have_v much_o intimacy_n and_o acquaintance_n this_o be_v the_o general_a cry_n among_o the_o saint_n this_o day_n but_o a_o little_a that_o these_o proceed_n of_o god_n may_v not_o startle_v you_o you_o shall_v find_v some_o footstep_n of_o like_a deal_n in_o the_o day_n of_o old_a that_o god_n have_v not_o walk_v in_o a_o untrodden_a path_n but_o a_o course_n he_o have_v sometime_o take_v in_o day_n and_o time_n past_a sometime_o in_o scripture_n you_o find_v the_o lord_n threaten_v of_o and_o cut_v down_o only_o the_o uncircumcised_a one_o the_o profane_a nation_n and_o people_n of_o the_o he_o that_o sacrifice_v and_o to_o he_o that_o sacrifice_v not_o as_o be_v the_o good_a so_o be_v the_o sinner_n and_o he_o that_o swear_v as_o he_o that_o fear_v a_o oath_n but_o if_o the_o reason_n be_v demand_v how_o come_v it_o to_o pass_v and_o whence_o be_v it_o that_o any_o of_o god_n israel_n shall_v fall_v in_o time_n of_o slaughter_n 1._o not_o to_o insist_v upon_o the_o prerogative_n the_o heart_n of_o his_o child_n and_o true_o sometime_o lust_n in_o the_o soul_n be_v like_o rust_n in_o iron_n deep_o eat_v in_o and_o can_v well_o be_v get_v out_o without_o some_o severe_a and_o ruff_n usage_n 3._o but_o three_o the_o main_a reason_n the_o grand_a and_o principal_a ground_n why_o some_o of_o israel_n may_v perish_v in_o time_n of_o common_a calamity_n be_v this_o they_o sin_v as_o the_o world_n and_o so_o god_n leave_v they_o to_o suffer_v with_o and_o as_o the_o world_n their_o provocation_n be_v like_o the_o wicked_n therefore_o he_o be_v please_v to_o suit_n out_o a_o external_a punishment_n something_o like_o that_o that_o fall_v upon_o the_o rest_n of_o the_o world_n the_o lord_n say_v that_o sometime_o the_o sin_n of_o his_o own_o people_n be_v not_o only_o as_o the_o sin_n of_o the_o world_n but_o great_a jer._n 5.28_o they_o be_v wax_v fat_a they_o shine_v yea_o they_o overpass_v the_o deed_n of_o the_o wicked_a it_o be_v speak_v of_o god_n israel_n the_o
