gracious_a benefit_n to_o our_o brethren_n and_o even_o very_a equity_n require_v it_o at_o our_o hand_n that_o if_o we_o find_v mercy_n ourselves_o in_o all_o our_o need_n with_o god_n we_o shall_v not_o deny_v it_o in_o their_o want_n unto_o our_o brethren_n for_o so_o say_v 18._o the_o lord_n to_o that_o evil_a servant_n in_o the_o gospel_n that_o he_o shall_v have_v forgive_v because_o he_o be_v forgive_v himself_o and_o show_v kindness_n to_o his_o fellow_n since_o he_o have_v find_v it_o with_o the_o lord_n himself_o last_o of_o all_o that_o fearful_a threat_n of_o mercy_n ever_o to_o merciful_a you_o shall_v have_v mercy_n if_o you_o be_v merciful_a you_o be_v renown_v you_o shall_v assure_v your_o soul_n that_o you_o be_v the_o lord_n because_o you_o resemble_v his_o nature_n and_o if_o you_o be_v not_o both_o god_n and_o man_n shall_v curse_v you_o therefore_o be_v merciful_a this_o may_v encourage_v we_o and_o this_o will_v encourage_v we_o certain_o frailty_n if_o the_o lord_n be_v not_o quite_o depart_v from_o us._n but_o as_o it_o be_v needful_a that_o this_o virtue_n shall_v be_v in_o we_o so_o be_v it_o as_o needful_a that_o it_o be_v right_o in_o we_o for_o before_o which_o we_o have_v hear_v of_o under_o the_o name_n of_o méekenesse_n but_o in_o deed_n they_o differ_v much_o for_o méekenesse_n than_o be_v show_v when_o we_o ourselves_o be_v wrong_v and_o yet_o revenge_v not_o but_o put_v it_o up_o and_o leave_v it_o to_o the_o lord_n and_o mercy_n when_o we_o ourselves_o be_v no_o way_n hurt_v yet_o be_v touch_v and_o move_v with_o other_o man_n want_n and_o even_o suffer_v with_o they_o because_o they_o suffer_v endeavour_n ourselves_o to_o our_o ability_n to_o relieve_v and_o help_v they_o so_o that_o this_o virtue_n of_o mercy_n as_o you_o see_v stand_v of_o two_o part_n to_o wit_n of_o a_o tender_a feel_v and_o compassion_n within_o we_o and_o of_o a_o outward_a love_a help_n with_o our_o ability_n whatsoever_o it_o be_v without_o us._n the_o misery_n of_o man_n be_v of_o two_o sort_n and_o therefore_o also_o this_o merciful_a pity_n and_o help_v of_o as_o many_o for_o either_o a_o man_n want_v what_o be_v needful_a for_o his_o soul_n or_o what_o be_v convenient_a for_o his_o body_n and_o both_o of_o these_o do_v a_o merciful_a christian_n tender_n and_o pity_n and_o help_v as_o he_o can_v of_o the_o former_a we_o have_v a_o proof_n in_o the_o example_n of_o our_o saviour_n christ_n who_o 6._o bowel_n even_o yern_v and_o heart_n ache_v to_o see_v the_o spiritual_a misery_n and_o want_n of_o that_o great_a multitude_n that_o then_o he_o see_v be_v destitute_a of_o knowledge_n and_o altogether_o as_o wander_a sheep_n without_o a_o shepherd_n of_o the_o second_o we_o have_v a_o proof_n also_o in_o the_o samaritan_n who_o merciful_a nature_n show_v itself_o toward_o 10._o bodily_a want_n and_o outward_a grief_n of_o he_o that_o thief_n have_v so_o ill_o handle_v and_o in_o both_o these_o you_o see_v the_o part_n i_o speak_v of_o namely_o inward_a compassion_n and_o outward_a help_n without_o which_o never_o can_v this_o virtue_n stand_v nor_o we_o be_v like_v either_o of_o god_n or_o man_n for_o if_o we_o judgement_n when_o i_o be_v naked_a you_o clothe_v i_o not_o when_o i_o be_v hungry_a you_o feed_v i_o not_o and_o so_o forth_o and_o if_o we_o help_v a_o man_n in_o his_o need_n and_o yet_o do_v it_o not_o upon_o any_o tender_a compassion_n toward_o he_o but_o upon_o a_o jollity_n and_o pride_n in_o ourselves_o and_o upon_o a_o imagination_n of_o merit_n for_o the_o work_n sake_n or_o such_o like_a it_o be_v loothsome_a again_o all_o that_o ever_o we_o do_v to_o the_o lord_n and_o we_o loose_v our_o reward_n if_o you_o doubt_v of_o this_o you_o may_v see_v it_o prove_v in_o the_o
