber_v with_o many_o business_n these_o therefore_o who_o be_v hinder_v by_o many_o business_n and_o various_a affair_n do_v not_o adjoyn_v themselves_o to_o the_o servant_n of_o god_n but_o wander_v away_o be_v call_v back_o by_o these_o employment_n by_o which_o they_o be_v choke_v 93_o also_o and_o these_o who_o be_v rich_a they_o do_v with_o difficulty_n give_v themselves_o unto_o the_o conversation_n of_o god_n servant_n fear_v lest_o any_o thing_n be_v require_v of_o they_o these_o therefore_o difficult_o shall_v enter_v into_o the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n for_o as_o with_o unshod_a foot_n man_n walk_v difficult_o in_o thistle_n so_o also_o it_o be_v difficult_a for_o this_o sort_n of_o man_n to_o enter_v into_o the_o
