and_o run_v from_o his_o purpose_n like_o a_o babble_a discourser_n wander_v in_o a_o sea_n of_o word_n without_o compass_n of_o style_n or_o discretion_n likewise_o he_o fable_v that_o doctor_n bancroft_n write_v that_o her_o majesty_n be_v a_o petty_a pope_n which_o be_v a_o graceless_a or_o shameless_a assertion_n or_o both_o for_o who_o will_v not_o be_v ashamed_a but_o these_o swell_a mind_n that_o think_v they_o may_v speak_v what_o they_o listen_v to_o ascribe_v that_o to_o master_n bancroft_n that_o he_o reprehend_v in_o martin_n his_o word_n be_v plain_a his_o minor_a 68_o minor_a pag._n 68_o say_v he_o meaning_n martin_n viz._n that_o her_o majesty_n be_v a_o petty_a pope_n may_v thus_o be_v prove_v if_o the_o libeler_n hold_v on_o this_o course_n of_o lie_v he_o will_v prove_v many_o strange_a and_o wondrous_a matter_n especial_o among_o the_o disciplinarian_o who_o consistory_n be_v build_v on_o lie_n but_o if_o they_o diffame_v her_o majesty_n that_o hold_v she_o to_o be_v a_o petty_a pope_n as_o the_o libeler_n by_o many_o great_a word_n and_o unnecessary_a proof_n in_o a_o matter_n confess_v avow_v then_o be_v martin_n and_o his_o partaker_n felonious_a diffamer_n of_o her_o majesty_n for_o he_o hold_v that_o whosoever_o take_v on_o he_o the_o authority_n in_o cause_n ecclesiastical_a which_o the_o pope_n have_v be_v a_o petty_a pope_n as_o before_o be_v say_v but_o that_o authority_n the_o whole_a parliament_n give_v to_o her_o majesty_n may_v it_o therefore_o please_v the_o libeler_n to_o bark_v against_o the_o parliament_n or_o else_o against_o martin_n against_o master_n bancroft_n that_o neither_o thought_n it_o nor_o write_v it_o nor_o speak_v it_o but_o reprehend_v it_o in_o the_o person_n of_o martin_n there_o be_v no_o cause_n for_o he_o to_o declaim_v all_o this_o libel_v notwithstanding_o the_o petitioner_n call_v his_o consorte_n our_o brethren_n but_o if_o his_o brotherhood_n consist_v in_o such_o scurrilous_a rail_n let_v he_o seek_v other_o brethren_n the_o brotherhood_n and_o fellowship_n of_o christian_n be_v know_v by_o love_n the_o badge_n of_o puritanism_n be_v unnatural_a and_o unkind_a and_o unbrother_o deal_v and_o therefore_o i_o doubt_v whether_o they_o be_v brethren_n or_o no_o both_o consider_v their_o heretical_a opinion_n and_o also_o their_o uncharitable_a and_o unchristian_a rail_n and_o yet_o i_o say_v notwitstanding_n all_o this_o unnatural_a deal_n that_o the_o bishop_n so_o much_o as_o they_o may_v yea_o too_o too_o much_o have_v deal_v remisse_o against_o such_o contumatious_a and_o worthless_a disturber_n of_o the_o church_n and_o that_o not_o for_o any_o thing_n which_o appear_v in_o this_o accuser_n wtiting_n wherein_o they_o see_v nothing_o but_o velliacry_n and_o presumption_n and_o vanity_n but_o in_o respect_n of_o their_o own_o mild_a nature_n christian_a affection_n and_o desire_v of_o peace_n which_o these_o fellow_n scorn_v in_o the_o end_n he_o conclude_v that_o consider_v the_o doubtfulness_n of_o these_o controversy_n he_o trust_v her_o majesty_n will_v take_v some_o good_a order_n for_o the_o peaceable_a debate_n of_o they_o have_v i_o say_v revelde_v at_o full_a both_o against_o ecclesiastical_a and_o civil_a jurisdiction_n and_o that_o before_o so_o mighty_a a_o prince_n who_o presence_n he_o ought_v more_o to_o have_v reverence_v have_v also_o at_o such_o time_n as_o he_o be_v to_o speak_v to_o her_o majesty_n talk_v against_o all_o decorum_n with_o by_o stander_n yea_o with_o those_o that_o be_v absent_a now_o as_o it_o be_v before_o his_o death_n he_o come_v home_o to_o himself_o and_o pray_v her_o majesty_n to_o take_v some_o good_a course_n for_o the_o peaceable_a order_n of_o these_o controversy_n as_o if_o all_o her_o former_a law_n all_o her_o care_n all_o her_o proceed_n be_v not_o to_o be_v value_v in_o one_o hair_n and_o as_o if_o rail_v and_o accuse_v deserve_v favour_n or_o his_o dispute_n credit_n or_o his_o insolency_n pardon_n i_o doubt_v not_o buth_a majesty_n of_o her_o wisdom_n see_v the_o impudency_n of_o the_o man_n