to_o that_o which_o be_v before_o 3.13_o phil._n 3.13_o and_o that_o still_o look_v to_o jesus_n the_o author_n and_o finisher_n of_o our_o faith_n that_o so_o we_o may_v endeavour_v to_o perfect_a holiness_n thus_o we_o must_v live_v by_o faith_n in_o discern_v the_o manner_n of_o our_o growth_n and_o this_o will_v afford_v we_o many_o comfortable_a conclusion_n to_o settle_v we_o against_o diverse_a tentation_n which_o be_v incident_a hereto_o as_o first_o whereas_o it_o much_o distract_v the_o saint_n that_o because_o they_o can_v sensible_o discern_v for_o the_o present_a the_o maâ—ner_n of_o their_o spiritual_a growth_n no_o more_o than_o they_o can_v their_o natural_a therefore_o they_o question_v ofttimes_o the_o truth_n thereof_o if_o now_o they_o shall_v know_v that_o in_o the_o discern_a thereof_o they_o must_v live_v by_o faith_n and_o not_o by_o sense_n this_o distraction_n will_v easy_o be_v remedy_v for_o now_o see_v that_o may_v be_v believe_v by_o faith_n presumption_n and_o keep_v in_o a_o continual_a hunger_n after_o the_o best_a grace_n and_o this_o meet_v with_o a_o second_o tentation_n arise_v from_o present_a feel_n of_o the_o work_n of_o grace_n teach_v we_o to_o avoid_v spiritual_a pride_n presumption_n etc._n etc._n by_o live_v still_o by_o faith_n above_o and_o beyond_o all_o present_a feel_n and_o second_o though_o in_o our_o best_a performance_n of_o holy_a duty_n we_o find_v not_o that_o present_a answer_n as_o we_o expect_v but_o rather_o meet_v with_o what_o be_v contrary_a thereunto_o yet_o if_o now_o we_o can_v live_v by_o faith_n we_o shall_v be_v full_o satisfy_v for_o faith_n will_v now_o teach_v we_o to_o perform_v obedience_n unto_o god_n simple_o because_o he_o command_v and_o not_o so_o much_o for_o what_o be_v promise_v and_o so_o to_o measure_v our_o spiritual_a growth_n rather_o by_o increase_n of_o our_o obedience_n then_o return_v of_o the_o issue_n thereof_o yea_o though_o we_o have_v not_o our_o particular_a answer_n for_o the_o present_a yet_o the_o trial_n of_o our_o faith_n will_v bring_v forth_o patience_n 1.3_o jam._n 1.3_o and_o patience_n will_v perfect_v the_o work_n by_o perseverance_n therein_o yea_o faith_n 11.1_o heb._n 11.1_o which_o be_v of_o thing_n not_o see_v will_v enable_v we_o to_o see_v a_o far_o off_o into_o that_o great_a reward_n 11.26_o heb._n 11.26_o which_o will_v sufficient_o supply_v and_o recompense_v all_o our_o present_a disappointment_n and_o waiting_n nay_o though_o we_o meet_v with_o contrary_a blast_n and_o issue_n to_o our_o desire_n yet_o faith_n that_o purify_v the_o heart_n 15.9_o act_n 15.9_o will_v reveal_v unto_o we_o some_o inward_a cause_n of_o these_o contrary_a effect_n and_o so_o will_v enable_v we_o to_o purge_v out_o power_n of_o faith_n that_o rest_v we_o upon_o the_o power_n &_o good_a pleasure_n of_o god_n it_o will_v thereby_o pacify_v the_o mind_n in_o what_o god_n please_v to_o dispense_v and_o satisfy_v also_o the_o same_o that_o this_o be_v best_a for_o we_o though_o for_o the_o present_a we_o can_v discern_v it_o through_o impatience_n pride_n or_o such_o like_a yea_o the_o power_n of_o faith_n will_v dispel_v these_o fog_n and_o make_v manifest_a to_o the_o advise_a spirit_n what_o may_v