usurp_a power_n yet_o this_o beast_n or_o government_n shall_v have_v with_o it_o such_o a_o glorious_a outside_n of_o religion_n and_o form_n of_o godliness_n as_o among_o god_n own_o people_n many_o of_o they_o shall_v not_o know_v this_o state_n or_o government_n to_o be_v the_o beast_n which_o slay_v the_o witness_n till_o the_o three_o year_n and_o half_a be_v expire_v and_o thus_o much_o for_o the_o beast_n who_o he_o be_v and_o what_o be_v signify_v by_o he_o we_o come_v now_o to_o the_o witness_n and_o how_o they_o be_v kill_v 1._o by_o the_o witness_n i_o understand_v not_o person_n but_o the_o truth_n or_o testimony_n itself_o which_o be_v hold_v forth_o and_o assert_v by_o they_o i_o say_v it_o be_v not_o the_o person_n which_o the_o beast_n be_v say_v to_o kill_v but_o the_o holy_a cause_n and_o interest_n of_o christ_n witness_v too_o and_o for_o by_o the_o saint_n of_o the_o most_o high_a so_o that_o the_o person_n may_v live_v though_o he_o be_v slay_v in_o his_o testimony_n 2._o for_o the_o testimony_n or_o witness_n it_o comprehend_v not_o all_o truth_n for_o the_o beast_n shall_v allow_v much_o truth_n and_o countenance_n man_n in_o the_o practice_n of_o it_o therefore_o the_o testimony_n which_o he_o shall_v slay_v be_v to_o be_v take_v restrictive_o that_o be_v some_o particular_a truth_n which_o he_o will_v not_o endure_v as_o proper_a to_o that_o generation_n and_o time_n in_o all_o the_o day_n of_o the_o papal_a beast_n the_o sackcloth_n witness_n may_v safe_o and_o without_o danger_n assert_v many_o gospel-truths_n that_o which_o they_o suffer_v for_o be_v for_o assert_v such_o truth_n and_o speak_v against_o such_o error_n and_o lie_v as_o that_o time_n will_v not_o bear_v it_o be_v to_o the_o disadvantage_n of_o the_o beast_n kingdom_n that_o such_o abominable_a filthiness_n shall_v be_v discover_v so_o this_o beast_n will_v not_o make_v war_n against_o every_o truth_n but_o seek_v only_o to_o destroy_v that_o testimony_n which_o he_o think_v if_o not_o kill_v will_v be_v his_o utter_a ruin_n quest_n what_o be_v that_o truth_n or_o testimony_n here_o slay_v by_o the_o beast_n answ_n it_o be_v the_o last_o witness_n which_o saint_n shall_v hold_v forth_o for_o and_o in_o the_o behalf_n of_o jesus_n christ_n against_o the_o enemy_n of_o god_n people_n and_o be_v the_o last_o of_o their_o testimony_n it_o can_v be_v no_o other_o than_o bear_v witness_n to_o christ_n bless_a and_o visible_a kingdom_n that_o he_o as_o heir_n of_o all_o thing_n will_v take_v all_o power_n rule_n &_o dominion_n into_o his_o own_o hand_n and_o that_o all_o the_o present_a power_n and_o government_n of_o the_o world_n shall_v be_v break_v to_o piece_n and_o more_o particular_o they_o shall_v now_o bear_v witness_n against_o this_o beast_n as_o to_o be_v that_o power_n and_o state_n by_o who_o the_o witness_n be_v to_o be_v sâ—ain_o and_o after_o three_o year_n and_o a_o half_a his_o dominion_n shall_v be_v take_v from_o he_o the_o observe_v of_o this_o will_v lead_v we_o to_o the_o knowledge_n both_o of_o the_o beast_n and_o time_n for_o it_o can_v be_v this_o beast_n unless_o he_o slay_v such_o a_o testimony_n in_o the_o saint_n as_o be_v here_o set_v down_o that_o be_v a_o testimony_n for_o christ_n against_o all_o present_a power_n and_o particular_o against_o the_o government_n of_o this_o beast_n as_o declare_v open_o who_o he_o be_v where_o his_o seat_n be_v and_o that_o the_o lord_n after_o three_o year_n and_o a_o half_n will_v utter_o consume_v he_o and_o here_o i_o think_v lie_v the_o difference_n between_o the_o