knowledge_n necessary_a to_o make_v a_o man_n good_a therefore_o to_o instance_n in_o two_o thing_n that_o be_v fundamental_o necessary_a to_o religion_n and_o conscience_n 1_o sy_n to_o know_v that_o there_o be_v a_o god_n and_o that_o we_o all_o aught_o to_o reverence_n adore_v and_o worship_n he_o god_n have_v make_v man_n to_o know_v that_o he_o be_v and_o if_o they_o know_v that_o he_o be_v they_o must_v know_v that_o they_o ought_v to_o reverence_n adore_v and_o worship_n he_o 2_o dly_z they_o must_v have_v knowledge_n of_o those_o great_a crime_n which_o be_v against_o god_n honour_n which_o be_v against_o the_o state_n of_o a_o creature_n and_o unworthy_a in_o respect_n of_o god_n and_o this_o knowledge_n i_o hold_v fundamental_a and_o indispensable_a and_o must_v be_v wherever_o there_o be_v a_o capacity_n and_o from_o this_o i_o can_v excuse_v none_o but_o infant_n and_o idiot_n that_o be_v not_o come_v to_o the_o use_v of_o reason_n or_o be_v deprive_v of_o it_o all_o else_o may_v know_v that_o there_o be_v a_o god_n and_o *_o may_n know_v the_o great_a instance_n of_o evil_a such_o as_o murder_n adultery_n blasphemy_n perjury_n and_o the_o like_a i_o may_v add_v a_o three_o instance_n which_o yet_o i_o do_v not_o mention_v with_o the_o like_a evidence_n as_o the_o former_a to_o wit_n that_o there_o will_v be_v reward_n and_o punishment_n in_o the_o next_o world_n that_o god_n will_v soon_o or_o late_a judge_v the_o world_n and_o control_v the_o wickedness_n of_o it_o and_o reward_v eminent_a virtue_n and_o goodness_n such_o a_o belief_n as_o this_o though_o it_o be_v not_o equal_o knowable_a to_o the_o other_o two_o yet_o it_o be_v knowable_a and_o be_v necessary_a for_o the_o encourage_n of_o virtue_n and_o discouragement_n of_o vice_n and_o wickedness_n this_o be_v the_o first_o thing_n those_o that_o be_v ignorant_a of_o the_o thing_n that_o be_v fundamental_o necessary_a to_o religion_n can_v say_v that_o they_o have_v keep_v the_o way_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o have_v not_o wicked_o depart_v from_o god_n for_o these_o have_v wicked_o depart_v from_o he_o although_o they_o have_v no_o more_o than_o natural_a knowledge_n and_o those_o principle_n with_o which_o at_o first_o god_n create_v man._n for_o these_o thing_n be_v manifest_a to_o all_o man_n and_o all_o man_n be_v a_o law_n unto_o themselves_o in_o these_o matter_n 1_o and_o therefore_o the_o apostle_n say_v that_o god_n be_v not_o far_o from_o every_o one_o of_o we_o 27._o and_o that_o the_o invisible_a thing_n of_o god_n be_v clear_o see_v from_o the_o creation_n of_o the_o world_n and_o those_o thing_n that_o he_o have_v make_v 20._o so_o that_o they_o who_o deny_v his_o eternal_a power_n and_o godhead_n be_v without_o excuse_n second_o they_o who_o be_v great_o careless_a and_o neglective_a of_o god_n can_v say_v that_o they_o have_v keep_v the_o way_n of_o the_o lord_n etc._n etc._n for_o two_o thing_n be_v absolute_o necessary_a to_o the_o state_n of_o religion_n and_o wherein_o we_o ought_v to_o take_v great_a care_n to_o wit_n judgement_n of_o right_n and_o conscience_n to_o do_v according_o the_o judgement_n of_o what_o be_v right_o and_o wrong_v true_a and_o false_a good_a and_o evil_a do_v require_v great_a care_n diligence_n and_o pain_n nay_o let_v i_o ask_v you_o what_o there_o be_v in_o the_o whole_a life_n of_o man_n that_o be_v valuable_a or_o worthy_a but_o do_v require_v care_n pain_n industry_n and_o diligence_n go_v over_o the_o several_a employment_n of_o the_o world_n the_o husbandman_n blow_v and_o sow_n and_o do_v every_o thing_n necessary_a to_o his_o land_n before_o he_o expect_v a_o crop_n take_v the_o merchant_n in_o