be_v best_a for_o it_o yea_o herein_o also_o appear_v the_o wonderful_a virtue_n of_o faith_n that_o it_o will_v keep_v the_o work_n a_o foot_n more_o earnest_o the_o more_o it_o seem_v to_o be_v cross_v &_o continue_v the_o same_o more_o eager_o in_o hope_n at_o length_n to_o prevail_v and_o never_o give_v over_o till_o it_o have_v overcome_v the_o lord_n oh_o that_o we_o can_v wise_o consider_v thereof_o indeed_o we_o have_v a_o promise_n that_o if_o we_o believe_v we_o shall_v obtain_v whatsoever_o we_o ask_v so_o that_o it_o may_v seem_v that_o if_o we_o do_v not_o obtain_v we_o do_v not_o believe_v but_o if_o we_o remember_v withal_o that_o we_o must_v ask_v according_a to_o god_n will_v and_o that_o beggar_n must_v be_v no_o chooser_n and_o that_o we_o may_v not_o indent_v with_o god_n either_o for_o the_o time_n or_o particular_a for_o so_o we_o live_v by_o faith_n we_o may_v undoubted_o obtain_v what_o be_v best_a for_o we_o if_o not_o the_o particular_a for_o the_o present_a yet_o what_o meanwhile_o shall_v be_v better_o and_o the_o particular_a if_o necessary_a in_o the_o time_n most_o convenient_a only_o let_v we_o pray_v in_o faith_n 1.6_o jam._n 1.6_o and_o so_o wait_v with_o patience_n apprehend_v he_o which_o be_v invisible_a and_o in_o he_o the_o glory_n provoke_v he_o to_o leave_v we_o to_o our_o own_o counsel_n either_o to_o hypocrisy_n as_o to_o rest_v in_o the_o outside_n or_o form_n thereof_o and_o so_o to_o justify_v the_o same_o and_o boast_v therein_o and_o so_o to_o rob_v god_n of_o his_o glory_n and_o so_o to_o be_v give_v up_o to_o profaneness_n and_o gross_a evil_n as_o to_o punish_v our_o pride_n so_o to_o confound_v our_o contrary_a as_o a_o sight_n of_o it_o in_o the_o understanding_n and_o then_o we_o may_v be_v sure_a of_o the_o truth_n of_o the_o work_n see_v that_o the_o hypocrite_n may_v by_o the_o power_n of_o conscience_n natural_o especial_o be_v enlighten_v by_o the_o spirit_n discern_v sin_n and_o so_o be_v conumce_v of_o it_o but_o yet_o his_o heart_n be_v not_o renew_a by_o grace_n neither_o can_v he_o hate_v it_o unfeigned_o or_o be_v willing_a to_o part_v with_o it_o upon_o the_o best_a term_n neither_o be_v able_a in_o any_o measure_n to_o forsake_v the_o same_o upon_o the_o true_a ground_n in_o obedience_n and_o love_n unto_o god_n but_o only_o upon_o by-respect_n out_o of_o love_n to_o himself_o he_o may_v so_o leave_v some_o sin_n as_o to_o enchange_v it_o for_o a_o more_o sweet_a and_o profitable_a or_o else_o he_o must_v leave_v it_o because_o ability_n and_o opportunity_n serve_v not_o thereto_o or_o else_o he_o leave_v with_o condition_n to_o resume_v it_o again_o upon_o a_o better_a opportunity_n and_o advantage_n and_o so_o as_o he_o will_v no_o good_a at_o all_o so_o if_o he_o do_v any_o it_o be_v not_o from_o the_o power_n of_o grace_n but_o from_o outward_a respect_n neither_o do_v he_o continue_v therein_o otherwise_o then_o may_v serve_v his_o carnal_a end_n make_v hereby_o amends_n for_o some_o grievous_a sin_n or_o seek_v to_o further_a and_o cloak_n they_o more_o dangerous_o hereby_o 3._o as_o in_o the_o new_a birth_n though_o there_o be_v a_o faculty_n of_o every_o quality_n &_o power_n yet_o there_o be_v not_o a_o present_a