prayer_n do_v not_o consist_v in_o the_o neatness_n of_o the_o phrase_n nor_o in_o the_o redundancy_n of_o rhetoric_n nor_o in_o curious_a oratory_n it_o consist_v not_o in_o outward_a expression_n in_o outward_a expression_n but_o the_o grace_n of_o prayer_n consist_v in_o the_o inward_a impression_n upon_o the_o heart_n not_o the_o outward_a expression_n of_o the_o mouth_n six_o the_o gift_n of_o prayer_n will_v quiet_v the_o heart_n for_o the_o present_a but_o it_o do_v not_o purify_v the_o heart_n it_o will_v quiet_v the_o heart_n it_o will_v stop_v the_o mouth_n of_o a_o chide_a conscience_n which_o otherwise_o will_v be_v rate_v at_o we_o if_o a_o man_n neglect_v prayer_n as_o a_o gift_n his_o conscience_n will_v be_v unquiet_a but_o now_o the_o grace_n of_o prayer_n will_v not_o only_o quiet_a but_o purify_v the_o conscience_n the_o second_o part_n of_o the_o answer_n to_o the_o objection_n be_v this_o the_o objection_n be_v this_o experience_n seem_v to_o deny_v this_o promise_n so_o the_o doctrine_n i_o shall_v commend_v to_o you_o from_o this_o second_o branch_n of_o the_o text_n be_v this_o doct._n one_o main_a reason_n why_o man_n do_v undervalue_v the_o heavenly_a canaan_n and_o so_o come_v short_a of_o it_o be_v their_o unbelief_n look_v as_o it_o be_v with_o the_o child_n of_o israel_n here_o speak_v of_o in_o the_o text_n the_o sin_n that_o make_v lord_n jesus_n christ_n that_o tell_v they_o straight_o be_v the_o gate_n and_o narrow_a be_v the_o way_n that_o lead_v to_o life_n and_o few_o there_o be_v that_o find_v it_o matth._n 7.14_o they_o
