17._o 2._o and_o according_a as_o those_o text_n before_o mention_v do_v abundant_o prove_v it_o will_v be_v therefore_o necessary_a to_o see_v and_o consider_v whether_o there_o be_v any_o glory_n at_o present_a any_o way_n answerable_a to_o these_o text_n of_o scripture_n above_o quote_v or_o any_o way_n come_v near_o unto_o it_o among_o the_o several_a profession_n of_o this_o age_n as_o for_o those_o single_a congregation_n which_o go_v under_o the_o name_n of_o independent_a or_o baptist_n or_o any_o other_o which_o profess_v to_o walk_v in_o the_o way_n of_o the_o gospel_n no_o nor_o yet_o the_o seeker_n they_o ascribe_v unto_o themselves_o not_o such_o thing_n but_o for_o those_o man_n which_o go_v under_o the_o vulgar_a name_n of_o ranter_n they_o do_v ascribe_v unto_o themselves_o a_o great_a perfection_n namely_o that_o they_o be_v come_v to_o zion_n and_o enjoy_v god_n perfect_o and_o that_o god_n be_v all_o in_o all_o unto_o they_o and_o that_o the_o son_n in_o they_o have_v deliver_v up_o the_o kingdom_n unto_o god_n the_o father_n as_o may_v be_v see_v in_o their_o book_n therefore_o let_v we_o examine_v what_o sign_n of_o glory_n be_v so_o excellent_a among_o they_o as_o first_o to_o begin_v with_o their_o person_n as_o they_o be_v man_n i_o be_o not_o able_a to_o discern_v as_o yet_o but_o that_o they_o be_v man_n subject_a to_o the_o like_a passion_n as_o other_o man_n and_o therefore_o in_o that_o respect_n no_o such_o glory_n as_o for_o those_o misery_n which_o be_v incident_a unto_o man_n life_n as_o hunger_n thirst_n cold_a heat_n sickness_n and_o disease_n which_o be_v common_a to_o man_n they_o have_v their_o part_n as_o other_o man_n for_o aught_o i_o can_v yet_o see_v and_o therefore_o no_o such_o glory_n as_o for_o those_o gift_n and_o grace_n of_o the_o spirit_n as_o faith_n hope_n love_n self-deniall_n meekness_n temperance_n patience_n i_o see_v no_o great_a measure_n in_o they_o then_o in_o other_o christian_n and_o therefore_o no_o such_o glory_n as_o for_o perfection_n and_o a_o life_n free_a from_o sin_n and_o uncleanness_n i_o see_v no_o such_o excellency_n in_o they_o more_o than_o in_o other_o sort_n of_o christian_n as_o it_o be_v boast_v that_o they_o can_v do_v such_o and_o such_o thing_n which_o be_v in_o themselves_o wicked_a and_o yet_o unto_o they_o without_o sin_n therefore_o in_o that_o respect_n no_o such_o glory_n as_o for_o any_o spirit_n of_o infallibility_n in_o they_o speak_v as_o the_o oracle_n of_o god_n more_o in_o they_o then_o in_o other_o christian_n i_o see_v no_o difference_n nay_o what_o prophecy_v of_o they_o be_v come_v to_o pass_v therefore_o no_o such_o glory_n in_o the_o least_o degree_n therefore_o i_o conceive_v i_o may_v conclude_v with_o this_o argument_n against_o they_o that_o the_o first_o appearance_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n both_o in_o himself_o and_o in_o his_o apostle_n be_v glorious_a witness_v the_o spirit_n descend_v like_o a_o dove_n upon_o he_o and_o also_o upon_o his_o apostle_n there_o do_v appeal_v unto_o they_o cleave_a tongue_n like_v unto_o fire_n and_o sit_v upon_o they_o and_o they_o be_v fill_v with_o the_o holy_a ghost_n act_v 2._o 3_o 4._o but_o the_o second_o appearance_n of_o jesus_n christ_n will_v be_v with_o much_o more_o glory_n as_o may_v be_v see_v matthew_n 17._o 2._o but_o that_o perfection_n and_o glory_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n in_o those_o man_n as_o they_o pretend_v come_v short_a of_o the_o glory_n of_o the_o first_o time_n as_o experience_n witness_v therefore_o i_o conceive_v i_o may_v safe_o conclude_v