execution_n and_o use_n thereof_o as_o there_o be_v in_o the_o first_o bear_v a_o faculty_n of_o speak_v go_v reason_n etc._n etc._n yet_o no_o present_a use_n thereof_o so_o be_v it_o in_o the_o new_a creature_n though_o by_o the_o spirit_n all_o grace_n be_v begin_v in_o we_o in_o regard_n of_o the_o faculty_n of_o they_o yet_o for_o the_o use_n of_o they_o we_o must_v expect_v in_o those_o season_n when_o they_o may_v best_o serve_v for_o god_n glory_n and_o our_o build_n forward_o in_o christ_n reason_n hereof_o be_v 1._o because_o some_o grace_n arise_v out_o of_o other_o as_o first_o faith_n be_v we_o attain_v to_o many_o grace_n in_o their_o several_a place_n and_o use_v and_o hence_o arise_v these_o conclusion_n for_o our_o comfort_n in_o the_o manner_n of_o our_o growth_n 1_o that_o there_o may_v be_v the_o seed_n of_o all_o grace_n in_o we_o though_o for_o the_o present_a we_o have_v no_o use_n of_o they_o 2_o that_o god_n require_v no_o further_o the_o use_n of_o any_o grace_n in_o the_o regenerate_a than_o we_o have_v knowledge_n thereof_o 3_o that_o as_o our_o knowledge_n be_v like_o the_o light_n shine_v more_o and_o more_o unto_o the_o perfect_a day_n so_o though_o our_o practice_n according_a to_o that_o knowledge_n in_o some_o grace_n as_o yet_o be_v none_o because_o we_o know_v not_o the_o use_n of_o they_o or_o have_v no_o occasion_n thereto_o yea_o though_o our_o practice_n be_v weak_a in_o any_o that_o we_o know_v because_o our_o knowledge_n be_v weak_a yet_o this_o do_v not_o deny_v the_o truth_n thereof_o but_o rather_o evidence_n the_o same_o because_o god_n power_n must_v be_v see_v in_o our_o weakness_n but_o rather_o be_v a_o mean_n to_o interest_n we_o in_o the_o power_n of_o god_n to_o enable_v to_o a_o further_a measure_n 4_o as_o in_o the_o new_a birth_n though_o there_o be_v a_o truth_n and_o beginning_n of_o all_o grace_n and_o faculty_n in_o we_o yet_o we_o attain_v the_o perfection_n of_o they_o not_o at_o once_o but_o all_o our_o life_n long_o so_o be_v it_o in_o the_o new_a creature_n we_o be_v not_o at_o the_o first_o perfect_a in_o every_o grace_n but_o be_v grow_v by_o degree_n to_o perfection_n even_o to_o our_o dissolution_n 3._o whence_o these_o comfortable_a conclusion_n follow_v first_o that_o imperfection_n in_o grace_n do_v not_o argue_v a_o nullity_n thereof_o but_o rather_o establish_v the_o truth_n believe_v and_o such_o like_a yet_o still_o there_o be_v a_o thrive_a of_o the_o new_a man_n continual_o because_o the_o spirit_n be_v constant_o operative_a whence_o it_o follow_v for_o our_o suspend_v but_o also_o that_o in_o sickness_n very_o dangerous_a and_o tedious_a it_o notwithstanding_o grow_v and_o thrive_v more_o than_o otherwise_o ordinary_o in_o a_o state_n of_o health_n by_o reason_n that_o such_o sickness_n resolve_v such_o desperate_a obstruction_n as_o bind_v and_o hinder_v nature_n from_o thrive_a &_o also_o dissolve_v and_o consume_v such_o pestilent_a humour_n as_o poison_v the_o spirit_n and_o restrain_v nature_n from_o do_v it_o office_n and_o sure_o in_o like_a manner_n fare_v it_o with_o the_o new_a birth_n that_o it_o not_o only_o thrive_v even_o insensible_o and_o in_o time_n of_o intermission_n and_o suspend_v of_o some_o