upon_o it_o and_o wait_v his_o pleasure_n with_o prayer_n for_o his_o grace_n assure_v ourselves_o that_o in_o the_o end_n he_o will_v make_v this_o his_o own_o ordinance_n effectual_a whereas_o those_o who_o neglect_n and_o contemn_v god_n word_n have_v no_o such_o assurance_n because_o it_o be_v the_o mean_n and_o instrument_n which_o be_v ordain_v of_o god_n for_o this_o purpose_n without_o which_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n do_v not_o ordinary_o beget_v faith_n or_o any_o save_a grace_n in_o us._n so_o then_o the_o principal_a agent_n and_o beginner_n hereof_o be_v the_o holy_a ghost_n enlighten_v the_o mind_n and_o conscience_n with_o spiritual_a and_o divine_a light_n but_o the_o instrument_n to_o this_o action_n be_v the_o ministry_n of_o the_o gospel_n whereby_o the_o word_n of_o life_n be_v apply_v in_o the_o name_n of_o god_n to_o the_o person_n of_o every_o believer_n and_o this_o be_v do_v and_o conceive_v in_o a_o form_n of_o reason_v frame_v in_o the_o mind_n by_o the_o holy_a ghost_n apply_v the_o promise_n of_o the_o gospel_n in_o this_o manner_n every_o one_o that_o believe_v in_o christ_n be_v the_o child_n of_o god_n rom._n 8.30_o and_o inheritor_n of_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n this_o proposition_n be_v make_v by_o the_o minister_n of_o the_o word_n in_o the_o public_a congregation_n and_o it_o be_v nothing_o else_o but_o the_o promise_n of_o eternal_a life_n apply_v to_o the_o particular_a hearer_n now_o while_o the_o hearer_n of_o god_n word_n give_v themselves_o to_o meditate_v and_o consider_v of_o the_o same_o promise_n come_v the_o spirit_n of_o god_n and_o enlighten_v the_o eye_n and_o open_v the_o heart_n and_o give_v they_o power_n both_o to_o will_v to_o believe_v and_o to_o believe_v indeed_o so_o as_o a_o man_n shall_v with_o freedom_n of_o spirit_n make_v a_o assumption_n say_v but_o i_o believe_v in_o christ_n i_o renounce_v myself_o and_o all_o my_o joy_n &_o comfort_n be_v in_o he_o flesh_n and_o blood_n can_v say_v this_o matth._n 16.17_o it_o be_v the_o operation_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n cap._n 11.25_o hence_o arise_v this_o bless_a conclusion_n which_o be_v the_o testimony_n of_o the_o spirit_n