the_o weakness_n of_o the_o cause_n the_o wrong_n do_v to_o other_o but_o especial_o to_o herself_o her_o government_n and_o her_o lawes-that_a other_o may_v see_v it_o i_o have_v light_o frame_v this_o answer_n lest_o the_o fool_n shall_v enter_v into_o conceit_n of_o his_o wit_n and_o other_o be_v abuse_v by_o his_o malice_n not_o in_o many_o word_n for_o what_o shall_v i_o stand_v about_o that_o wherein_o be_v nothing_o but_o pride_n ignorance_n and_o choler_n now_o because_o by_o allege_v their_o opinion_n he_o will_v make_v the_o world_n believe_v that_o his_o client_n be_v slander_v i_o will_v show_v that_o he_o 〈◊〉_d he_o 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d smooth_v some_o thing_n that_o be_v hard_a and_o conceal_v many_o thing_n that_o be_v worse_o and_o therefore_o that_o he_o and_o his_o client_n be_v to_o be_v take_v as_o they_o be_v the_o word_n i_o have_v set_v down_o and_o by_o they_o my_o answer_n read_v with_o judgement_n judge_v with_o equity_n show_v equity_n to_o truth_n observation_n upon_o certain_a opinion_n common_o hold_v by_o the_o puritan_fw-gr and_o collect_v by_o the_o say_a author_n of_o the_o petition_n with_o answer_n to_o their_o petition_n and_o desire_v join_v with_o the_o foresay_a opinion_n the_o word_n of_o the_o petitioner_n to_o the_o end_n it_o may_v appear_v how_o unjust_o the_o seeker_n of_o reformation_n be_v slander_v by_o the_o bishop_n petitioner_n petitioner_n and_o other_o i_o have_v think_v good_a brief_o &_o true_o to_o deliver_v the_o opinion_n of_o such_o as_o sue_v for_o reformation_n which_o i_o have_v gather_v out_o of_o their_o book_n and_o see_v in_o their_o practice_n and_o hear_v in_o conference_n which_o i_o have_v with_o they_o neither_o have_v the_o man_n deliver_v his_o consort_n opinion_n true_o answer_n answer_n nor_o be_v it_o sufficient_a if_o he_o have_v mean_v to_o clear_v they_o from_o slander_n to_o deliver_v some_o part_n of_o their_o opinion_n unless_o he_o have_v also_o deliver_v their_o whole_a doctrine_n concern_v their_o consistoriall_a discipline_n for_o what_o excuse_n may_v it_o be_v for_o a_o heretic_n to_o believe_v well_o in_o some_o point_n or_o for_o lewd_a man_n to_o do_v something_o well_o but_o this_o general_a doctrine_n of_o they_o neither_o do_v he_o nor_o dare_v he_o deliver_v it_o be_v somewhat_o too_o hot_a and_o saucy_a the_o sovereignty_n of_o the_o alderman_n in_o make_v law_n judge_v and_o excommunicate_v prince_n dissolve_v the_o law_n of_o the_o land_n take_v away_o her_o majesty_n prerogative_n in_o pardon_v offence_n and_o deprive_v she_o of_o the_o argument_n she_o have_v to_o show_v her_o clemency_n in_o in_o diminish_v her_o revenue_n he_o conceal_v neither_o do_v he_o reveal_v unto_o we_o those_o mystical_a rule_n whereby_o the_o consistoriall_a faction_n do_v overthrow_v the_o parliament_n the_o apology_n and_o faith_n of_o this_o church_n the_o university_n and_o many_o private_a man_n interest_n likewise_o have_v he_o pass_v over_o in_o goodly_a gloss_a word_n and_o not_o once_o mention_v other_o dangerous_a point_n that_o therefore_o which_o he_o want_v to_o the_o intent_n that_o we_o may_v have_v a_o perfect_a draught_n of_o the_o alestond_v of_o this_o new_a brew_a discipline_n i_o purpose_v to_o set_v down_o and_o to_o declare_v unto_o you_o both_o their_o doctrine_n and_o their_o practice_n so_o that_o you_o may_v perceive_v that_o they_o be_v vain_o term_v seeker_n and_o sewer_n for_o reformation_n and_o that_o the_o cause_n we_o defend_v be_v not_o the_o cause_n of_o bishop_n who_o we_o leave_v to_o defend_v their_o do_n themselves_o but_o the_o cause_n of_o god_n of_o religion_n of_o our_o country_n of_o the_o prince_n of_o learning_n of_o the_o whole_a ministry_n against_o factious_a mate_n and_o heretical_a schismatics_n and_o enemy_n of_o the_o ministry_n &_o learning_n that_o in_o these_o dangerous_a time_n go_v about_o to_o make_v a_o uproar_n in_o their_o country_n and_o a_o spoil_n of_o the_o reward_n of_o learning_n if_o then_o that_o which_o be_v best_a in_o