operation_n of_o the_o spirit_n who_o suspension_n prove_v the_o mean_n of_o enlarge_n and_o supply_n of_o such_o other_o as_o more_o immediate_o and_o effectual_o further_a the_o main_a growth_n but_o also_o in_o a_o wonderful_a manner_n even_o prove_v and_o grow_v by_o contrary_n even_o by_o such_o evil_n and_o fayling_n of_o the_o soul_n which_o may_v seem_v to_o threaten_v utter_a dissolution_n so_o that_o the_o more_o it_o have_v be_v cast_v behind_o the_o fast_a it_o hie_v to_o it_o journey_n end_n make_v inward_a advantage_n of_o it_o outward_a fayling_n and_o purge_v out_o secret_a sin_n by_o fall_v in_o grosser_n evil_n which_o as_o it_o may_v instruct_v we_o wise_o to_o judge_v of_o our_o spiritual_a growth_n not_o to_o challenge_v the_o truth_n thereof_o though_o it_o be_v not_o sensible_a at_o all_o time_n much_o less_o to_o esteem_v that_o a_o decay_n therein_o which_o prove_v the_o mean_n of_o further_a increase_n so_o it_o comfort_v exceed_o in_o our_o great_a slip_n that_o they_o shall_v turn_v about_o gracious_o to_o our_o great_a advantage_n last_o to_o conclude_v this_o first_o resemblance_n may_v we_o not_o observe_v in_o the_o natural_a birth_n that_o in_o the_o cold_a season_n the_o inward_a heat_n be_v more_o powerful_a in_o the_o least_o burden_n of_o flesh_n the_o spirit_n be_v more_o active_a and_o forcible_a nay_o that_o in_o the_o great_a sounding_n and_o faint_n cause_v by_o the_o suffocate_a of_o the_o spirit_n or_o some_o sudden_a and_o violent_a outward_a accident_n yet_o than_o the_o blood_n and_o spirit_n retire_v to_o the_o most_o noble_a and_o principal_a part_n the_o heart_n not_o only_o to_o preserve_v themselves_o but_o there_o with_o all_o to_o fortify_v it_o that_o it_o may_v withstand_v and_o overcome_v the_o extremity_n and_o so_o again_o be_v enlarge_v to_o the_o better_a quicken_a of_o the_o body_n and_o sure_o so_o it_o fall_v out_o in_o our_o spiritual_a birth_n that_o not_o only_o outward_a affliction_n prove_v mean_n of_o our_o spiritual_a courage_n but_o usual_o in_o the_o less_o supply_n of_o nature_n there_o appear_v a_o great_a measure_n of_o grace_n yea_o when_o by_o reason_n of_o divine_a desertion_n at_o least_o in_o part_n the_o spirit_n seem_v to_o fail_v we_o outward_o yet_o then_o do_v it_o more_o inward_o sustain_v we_o in_o the_o most_o necessary_a and_o main_a work_n send_v we_o to_o the_o trial_n and_o search_n of_o our_o heart_n and_o so_o confirm_v we_o in_o the_o evidence_n thereof_o yea_o hereby_o increase_n the_o zeal_n thereof_o against_o all_o sin_n by_o experience_n of_o particular_a fayling_n and_o make_v we_o more_o wise_a and_o eager_a to_o prevent_v or_o expel_v the_o same_o whereby_o we_o be_v teach_v to_o judge_v wise_o of_o ourselves_o and_o other_o in_o such_o accident_n that_o seem_v so_o contrary_a to_o flesh_n and_o to_o live_v by_o faith_n in_o the_o issue_v thereof_o comfort_v ourselves_o that_o as_o this_o more_o advance_v the_o free_a mercy_n power_n and_o wisdom_n of_o our_o god_n so_o it_o shall_v also_o much_o further_o and_o encourage_v our_o spiritual_a growth_n thus_o of_o the_o first_o mystery_n whereunto_o our_o spiritual_a birth_n be_v resemble_v whereby_o we_o may_v discern_v the_o manner_n of_o