testimony_n of_o the_o sackcloth_n witness_n before_o the_o beast_n ascend_v out_o of_o the_o bottomless_a pit_n and_o afterward_o their_o testimony_n before_o be_v main_o against_o the_o idolatry_n of_o the_o whorish_a church_n bear_v witness_n to_o the_o prophetical_a and_o priestly_a office_n of_o christ_n and_o suffer_v upon_o that_o account_n but_o afterward_o when_o the_o three_o year_n and_o half_o begin_v their_o testimony_n be_v as_o i_o say_v before_o for_o his_o reign_n and_o kingdom_n and_o this_o witness_n will_v the_o beast_n seek_v to_o murder_v allow_v that_o testimony_n which_o be_v bear_v before_o to_o his_o prophetical_a and_o priestly_a office_n by_o which_o mean_v the_o slaughter_n and_o murder_n he_o commit_v will_v not_o easy_o be_v observe_v 3._o that_o the_o witness_n be_v say_v to_o be_v two_o i_o conceive_v it_o be_v for_o this_o reason_n because_o their_o testimony_n consist_v of_o two_o part_n viz._n 1._o that_o jesus_n christ_n ought_v to_o have_v his_o right_n his_o honour_n glory_n service_n dominion_n 2._o that_o his_o enemy_n in_o not_o give_v the_o same_o to_o he_o but_o instead_o of_o exalt_v he_o exalt_v themselves_o and_o their_o own_o interest_n shall_v extreamlysuffer_v for_o it_o or_o two_o as_o witness_v for_o righteous_a thing_n and_o against_o unrighteous_a thing_n now_o for_o the_o manner_n of_o their_o slay_v he_o shall_v make_v war_n against_o they_o and_o shall_v overcome_v they_o and_o kill_v they_o first_o though_o the_o witness_n in_o their_o testimony_n be_v slay_v upon_o the_o rise_n of_o the_o beast_n and_o there_o we_o be_v to_o begin_v the_o three_o day_n and_o a_o half_a yet_o do_v he_o continue_v his_o persecution_n till_o the_o whole_a term_n be_v end_v second_o the_o lord_n preserve_v a_o remnant_n as_o he_o do_v the_o 7000_o in_o israel_n up_o and_o down_o the_o nation_n which_o keep_v the_o commandment_n of_o god_n and_o have_v the_o testimony_n of_o jesus_n all_o the_o time_n that_o the_o witnesses_o slay_v three_o he_o shall_v make_v war_n against_o they_o and_o shall_v overcome_v they_o these_o word_n be_v take_v from_o dan._n 7._o â—2_n and_o have_v be_v open_v before_o it_o be_v true_a in_o daniel_n there_o be_v no_o mention_n of_o kill_v the_o reason_n may_v be_v because_o he_o have_v respect_n to_o what_o the_o horn_n or_o beast_n know_v the_o beast_n by_o quest_n but_o how_o do_v he_o slay_v the_o testimony_n of_o jesus_n i_o answer_v many_o way_n first_o in_o some_o he_o slay_v their_o testimony_n by_o preferment_n and_o bestow_v great_a office_n and_o place_n upon_o they_o here_o i_o may_v say_v change_v a_o few_o word_n what_o be_v say_v rev._n 12._o woe_n to_o the_o inhabiter_n of_o heaven_n church_n and_o church-officer_n and_o professor_n of_o religion_n for_o the_o devil_n be_v come_v down_o unto_o you_o have_v great_a wrath_n because_o he_o know_v that_o the_o have_v but_o a_o short_a time_n this_o beast_n scorn_v to_o be_v serve_v for_o nought_o special_o if_o they_o be_v religious_a and_o man_n sear_v god_n these_o rather_o than_o other_o shall_v be_v prefer_v in_o his_o council_n army_n slay_v in_o they_o the_o last_o testimony_n of_o jesus_n for_o noman_n
