who_o with_o such_o excessive_a charity_n and_o heroical_a fortitude_n offer_v their_o life_n for_o the_o honour_n of_o god_n if_o the_o pious_a and_o virtuous_a exercise_n of_o holy_a confessor_n patriarch_n prophet_n monk_n anchorets_n eremite_n &_o other_o who_o by_o another_o kind_n of_o martyrdom_n of_o long_a continuance_n and_o in_o some_o sort_n more_o painful_a and_o difficult_a have_v crucify_v &_o massacre_v themselves_o with_o fasting_n wear_v of_o hayre-cloth_n watch_n penance_n and_o mortification_n final_o if_o all_o the_o virtue_n and_o perfection_n both_o of_o man_n and_o angel_n be_v lay_v together_o in_o one_o yet_o all_o this_o put_v together_o do_v not_o please_v god_n so_o much_o as_o do_v one_o only_a mass_n say_v by_o the_o poor_a priest_n in_o the_o world_n and_o to_o proceed_v yet_o further_o the_o charity_n of_o the_o bless_a be_v much_o more_o perfect_a &_o excellent_a then_o that_o of_o the_o great_a saint_n that_o live_v in_o the_o world_n because_o it_o be_v charity_n proceed_v from_o the_o clear_a &_o perspicuous_a vision_n of_o the_o divine_a essence_n for_o this_o respect_n our_o saviour_n have_v extol_v the_o sanctity_n of_o the_o glorious_a s._n john_n baptist_n so_o far_o ●●_o as_o to_o say_v of_o he_o among_o the_o son_n of_o woman_n there_o never_o arise_v any_o great_a nor_o more_o holy_a he_o straight_o add_v yet_o the_o last_o in_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n be_v great_a than_o he_o now_o this_o be_v so_o proceed_v high_o in_o the_o foresaid_a consideration_n i_o say_v that_o though_o unto_o the_o merit_n and_o virtue_n of_o all_o saint_n that_o have_v be_v or_o ever_o shall_v be_v be_v add_v also_o the_o charity_n of_o the_o bless_a in_o heaven_n both_o of_o man_n angel_n and_o of_o the_o most_o sacred_a virgin_n queen_n of_o they_o all_o all_o these_o put_v together_o can_v give_v unto_o god_n so_o much_o honour_n nor_o so_o much_o praise_n nor_o so_o much_o content_a as_o a_o mass_n do_v offer_v by_o any_o priest_n and_o the_o reason_n hereof_o have_v be_v signify_v before_o to_o wit_n that_o in_o all_o and_o every_o mass_n christ_n our_o lord_n be_v the_o principal_a priest_n who_o actual_o make_v the_o oblation_n of_o that_o sacrifice_n and_o the_o proper_a office_n &_o duty_n of_o priesthood_n be_v to_o give_v praise_n and_o honour_n unto_o god_n so_o that_o christ_n in_o every_o mass_n be_v the_o chief_a worshipper_n and_o honour_n of_o god_n &_o to_o make_v amends_o for_o our_o defect_n he_o as_o the_o chief_a and_o supreme_a offerer_n give_v the_o thanks_n the_o honour_n praise_n and_o worship_n that_o be_v due_a unto_o he_o and_o most_o certain_a it_o be_v that_o all_o creature_n put_v together_o can_v yet_o yield_v unto_o god_n so_o great_a honour_n praise_n and_o content_a as_o his_o only_a son_n alone_o can_v do_v whence_o it_o be_v consequent_a that_o the_o sacrifice_n of_o the_o mass_n aswell_o in_o regard_n of_o the_o thing_n offer_v as_o also_o in_o respect_n of_o the_o person_n that_o offer_v incomparable_o exceed_v all_o religion_n worship_n