our_o growth_n therein_o and_o this_o also_o may_v be_v further_o confirm_v by_o that_o other_o mystery_n resemble_v the_o same_o namely_o in_o that_o it_o be_v liken_v unto_o seed_n 1._o john_n 3.8_o as_o in_o respect_n of_o the_o mean_n whereby_o it_o be_v wrought_v james._n 1_o james._n namely_o the_o immortal_a seed_n of_o the_o word_n 1._o 1_o pet._n 1._o so_o in_o respect_n of_o the_o work_n itself_o 1._o john_n 3.8_o which_o be_v therefore_o resemble_v by_o seed_n john_n 12._o cast_v into_o the_o ground_n 1._o because_o as_o the_o seed_n come_v not_o to_o ripeness_n at_o the_o first_o but_o in_o due_a season_n hasten_v thereto_o thus_o do_v the_o spirit_n lead_v forward_o the_o manner_n of_o our_o growth_n to_o justify_v the_o freedom_n and_o so_o the_o wisdom_n and_o faithfulness_n thereof_o and_o this_o shall_v further_o appear_v unto_o we_o by_o the_o second_o property_n of_o the_o wind_n that_o though_o we_o hear_v the_o sound_n thereof_o yet_o we_o know_v not_o whence_o it_o come_v nor_o whither_o enable_v of_o we_o in_o well-doing_n and_o also_o by_o the_o effect_n thereof_o quiet_v our_o heart_n therein_o by_o the_o testimony_n of_o our_o conscience_n and_o scale_v up_o the_o approbation_n thereof_o by_o the_o fruit_n thereof_o assurance_n of_o our_o salvation_n and_o joy_n in_o the_o spirit_n from_o the_o same_o yet_o lest_o we_o shall_v imagine_v the_o spirit_n tie_v only_o to_o this_o effect_n or_o that_o we_o deserve_v the_o same_o out_o of_o the_o worth_n of_o our_o well-doing_n and_o so_o encroach_v upon_o the_o worthiness_n of_o our_o head_n therefore_o we_o shall_v but_o hear_v not_o see_v full_o for_o that_o remain_v for_o another_o life_n some_o notice_n we_o shall_v have_v of_o the_o truth_n of_o it_o work_v though_o we_o can_v full_o discern_v the_o mystery_n thereof_o and_o we_o shall_v but_o hear_v the_o sound_n thereof_o some_o such_o feel_n thereof_o we_o shall_v have_v as_o may_v assure_v we_o that_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n be_v not_o in_o vain_a though_o we_o may_v want_v of_o such_o evidence_n which_o may_v evince_v the_o perfection_n of_o grace_n as_o be_v most_o fit_a for_o this_o state_n of_o grow_v our_o faith_n shall_v be_v mingle_v with_o some_o doubt_v our_o grace_n with_o some_o mixture_n of_o corruption_n that_o as_o we_o may_v discern_v the_o truth_n thereof_o so_o we_o may_v also_o discern_v the_o imperfection_n of_o the_o same_o that_o so_o we_o may_v daily_o hasten_v to_o perfection_n by_o daily_o deny_v of_o ourselves_o and_o labour_v to_o be_v find_v in_o christ_n not_o have_v our_o own_o righteousness_n and_o therefore_o howsoever_o we_o have_v not_o the_o perfect_a sight_n and_o feel_n of_o our_o grow_v in_o grace_n neither_o enjoy_v sensible_a comfort_n in_o the_o same_o at_o all_o time_n alike_o yet_o be_v this_o so_o far_o from_o challenge_v the_o truth_n of_o god_n grace_n in_o we_o as_o that_o rather_o it_o do_v evidence_n undoubted_o the_o power_n thereof_o see_v in_o regard_n of_o the_o combat_n between_o the_o flesh_n and_o the_o spirit_n there_o must_v necessary_o fall_v out_o such_o difference_n of_o the_o work_n of_o the_o spirit_n and_o also_o of_o our_o apprehension_n thereof_o whereas_o if_o it_o