scripture_n and_o they_o be_v the_o scripture_n of_o truth_n the_o law_n of_o truth_n the_o word_n of_o truth_n that_o necessary_o call_v for_o our_o testimony_n together_o with_o all_o those_o doctrine_n of_o faith_n and_o manner_n therein_o express_v as_o they_o be_v reduce_v from_o error_n for_o every_o divine_a truth_n lay_v down_o in_o scripture_n or_o draw_v from_o scripture_n be_v that_o the_o subject_n we_o be_v to_o bear_v witness_n unto_o and_o this_o be_v the_o truth_n that_o contain_v in_o it_o the_o doctrine_n of_o faith_n and_o manner_n the_o one_o in_o word_n the_o other_o in_o work_n so_o as_o that_o we_o in_o testimony_n of_o word_n and_o work_n shall_v bear_v witness_n to_o the_o truth_n 1._o we_o must_v bear_v witness_n to_o the_o doctrine_n of_o faith_n by_o the_o testimony_n of_o our_o word_n as_o with_o the_o heart_n man_n believe_v to_o righteousness_n so_o with_o the_o tongue_n confession_n be_v make_v unto_o salvation_n rom._n 10.10_o what_o we_o believe_v in_o our_o heart_n we_o must_v confess_v with_o our_o lip_n and_o in_o saint_n john_n 1.20_o st._n john_n baptist_n confess_v himself_o not_o to_o be_v christ_n it_o be_v clear_a he_o deny_v not_o the_o truth_n but_o only_o that_o he_o be_v not_o the_o christ_n but_o he_o that_o confess_v not_o the_o truth_n open_o deny_v christ_n in_o that_o place_n where_o god_n have_v set_v he_o whether_o he_o be_v consider_v as_o a_o private_a man_n or_o a_o minister_n as_o a_o minister_n he_o deny_v christ_n in_o word_n who_o be_v guilty_a of_o abuse_v the_o scripture_n by_o false_a gloss_n there_o be_v a_o essence_n of_o light_n in_o the_o understanding_n and_o this_o be_v as_o the_o light_n of_o the_o sun_n uncommunicate_v but_o 2._o there_o be_v a_o extrinsical_a light_a communicate_v to_o other_o thing_n which_o in_o their_o being_n be_v no_o other_o than_o uncreated_a truth_n of_o thing_n and_o these_o be_v divide_v from_o the_o create_a truth_n of_o god_n and_o be_v as_o the_o light_n of_o the_o sun_n to_o the_o moon_n and_o star_n and_o then_o there_o be_v a_o proposition_n follow_v the_o thing_n express_v which_o be_v no_o other_o in_o be_v but_o the_o thing_n itself_o and_o be_v demonstrate_v in_o the_o truth_n by_o a_o double_a application_n to_o the_o thing_n express_v and_o which_o be_v conceive_v in_o the_o mind_n by_o word_n and_o in_o the_o understanding_n by_o knowledge_n and_o this_o be_v as_o the_o light_n of_o the_o sun_n communicate_v itself_o to_o this_o region_n of_o the_o low_a air_n and_o this_o have_v multiplicity_n of_o act_n derive_v from_o the_o matter_n conceive_v and_o according_o we_o must_v distinguish_v truth_n into_o these_o four_o part_n there_o be_v a_o divine_a historical_a moral_a and_o civil_a truth_n though_o especial_o the_o divine_a truth_n be_v that_o which_o be_v to_o be_v witness_v unto_o though_o the_o other_o in_o a_o subordinate_a manner_n be_v to_o have_v their_o attestation_n also_o yet_o divine_a truth_n branch_n which_o contain_v these_o divine_a moral_a truth_n that_o be_v for_o the_o regulation_n of_o our_o life_n lay_v down_o in_o the_o scripture_n of_o the_o old_a and_o new_a testament_n there_o god_n law_n be_v the_o truth_n and_o the_o truth_n of_o the_o gospel_n be_v that_o law_n who_o precept_n and_o promise_n we_o be_v to_o imitate_v it_o be_v a_o custom_n among_o the_o heathen_n to_o derive_v their_o law_n from_o their_o god_n give_v they_o name_v according_o but_o we_o that_o be_v christian_n have_v our_o law_n from_o the_o true_a god_n who_o be_v the_o author_n of_o truth_n the_o law_n be_v give_v by_o moses_n but_o grace_n and_o truth_n come_v by_o jesus_n christ_n saint_n john_n 1.17_o where_o you_o see_v the_o truth_n of_o salvation_n be_v ascribe_v to_o the_o