and_o harken_v what_o the_o lord_n will_v speak_v i_o have_v the_o former_a thing_n for_o the_o substance_n of_o they_o give_v in_o unto_o i_o and_o i_o can_v speak_v it_o in_o truth_n i_o understand_v they_o not_o till_o now_o but_o think_v the_o time_n of_o the_o end_n be_v to_o be_v find_v out_o and_o know_v some_o other_o way_n now_o howsoever_o i_o can_v not_o but_o think_v there_o be_v something_o of_o god_n in_o this_o as_o to_o a_o answer_n of_o prayer_n especial_o have_v these_o thing_n upon_o my_o heart_n as_o i_o be_v pour_v out_o my_o soul_n at_o the_o throne_n of_o grace_n nevertheless_o consider_v the_o weightinesse_n and_o difficulty_n of_o the_o matter_n how_o differ_v it_o be_v to_o what_o other_o hold_v and_o how_o deep_o some_o and_o myself_o also_o have_v suffer_v for_o our_o mistake_v in_o meddle_v with_o such_o high_a thing_n but_o chief_o what_o a_o poor_a worthless_a and_o empty_a thing_n i_o be_v more_o brutish_a than_o any_o man_n and_o have_v not_o the_o understand_v of_o a_o man_n and_o how_o subtle_o satan_n work_v at_o this_o time_n in_o some_o by_o a_o spirit_n of_o delusion_n in_o pretend_v to_o high_a thing_n and_o that_o it_o be_v god_n that_o speak_v in_o they_o upon_o these_o and_o such_o like_a consideration_n my_o soul_n be_v sore_o distress_v and_o i_o beseech_v the_o lord_n with_o tear_n day_n and_o night_n that_o he_o will_v take_v pity_n on_o i_o and_o not_o leave_v i_o to_o a_o deceive_v heart_n but_o as_o often_o as_o i_o set_v my_o face_n unto_o the_o lord_n by_o prayer_n and_o supplication_n i_o find_v myself_o more_o encourage_v and_o have_v more_o of_o the_o prophecy_n open_v unto_o i_o yea_o and_o the_o lord_n know_v i_o lie_v not_o whensoever_o my_o heart_n have_v be_v most_o melt_v and_o break_v before_o he_o and_o my_o soul_n swallow_v up_o with_o the_o great_a love_n and_o long_v after_o his_o glory_n at_o such_o time_n i_o have_v be_v most_o confirm_v and_o strengthen_v to_o believe_v that_o it_o be_v the_o spirit_n of_o truth_n which_o reveal_v these_o thing_n to_o i_o a_o worm_n nevertheless_o be_v yet_o unsatisfied_a in_o myself_o as_o fearful_a lest_o i_o shall_v go_v aside_o from_o the_o teach_n of_o god_n i_o acquaint_v some_o of_o some_o of_o my_o christian_a friend_n with_o the_o thing_n and_o how_o the_o case_n stand_v with_o i_o and_o desire_v that_o the_o same_o may_v be_v spread_v before_o the_o lord_n the_o which_o be_v do_v several_a time_n and_o very_o earnest_o be_v the_o lord_n seek_v unto_o for_o counsel_n and_o direction_n that_o there_o may_v be_v no_o miscarriage_n on_o either_o hand_n much_o i_o can_v say_v concern_v this_o particular_a but_o i_o shall_v say_v no_o more_o than_o this_o i_o find_v the_o fruit_n of_o their_o prayer_n a_o be_v it_o speak_v i_o see_v no_o such_o thing_n intend_v by_o the_o holy_a ghost_n no_o civil_a war_n nor_o civil_a kill_n intimate_v but_o as_o the_o thing_n slay_v be_v spiritual_a namely_o the_o testimomony_n of_o jesus_n so_o this_o war_n and_o kill_v be_v to_o be_v take_v not_o civil_o but_o in_o a_o spiritual_a sense_n i_o say_v it_o be_v the_o truth_n that_o suffer_v rather_o than_o person_n for_o it_o and_o in_o this_o regard_n the_o beast_n will_v slay_v the_o witness_n without_o any_o great_a noise_n or_o notice_n this_o also_o may_v serve_v to_o remove_v another_o stone_n out_o of_o some_o man_n way_n occasion_v through_o our_o streightning_n thing_n to_o a_o particular_a country_n or_o isle_n as_o if_o the_o last_o apostasy_n the_o little_a horn_n and_o the_o beast_n which_o slay_v the_o witness_n shall_v be_v apply_v more_o general_n and_o large_a than_o we_o do_v answ_n 1._o the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n will_v not_o come_v with_o observation_n i_o wish_v that_o another_o until_o all_o christ_n enemy_n be_v make_v his_o foot_n stool_n 2._o i_o be_o ground_o convince_v that_o the_o work_n shall_v begin_v upon_o the_o last_o apostasy_n the_o little_a horn_n