be_v always_o in_o one_o key_n and_o temper_n it_o be_v a_o plain_a argument_n that_o there_o be_v no_o such_o combat_n and_o so_o no_o true_a conversion_n only_o here_o let_v it_o suffice_v we_o that_o our_o god_n know_v what_o be_v best_a for_o we_o and_o will_v work_v as_o it_o please_v he_o that_o his_o grace_n may_v still_o be_v free_a and_o if_o ever_o we_o have_v any_o true_a feel_n of_o the_o work_n it_o be_v a_o evidence_n that_o we_o shall_v have_v it_o again_o or_o else_o that_o which_o shall_v be_v better_o for_o we_o know_v that_o here_o we_o live_v by_o faith_n and_o not_o by_o sight_n 2._o cor._n 5.7_o and_o that_o the_o power_n of_o god_n must_v be_v perfect_v in_o our_o weakness_n 2._o cor._n 12.8_o remember_v now_o what_o be_v add_v in_o the_o apprehension_n yea_o contrary_a to_o sense_n and_o ordinary_a course_n as_o the_o ship_n many_o time_n sail_n by_o side_n and_o contrary_a wind_n towards_o the_o port_n and_o be_v fain_o sometime_o to_o forgo_v her_o burden_n yea_o her_o anchor_n to_o that_o so_o she_o may_v escape_v the_o storm_n and_o ride_v safe_o to_o the_o haven_n so_o be_v we_o lead_v along_o in_o this_o work_n of_o grace_n to_o this_o end_n consider_v we_o further_o that_o our_o new_a birth_n and_o growth_n in_o grace_n be_v compare_v to_o a_o combat_n express_v therein_o as_o the_o manner_n of_o it_o growth_n which_o be_v by_o a_o continual_a bicker_n and_o contention_n between_o the_o spirit_n and_o the_o flesh_n so_o thereby_o also_o give_v we_o some_o direction_n how_o to_o discern_v the_o manner_n thereof_o even_o by_o a_o continual_a fight_n and_o wrestle_v within_o we_o whence_o arise_v these_o conclusion_n that_o as_o the_o spirit_n prevail_v two_o way_n either_o by_o strengthen_v we_o to_o overcome_v the_o present_a tentation_n or_o else_o by_o leave_v we_o to_o the_o particular_a tentation_n for_o the_o present_a thereby_o either_o to_o arm_v we_o better_o against_o the_o same_o hereafter_o that_o so_o we_o may_v after_o a_o foil_n attain_v a_o more_o glorious_a victory_n or_o though_o it_o leave_v we_o to_o be_v foil_v by_o the_o particular_a tentation_n yet_o it_o do_v by_o that_o foil_n prevent_v and_o overcome_v that_o which_o may_v be_v more_o dangerous_a therefore_o 1._o that_o we_o then_o grow_v in_o grace_n when_o we_o make_v advantage_n of_o our_o foil_n to_o prevent_v after_o fall_v or_o be_v recompense_v in_o our_o foil_n with_o more_o humility_n and_o repentance_n to_o be_v prepare_v to_o further_a trial_n 2._o that_o whatsoever_o duty_n we_o perform_v if_o there_o be_v not_o both_o a_o struggle_a before_o hand_n by_o the_o flesh_n to_o hinder_v the_o act_n thereof_o and_o a_o combat_n after_o by_o the_o spirit_n to_o purge_v the_o same_o of_o hypocrisy_n formality_n etc._n etc._n we_o have_v little_a comfort_n either_o of_o the_o truth_n thereof_o or_o of_o our_o growth_n therein_o 3._o that_o the_o discern_a of_o the_o manner_n of_o our_o growth_n be_v rather_o by_o the_o issue_n and_o success_n of_o the_o combat_n then_o by_o the_o present_a wrestle_a because_o for_o the_o present_a through_o violence_n of_o tentation_n and_o heat_n of_o affection_n strive_v there_o against_o our_o faith_n be_v now_o exercise_v be_v so_o intentive_a in_o