further_o the_o good_a you_o do_v in_o that_o state_n not_o have_v a_o spiritual_a principle_n the_o good_a that_o you_o do_v will_v not_o profit_v you_o it_o will_v not_o advantage_v you_o it_o will_v be_v no_o plea_n in_o the_o great_a day_n all_o the_o profit_n you_o can_v have_v by_o it_o at_o most_o when_o you_o have_v have_v the_o utmost_a that_o it_o come_v to_o it_o be_v but_o some_o external_a or_o outward_a mercy_n as_o ahab_n he_o humble_v himself_o why_o he_o have_v somewhat_o for_o it_o he_o have_v his_o penny_n and_o therefore_o say_v the_o lord_n see_v thou_o how_o ahab_n humble_v himself_o the_o judgement_n shall_v not_o come_v in_o his_o day_n a_o deliverance_n from_o a_o outward_a judgement_n but_o here_o be_v no_o deliverance_n from_o wrath_n and_o from_o eternal_a judgement_n and_o so_o jehu_n for_o the_o good_a work_n that_o he_o do_v he_o have_v somewhat_o but_o alas_o what_o be_v it_o indeed_o a_o great_a thing_n in_o the_o eye_n of_o the_o world_n a_o kingdom_n and_o a_o kingdom_n for_o several_a generation_n but_o the_o truth_n be_v a_o poor_a thing_n for_o that_o be_v all_o indeed_o he_o have_v for_o his_o zeal_n in_o destroy_v idolatry_n he_o have_v the_o kingdom_n for_o four_o geneneration_n but_o he_o abide_v a_o wicked_a man_n while_o he_o do_v that_o good_a thing_n himself_o be_v cut_v off_o for_o ever_o and_o you_o see_v the_o ruler_n in_o mark_n 10._o 21._o who_o come_v to_o christ_n and_o tell_v he_o how_o he_o have_v do_v almost_o all_o the_o matter_n of_o the_o law_n why_o jesus_n christ_n see_v indeed_o he_o have_v do_v they_o yet_o remain_v unconvert_v to_o forbear_v do_v good_a till_o themselves_o be_v better_a i_o answer_v no_o by_o no_o mean_n we_o give_v no_o such_o advice_n in_o the_o matter_n but_o let_v all_o man_n do_v all_o the_o good_a they_o can_v and_o i_o will_v exhort_v the_o worst_a of_o man_n to_o do_v good_a to_o hear_v the_o word_n preach_v to_o pray_v to_o give_v alm_n daniel_n give_v that_o counsel_n to_o nabuchadnezzar_n a_o heathen_a king_n dan._n 4._o 27._o the_o apostle_n peter_n give_v that_o counsel_n to_o simon_n magus_n who_o he_o see_v to_o be_v in_o the_o gall_n of_o of_o do_v it_o yet_o his_o refuse_v to_o do_v it_o will_v be_v more_o sinful_a and_o i_o will_v say_v further_o though_o he_o please_v not_o god_n in_o do_v it_o yet_o he_o displease_v god_n in_o not_o do_v it_o so_o that_o indeed_o man_n natural_o consider_v or_o in_o his_o fall_a state_n be_v fall_v into_o a_o very_a sad_a dilemma_n if_o he_o neglect_v to_o do_v good_a he_o sin_n if_o he_o do_v good_a he_o spoil_v it_o in_o the_o do_n of_o it_o but_o notwithstanding_o all_o this_o i_o say_v i_o be_o far_o from_o discourage_v the_o worst_a of_o man_n to_o do_v good_a or_o to_o advise_v any_o to_o forbear_v to_o do_v good_a no_o i_o will_v convince_v all_o that_o their_o present_a state_n be_v bad_a and_o exhort_v all_o to_o apply_v themselves_o to_o all_o mean_n whereby_o themselves_o may_v be_v make_v better_a