the_o encounter_n that_o it_o have_v enough_o to_o do_v to_o keep_v it_o own_o therein_o and_o therefore_o no_o marvel_n if_o as_o it_o need_v not_o so_o it_o can_v discern_v for_o the_o present_a sensible_a growth_n therein_o 4._o see_v our_o great_a valour_n in_o this_o life_n be_v rather_o to_o discern_v more_o deep_o our_o corruption_n and_o to_o be_v humble_v for_o the_o same_o therefore_o we_o shall_v best_o discern_v the_o manner_n of_o our_o growth_n rather_o by_o a_o and_o rest_n in_o he_o though_o yet_o we_o find_v little_a conformity_n to_o he_o in_o our_o life_n because_o the_o seed_n must_v first_o be_v sow_v inward_o in_o the_o heart_n &_o there_o even_o herein_o be_v our_o comfort_n that_o as_o our_o acceptance_n in_o christ_n make_v we_o gracious_a by_o some_o measure_n and_o fruit_n of_o his_o spirit_n with_o he_o so_o our_o conformity_n hereby_o to_o his_o image_n shall_v own_v we_o unto_o he_o howsoever_o it_o may_v be_v short_a of_o the_o perfect_a pattern_n a_o 2._o caveat_n herein_o be_v that_o see_v there_o be_v diverse_a kind_n of_o the_o grace_n of_o the_o spirit_n some_o original_n and_o simple_o necessary_a to_o life_n as_o faith_n repentance_n etc._n etc._n other_o consequent_a and_o further_a the_o comfort_n and_o beauty_n necessary_a but_o by_o the_o former_a but_o of_o this_o more_o full_o god_n will_v in_o the_o case_n a_o three_o rule_n of_o discern_v the_o manner_n of_o our_o growth_n be_v according_a to_o those_o several_a calling_n wherein_o god_n have_v place_v we_o that_o so_o we_o may_v bring_v forth_o fruit_n in_o due_a season_n that_o be_v whereas_o every_o christian_a have_v two_o calling_n first_o his_o general_n call_v to_o the_o faith_n as_o he_o be_v a_o member_n of_o christ_n and_o second_o his_o particular_a call_n for_o the_o public_a and_o private_a good_a as_o he_o be_v a_o member_n thereof_o both_o these_o as_o they_o be_v limit_v in_o themselves_o so_o also_o be_v they_o limit_v and_o subordinate_a to_o each_o other_o i_o say_v first_o they_o be_v limit_v in_o themselves_o as_o that_o the_o general_n call_v of_o each_o christian_a be_v first_o limit_v to_o the_o place_n and_o ranke_n he_o enjoy_v in_o the_o church_n wherein_o he_o be_v either_o a_o public_a parson_n to_o the_o prophet_n may_v be_v subject_a to_o the_o prophet_n that_o confusion_n may_v be_v avoid_v and_o unity_n preserve_v as_o some_o to_o rule_v and_o some_o to_o teach_v some_o for_o doctrine_n and_o some_o for_o discipline_n some_o for_o exhortation_n and_o some_o for_o relief_n etc._n etc._n or_o else_o he_o be_v a_o private_a person_n fit_a only_a to_o be_v teach_v in_o the_o public_a and_o not_o to_o teach_v and_o yet_o not_o debar_v from_o teach_v his_o family_n in_o private_a the_o fear_n of_o god_n 11._o 1._o cor._n 11._o genes_n 18._o and_o both_o these_o limit_v by_o the_o several_a gift_n bestow_v on_o they_o the_o lord_n require_v no_o more_o than_o he_o give_v and_o limit_v as_o also_o in_o some_o sort_n measure_v by_o the_o opportunity_n and_o success_n therein_o and_o so_o also_o the_o civil_a call_n have_v it_o bound_n in_o itself_o both_o according_a to_o the_o different_a degree_n and_o rank_n of_o man_n the_o wise_a lord_n have_v dispose_v in_o the_o
